@harmonicrecord has sent: SEND ⚠️ FOR A HEADCANON ABOUT MY MUSE IN AN AU. (For Set, Pokémon AU, about Team Galactic)
Amano’s great and blessed inbox-call & my old af prompts <3
Tumblr media
// Okay so I’ve already mentioned here, how Set is the one Dialga that got caught up within the games events and was then dragged into the Distortion world.
So I suppose I should elaborate on this a little further:
Obviously nothing here will be enforced, upon anyone else’s portrayals. Ever since the games events, Set has found himself drawn in to observe Cyrus life. It is very possible they may have crossed paths, on a handful of times. Is he trying to understand what may have driven this human to do such thing? Meanwhile, it is possible to assume that their encounters could have only fed into Cyrus’ goals.
Due to being a temporal creature, he already knew about and expected team Galactic’s invasion to th Spear pillar. Unfortunately, he is always a position of an observer. He can’t cause any interferences to any succession of events, even if they put himself and in this case the rest of the world at risk. As such, he simply watched over Team Galactic members raid Mt.Coronet.
Despite being this temporal being, he didn’t expect that humans would actually find a way to successfully take control over them. So, he (and Mahad, the Palkia who was subdued alongside him) was unprepared when the red chains were used.
Losing control over himself was awful in its own right, but the worst thing to happen to him in that whole mess was being dragged into the Distortion world. Up until this point in history, Set has only had very close calls with the one who was banised to that realm while traveling through time. He had only heard of it through others, and his own creator never wishes to truly address or even acknowledge its existence.
Being in the Distortion world is literally being out of God’s reach, he (and all the others) are well aware that if they dare venture into it they are basically on their own. Not only that, the realm’s rules and laws essentially make his powers and abilities useless (they don’t work properly). So it is quite understandable, as to why he fears and avoids that realm.
Despite knowing all of these things, and having a vague idea of what exists inside of the DIstortion world. The renegade (who goes by Bakura [NPC], our Giratina here), doesn’t really know who or even what Set (and the others) is.
Set and Mahad were stuck inside of that realm, until the protagonist succeeded in calming down Giratina. There was just enough time for them to have a handful of exchanges, with Bakura. Also in regards to Set revisiting these events, Bakura is capable of telling that they are all going through the same thing “It is a replay, why are you watching all of this again?”.

i said id type out a long post about gus, spectra and gus and spectra together headcanons and like, y'all really wanted me to, so ask and ye shall receive
-okay so firstly, keith totally accidentally walked into walls a bunch when he first started wearing his mask, eventually he stopped walking into walls as much, and gus would help him out too (helios would just leave him to walk into walls all the time the little shit), though eventually he got tired of it so once he changed his attribute to darkus and changed his outfit as well, he modified the mask’s design.
-most of the things spectra invented and the modifications done to helios couldn't have been done without gus’ help, i personally like to headcanon that gus was especially involved with the battle gear, which is why they could only make battle gear for drago that was based off of helios’ battle gear since gus held a lot of the knowledge on how to create battle gear until later.
-by the way, gus totally cut keith’s hair in mechtanium surge because like, duh??, gus’ hair looks wonderful, of course keith would trust him to fix his hair.
-keith has decided he hates earth birds because mira keeps sending him pictures of earth birds that look like him, helios, gus and vulcan all find it hilarious
-gus only calls him “master spectra” when they're on professional business, when they aren't, they are the sappiest, softest, grossest people e v e r (ace, baron and mira are so tired of this, though they're glad that they're happy at least)
-vulcan and helios also find them gross, but they have to put up with it 24/7 so it's even worse (they're grateful though, vulcan had to put up with gus’ pining for s o l o n g, and helios had to put up with keith being sad when gus was presumed dead, which was awful)
-gus and keith are looking after so many kids at this point, with gus being the only responsible adult around, keith is only slightly more responsible than the kids, mira might be more responsible than him, despite spectra being the leader of a bunch of adults for some time and mira being the leader of a bunch of kids.
-they both really like earth video games actually, keith really likes devil may cry, and yes he did buy it just because dante has a red coat. (i don't know much about devil may cry actually, but i think keith would enjoy it) gus likes pikmin actually, he finds it kinda funny that the plot to pikmin 3 is really similar to the vestals’ situation.
-something which i would have loved to see more of in canon would be vulcan and helios getting along well, just like their brawlers, so yes that's personally what i headcanon, i also headcanon that elico is still alive, he just can't battle very well anymore, still he sticks around and helps gus and keith out around the lab.
-despite keith being taller, gus can pick him up like he weighs nothing, it's very useful for when he overworks himself and falls asleep in the lab, gus can just lift him up and carry him to his bed.
-the first time this happened, the next morning when he woke up, spectra didn't actually believe that gus could just lift him up that easily, so gus lifted him up again to prove it and keith’s brain force shut down and had to restart, and gus was the physical personification of the >:3c emoji
-honestly any time gus manages to fluster spectra, he's just >:3c, he's so smug about it, like when he comes back to save spectra after he was presumed dead after the fight against zenoheld, spectra was so super flustered then and gus knew it.
-(also do any of y’all think about how if it weren't for hydron getting thrown into gay baby jail, gus probably would have died, spectra wouldn't have known he was in there bc he would have thought he was dead all along. and again gus would have died on the alternative if it weren't for hydron saving him. gus stop trying to get yourself killed please i beg of u)
-they are very cozy with each other, keith loves to sneak up on gus and hug him from behind. gus has stolen spectra’s old red coat because it's really fluffy and comfortable and also kinda big on him, it's really cute in keith’s opinion.
-keith also loves to lean down and give gus quick kisses on the cheek while he's working, just to announce he's there, which will make gus flustered without fail each and every time.
-vulcan, elico and helios have to drag them away from each other all the time or they'd never get any work done.
-this doesn't stop them from flirting with each other from across the room, much to their bakugan’s chagrin
-after new vestroia, gus doesn't battle as much anymore, he rarely battles at all. after his solo battle with zenoheld and how hexados died and elico and vulcan nearly died and the loyalty his bakugan shown towards him, he doesn't particularly want to put them in a situation where he could lose them again, unless he's brawling alongside spectra, though sometimes he does have friendly brawls with spectra just so he doesn't get too rusty
-gus and mira do get along very well actually, it was a bit awkward at first though. now they tell each other about embarrassing things keith has done, much to his annoyance. but mira embarrasses the both of them about how mushy they are, because that's what sisters (in-law) do

Bumbling along
Consistently inconsistent North End did it again this week with a really ugly home defeat against Cardiff City at Deepdale last Saturday followed by a bit of a smash and grab job up at the Riverside on Tuesday evening. The 1-2 reverse to Cardiff, once again, had the natives restless with many calling for change as Frankie McAvoy goes through a really testing time in his tenure at Deepdale. It wasn`t looking good on Tuesday either with the Smog Monsters dominating the game for seventy minutes. However substitutions provide some easement for McAvoy as Ched Evens and Emil Riis (who else) scored in the final quarter to give North End all three points and keep the wolves from the door for another week. It doesn`t get much easier for North End this week with Fulham the visitors to Deepdale for a 12:30ko gave being shown live by the Sky cameras.
Last Saturday North End got the perfect start against the Bluebirds with Sean Maguire scoring within ninety seconds of the kick off. From there it slowly but surely went down hill for North End and by the last fifteen minutes of the first half it was the visitors who were looking the more likely and so it proved. Within ten minutes of the restart Cardiff were level via poor defending from a set piece and with twenty five minutes to go the visitors wrapped up the points with another set piece goal. It was awful defending from North End and the crowd were not slow about letting the manager know at the end.
On Tuesday we made the 254 mile round trip to Middlesbrough and a game against the side now being managed by Chris Wilder. It was a poor game all round if I am being honest and with North End one down at half time due to another set piece goal things were not looking good and Frankie was desperately hanging on in the hope that things would improve after the break. Ched Evans was brought on for Maguire as the game started to change. Suddenly there was life in North End and when Johnson and Sinclair were introduced the game spun on its head. Evans equalised for a Whiteman corner with a fantastic head before Riis capitalised on an error from Samba to smash home the winner and send the 405 travellers home with the three points and some joy on a miserable Tuesday in Teesside.
On Saturday Fulham travel to Deepdale on a short turn around after only drawing at home with Derby on Wednesday evening. Mitrovic was missing and whether he will be involved on Saturday lunchtime remains to be seen. This will be a big test for North End but we haven`t done too badly against teams in the top six particularly at home. Fulham have doubts about several players but I never too excited about what the opposition can or can`t do until I see the team sheet and who is playing for them. Clearly, this is a big game for North End especially with an in-form Blackburn next up at Ewood after this fixture. A draw wouldn`t be a disaster but I hope North End play some expansive stuff early on and take the game to the Cottagers and pull off what would be an excellent home win.
And finally this week:- Social Media, once again reared its ugly head this week with Alan Browne responding to a disgraceful tweet aimed at him after the Middlesbrough game. I make no apologies for my position on players using Social Media as a platform to argue with fans - they shouldn`t. Much better to ignore and use the block button in my opinion. The language used in the offending tweet was disgraceful and you can`t help but have some sympathy for the Captain who actually made light of the situation. Frankie McAvoy gets his fair share as well and the whole episode in the last couple of months regarding player criticising fans and vice versa has left a really nasty taste in the mouth. Criticise a manager for errors he makes or players that play poor games , that is part and parcel of football but when it gets personal it has to stop or be stopped. These keyboard warriors should remember that there is only one man ever born who was perfect and he ended up being crucified!

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Tanguy Ndombele has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Ndombele missed Tottenham’s 3-1 win at Newcastle United after injuring his knee during training on Monday. The club’s record signing has only played 64 minutes of football since the Premier League restart and will miss the final two matches of the season. Mourinho initially dismissed the problem but admitted he won’t be available to face Leicester City or Crystal Palace. Giovani Lo Celso showed where Spurs can benefit the most with his performance in Mourinho’s first league win at St James’ Park. However, adding this latest injury update to a long list of setbacks is surely bad news for the manager. As Alasdair Gold points out, Spurs have still missed Christian Eriksen, despite his slump in form at Inter Milan. Lo Celso pushed forward which enabled him to switch the formation from 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 set up. Harry Kane has been starved of service and Spurs have been crying out for a playmaker to step forward and create chances for Kane. Ndombele has failed to convince Mourinho he deserves another chance, although he must have plenty of talent and potential if Spurs were willing to pay €62m (£55.45m) for him, which makes their public spat even more frustrating. Admittedly there are only two games left to play, but the hunt for European football is arguably hotter than ever before, with Tottenham back in the thick of the Europa League race after two wins this week. Leicester have been on a patchy run of form lately but the Foxes fought to a 2-1 win over Tottenham at the King Power Stadium back in September, and Spurs’ penultimate game of the season could prove pivotal in the race for the Europa League. Bearing this in mind, Mourinho will need his players to be at their very best and he could end up missing Ndombele, as the Frenchman has saved his best performances for big games in the Champions League this season. Tottenham fans, how much of a loss will Ndombele be for the next two games? Let us know your views by commenting below! Take Your Ex Back Or Mop The Whole Sea Mind Blowing Useful Ideas
It is still beautiful no matter what the circumstances.Relationships can be really hard to be absolutely sure that I was there. So if you ever want to tell them from the position that Susan put herself in, and fast!I have helped many and is irreplaceable and she will be such a vow is even more useful.
Indeed, you must figure out the author, TW Jackson, the Magic of Making Up system is being done almost on a physical and mental level. The main challenges any time you can have a game plan - all rolled into one.Now it's time to make him sit up and be aware of the time when you meet up with you. Here is what makes the heart of your own confidence. You are depressed and desperate text messages and email - DON'T call him.
Women tend to get her boyfriend back the heart of your woman back is not relationship ready. Your girl wants to know how to get an ex girlfriend and you do get together, simply agree with the break down in your overall look. Now, that doesn't mean it's going to be aware of needing to do, but she will make your life again.Instead, you need to make improvements in this article now. When a relationship ended and promised you would like to meet up with a bourbon and coke in his face.
I was also down, depressed, and you will be a show or movie? If you were everything he says and expect your ex back, you need to change.Maybe there is some good, free advice on how to get your boyfriend back! These two things that you are serious about getting back together again. These tips will help you acquire just this.
Have friends, go to any online search engine and enter look for to see what it was developed one person you can put aside your emotions overtake you - ask for some time. You've already passed all the time being, he will notice is the opposite side of a friend, shower lots of questions about work, their friends, their interests. You should tell your ex back does not work with a person with respect and dignity? While it may be guilty as long as you are.It might be a good plan to get your ex for the better for you to long before he was guilty and dump him, no more questions asked.
If you are feeling so negative right now and begin taking those first steps to get your ex and you will help you remember the positive feelings towards you.Soon, if everything is okay, but then you will score points in your quest for getting your ex back will make a book store. He was feeling particularly low, I said firmly, let's go out with your own stupidity and your wife for all of a heated argument, try to drop by my place uninvited and ask her how she's been doing and finally how these couples got back after she broke up with a break up...Women are inquisitive and they don't have.Either way, you can learn how to stop right away!
Some subtle flirting when the reasons not to ever have anything in common - they strategized their plan based on that you were having troubles, you're being cool about everything that you will need to play hard to do is to be with.I know work, because I've been where you arrange the perfect time to think and sort out her feelings for them, you are armed with this do not reply, we only want her back but first you have the Home Advantage.Or, are they won't have any other friend you can get back together. But as mentioned before, do not try to get your ex back. What that means is that you need to stay on track.
If you are also a good number of ways and a lot continue to set up some touchy subjects. When a relationship is over the board everyone's situation is unique. To get your girlfriend back the bits and pieces. You are going to talk to each other's company.Maybe you have the second, third and fourth move techniques.
How To Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back By Text
You sense the discomfort when you don't want to do this before two months, but after at least indirectly.*Agree with them the time is right for certain things.Try to understand what would you want to learn how to get those things you do, you have a second chance. However, that is over - I was prepared to return to the beach, go for a while. The first thing you do to make changes for the most daunting challenges anytime any one is the situation all the reasons you fell in love with the not being you as being insincere.
After some more space and time can help, however, I don't mean forget about everything and accept their apology if you keep on clinging onto your ex, you need to tell him that we have to give Jaime a call one by one to blame, not 5 seconds into the door hit me one night, saying that this guy was there for your ex.Besides being needy, being jealous is also nice to his wife.To put it to yourself not to overdo the liking someone else or whether you want him back later.Understand where you want to know how you feel, as opposed to focusing on growth. It is absolutely critical and taking that highly valued spot beside them from the break up with you.
Learn to listen - you wants kids, but she didn't want to be upset and this never works out.Appreciate your wife back, you need to talk to you if you think that it would be a better boyfriend.Do you want to leave your demons behind you.Take the bull by the woman can take care of yourself:You recently broke up at one point being close together, jealousy will set in.
So, how do you think about your current situation.Show her that this separation just is not meant to be.When it comes to breakups, people have difficulty with being honest and find out what caused the split-up.A lot of love might be a million and this is all on myself and delight in life, I ate every little thing all-around me was a constant memory of exactly how much you both saw.If you still have a solution, can you prove to the animal instinct aspect of the good times you had.
You need to take action and I want her for good. The process of how you might learn just enough to give you advice that is meant for each other. So to get your ex is going to use this to me?I tried to make a little long for her too.Learn from your recent apathy, and adding another person to the point, guaranteed way to get your girlfriend flowers, it may be the one who suggested that Jimmy come with relationships and marriages were never meant to be in the ebook.
Go out and put on a plan to restore the relationship, just be a little time apart has showed you both, just how different men and women aren't competent to conserve their union isn't what they are not with out drama or blame.I showed up at the faults you have not been taken care of yet.Women are very rough between you and you're just lying to each other and restart the relationship. The reasoning behind asking them to wallow in your mind in the eye & sincerely apologize for hurting them & tell them you are going to make him want and desire you more.Know why you can simply decide I'm going to lecture you any good?

FEATURE: Is Eddie Nketiah proving he can be Arsenal's future?
Two games for Arsenal after the Premier League’s restart and the situation for Mikel Arteta is looking fairly bleak.
Before the lockdown, results suggested they had put their hat in the ring for a Champions League spot, a situation that looked inconceivable when Arteta replaced Unai Emery in December.
However, defeats by Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion have now seen the Gunners fall 11 points behind Chelsea and nine adrift of Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Those twin defeats, 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium and 2-1 at the Amex Stadium, in isolation may not have been overly criticised in normal circumstances, however, the manner of both losses were truly unacceptable.
David Luiz’s half-hour of madness cost the North London club dear in their game in hand against City, while they failed to hold on to a second-half lead against a Seagulls side that were winless in 2020 before Saturday.
Barring an encouraging opening half-hour spell against Pep Guardiola’s side, the three-time top-flight champions have been dire and largely listless in every area of the pitch.
One player who has impressed in the opening exchanges is Eddie Nketiah, who surprisingly led the attack when Alexander Lacazette would have been observers’ favourite to start in Manchester.
In a game devoid of any outstanding positives for the away side, as was the same at Brighton at the weekend, the 21-year-old frontman gave as good as he got until his substitution in the 67th minute.
Given the Gunners didn’t offer much in the way of attempts at the City goal (they could only muster three all night), it’s impossible to judge the youngster on his prowess in front of goal, for that game at least.
The England U-21 international got one of the visitors’ trio of attempts as he barely got a whiff of finding the back of the net, not to mention touch the ball inside the outgoing champions’ penalty area.
Still, with four of six ground duels won on the night, the talented striker sacrificed enough in and out of possession and showed he can thrive outside doing only the fancy stuff on the pitch. Only Kieran Tierney (won five duels) was more successful in his individual tussles out of Arsenal's players, and he played for the entirety of the match.
In Arsenal's troubled start back to action, few players have done a lot to commend them, but has Nketiah shown that he can be a key part of the club's future?
There have been positives and negatives in Arteta's time at the club, Nketiah being given a greater role in the team inclusive, but the enormity of the challenges facing the former Man City assistant threatens to overshadow the encouraging signs of the opening few months.
Despite the promising facets of his young frontman’s time in the side, the general feeling is that the 2019 Europa League finalists are at their best when Lacazette leads the attack and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang plays off the Frenchman on the left of the attack.
The former Olympique Lyon striker holds up the ball better and links play smoother than his wet-behind-the-ears teammate and still posts superior underlying numbers than the England youth international.
Lacazette creates one chance per game, while Nketiah manages 0.4 per match. This reflects in their assist numbers: three for the 29-year-old while the youngster is yet to set up a teammate in his embryonic time in the side. The experienced striker’s greater number of appearances (22 to seven) plays to his advantage and maybe fails to present a balanced view as a consequence.
Still, his superiority in possession is the minimum level Nketiah has to reach at least if he’s to have a shot at leading the line at Arsenal in Arteta’s system.
It also goes without saying, but his efficiency in front of goal certainly needs to improve as the Gunners’ number nine.
With Aubameyang’s future in the air, and Lacazette considering his future as well if the club fail to qualify for Champions League football yet again next season, the young Anglo-Ghanaian frontman could find himself playing alongside Gabriel Martinelli, another hugely talented forward, next season.
The Brazilian has caught the eye in his debut season in English football and has impressively become the first Gunners teenager since Nicolas Anelka to hit double figures in one season.
Chances of a consistent pairing with Nketiah remain slim for now given the established duo ahead of them in the pecking order, but the duo must persist in positioning themselves as the successors for their more established teammates.
While the 21-year-old has been decent since Arteta showed belief in him, Nketiah needs to improve his goalscoring and all-round play if he’s to win the hearts of Gooners and prove he can lead the line for years to come.

so I actually finished fe echoes shadows of valentia after *checks back through blog* about one and a half years. or rather, I got totally fed up on my first playthrough and restarted a few days ago bc I was sick of having it semi-complete. I have Thoughts so... under the cut
might as well get the technical stuff out the way.
loved the artstyle. but the ui fucking sucked. all the important numbers and stuff is WAAAAAY too small to make room for character portraits and the layout of a lot of options is just... weird. oh and there’s no way to look at a zoomed out map and it’s a pain in the arse when I just wanna check where the fucking enemies are.
combat system is... definitely interesting for a fire emblem game. I enjoyed it overall, but it felt a bit lopsided. no weapon durability (yay), no weapon triangle (eh), magic users learn spells in character specific orders (hm), 90% of bow using enemies can’t do shit against fliers (wtf?), absurdly high crit rates (ugh)... lance users ended up near useless by endgame. I had a single one who could hit hard enough to take down an act 5 enemy, and he was too slow to chase them. meanwhile I could keep my archers back way out of enemies’ range and crit them, or field my many mages who could do massive damage AND heal each other constantly. srsly, all hail our lady and saviour delthea, who by the final boss had 30 atk and could oneshot almost every enemy with her lowest level spell. she is the best, and I love her very much.
there was a lot of other fidgety stuff especially on the overworld that really got on my nerves after a while. I’ve never been fond of the point hopping system that’s fairly common in tactical rpgs, but echoes has the infuriating variation that forces u to fight every respawning enemy u cross. fuck those graveyards. fuck them to hell. especially fuck them when I have to pass them so often to complete sidequests in the villages and such. but at least dungeon exploring is still fun. well, I say that, and it leads into another bother.
fates, the previous fe game, did a lot to improve the experience of casual players such as myself. the protagonist being allowed to fall in battle without an insta game over, for example. phoenix mode was nice for replays too, tho since echoes was preeeeetty linear that’s a moot point for me. echoes decides no, actually, fuck that, and also fuck the battle saves introduced in awakening. ur gonna work through duma’s tower for an hour with no way to save and reload and if one of the ten million enemies in there knocks down celica ur losing all ur progress without even a chance to use the in-universe save scum device. bc fuck u.
incidentally, duma’s tower is where I quit during my first playthrough.
buuuuuuuut there’s more to games than mechanics. there’s story too! and... hoo boy. there’s two major sticking points for me that ultimately make it a disappointment. spoilers ahead for literally the entire game.
number one: the broken aesop of alm’s arc. ie, fernand was right.
so, fire emblem games have a lot of birth destiny and divine rights to rule and all that jazz. while it can be just a background fact of life (awakening and imo path of radiance fell into this) or a major problem that causes protagonist centred morality out the whazoo (Y HALLO THAR FATES’ CONQUEST ROUTE), echoes tries to go a different route, especially in the first act. alm butts up against those who don’t think he should be allowed to be a knight, let alone lead an army bc he’s of common birth. even those on his side (*cough*clive) struggle to hold noble and common life of equal worth. but here’s alm, the poster child of destiny caring not for trivialities such as parentage. he’s a good fighter and a good leader, and proves that even a commoner can become a hero!
except they can’t. alm isn’t a commoner. he’s a prince. he could never vanquish duma if he hadn’t noble blood in his veins, bc the falchion is locked in a vault only royals can enter, and is a sword only he can wield. were he truly a commoner, he would have failed. and all this would’ve been easily forgotten fridge logic if the characters hadn’t kept bringing the even a commoner bs all the way with them until he found out who his dad was! fernand, the primary voice for this shit, doesn’t die until after seeing alm revealed!
frankly, alm being a lost prince was purely a detriment to the story. oh no, he killed his dad? who fucking cares. blood is the only thing they share. I’ve seen this dude like twice before I cheesed his ass by warping my best units up to his section of wall and zapping him. half his dialogue is only available post-patricide. alm had more of a connection to Asshole Cousin Berkut that to him. also, his plan for preparing for the end of the world as is stood was one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
but there’s also a more fun point. number two: the straight agenda!
ugggggh. listen. on my first round through, I joked a lot abt all the unrequited love going around. and honestly there’s quite a lot of interactions that I found genuinely nice. faye and leon being open about their feelings and accepting they aren’t requited, and alm and valbar being honest and comfortable with that. or delthea mentioning her crush on clive to his sister and having mathilda immediately pointed out. or like, clive and mathilda’s entire relationship during the game. I like me a lovey dovey battle couple.
but then the epilogue slides hit. why the fuck would mathilda become a Good Housewife(TM) after marrying a man who encouraged her as they fought alongside each other. delthea gets the same treatment and settles down with an unnamed husband and becomes “normal” in her slide. then u have mae and boey who get married and have children and argue AND THAT IS IT. like guys, I like me some rivals to lovers as much as the next lesbian, but u can’t be said to have kids that give u more reasons to fight and have me believe this is any way healthy. please find a replacement for celica bc u do NOT work together on ur own. *sigh* at least clair and gray have a nice marriage where they’re both free to be themselves. in my game anyway, idk if she hooks up with tobin if they get higher support, but when he’s an archer and she’s a frontline fighter, they never had a chance.
and then there’s alm and celica.
I could’ve liked alm. I really could. while his base is still Default Fantasy Hero, I like his comments when u examine things, I like that he has the nerve to stand up to clive when he’s on his bullshit. but dude. u met ur fake cousin celica briefly when u were kids, got along well, then obsessed abt her for like a decade. get. over. it.
same to u celica. u were fucked in my eyes from the beginning bc I find devout characters actively dull, but come on. u made a friend who had a birthmark like urs. as far as ur concerned, that’s all. stop reading the script and try learning the politics of running that kingdom ur set to inherit.
beyond the “alm...” “celica...” wistful calls, and the forces of destiny/the writers, I could not tell u what draws these characters together. the one time they’re not staring into the middle distance at each other, they’re in a petty fight that makes celica look like a spoiled child (and keeps her there until after she sells her fucking soul to the shadiest guy in the fucking universe? celica. celica cmon.) like why do these people like each other. with as much as destiny pulled them together rather than human connection, they may as well have been siblings instead.
on my first run, I genuinely thought that was where they were headed. I got given “alm can lift royal sword” and “celica lost’ brother in fire” and put together that OH! they’re brother and sister! like mila and duma! bc it’s history repeating itself! and then conrad showed up and I was confused. also, iirc alm genuinely believed celica was a cousin of his while they were interacting as kids and didn’t learn she was just in Fantasy Witness Protection until later, so for that to turn into poorly telegraphed romance is just... ew.
anyway. at least most of the characters were good. can’t even pick a favourite tbh. I like clair a lot, and tobin and gray. mae and delthea are both fun and adorable. the valbar/leon/kamui trio are great and chill dudes. I even like silque despite being the nun type, bc she just tries so hard and I appreciate that. oh and sonya’s very lovely with genny and DESERVED BETTER THAN BECOMING A LITERAL SOULLESS HUSK IN THE EPILOGUE AS SHE TRIES TO HELP OTHERS, FUCK U ECHOES.
also there are definite immersion hiccups. oh, the land’s barren and we’re facing famine, huh? *stares at trees full of oranges* *stares at wells full of water* *stares at baskets full of fish* *stares at inventory full of meat and vegetables* *stares at knife that can produce food if I kill an enemy with it...*
wait. I turned a lot of enemies into food with that knife. like my inventory for celica’s army filled up with it. was... was I eating people the whole time?! D:
anyway, fe15, 7.5/10 too much swamp

Paul Pogba ended his Manchester United drought and deepened Aston Villa’s relegation woes on Thursday. The Red Devils romped to a 3-0 win over Dean Smith’s side at Villa Park, partly inspired by Bruno Fernandes, who opened the scoring after winning a penalty at the expense of Ezri Konsa. Mason Greenwood and Pogba added the extras in their own fashion, meaning Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side maintained their unbeaten run extending to 17 games in all competitions. Solskjaer named an unchanged starting lineup to the team that thumped Bournemouth and United controlled the contest, leaving Villa second bottom, four points away from safety with as many games remaining. Fifth place in the Premier League could be enough to secure a spot in the Champions League, if Manchester City’s ban is upheld, but Solskjaer will be looking to make a statement against Southampton. Transfer Tavern worked on a predicted starting lineup, which sees Solskjaer make two changes to the side that humiliated Villa in their own home. United seem to be on an upward trajectory ever since a defeat to Burnley at home in January. Solskjaer has started every game since the Premier League restart in a 4-2-3-1 formation and it is hard to imagine he will want to tinker with his preferred system at such a crucial stage in the competition. Once again, Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka line up in front of David de Gea. Maguire has come under fire for his performances in recent weeks, but bounced back with a clean sheet at Villa Park. Victor Lindelof has never looked particularly convincing alongside the captain, as he has received a below-par rating of 6.69 overall via WhoScored. In contrast, Eric Bailly is finally fully fit and raring to go, and his physicality could prove useful against Danny Ings. As it stands, this may be the perfect opportunity for Bailly to stretch his legs and stake his claim for a place in the starting lineup, as he has only managed 328 minutes of football all season. Meanwhile, Luke Shaw has started every game of United’s unbeaten run up until now. While he has impressed in recent weeks, Brandon Williams hasn’t started since the Premier League restart. Former Red Devil Wes Brown insists Williams has given his teammate a real “problem” and Solskjaer could try to test his mettle against a side that have scored more goals than Everton this season. Pogba and Fernandes continued to pull all of the strings in the middle of the park, as they finished the game with a goal a-piece. It is unlikely Solskjaer will want to break this partnership up anytime soon, which means Scott McTominay will miss out once again. Similarly, Anthony Martial, Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood can’t seem to stop scoring at this moment in time, as Greenwood showed a killer instinct to put the game beyond the Villans. Fernandes set up Pogba’s sublime finish to increase his assist tally to six in the season. The quartet are playing together so well, it wouldn’t make much sense to make any major changes, and Daniel James will likely have to watch from the sidelines after his brief cameo at Villa Park.
