Tamaki Amajiki x Reader: Fake Marriage

Tamaki and reader decided to get a marriage license for hero agency insurance purposes since their long time friends and so that should anything happen to Tamaki in the field, he can make sure that his agency is covered and that the reader would inherit it. The Hero Insurance companies can be extremely tricky to deal with so the reader poses as Tamaki’s spouse who is a non hero but works in the agency.

The reader’s quirk is called Archive. (If you��ve seen Fairy Tail, it’s the same as the blue Pegasus guy’s magic) Basically the reader’s quirk creates a vast information network that spans centuries into the past. This quirk is similar to Iida’s family’s engine quirk as it’s passed down through generations. Any information that has been learned throughout the reader’s blood relatives is automatically added to the archive.

Since the reader isn’t a fighter they work as a support for heroes. They help Tamaki by overseeing his patrols and helping guide him via their quirk’s communication link.

During the raid at the Gunga Mountain Villa and the Jaku Hospital, the reader was with All might inside the room with the attack coordinators. When Shigaraki took out communications via EMP, the reader was the only person who was able to still have any contact with the field.

Hado, Mirio and Tamaki all use the reader’s Archive quirk as network for information as well as communications since the reader doesn’t really have that many drawbacks. Tamaki is especially grateful for the reader since they’re always talking him through everything whenever his anxiety gets to him.

Since Tamaki is a naturally shy person, I personally headcannon that after highschool he decided to become an underground hero who specializes in steak outs, espionage, and any task with minimal interaction. Or at the very least, he’s a nighttime hero.

Reader handles the day to day stuff as well as hiring. The reader is the public face who handles the media as well as any publicity while Tamaki is the backbone. The reader has made sure that the entire staff from those who handle paperwork and manage menial and mundane tasks to even the sidekicks, all of them are aware of Amajiki’s shyness and most likely have their own social hang ups

Whenever there is a pro hero gala or event that they’re invited to, reader uses their marriage to keep fans from trying to get with Tamaki. The reader does a lot of the talking for him.

Whenever Tamaki has to talk to reporters, the reader is always telling him what to say and is telling him how good he’s doing and encourages him.

You always make sure to have Bento’s ready and prepared for Tamaki. You make sure that he has whatever food he needs and that his meals are both tasty and delicious as well as healthy and useful for his quirk.

For fun, and to tease him, you’ll write notes in his bentos for him to find. Often times the notes are the typical lovey dovey notes that a mother or girlfriend will write.

☆ Honestly, you were just upset today. Things weren’t going the way that they were supposed to. Granted, they were small things but they still bothered you. Eventually building up to your soured mood. 

You’d tried talking to “friends” about it, but we’re just given responses like, “Do you know how minor that is compared to my day?” Or, “Don’t focus on the negative,” and the most common, “Why are you being so selfish?” 

After those you just gave up and tried to get through your day. Trying to get back in the excited mood because you were supposed to hang out with Kirishima today. So everything would be fine shortly, or at least that’s what you thought.

He showed up at your apartment to just watch movies, and you figured it would be okay. However, as the movie went on you found yourself not able to pay attention. Kirishima noticed this as well and immediately asked what was wrong. When you brushed it off with a “nothing,” he knew it wasn’t nothing. 

Normally cuddles always brought you out of your saddened state, at least a little. So he wraps his arms around you in a warm hug and tries to snuggle close. This simple but oh so caring act of affection was not able to bring you out of your mood, in fact it almost worsened. You nudged him off with the excuse that it was “too hot.”

Oh, he thought. 

You were really upset, and there was nothing he could do. The only thing he could do, the only thing he knew he excelled at in life, couldn’t help. So why was he even here? It made him feel useless, and stupid. 

Quickly realizing that his mood had changed, you started to feel bad. Gosh why couldn’t you just stop being so selfish? 

“Sorry,” he quickly stated before you could.

“What are you sorry for? I-I should be the one who’s sorry..”

“No I,” he sighed deeply, “I don’t know how to comfort you, and there’s nothing I can do to help so I’m basically use-“

You cut him off with a peck on his forehead.

☆ Tamaki comes home everyday, to your shared apartment, and everyday you’re the first person he sees. He always finds you where ever you are, normally in your study, and you hug and kiss him. Then there in the room you guys talk about your days and unwind, mostly him listening to you. 

Recently though, you had noticed him being more frustrated? You weren’t sure what if was but it was always after you hugged and kissed him, you could tell because his brow would slightly furrow and his lips would poke out in a pout. You weren’t sure why though, did your breath stink? No. Were you hugging him too tight? No Tamaki loves your hugs. So what could it be?

You called up the person who knows him second best, his closest friend, a friend of yours as well since you’ve started dating Tamaki. Mirio. You figured Tamaki might have said something to him even if it was just a mumbling her overheard, and you figured correctly. 

Mirio told you he had only heard Tamaki mumbling about courage and greetings recently, which was enough for you to put two and two together. You thanked him for his helpful information and waited on Tamaki to arrive home. It was his early shift today so at about 7 he’d be home.

You waited this time, in the living room. This time when he came in you simply gave him a, “hey ‘tama” and he greeted you back coming to sit on the couch with you. For a moment he stared, waiting, almost expectantly. 

He was building himself up, and you were giving him time. It wasn’t awkward silence, just expecting, patient silence. After a couple minutes you were about to speak when he kissed you. 

I did it! Was all he could think of, but he was a bit harsh and one of his teeth bit your lip causing you to break the kiss. 

Oh no, what if I was right? She didn’t want to kiss me at all! I should’ve just gave up-

“Tamaki? Are you okay?”

“I-I’m…I’m sorry,” he said in a hushed tone.

“It’s okay, accidents happen.”

Then it clicked in his brain, he was so excited he had finally done it, he accidentally hurt you in the process. It made him sad, a sullen look now appeared over his features.

“I know Tama, and it’s okay,” you reassured him, “you can just keep trying.”

Smiling he asked hopefully, “really?”

Momo and mitsuki tease him about it by sending casual messages then following it up with “ですか”. This kind of polite speech doesn’t exist in English, so this was the closest way to convey the OG conversation’s tone

This is another joke that can’t be properly conveyed in English without further context, Momo and Mitsuki start adding “や” (ya) at the end of their messages which is a form of speech under a style called “yakuwarigo”, used in manga/anime (amongst other forms of media) to indicate age. The “ya” in this case is added to elderly characters’ speech, hence why I chose to add the “ol’ man” so that Haruka’s comment makes sense.

a/n; this was very calming to write!! i started it at the beginning of the day yesterday so it was kinda a destresser 😭 i feel like i wrote tamaki to dramaticly but also that is kinda his thing. much love to tamaki suoh, and to you anon!!

Tamaki Suoh is a very elegant, very grand, and very poise guy. It’s who he is. It’s not like you could stop his over the top gestures or vehement antics.

When sitting around in the Host Club, not doing anything in particular, you always see him as such. You like to think that he loves the theatrics more than anything. However, you’d also like to think there is one more thing he loves.

“Y/N, Dear?” You’re forcefully taken out of your dozing off. Tamaki arrived to you with a red rose in his hand and another hand behind his back.

You couldn’t help but turn away at this magnificent gesture. What's with this guy, seriously? Despite yourself, you respond, “Hi, Tamaki-senpai.”

“I couldn’t help but notice you falling asleep over here! Is the Host Club not to your standards!? What would you have in mind, for a better and bigger host club,” He kept going. Something you noticed over your time of knowing him, is that he also, really likes to talk.

You let out a gentle laugh, “It’s okay! I’m just tired from school, that's all.”

Tamaki’s worrying gaze fell upon you, “A girl like you shouldn’t be so tired to the point of falling asleep during club hours! Are you sure there’s nothing more?”

Seeing Tamaki be so outwardly caring made your hands cover your face, parting two fingers to be able to see him with one eye. You sigh, “It’s alright Tamaki-senpai, seriously. Nothing to be worried over.”

Even after your reply, you knew he wouldn’t let this go.

He places the rose in your hand and takes a seat next to you. He looks around the room, sighing every other second. “Y/N. This is horrible! One should be able to get a healthy amount of rest to be able to live the day to the fullest!” He stretches out his arms and they dramatically fall onto the back of the sofa.

You look at him and laugh a little. “Here,” you lend out your hand to place the rose under his face, “Thanks for worrying about me, but I’m okay, I mean it.”

Instead of taking the rose, he turns his head directly to you. “No, no! Y/N, I’m coming over tonight, we’re going to get you to bed on time!”

You drop the rose and immediately go to cover your face again. Seriously, what's with him? Why is he so direct like this? Your worries floating around in your mind do not come to fruition, all you can muster up in this state is a measly, “Oh, Oh, Okay…”

“Sush!” Unable to move his arms around due to the both of them being occupied he put more expression into his face, “This is simply what a gentleman like I should do! Besides, it may be the heaviness of the bags that make you so tired.”

He was really thoughtful, even if it costs your brain functioning properly. You feel a slight heat rush to your face, but you don’t feel a need to cover up this time. “Maybe!”

As the two of you arrived at your house, you decided to take initiative, “You can sleep in my bed, I’ll set up one of our spare mattresses,” before you finish speaking Tamaki takes a hold of your hand, but it was subtle.

“I don’t think so. Sleeping on something like that could cause you even more sleep debt!” He’s still holding your hand. It’s soft, it's like a comforting blanket.

You want to respond but you’re a bit too focused on the fact he’s holding your hand just to walk you through your own house. “Ah, um…”

“I’ll sleep on the mattress! Don’t worry!” He swings his arms up to a ‘Hooray!’ position, causing your arm to follow.

He’s so… Your were visibly flustered by now, all you could say was a very soft, “…Yeah.”

The afternoon passes by quicker than ever with him around. He’s endless, and yet such a fun version of infinity. Heading to your room, he nearly tripped over nothing, it’s an amazing sight to see him have this much fun.

“So, I sleep there,” Tamaki pointed to the ground next to your bed, “and you, there?”

“Yeah, that’s pretty much the plan.” You wonder why he bothered asking such an obvious question.

Standing around, Tamaki checked out the room. He started to hum under his breath, almost as if wondering why he asked that as well.

“Y/N, do you think your sleep would… be better if I was in the bed with you?” He did not ask this while looking at you, he stood with his eyes firmly at the wall.

Hmm? Your face, bright red, “Um,” you stutter out your words, “Yea, Yeah, that’s,” You’d hate to inform him that if he was to sleep with you in your bed your heart would actually be racing and it would be much harder to actually go to sleep, so you say, “O- Okay. It’s okay.”

Tamaki’s smile illuminated the room, “You’re absolutely adorable! Alright, no mattress it is!”

“Uh.. Uhuh…” Calling you adorable like that made your thoughts completely incomprehensible.

Getting into bed, you could feel your heart beating out of your chest. Then, a flash. He was there too, with his eyes towards yours.

If you wanted to have a conversation with him, your brain certainly disagreed with you. Even with the light’s off, and the light in the sky dimmed, he was so clear to you. His blonde hair, his purple eyes. Those things were just something you saw everyday. But, tonight, staring at his natural features, you were star-struck. He gave you the softest smile you think you’ve seen in your whole life.

“I love you, dear.” He spoke gently, not too loud to wake you up if you fell asleep, but not too quiet so you wouldn’t hear.

You let out a sound of embarrassment, since that’s all you could really do, with your words and thoughts and actions being all jumbled up. Your heartbeat was loud and Tamaki could definitely feel it, and the blood rushing to your face was fast.

With the last few working brain cells, you manage to let out, “I love you, too.”

You saw him fall asleep after that. You’d love to go to sleep too, but maybe this sight—a sight you’d print out if given the chance—was close enough to repay your sleep debt. Your heartbeat calms as the night slowly takes you to dreamland. The blush will probably be staying on your face, though.

When drifting out, you think to yourself. Would life be comfortable if you two were together every night like this?

It wouldn’t be comfortable! You have zero-sense around him! Yet… it’s something you’d enjoy.

Yeah.

You wouldn’t mind this, for the rest of your life.
