One For the Money

If you know me, you will know that, after spending my formative Magic years learning Good Limited Drafting Practices from the likes of Limited Resources and various professional magic players, I have attained a level of draft proficiency that has allowed me to take all those sensible midrange-y drafting strategies they teach you and completely throw them out of the window, in favor of building terribly janky aggro decks that still somehow work sometimes. Thus, while more sensible draft players will generally side-eye cheaper, low rarity, low impact cards, I tend to pay extra attention to them, as they are absolutely vital to making an aggressive deck function in limited. Such cards frequently go unappreciated in sets and thus this week I'd like to put a spotlight on them.

Design a common or uncommon card with mana value one

Your focus this week will be on potential impact on limited, though constructed viability will also be noticed and appreciated. Lower rarity cards such as these tend to have not too terribly much going on so I expect attempting to balance complexity and impact and uniqueness will be your primary challenges this week. Also, if your card is intended to fit into something other than an aggressive shell, please do tell me, because I will otherwise evaluate submissions based on how well they'd perform in aggro for hopefully obvious reasons.
