#'you meddled and our gods disappeared'#theres something fun abt the doctor being so like......antitheist? is that a word?#'the philosophical position that theism should be opposed' or in secular contexts 'direct opposition to belief in any deity'#so yes antitheistic tendencies#like even just now in the last couple of pages 11 was being disdainful of these peoples 'superstitions'#the doctor kinda consistently does not believe in any gods or devils right?#13 is a bit different with this in that at least she feels like she does at least respect what believing in gods can do or mean for people?#previous doctors can be so condescending#but 13 is nicer kinda in general abt all kinds of things in this way i think#shes less condescending in general to just regular people#but still i think she would be a good opportunity to like dig into that a bit more?#having a muslim companion#we dont even know what yazs relationship with islam even is i feel like we should#13s era is so full of missed opportunities it's a shame#it would be fun to explore religion as a theme more in her era#especially bc it IS there and it does interact with the empire theme#anyway
