💚 Ao3 Is here for all parts 💚 (now featuring mediocre mouseover translations, only available on a computer)
Where we last left off... Tim pulls a fast one on Batman for their mutual benefit. Everybody giggles. Danny goggles.
Trigger warnings for this story: body horror | gore | post-dissection fic | dehumanization (probably) | my nonexistent attempts at following DC canon. On with the show.
💚👻👽👻💚
(Additional TW: I think this counts as a panic attack ngl)
On the one hand. The room Danny’s in has a killer view of the earth from the moon.
The wall is basically just one big window. Danny is also apparently permitted to mash his face into the glass and ogle the Earth from Space for as long as he wants until the stinky dad, whoever he is, finally emerges from the depths of the building.
Diana’s the only one beside him today. She looks nice—nicer than usual, in her armor and bright clothing rather than soft scrubs and hair net. She can push his chair without getting tired—she could probably fly and carry him too, if she had to, so. Danny’s maybe counting on her liking him if this stinky dad tries to be mean.
So. Diana (nice lady) and Danny (half-dead ghost boy) are quietly seated in a dim, peaceful board room, absorbing the early morning (?) space radiation when the door hisses open across the room.
In the doorway is a long, dark, shadow of a man.
…And the green guy!!
Okay, if the stinky dad man brought a friend to this meeting the same way Diana’s meant to supervise him, Danny feels like he’s been lawyered up for the sake of some kind of court trial. This is not fair. Danny wasn’t able to review his case with his legal representation before this.
Well. Danny fumes. Whatever. His lawyer is Diana, the most powerful living being he’s seen ever in his life, and she can totally kick the green guy’s ass. Hell, Danny could probably kick the green guy’s ass.
...You know. If he wasn’t. Sick.
The stinky dad guy looks a lot like the blob his kid drew him as. That’s kind of neat—his suit is all black with little to no variation, which sort of just washes out the colors Danny might have been able to see if his eyes were still good. He’s very quiet, which is nice, and he’s very not-trying-to-read-Danny’s-mind, which is even better.
The two sit. Danny’s already in a wheelchair, so he just lets Diana wheel him to the table. The lady sits beside him in the spinny office chair.
Hello, the green guy opens with, already toying with the edges of Danny’s aura.
Danny sends back an abundance of ass-kicking emotions.
…Alright then, the green man capitulates, the barest hint of bemusement quickly stifled.
Good. Danny is mean. He’s awake enough to be mad about other people touching his aura from any end of his personal bubble.
But then the green guy…says stuff to the dad guy? And it’s very? Quiet?
Explanations, the green guy says. The image of a sign language translator at a baseball game floats over to him, and—
…Oh. He’s translating. For Danny.
That’s…nice? Nicer than Danny expected, honestly? Most of the time, people are perfectly happy to misinterpret him. It was kind of the way of the world at this point. Getting blamed for stuff, getting accused of stuff…
Man. If they turn out to be indoctrinating him for secret war purposes, at least they’re going all in. Danny might actually. You know. Like it here. A little.
He squirms in his chair, and tries not to look at anyone in particular. Diana—the lady who’s been nice to him—makes as if to straighten his hair for him, and remembers at the last second that he doesn’t like to be touched.
And sure. Danny doesn’t want to be touched. By bad guys.
…But Diana’s been really nice to him, so. Maybe. He scratches at the back of his neck, and ducks his head down—and remembers to use his words. “Yes,” he consents verbally. He can’t make eye contact. But he can…let her. Brush his hair back. A little.
Diana asks something long and complicated—and the green guy presses an image of Wonder Woman asking permission, being kind, being gentle—up against the edges of Danny’s awareness.
Danny nods at the floor instead of at the lady. It’s fine. She’s fine. It’s fine.
And her fingers carefully brush through the front end of his fringe, and Danny. Danny is so normal about it. He doesn’t even cry or anything. Not even in front of his friend’s stinky dad.
And she doesn’t do it like Mom did it. And she doesn’t ruffle his hair like Dad did.
But it’s. Nice. And she doesn’t pull.
…And she doesn’t hit.
Danny eventually leans back into his wheelchair. It’s a little bit embarrassing to be halfway in and halfway out, but. Whatever. The scary-looking-dad with the earsies on his helmet has his own teenager. He should understand what it feels like to get emotionally weird with your teen in a public place. If he doesn’t, well...he wouldn’t be a great dad, then, and his opinion would suck anyway.
Based on what Danny knows about the masked kid, Danny isn’t sure the guy would tolerate a bad dad. The teen seems kinda unhinged.
The man says something, and the green guy presses a number of translated feelings against Danny’s awareness: Greetings. Questions about Danny’s wellbeing. Curiosity, but not demanding.
“…Hello,” Danny says back, and. Waves.
The man waves back. He’s got little claws on his gloves.
…Like a cat? Is it to go with his ears? Danny wonders about the possibilities of the guy being cat themed. It’s possible, presumably.
So…they want to know how Danny’s doing? Danny shrugs, and he glances at Diana, since, you know, she could probably fill them in? She does speak their language. And she’s been here the whole time.
The lady leans in close to him, black hair falling out from behind her ear. “What do you want to say?” she whispers into her ear, hand covering her mouth from their watchers.
Uh. It’s up to…Danny?? Somehow??
Danny winces. “…Good?” he tries, unsure if the word he uses means okay or fine or well. “…Not…hungry?”
“Very good,” Diana agrees, a little louder. She looks proud. Being not hungry must mean a lot to her, then. It means a lot to Danny too—he can remember the sensation of his stomach rubbing against itself, friction pulling raw at his insides as acid ate at him.
It was. Bad.
It was bad.
Danny’s glad he’s not there anymore. Anyway, there’s a guy in the room who reads minds, and Danny doesn’t really want to share that memory with anyone ever; especially someone who could turn it back on him.
The stinky dad says something else, but he uses words too thick and long for Danny to understand. The green guy translates, pure conceptual recall brushing against Danny’s outer aura—Needs? Wants?
…Danny frowns.
Danny looks at Diana, who looks back at him. Wants, needs…? What?
“Do you need aniþing?” Diana whispers to him, which. You know. Mostly makes sense.
Does Danny…need anything? He has medical care, he has food, he has water, he has toys and brain teasers, even…he has people to hang out with, he has people who stretch his legs with him so that he can go back to normal…heck, he doesn’t even have to clean his own waste bag. There’s people who do that for him.
Like. What more could Danny ask for?
Danny shrugs. He just wants to heal up and run away. Maybe…maybe, if Diana is real and not just pretending to like him to keep an eye on him, she’d let him visit her later or something. Danny would do what Dani doe—did. What Dani…did. And he’d just go a bunch of places and come back when he wants to.
But. No. There’s nothing he really needs right now.
The pointy-eared guy and the green guy share a look and a couple quiet words. Danny flares his annoyance into the silence, but all he gets is a silent Apology/Apology, which isn’t answers.
Ugh. Danny leans over the arm of his wheelchair. This is kind of super boring; it’s more boring than it is frustrating, even.
The stinky dad guy says something else, and Danny feels the push and pull of something double ended tugging on the outer edge of his aura. Additional/information, giving/take?
Danny really wishes he’d brought a fidget toy or something. His nerves are ramping up but all he can do is contort his fingers together, feeling the strain in and the joints click as he pushes them together and twists them apart. They want…to ask him questions? No, they’re already asking him questions. They want Danny to…give them questions??
…Danny doesn’t really want to. Still, he probably…should.
“The…space station,” he says, using the wrong word for their big space building but not knowing the better one; “Is this…where…why is it?”
The black-caped dad grumbles something vaguely approving. A tablet pops out of the table—spooky—and the guy starts drawing on it, explaining all the way. The green guy simplifies more of the verbally complicated concepts for Danny as they go.
Anyway. So they’re in space because it’s their…job? Danny thinks? They do…fighting stuff. Which Danny knew. Because he’d seen them on the news.
But it looks like they do a lot of things—they clean up after storms, and chase regular bad guys and super-bad-guys instead of just big ones. And they stop bad aliens from hurting people on Earth.
The green guy shifts from a green-looking, pointy-headed, red-eyed form to a warm, brown, human skin tone. And even. Like. Human clothing.
Danny stares.
…And the guy immediately takes back his natural form, his body physically shifting and morphing, which, fair, but holy crap. He’s living, on Earth. He passes as normal, on Earth. No one snitches on him. No one’s selling him to the government for parts. No one’s trapping him in a cage and not feeding him.
This guy works here, and everyone lets him.
Danny shifts in his chair. He…he wants that. He wants that. He wants to pass as human and not have to worry about…about anyone getting rid of him. He wants to go back to school. He wants to hide, and never ever not ever be found by anyone or anything when he does.
“I want that,” Danny says. There’s no inflection. He feels dead. He is dead, but usually he doesn’t feel it. “What do I do for…that.”
Help/Searching/Finding? the green—alien—questions, but there’s nothing for Danny to find. He knows exactly where everyone he loves is—and unless they’re already fully formed in the ghost zone…
…Well. Danny has forever to wait and see if he’ll see his friends and sister again. Maybe he’ll find them again one day, in a world purely green and glowing.
He shakes his head.
The next question comes…softer. Gentler. The mental push feels more like a breeze than a gale. Friends…Home/family?
The question comes tinged with all sorts of sensations that Danny’s suppressed—warmth, security, happiness, oxytocin, fondness, pride and being the source thereof, warmth and love, love, love—
Danny’s sweating. He can’t stop. His hands are shaking faster than usual—he kicks the brakes off his chair with the heels of his palms, and jerks the wheels back, pulling away from the desk—
He’s halfway across the room before he hears the noise. It’s just. Noise. It’s Diana, carefully shushing the loud heartbeat churning in his ears, hands on his hand, trying not to cage him but trying to keep skin on skin contact. Her hand is on the back of his hand, and on his shoulder.
“It’s okay,” Diana whispers. Danny’s shaking. His whole body is shaking. “Shhh, sh sh sh. It’s alright, it’s okay.”
It’s not it’s not it’snoit’snotit’sNOT. His sister is dead. His friends are dead. His parents sold his captors the equipment to catch him and they didn’t care if he got hurt doing it and now they’re DEAD. They tore open his hometown down the middle just to catch him, they stole him—they took his dead parent’s things as tools to hurt him—they HURT HIM and there isn’t—he can’t—he can’t—
Something is holding him down, and Danny thrashes. He has arms, but they’re injured—he has legs but he needs a tail and he—and—
He cries into Diana’s arms, sobbing and wailing. It’s a miracle that the building stays together. She holds him tighter, and he cries even harder into her soft under-layers.
He wants to run away. He needs to run away. Someone is holding him, and he can’t even flicker through her the way he wants to; his core is already too strained just from talking.
Danny’s sick. He’s dying. He’s—
“Take a breath,” Diana whispers, calm and sure. She models it for him. Danny gasps in air. “Good. Lete it out slow. As bobbels in a straw.”
He tries to copy her he does and she’ll be so angry if he can’t do it right on the first try but she lets him try, over and over again, until Danny’s able to stop hiccupping and leaking tears and ectoplasm all over her and realize that she’s holding him like a baby. Like. Actually cradling him against his body armor.
…You know what. He’s too tired to even be embarrassed. Screw that. Danny leans all the way over her and goes completely limp. Someone else can deal with his him for a little bit.
She does. Diana just…holds him.
It’s nice. Mom and Dad used to do that for him, when Danny was still…more human, he supposed. More than he is right now.
Something else touches his hand. Danny looks blearily downwards.
The teenager’s dad gets to his knees and takes Danny’s hand—and he doesn’t need the translation to understand.
“I’m sorry,” the man says, over and over again. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
Danny blinks sleepily. What does his friend’s stinky dad have to be sorry for? He didn’t even do anything to Danny in the first place.
Danny won’t remember, afterwards, being wheeled back to his room for a nap. They must have wheeled him back, though, because the alternative is that Diana tucked him into bed like a baby, and that’s just kind of embarrassing to even think about for too long.
#Diana: I have been allowed to touch him. Ergo I can pick him up now. Paranormal Roomate
Cw: hurt/confort (none of the things my s/I says actually happened)
Summary: Jerico finds out shes sharing her house with someone unsual.
Only mutuals allowed to rb.

Okay this was weird.
Jerico swears she had put that glass somewhere else, but whatever. Maybe she just imagined it.
Calmly painting away, she almost doesnt notice the sounds of heavy stepping. She stops, and tries to see if they come from outside. But then theres only silence.
"Weird" she thinks, to then shrug, and Keep painting.
Unbeknownst to her there was something going on, a local ghost decided it was a good idea to mess with her, scaring her with loud noises or weird sounds, footsteps.
Jeri at one point got used to it, to the point of talking directly to the ghost itself.
--I need to study, Keep it quiet!-- she said to the air, to then Open up her note books.
And what do you know, the ghost actually complied.
This ghost didnt seem to interact with her besides scaring the daylights out of her or eating food out of her fridge. But today was the exception.
Jerico closed the door of her house a bit too hard, locking it and leaving the keys on its usuall spot.
She threw her bag and jacket on the Office hair and plummeted in the bed. Letting out a loud sigh.
She curled up under the blankets, tears soon to follow as she hugs herself, and sobbs heavily.
She felt the weight of two muscly arms wrap around her waist behind her, something solid against her back. Shes too busy crying her eyes out that she doesnt freak out, only lean in the touch.
A soft and faint aquamarine glow catches her attention, she turns her head and is met with a heavily muscular Man, white flowing hair in a ponytail, red eyes and light Teal skin, wearing a black turtleneck and leather pants with combat boots.
The ghost clears his throat, after some seconds of silence he asks, almost in defeat-- What happened?
Jeri looks up at him, puffy eyes and red cheeks from crying, she just says--Bad day..
He sighs and pushes her head against his chest, body curling against her own in almost a protective manner.
--wanna talk 'bout it?-- The ghost said.
--...I dont know where to start...-- she made a pause, tanking a deep broken breath--remember that test I was studying for? I failed it, then there was so Many loud noises, ive heard them all day, someone poked fun at my insecurities....--she sniffed, the ghost Man looking down at her.
He says nothing and only hugs her tighter, anger in his chest directed at the person who dared make her feel bad.
--Easy...ive...ive got you now..-- he whispered against her hair, feeling her relax, still quiet.
They spent twenty minutes like that, in absolute silence.
--So youre the ghost that has been terrorizing me for months huh?-- Jeri asked, a faint tone of joking present.
--Hey..it never gets old-- he replied with a smirk, sharp fangs poking through his lips.
--Youre quite good looking-- jerico said off handedly-- I imagined you being like...a sheet ghost?
His flaming hair puffs up, cheeks turning a Darker shade of Teal-- Sheet ghost? Really?!
--hey! I dont know how ghosts look like!-- Jerico deffended herself, still joking.
He snorted-- well, cant blame you, I know for a fact that you dont like scary movies...you dont have any idea how ghosts look like
--that fact being that youve been living rent free in my house?
--i -- you-- he sighed-- youre the only one that lets me stay...
--Yeah I know..this house feels empty when im the only one living here...-- Jerico agreed.
--Uh..thanks for lettin' me stay..-- He looked away, awkwardly-- Figured you could use my name...Im Dan..
--Nice to meet you, Dan, im jerico
He chuckled thinking "dork"-- you better now?
--Yeah, thank you
--Dont mention it, hey...--his tone became softer-- ill make you some tea, you just..stay here..
--never thought the ghost who liked to scare the living shit out of me would take care of me like that
--You grew on me, youre too sweet-- Dan answered-- 'sides, if youre sad I cant scare you
--Haha, I like you too, dan-- jeri added sarcastically
He let out a happy "hmmpht" and flew through the wall to the kitchen.
Of course he knew how she liked her tea..., hes been living with her for months.
Though, a part of him was happy that he finally spoke to her, he didnt thought that he would get a crush on her when he first started scaring her. But she was very sweet, and a good person, and he couldnt help himself.
Jerico meanwhile had time to process what just happened. She grew fond of this ghost living with her, but now she had the smallest crush on him. I mean. He was very handsome.
Since then, Dan and Jeri became best Friends, and roomates, sort of.
Turns out, the beefy ghost was good at cuddling, and it didnt take long before Dan realized she had a crush on him. So, one night, they cuddled up in the sofá with some blankets and drinks, watching a movie, she was sitting on his lap, Back to his chest, both wrapped in a big blanket.
--Hey...-- he said, a bit scared-- I like you...
--Like you as in...*like* you like you? Romantically?
He looked away-- Uh- yeah..
Jeri made a pause as if she was processing what she just heard-- well..thats good..because I like you too..
He smiled and pressed a kiss to her temple, to then move to her lips and kiss her with all his strenght, which was a lot..
Jerico kissed back, wrapping her arms around his neck.
--I love you-- he spat out without thinking, love overwhelming Him.
--I love you too...-- She replied leaning in for another kiss. The movie becoming more of a background noise now...

💚 Ao3 Is here for all parts 💚 (now featuring mediocre mouseover translations, only available on a computer)
Where we last left off... Danny can't sleep alone! Wonder Woman gets angry! Batman gets yoinked like a sad cat! Informational breakthroughs are made!
Trigger warnings for this story: body horror | gore | post-dissection fic | dehumanization (probably) | my nonexistent attempts at following DC canon. On with the show.
💚👻👽👻💚
Danny is in a different medical room than usual.
There are five white boards.
His hands are shaking.
Danny doesn’t want to talk about what happened to him, but this isn’t talking. It’s just Danny, a bunch of white boards, Diana, a blonde doctor woman he doesn’t know, and that one kid’s stinky cat dad.
Danny draws.
He draws The Box. He doesn’t know how big it was in reality, but he remembers it being cramped, and dark, and hungry. He was always hungry. He draws a granola bar and uses a red marker to strike through it a half-dozen times to really emphasize how much nothing there was to work with.
It feels bad to put a marker-drawn Danny in the box.
Marker-Danny looks scared. He looks sad.
Danny hands that board to the blonde doctor without looking at it.
Danny draws a bunch of gloved hands with scalpels and forceps and beakers and tubes, but to be honest, he was so out of his mind by that point he doesn’t actually remember a lot of it. He remembers being tied down, and he remembers scream—
...But he mostly remembers the visuals of hands in a bright spectator spotlight above, a dozen gleaming instruments poking inside him to see what of him was ecto-based and what wasn’t.
They always acted like Danny didn’t know what he was made of. Danny’s wondered if it was true ever since, and sometimes the thought pulses in his skin like a bad bruise.
There’s almost no detail in that drawing. It's only hands. It's only tools. Danny hands the board off without looking, again.
Danny draws Operative O, with his stupid chin and his stupid suit and his stupid earpiece and his stupid gun. He tries to get all the details from memory, but honestly, who cares if the guy’s lapels look right or whatever. He wipes the G I W initials off the man’s breast pocket before anyone can see the detail, and keeps his little black boots and sunglasses, and…yeah. Pretty much all of their stupid agents look like that.
He adds on a number of skulls and angry faces to that drawing before handing the board over.
He draws the Fenton Ghost Assault Vehicle as he mostly remembers it—and Danny remembers turning on at least some of the equipment as he tried to flee the building, leaving the hard steel shell of the GAV as scuffed and miserable as he’d found it abandoned in that garage but bristling with weapons. His parents are—they’d been so good at cramming weapons into every possible nook and cranny. Whatever engineers the GIW had been able to hire to dismantle it had never had a chance. The thing had been locked onto Fenton DNA, and Fenton DNA alone.
Danny isn’t sure where the GAV is now, but he remembers turning the rockets on. Maybe he’d…maybe he’d landed on the moon…in the Fentonmobile?
He still isn’t super clear on how he’d gotten here, or what of the truck’s defenses he’d gotten up and running on his way out.
But he remembers a clear line of sight down the barrel of Dad’s newest—and last—blaster he’d ever made, the hands on it a stranger's.
Danny remembers his flesh and ecto sizzling as his face bubbled off.
…Danny remembers his first driving lessons in the GAV with Mom in the passenger seat, encouraging him to brake carefully at stop signs if there were police at the corner. They went out for burgers after each driving session, since she knew it would make him happy to have something different for dinner. Danny remembers all the road trips they’d gone on to go visit Aunt Alicia, half-camping in the woods on her property while Dad taught Jazz and Danny how to fish.
He hands off the whiteboard, but he already knows what he wants to use the last one for.
Mom and Dad and Jazz stand around the intact GAV and smile, frozen in a dry-erase marker wave to a Danny that isn’t there.
Danny’s here now. In a chair. In space.
…With strangers.
When Danny doesn’t immediately offer the board to the blonde doctor like she expects, she only takes a picture of it for further discussion.
Danny is very, very careful not to smudge any of his family's faces or their suits or Jazz's dark sweater as Diana wheels him back to his cot in the medical wing.
He misses them.
He doesn’t know if they’re capable of missing him, wherever they are, but he misses them.

When Im With You
Cw: angst. Hurt and comfort. Age gap (s/I is in senior year, and 18, for the purposes of this fic Dan is in his early twenties)
-> Only Mutuals allowed to reblog.
->Song: When Im With You By Mystery.Skulls.
Summary: after redeeming himself, Dan meets the love of his life for a second time. Hoping this time he Will do right by her.
Taglist: @tex-treasures @malewifehenrycooldown @80sboyfriends @mercuryships
he never felt so out of place...
Dan waited out of Danny's school, headphones in, arms crossed leaning on a wall.
"You got me swimmin' 'round my head
Yeah
Things that I wish I never said
Yeah
I just want you
Wish you could want me back
Wish you would take me back
Alright
Alright "
The bell rang, dismissing the students, and soon enough a sea of teens busted through the Doors.
--Ah, there you are-- Danny said-- Hey, you look down, you good?
Dan shrugged-- Yeah just--
He stops dead in his tracks. No..., that wasnt her... was she?.
--dude!-- Danny shouted-- what are you looking a-- he Turned to where he was looking.
A woman, probably in her senior year..., brown hair, green eyes, wearing a yellow turtleneck sweater and Jean overalls, white shoes.
--Jerico...?-- dan muttered.
--Yeah...thats her name, was there a jerico in your dimention?
The older Man chuckled-- Yeah...there was one, she...she was my girlfriend
Danny made a double take-- what?!-- he shouted.
--Oh, sorry, did I say girlfriend? I meant wife, we were married..!
The teen looked at him, cheeks Burning red as they Walked back home-- Please tell me you didnt have kids..
Dan snorted-- no...no we didnt..she didnt want kids..
--And you?
--Me neither, but we did talk about adopting..-- Dan trailed off.
--you dont seem to speak about your jerico with fondness, did something happend to her?
The older Man seemed to tense a little bit, his voice going dry, as if he was remembering something unpleseant-- Yeah...she uh, well...I sent her away, I didnt want to hurt her...
Danny patted his back-- and you guys never got togheter?
--No...not really...
--Man, im sorry...
Dan looked away and Walked in silence.
"Everytime I see you I try to hold tight
Oh woah
You know your lovin' keeps me up at night
Oh woah
I know I fucked this up
I'm gonna make it right"
Once home, dan locked himself into his room, sitting on his bed. The song he was listening to was one of jericos favorites, made by one of her favorite bands.
Melancholy Nestled itself on his heart, Hopig he could make right by her, to be back with her.
Unbeknownst to him, Danny already had a plan in mind.
The Next day, when Dan went to pick him up, he found a surprise waiting for him
--Jerico, this is my brother, Dan, he was in college
--Oh?, hello, im Jerico-- She extended her hand towards him.
Dan panicked inside, quickly shaking her hand and smiling-- uhm..hi..nice to meet you...
--Nice to meet you too--Jeri answered.
--We are hanging out on the weekend with the rest of the Group, you could come with-- Danny proposed.
The olde Man nodded, a little bit too enthusiastic-- Uh sure, where you guys going?
--to the mall!-- Jerico replied, with a gleam in her eyes.
Dan knew the face she was doing very well, she was fidgeting with her necklace, barely making eye contact. Thats the same face she made when she was flustered.
-- that...that sounds great, I can drive you guys there...-- Dan commented.
--Yeah, we could go pick up the rest and go there, you'd be like a taxi!-- Danny Joked.
Jeri giggled, playfully slapping his arm-- Danny!
The older Man smiled wider, she was just like his Jerico. That shy smile, the way her shoulders raised as she held back laughter.
Jeri checked her phone-- Ive got to go, but ill see you tomorrow, yeah? Oh and Danny give your brother my number so he can text me when hes close to my home, do you know the Adress.
"I do" dan thought.
--Yeah I do-- Danny answered even though he forgot where she lived
--Okay, good, well, see you tomorrow then!, bye Danny, bye dan!-- she kissed them both on the cheek,(more like pressing her cheek against theirs and making a kissing sound) and went on her way.
Dan seems stunned, his cheeks grew red, that smile now seemed goofy and he was a bit giddy.
--She always seems on a timer on fridays..I dont know why-- Danny said as they Walked back home.
--'Cause she has her psicologist session-- Dan replied-- plus, today she has to shower, she showers a day inbetween
--You were really married to her huh?
--Yeah, you dont Belive me?
--Nono-- the teen said-- I just dont know how someone like, well, us, ended up with someone like her!
Dan chuckled-- kid, theres so much you dont know about her-- he ruffled the boys hair.
--shes a very good friend, yknow?, always looking out for people, taking care of others, I see why you married her
--Marrying her was the best decision Ive ever made-- Dan agreed-- thank you for inviting me over, by the way
--hey Man.. -- Danny said-- I say you have a good chance with her
The older Man looked at him In surprise-- You really think so?
-- haha, yeah! If I didnt know any better she thinks youre cute, trust me, I showed her a picture of you, in human form, as you are right now, and she said "oh, hes very cute, I know hes your brother...sorry...!"
Dans cheeks turn now bright red as he looks away-- well...Thats...thats good
Once they arrived home, he started to choose what he would wear tomorrow, he knew he had to have that edgy vibe to him, he still remembered what cologne she liked when he used it, leather pants and jacket, boots and a black turtleneck .
He needed to make a second good first impression after all, and maybe he could make up for the cringy mistakes he made when he was younger.
When the Next day came he was absolutely freaking the fuck out.
--Okay, just take a deep breath, its going to be okay-- Danny said patting his back, looking at jeris front door, ill go knock, you stay here and calm down-- he got out of the car and knocked softly on the door.
Dan was looking at the door as it opened, his breath swooshes out of his chest, jerico smiled at Danny, and he greeted her as if ignoring that she looked beautiful with those black dress pants, sleeveless V-neck sweater, And a white button up with a black turtleneck under it.
God. She looked so beautiful.
Her doc martens clack against the concrete, and as soon as they meet glances, she smiled at him, and he just waved Back, trying to hide how nervous he was.
She got in the backseat and closed the door-- hey dan, good evening
--Good-- ahem. Good evening, Jeri, how are you?
--Im fine, thanks for Driving us..
--Heh...s'no biggie honestly...-- then he Turned to Danny-- whats tucker's Adress again?
Danny said his Friends adress and he started Driving.
--So, how was school?-- Dan asked as if he was asking both of them.
--oh its fine!-- Jerico said-- cant Belive in finishing school! Its a trip
--haha, I bet it is-- the older Man added-- How uh...how have you been holding up..i know theres a lot of stress during senior year...-- he asked, hoping he wasnt being too forward or obvious.
After they picked up the rest of dannys Friends, they went to the mall.
Jeri and Dan fell back on the Group to talk. The more he got to know her the more he realized she was just like his jerico. Maybe he did have a chance with her.
His world stopped as he made her laugh with an off hand comment during the movie, his cheeks running hot as a smile grew on his face, joining in on the quiet laughter.
By the end of the day, both had a great time togheter, he Walked her to the front door, with Danny and his Friends looking at them both in a not so subtle way.
--Hey, i uh, had fun today... I was hoping we could hang out togheter, just the two of us?,if its not too forward...maybe I could take you out on a date?
Jeris cheeks turn Pink-- yeah! Sure!-- she said enthusiastically. Making him relax.
--theres a cute library with a café here...maybe there? Next week? Pick you up at 5?
She nodded-- yeah, sure, of love that...
--Its..its a date then...
--uh-uhm yeah, its a date-- Jerico pressed a kiss to his cheek-- thanks for Driving us...and walking me here, good night,Dan, and please tell Danny to stop staring...
Dan Turned around to meet the three teens staring, glaring daggers at them making the three teens freak out and hide.
Jerico giggled and closed the door.
The date went great, and the one after that, and the one after.
It was safe to say that both fell for eachother, Dan was happy he could be with her once again.
One day he finally asked her to be his girlfriend, both were sitting on the roof of her house, hanging out with some music.
"You got me swimmin' 'round my head
Yeah
Things that I wish I never said
Yeah
I just want you
Wish you could want me back
Wish you would take me back
Alright
Alright
Everytime I see you I try to hold tight
Oh woah
You know your lovin' keeps me up at night
Oh woah
I know I fucked this up
I'm gonna make it right
'Cause when I'm with you..."
--Jerico, I gotta ask you something...-- Dan said nervously-- I...well...I Like you romantically, and well..I wanted to ask...if I could be your...boyfriend?
Jeri Turned to him with a soft smile-- yeah...you can-- she scooted closer to him and pressed her head against his chest, his embrace was tight, one hand softly raising her chin up so she would make eye contact with him-- can I?
She nodded and he leaned in and kissed her, softly, tenderly, as if she was made of glass.
His one thought was "im not losing you again...".
As happy as they were, both had secrets that the other needed to know.
Jerico confessing she was kind of like Danny, was no surprise to Dan, he knew she was half of a cosmic entity, just like Danny was half ghost. And Dan let her know he was also half ghost, which made the ambient completly decompress And become peaceful.
But what made him nervous was telling her about well...the other her.
He told her this some months after they got togheter, luckily she was okay with it, and hugged him tightly, her embrace comforting as ever. Her only answer was-- I hope I will be able to make you just as happy...
He only replied-- you already do
She let out a chuckle,sniffing-- thats...very sweet..
Needless to say, Dan has never felt happier...
