Idk y'all the bush/gore election happened when I was in high school and still too young to vote and in our stupid little hypothetical baby elections I voted for Nader and I learned really, REALLY fucking fast what throwing away your vote does. Do you understand that almost 25 years later I still feel tangibly, actually ashamed that I threw away my vote in a mock election in junior year of high school? I haven't missed an election since. I don't remember a single goddamn thing about Kerry's platform, but I knew he wasn't Bush, who was a certified ghoul. I voted for Obama even though he refused to support marriage equality. I wanted Bernie, or Warren, but I still voted for Hillary, because she's who she got. I wish our radically progressive darlings had the nom too but in the meantime you have to make the road easier for them until they get there. You have to vote in your local election and lift them up. You have to vote on your local proposals. Staying home is never ever an option and frankly I think if you can't spend a half hour of your day once a fucking year to make SOMEONE'S life better then I think you should be ashamed of yourself.
