Listen, the thing you have to know about Orion is that ALTHOUGH he aligns with a male identity / goes by masc pronouns and all that, he's... he's the literal embodiment of a star,

his true form is incomprehensible to mortals; he can go by fem pronouns and just be a floating pair of wings / eyes with no limbs, he could be a fucking cotton-candy unicorn and go by they / them.

Orion can 100% speak; no tragic reasoning behind it, no curse, no nothing. He does this simply because he wants to; literally, just to troll. It's hilarious to see the numerous ways someone will come up with to try and communicate with him when they think he's unable to speak,
