#while we're on the subject another thing that pisses me off is when people forget that that the people who suffer most from the situation#in the middle east are ..... middle easterners#'oh arabs are very homophobic' yes correct and it's an awful thing. guess who's suffering because of that? lgb arabs#'oh they're all undemocratic dictatorships' yes correct. guess who's suffering under dictatorial rule? middle easterners#'islam is a regressive religion' yes correct. who suffers? us#the world isn't divided neatly into baddies and goodies. arabs aren't somehow built to suffer more than the average joe#anyway i suppose this whole rant has just decribed racism lol#'all arabs are bad because of dictatorships islam and homophobia' okay all of those things are bad and deserve criticism#but don't act like this is a personal attack on you bc the people being attacked by dictators islamists and homophobes are also arab
