god has decided to make this a "bite your nails until your fingers bleed" kind of day for some reason
#personal#i feel like there's a name for it but i'm very exhausted#so instead have what for me approaches radical honesty but without any of the correct nomenclature#'oh amelie you're tired but you're still gonna use the word nomenclature'#listen to me. listen to me so carefully. this is a 100% true story#one time i was drunk off my ass and with a group of friends and at one point i used the word lexicon#and when asked 'what does that mean' because no one else knew what i was talking about#because i was with a bunch of other drunk high schoolers#i very nearly said 'oh it's like vernacular'#before realizing that a) i'm the kind of person who has these words in my head because they're just the first ones that come to mind#b) if someone doesn't know 'lexicon' they probably don't know 'vernacular' either#this is just who i am that's how i roll#idk why i'm like this either
