have wwx and jc ever considered each other brothers in the novel? i've never gotten that impression (them being brotherly) from them in any of the adaptations except from CQL but everyone tells me i just don't know where to look

No. Not once do they ever refer to the other as a sibling. The only one that explicitly does say Wei Wuxian is her brother is Jiang Yanli. Wei Wuxian, given the way he is constantly called a servant only, does not call either Jiangs his siblings due to that position and how it is weaponized against him. Jiang Yanli is also the only Jiang that says she takes it as an insult for Wei Wuxian to be referred as such during Baifeng Mountain's debacle.
