hm. okay. let me take this bit by bit.
you genuinely have to do a lot of thinking
acknowledged as much.
think on why you make an exception for trans women in this argument
i actually said a number of things about why i'm making an "exception" here. you put most of them in the screenshot.
(i put white in quotations because i've had multiple people i know online have racist white transfem allegations put against them while just not being white but they were unable to speak out and be heard due to transmisogyny)
you surely have to understand the "how dare you say we piss on the poor" here in taking me saying "i think this is often a valid criticism of white folks" and correlating it with nonwhite transfems getting unfair allegations brought towards them.
i acknowledge that trans women are held to a higher standard on.. so many things, and will have false allegations brought against them constantly. this is doubly true, as i feel you acknowledge, for nonwhite transfems. a lot of the time the criticism of the "nazi phase" talk leads to harassment of nonwhite and especially black trans women for having the gall to make the criticism in the first place- a criticism which is often pointing out the way that white folks, and especially queer white folk, will very nonchalantly talk about such phases in their past.
consider the rampant use of untrue rumours and callouts against trans women on tumblr that frequently call them racist in a bold faced lie
"there are definitely folks who should reconsider how and why they're talking about this idea". furthermore, in case it needs saying, i think it's shitty how often that exact things happens. to repeat, it's shitty that trans women are more susceptible to having shit made up about them.
consider why you think bringing up keffals, who got swatted and was the target of a directed harrassment campaign and had her life endangered was a good idea in these reblogs [...] why was this your example? did you know that happened?
actually, this is the kind of thing that is exactly the reason i responded why i did. for starters, i brought up keffals because she is a racist white woman with a decent following who, along with her fans and defenders, will use the awful harassment campaign against her as a shield for all the awful ableist and racist shit she says. it's not a pile-on to point out that saying and doing racist shit, then calling those calling you out for it the r-slur, then continuing to do even more heinous racist shit, is... shitty.
i mean really, this is exactly the thing i'm talking about. calling out keffals' shitty behavior is met with "but she was met with such and such because of transmisogyny!", and the same is said regardless of the level of shit faced.
for clarity, that transmisogyny is still unacceptable, and she did not deserve to face any of that. that just doesn't suddenly mean her racism can't be called out. to reiterate for the thousandth time, queerness does get used as a shield for racism.
have you dared to read any information on this from a black trans woman herself. or anything.
...yes? im not even sure i understand the question, what did you think i meant?
i hope you smarten up for your care receivers' good because you definitely are butting in when its not needed here.
hey so fuck all the way off. i dont know if you think you're being plural supportive here, but if i tell you "i do have experience as a trans woman and this is not me butting into a topic that isn't mine", you should take that at its word. i share memories the most out of anyone in the system, and that includes a good 20+ years of transfem experience. i didn't say it for fun. i said it to make explicitly clear that i have experience enough to speak on it.
every socially conscious person knows about the "misogyny in rap music" dogwhistle, right? it's a classic, because it hides its bigoted assumptions inside of a half-truth. rap music is male-dominated, and there is a pattern of misogyny within it, but anyone who focuses on it exclusively is leaving out half the story. men are misogynistic, but black men are more vulnerable. If I, a white person, decided to make it my mission to highlight the misogyny and queerphobia of black men specifically, it would be racist of me, no matter how many valid examples i managed to find. i wouldn't be saying it out loud, but i would be implicating black men as being uniquely bigoted, when the truth is simply that i found an easy target to exploit. if you called me on this, and I replied "you can't use your race as a shield when you get called out" it would be an absurd and disgusting deflection. I wouldn't be contradicting anything, it'd be a non sequitur that *also* denies the vulnerability of the group i am exploiting.
anyways, rethink your conception of the "fat incel reddit mod" and the "white transfem who had a nazi phase." thanks for reading
