"We miss you too," Sarah being away at school was what was best, and Peggy was no stranger to boarding school unlike Steve.

"Daddy and I have made all the arrangements, we'll be there, I promise." Peggy couldn't wait to hug her baby and have Amy show them around the school, she didn't know how her own mother had managed not to go mad from missing her and Michael when they were away at school.

"I can't wait to see you and meet all your friends."

Peggy chuckled and sat up, stretching a little.

"Well, come on then, if we lay here much longer, we'll fall asleep." Peggy said, taking Steve’s hand, a quick bath, and then back to bed, that sounded like just what the doctor ordered.

"I know you adore me," Peggy began drawing hearts on his sternum with her finger.

"I see it every time you so much as look at me, when you make me food without me asking, when you play with my hair... the feeling is very much mutual, Darling." Peggy shifted and caught a glimpse of the alarm clock on the bedside table, it was nearly midnight.

"It's late. We should go to bed."

Jay across the dinner table from his mother. His father was at his side, eating while reading the paper. "Mommy, can I do a report on you for school?" Jay asked. "It's Special Persons' Day on Friday and I think your the most awesome and cool person." Steve smiled thinking it was adorable how much Jay adored his mother. He always saw her in the best light and she could do no wrong in his eyes. Steve figured it was true that old saying, like father like son. @captainrogers-thepatriot

Peggy looked up when her son spoke, she always tried to give her children her full attention when they asked her questions. But still she was surprised by Jay's request.

"A report about me?" Peggy knew her value but she was still amazed just how much her son looked up to her and adored her.

She noticed Steve's secretive little smile, God she loved that sap, he was the reason she had this amazing little boy as her son and two daughters she loved more than anything.

"Of course you can, Darling."

Peggy practically melted in Steve's arms, she had never loved another man the way she loved him, so to hear him say he wouldn't change a second of their life made her incredibly happy.

"You feel that?" Peggy asked pressing his hand to the swell of her pregnant belly, where their baby was currently kicking and moving around.

"That's our little miracle, Steve. They started moving around like that when you started talking... I think they like the sound of their daddy's voice."

"Hm. Quite right too," Peggy smirked, reaching for her husband's free hand. They could come home and pick things up later, after they're romantic dinner, they had time now.

"Come on, Darling. Let's go hail a cab."

"Darling, come dance with me."

"Of course, my love." Steve answered.

He then stood up and put out his hand to her. It was their song playing on the radio. The one they danced to when he had come home.

When the haze of twilight sleep had finally faded from Peggy's mind, the first thing she noticed was the dull ache, opening her eyes she couldn't remember why she was in a hospital and turned to look around her.

The moment her eyes landed on Steve, it all came back. In Steve's arms was a small bundle of cream colored wool, and it was the most beautiful sight Peggy had ever seen.

They'd had a baby.

"Darling, can I see them, please?"

Peggy smiled as she scooped her Godson up in her arms and pressed kisses to his face.

"Hello, my darling." Peggy said with a loving smile, Tony was such a special little boy, and Peggy loved him just as much as any child she and Steve may have had.

"How are you today?"

"I didn't want to jinx things." Peggy said leaning her head on his shoulder as she stared at their baby.

Peggy had never considered herself particularly maternal in nature, but their baby girl was honestly the most beautiful thing Peggy had ever seen. A little angel with the prettiest eyes and dark lashes and curls.

"Are there any names you particularly like?"

"They're so tiny... and perfect. I can hardly believe they're ours." (I needed Steggy with a new baby, sue me.)

Steve smiles, sitting on the edge of the bed, one arm around his wife, the other helping the cradle the newborn baby in her arms. "You know, we never picked out a name."

Peggy stole a kiss, she loved him so much, and even the painful parts of their life together she wouldn't change, because it made them who they were.

Taking Wanda's hand in hers, Peggy tried to get the redhead to focus on her.

"Wanda, I need you to breathe, alright? You are going to be alright but you need to take some deep breaths and calm yourself."
