I tried to keep them as gender neutral as I could, but I also kinda failed at the same time. 😅 These were your suggestions from this post here. I was going to add a couple more but honestly I figured I’d keep it simple.

(Also I never promised I was good at drawing anthros, I just decided to start drawing them one day and just wait to see what happened)

Anyways I’ll have the results posted in a week and have a proper design put together hopefully after. I’ve been having a hard time emotionally as of the last few days, like showing up to work and bursting into tears the moment someone tried to say hello. So if I’m not present for the next little while, I hope you’ll forgive me.

He held the turtle duck out over the little pond as he sat up straighter, squaring his shoulders to try again. "Katara, I think I'm in love with you and I'm terrified."

"I'm no turtle duck, so not an expert on these things, but I don't think you should be terrified," said a familiar, feminine voice behind him.

Zuko started, the sudden movement jostling the turtle duck, which quacked loudly in displeasure before it dove off his hands and into the pond.

Zuko turned slowly toward the ambassador whom he had accidentally fallen in love with, who was a vision in blue silk, and who had apparently been behind him for some time. Zuko wondered how long it would take for him to drown in the turtle duck pond if he jumped in now. He opened his mouth to say something to her, perhaps a request to drown him herself, but she beat him to it.

"I'm not terrified. Nervous of course. But not terrified," she said, smiling softly down at him. "So you shouldn't be either." And she reached for his hand.

You had been begging Raph for months for him to let you join them at “fighting crime.”

Obviously, he was reluctant. You were small, less spiky, and way more squishy than the rest of them. Raph was so sure that if he hugged you the wrong way, you would pop.

So when his brothers and him decided to go on an intel mission, he decided to finally allow you to tag along. It’d be easy to watch over you that way.

No fighting. No dangerous situations. Just talking to people. You’d be fine.

Except it was at Big Mama’s hotel, below ground, meaning it was Yokai. Raph had no problems with Yokai once so ever. However, they seemed to have a thing for… you.

They surrounded you, patted your skin, twisted your hair, peered at your eyelashes. It drove him insane.

He was so scared one of them were going to accidentally knock you over or poke you in the eye or tug your hair too hard or—

His eyes nearly bugged out of his head when an owl wrapped an arm around your waist and whispered something into your ear.

He felt the itch to go over there and save you, but when he glanced at Leo, he looked particularly relieved to see what Raph had been so angry looking at.

He spoke with a sing song tone, clearly joyful over this.

The glass in Raph’s hand shattered.

“Ohhh….” Leo droned as heads snapped towards the two of them.

“Hey… are those the turtles on the Wanted Posters Big Mama put everywhere?”

As the Yokai take time to look back and forth between the two and their respective posters.

“Ugh… Raph!” Leo whined as he opened a portal.

The two landed on their beaten up couch. A second and third portal had brought you and Donnie and Mikey back.

“What happened?” Mikey whined before pausing at the way Raph lunged towards you.

“Are you okay?” He picked you up, holding you up by your arms like some kitten. “I shouldn’t have let them too close to you like that… They wouldn’t stop touching you!”

You took in a deep breath as you stepped into the Lair, smiling tightly as Mikey pulled you in for his usual sunshine hug.

"Hey there, 'Angelo." you said, patting him on the head, as you walked away to find Raph.

You knocked lightly on the wall next to his curtain before pulling aside the cloth to enter his room.

"Hey, Red." You said, kissing him on the cheek.

"Hey, sweetcheeks." he turned to face you fully, his brows furrowing in concern as he looked at your face, "What's wrong? You look upset."

You shook your head, smiling, "I'm fine." you said, trying to drop the subject.

Raph took your face in his hands, "No you aren't, I can tell. So talk to me, babe."

You pulled away with a groan, "I'm fine, Raph, can we just drop it?"

Raph huffed, grabbing your hand gently as you turned away from him, "No, not until I know what's bothering you!"

You closed your eyes tightly, looking away from Raph as your fathers words from earlier today echoed in your head, "Grow up! You have nothing to be sad about, there are people who have it worse, so get over yourself!"

"Raph." You growled, "Drop. It."

Raph sighed, frustrated, "Why won't you just tell me-?"

"YOU WANNA KNOW WHY?" You shouted, turning to face him with tears in your eyes, "BECAUSE I'M SCARED, RAPH! I'M SCARED THAT IF I TELL YOU WHATS WRONG, YOU'LL JUST TELL ME TO GET OVER MYSELF LIKE EVERYONE ELSE I'VE EVER OPENED UP TO! THAT-," your voice cracked and your body shook, "T-that you'll just tell me to grow up."

You sobbed, furiously trying to wipe away those stupid tears. God you hated crying, and infront of Raph? Really?

Why couldn't you just stop? Just STOP!

You were practically rubbing your eyes raw trying to stop the tears before Raph took your hands in his own.

"I would never do that to you." He said softly, "Never in a million years."

You sniffled, your face scrunching, "I-I just wish people, listened to me. My whole life I was told that children are to be seen and not heard, no one ever took my emotions seriously."

You sobbed again, burying your face in Raph's plastron, "I was j-just that overly emotional nobody, until I stopped. I stopped crying, I stopped feeling. I stopped so no one else had to. I don't cry, so my siblings can."

Raph felt his heart shattering as you spoke, he didn't know. He never knew...

"I don't know how to talk about it, Raph. I-I can't. I haven't needed to in so long, I just push it all down and it goes away. It didn't go away this t-time, wHY didn't it go away?"

Raph pulled you close as you cried, he rested his head atop yours, "It doesn't just go away, (Name). It never does. It takes a long time, sometimes you need to talk about it. I'm always here to talk about it if you need to."

"B-but, I don't want to be a burden-"

"Nuh-uh, none of that. look at me, hun." Raph held your face gently, smiling softly at you, "You will never, ever be a burden to me. Ever. Don't you even think that, got it?"

You nodded, leaning into his hands, "Can you hold me? Please?" you begged quietly, face stained with tears.

"Of course, sweetcheeks. Raph's got ya'."

Raph picked you up easily, carrying you over to his bed where he set you down gently. He sat next to you, leaning back against the wall as he pulled you into his lap.

He then pulled a blanket over the two of you, kissing you softly on top of your head as you slowly drifted off from exhaustion.

Since you were sleeping, you weren't aware of his brothers coming to check on you, asking Raph softly if you would be fine.

Raph reassured them that you would be ok, you just needed a little help emotionally.
