like i'm trying to find a way to elaborate on this but it really comes down to i cannot adequately explain that if you're watching a particular genre you're going to see themes of that genre. if you're watching the "a monster loves someone and can still hurt them" genre take a wild guess what you'll see
no offence but you can really tell when someone doesn't understand the concept of gothic horror/gothic romance while they're watching gothic horror/gothic romance.
