The Lovers

▸      WHAT’S    THEIR    HAIR    LIKE ?    naturally it’s thick and frizzy. stella spends a fair amount (read: an OBSESSIVE amount) of time straightening it and using a bunch of different products to keep it looking sleek and shiny as it does. 

▸     DO    THEY    SPEND    A    LOT    OF    TIME    ON    THEIR    HAIR     /    GROOMING ?    yes. an obscene amount of time. not only researching/looking into the best hair care products, but also waking up early to straighten it/having a LONG haircare routine during the nights. 

▸      DOES   YOUR   MUSE   CARE   ABOUT   THEIR   APPEARANCE   /   WHAT    OTHERS    THINK ?    yes. she cares more than she’ll ever admit. while there’s a lot of things she HATES about herself, from personality to the way her brain works, her appearance is something stella has control over. she isn’t insecure about her looks anymore, the way she was in middle school with her frizzy hair, glasses, and gawky frame. she’s grown into herself, and she’s confident about her appearance because she puts so much time and effort into it. but in stella’s mind, her appearance is one of the only good things about her: she’s nothing more than a pretty face.

▸      WHAT    ARE    SOME    OF    YOUR    MUSE’S    BAD    HABITS ?    where to begin. the first is probably insecurity; despite the confident front stella puts up, she sees herself as easily replaceable. pepper in the fact that people walk in and out of her life consistently....girl has abandonment issues galore that translate into feeling threatened. both when it comes to friendships and relationships. she gets jealous and irrational easily, and is very possessive of the people she considers hers. another is her inability to open up and be vulnerable: neither radius nor luna really taught stella how to handle her emotions. so when it comes to emotions, stella bottles them up and deflects with humor. that can make getting to know her difficult. and it also causes her to blow up over small things sometims, since she’s swallowed her emotions and eventually there’s a straw that breaks the camel’s back and the damn breaks. there’s honestly quite a few more lmao. 

▸      HAS    YOUR    MUSE    LOST    ANYONE    CLOSE    TO    THEM ?      HOW    HAS    IT    AFFECTED    THEM ?    not through death, but she lost both of her parents emotionally from a young age. radius and luna had their own issues, and stella often got caught in the middle. as much as she loves them, and as much as she knows they love her, she also knows that they let her down when she needed them. it’s part of why she’s as emotionally closed off; the people who were supposed to care about how she felt...never really did. she’s learned to swallow her own feelings. she also blames herself for the divorce, because if she could’ve been a better kid, if she could have helped them the way she’s helped other fairies find love, if she had worked harder, if she’d just done more...the thoughts go on endless. also, radius and luna both pulling away emotionally left stella feeling like she wasn’t worth sticking around for: the fact she was never really able to keep a solid friendship pre-winx doesn’t help that feeling. 

▸      WHAT    ARE    SOME    FOND    MEMORIES    YOUR    MUSE    HAS ?   the first time the girls had a sleepover is one of her fondest memories. when it comes down to it, so many of her fond memories revolve around her girls && brandon; the first people who really made her feel like she had a family. from movie nights with bloom to star watching with brandon to karaoke nights with musa, tutoring sessions with tecna, dancing with aisha, watching flora bring gorgeous flowers to life, stella treasures each and every memory she’s created with her family. even if they argue from time to time, even if they get annoyed with each other, stella TRUSTS each and every one of the girls with her life.

▸     IS    IT    EASY    FOR    YOUR    MUSE    TO    KILL ?   depends on the circumstance. stella’s moral compass is fairly lax: the only reason she’s in the whole saving the world business is because her girls are and she’s loyal to a fault. we’ve seen more than once that she’s frustrated by the responsibility faragonda gives them time and time again, and honestly? she would let the world burn if she knew her people would be okay. as for getting her own hands bloody by choice rather than passively letting it happen ... stella isn’t necessarily opposed to the idea. if it’s a case of killing someone to save the world, she’ll do it. and if it’s a case of someone who has hurt the people she cares about? well she’s ready to kill to defend her people. 

▸      WHAT’S    IT    LIKE    WHEN    YOUR    MUSE    BREAKS    DOWN ?   like the world’s come to standstill. it feels so goddamn wrong when stella’s finally hit her limit, when her bubbly carefree facade comes tumbling down. it’s silence, stillness, at first. like she hasn’t quite processed what’s happened. distant, very few words, going over and over and over things in her own head. slowly that’ll build to either anger or despair, depending on what brought the breakdown. when it’s anger, stella will storm out and seek alone time. lets her thoughts consume her, finds somewhere to destroy things and physically get that anger out. yelling until her throat’s gone raw and her hands ache. when it’s despair, the tears start slow but grow quicker and heavier, until she can’t breathe and her glass heart is shattering; it hurts to blink, it hurts to breathe, it hurts to exist. after either, the numbness settles in again. a distance, until she can force those emotions back into her little box, fake a smile, crack a joke, and pretend she’s perfectly fine again. 

▸      IS    YOUR    MUSE    CAPABLE    OF    TRUSTING    SOMEONE    WITH    THEIR    LIFE ?    before the winx? no, not in the least. stella has Trust IssuesTM. the girls are the only exception, given she’s put her life in their hands more than once. she’s also more than willing to give her life for any of them, without hesitation.
