so to me his outer space escapade did happen just without the very unnecessary played-for-laughs bit. he learned a valuable lesson in communication and returned back home after a few weeks stuck on a different planet, and sure hes scarred for life but adding that much depth to his character feels inaccurate to me. i think his biggest takeaway from the entire experience is being able to do the shoujo eyes on command to be a little annoying freak around his friends so i cant explain how happy i was to see the anime epilogue made it canon

hes just so average and silly and nothing beyond that. his family doesnt care to show him kindness (see: in the fanbook when asked what his parents' reaction was to the alien incident he said they just Didnt Say Anything To Him?!?) but i think they're pretty loaded ¥¥¥ so hes inclined to wanting to slack off feeling hes set for life and can afford whatever game or puppy print jacket he wants.

there aren't many popular opinions about him to begin with but i sometimes see him portrayed as too cutesy for my taste. hes a cringefail unnecessarily rude teenager with a short temper and a sailors mouth (at least in the manga) im sure he takes sweet selfies with his dog sometimes but i imagine he still does it in a funny rather than cute way. like the notion is nice but the angle makes it look like hes choking the beast to death and not hugging it by the neck

it started off as somewhat ironic, i thought his design was funny and basically knew him as "dude who strangely resembles teen reigen and has a few funny lines" as im sure most people do, but the more i started noticing him the sincerer the inukawa craze became. what really sold me on him is his and tomes friendship, im a sucker for the 'lesbian and her gay poodle' dynamic and theyre precisely that to me. inukawa is a random cisgay to me just for fun. HE'S JUST SOME GUY! hes my star of mediocrity

Haruto hardly ever slept at all himself, so he was very aware when of the moment Neku started having a nightmare. He regularly checked on the minds of his young wards so he could tell what was going on at any point in time. Neku in particular, since reading angels was a lot harder to do. But he knew when it started, and he wasted no time in setting his work away and leaving his office. Neku's room was a bit away from his own, but he easily made his way through darkened halls and into the space where he was sleeping fitfully under the covers.

Normally, something like a nightmare alone would be no cause to disturb the young man's sleep, but Haruto realized Joshua was a focal point here, and there was nothing quite so damaging as reliving the fall of his universe.

"Neku, darling," Haruto spoke softly as he sat on the bedside and gently shook Neku's shoulder. "Wake up, please. It's alright, I'm here. So please wake up, let me take care of you."

Hanekoma's body didn't move at all when he slept. It completely shut down as if a corpse, so normally it would be very hard to tell he was dreaming at all. But terrible. Awful. Traumatizing it still was. So much so that his body awoke and he made awful sounds as it melded between being awake and being asleep.

A terrible thing for anyone to witness, and yet Hanekoma, having already lost much sleep over this very nightmare, was splayed across the counter like this as Hazuki entered. A short break turned into a nap turned into this wretched sight.

And upon touching Hanekoma's shoulder and waking him, the angel bolted upright with a deep inhale and fell backwards from the stool into the floor. All a very terrifying experience for Hanekoma, as he grappled with the floor and threw his arms up to shield himself from the claws, the eyes of gold. And though the presence beside him certainly wasn't Ancestor's, the idea of angels above him right now was nothing short of a waking nightmare.

"Wh-who-- what-- what the fuck...!?" He gasped, shaking, trying to right himself but only succeeding in propping himself up on his knees.

He tries so hard to do right and impress her, he literally created the Lycans as a way to get praise, but everytime she looks at him she’s reminded that he’s probably the worst thing to come out of her lab and she cannot physically bring herself to recognize his accomplishments

As hard as he might try, and as much as he might love and adore his “mother”, he’s never going to impress her or earn that praise that Heisenberg or Alcina get. Whether he knows that or not isn’t stopping him from trying, though.

He’s painfully lonely. Like, to a point any kind of physical touch would probably put him to tears. But his movies make him feel a little less alone. It’s the main reason he likes RomComs.  He enjoys the feel-goodness of a movie. It makes him feel less alone.

Even if he is just sitting in some dreary room by himself with a wheel of cheese(?). He’s content.

Boy talks to fish. I don’t think they ever talk back to him (because they can’t) but he makes up conversations with them and other wildlife in the reservoir. (He then sometimes eats them but we won’t talk about that)

I’m pretty sure it was an anon that mentioned this a while ago, but when Moreau snores he croaks like a frog. Which is adorable, but incredibly annoying for anyone who has to sleep next to/around him.

The Moreau fight felt very unnecessary and Ethan’s an asshole for causing it. If it was a case of “He cut you off after you tried sneaking away with the flask” I might feel a little different, but Ethan literally grabbed the flask and WAITED to taunt Moreau. Just take the flask and go, my dude, what the fuck are you doing taunting this poor guy? Like I get they took his daughter and Capcom needed all the Lord’s dead for reasons but like… come on. (Donna’s death is also in this boat.)
