I had no real requirement to obtain a Mac when I first did. I simply like their design. Macs are just plain cool. This is a fantastic enough reason for some to buy a mac. They are amazing.

For me there are 2 reason I have not changed to the Mac full time. First is the simple fact that in my property life I must get the native MLS services via a Windows PC. It just won't work any other way. The applications we use to get the MLS database only works with Internet Explorer which only works with Widows.

The second, and very huge explanation is that the cash. I can't manage to keep Mac just systems. The Apple goods are more expensive. The hardware cost are much greater. The computer software is higher. Repairs and components are way higher. Any and everything to do with the Mac system costs more.

The price tag is exactly what it is. For some the problem is minor, but in case you've got a budget you'd better consider it carefully. I really like the Mac and would love to make it my only system but I figure the transfer would run me about 3-4 million in hardware plus software expenses.

Here is my advice if you're moving over to a Mac. Since the cost of hardware is so high I advise purchasing the extended AppleCare coverage. If your machine needs repair after the warranty coverage finishes it will be rather costly. These machines are very well built and will last for quite a while but they're machine and do neglect.

If you're going to change with now experience with Mac operating system then I suggest that you locate an Apple user to provide you a simple lesson on working the basic capabilities. It's not terribly different and the average user will not have much trouble with it. When you learn how to open a browser window you can just Google your own "how to" questions and you'll find plenty of help.
