this is just 'modern music sucks and only the classics are good' repackaged with vaguely capitalism bad language.

(the be clear i don't disagree that it IS harder for smaller bands to get Popular And Known and that touring IS very prohibitive if you're not already well off financially but like. arguing (in the comments of the original post) that rock as a genre is dwindling just because there hasn't been like as many bands going super nova popular as there used to be is fucking ridiculous.)
