Okay, I guess I was officially spoiled with BG3 and didn't realize it, because I've tried to start two separate CRPGs this week and kind of fizzled out in the first spot once the opening scenario starts, not because of graphics, voice acting, lack of cutscenes... but because character portraits were so limited and divorced from what you create in the character creator, it caused too much cognitive dissonance and I was like "I'll... come back to this later."

#this is a very stupid reason to not play a game i admit 100%#poor poe and wotr -- i know you are good games in my library that deserve to be played #but man the portrait options were so limited #i thought i was going to be clever and just screenshot bg3's character creator #and use that #but it looked too different and added to my issue 😭 rip #now i'm just like pouting and like #'fine i guess i'll just see if gale squad can play cutscenes again without things freezing every 10 seconds'
