silver is taken aback, watching his lord with surprise written all over. what could've triggered such an ice breaker? silver ponders a minute or so, desperately hoping not to be caught by sandman's merciless grip during so. to be told of such high praise ... the knight in training couldn't say if he even deserved it, yet. there was so much he had to do for the sake of peace and prosperity.

finally, the silver haired would only nod as aurora eyes gazed up at the mighty prince of briar valley. ❛ ...thank you, malleus-sama. i assure you, though, i'm alright. ❜ he begins, arms crossed over chest firmly. ❛ i only strive to become stronger as to return my deepest gratitude to you and father, for taking me in and even accepting me despite our differences. ❜ human or fae, it didn't matter - life was far too wonderful to be wasting it, either way. ❛ ahh...but, can i ask why telling me all this? ❜

death is sleep...in a way, silver could see the notion. maybe this was from his own experience with sleep, the troubling relationship he had with said notion, but he can't say whether this is what star meant or something entirely different. one bird flew atop silver's shoulder to sit comfortably, almost as a reminder for him not to fall prey to the sandman's grip, whilst listening to star's rambles as the two rested from yet another sparring session. he certainly felt better after such strenuous training...perhaps a 'thank you' gift is ought to be given afterwards.

he needn't be told twice. on several occasions, should sebek be preoccupied with other matters at hand, star volunteered to spar against silver. this way, not only would the knight in training improve his own abilities - as well as learn where was it he's mistaking - but star, too, could do the same as a succubus. that, and the two became better friends after each session ... something silver could appreciate even if finding himself quite boring. baton clutched in one hand, he readies with a sharp inhale. ❛ don't hold yourself back...come at me with all your might, star. ❜ is all silver says, sternly but with a tint of assurance in his voice.

breathless...? this wasn't good, by any means. for a moment, aurora eyes blinked in confusion while looking over enma's form almost intensely. she seemed fine, much which relieved silver, but ... after a minute of silence, the knight in training found himself almost dozing off - yet again - and quickly shaking his head. ❛ a-ahhh...sorry...i don't think i follow you, enma. ❜ he calmly responds, too nonchalantly even, but he truly was concerned. though, the same couldn't be said for his heart ... it beat vigorously, akin during times he trained with sebek.

there's no time to concern over that, though. ❛ if you want, i can leave you alone. i won't be angry or anything. ❜ oh, what aloofness he holds yet there is so much within, something far too sweet he tried so hard to understand. maybe father will have a better idea on the matter.

somewhere along the way, sleepiness did it's bidding. while doing his best in taming the horse and listening to riddle, silver found himself unable to focus. bit by bit, his senses grew number as the sandman did its' duty. luckily enough, said horse, which he thoroughly tended to prior the situation he fell victim to countlessly ( no ... he is no victim. what foolish guardian would think such?! ), neighed in his face which triggered those auroral eyes awake. ❛ ah...!!! ❜ jolting upwards, silver took a quick scan of his surroundings before setting his sight on the horse which was understandably upset then at riddle with an apologetic gaze. ❛ sorry ... i must have dozen off, again... ❜

consider it miracle silver even caught half of what the leader of heartslabyul talked about, for after finishing on what was supposed to be an easy task, the knight in training sighs defeatedly. ❛ you're right...i can't keep letting my sleeping spells get the best of me. this is putting malleus-sama to shame...i can't allow that! thank you for the kind words, riddle, i'll do my best not to disappoint your expectations. ❜ only hard work will benefit the seeming curse, without any excuse - that, silver was certain of. he couldn't sit still, not when there was so much to do in order to return the gratitude to those who have given him such a grandiose chance to live a life this beautiful.
