“‘COURSE I DON’T MIND.” Inky grinned again, but this time, it was a genuine grin rather than a teasing or sadistic one. A grin full of love. “Hated him at first, ‘cause I was jealous of him. But he became my friend — then somethin’ MORE.” His gaze moved up, remembering it as if it was just yesterday. “Still remember when he kissed me fer the first time… then told me HE LOVED ME.”

The demon let out a soft exhale. “He makes me a better person. PATHETIC, I know, but… I’m in love. And I’m never gonna find another man like him — and I don’t WANNA. He’s mine, all mine.”

“Although…” He smirked slightly, leaning against the wall. “There’s ONE SPECIAL FELLA who I can’t seem ta take my eyes off of…”

“Okay, YER ALLOWED.” Inky didn’t resist this time, leaning into Bendy’s smooches and even allowing himself to grin. “I ain’t never gonna stop ya from givin’ me affection. YER THE EXCEPTION, short stack.” He winked.

“I’M GLAD yer not blind, short stack.” Inky placed a hand under the imp’s chin, tilting his head up and forcing their gazes to meet. A flirtatious smirk came over his face. “With a cute face like that? It’d be a SHAME if ya couldn’t see me on top o’ you.”

“HEY, YOU.” Inky wrapped his arms around the other ink demon from behind. He was originally threatened by Bendy, but not anymore — he couldn’t imagine his life without him now. Tugging Bendy backwards, he smirked, playfully nipping at the demon’s neck. “Where the fuck ’ve ya been, HM? I missed ya.”

THE DEMON SNORTED in amusement. “You ‘n me both, short stack.” Then again, Inky didn’t believe in God. He didn’t know what existed outside of the Studio; he’d never been anywhere else. But if God was real, then he HAD to be evil to sit and watch all of this suffering, right? “Hey.” Looping his tail around the shorter demon, Inky smirked. “Let’s go CAUSE TROUBLE.”

HE’D NEVER UNDERSTOOD CHRISTMAS. Why was there a random day at the end of the year that people decided to get each other presents and be all happy? Inky wasn’t good at giving presents; how the hell was he supposed to show his appreciation? And WHY? Just… why?

He genuinely didn’t know.

“YEAH, YEAH, whatever,” Inky grumbled, getting up from where he’d been lazily lying on the couch. Reaching out to touch the tree, Inky GASPED SHARPLY, pulling his hand away as soon as it made contact. “What the hell? Why’s it so damn PRICKLY?”

Yeah, he’d never had a Christmas tree before. Sue him.

soft christmas tunes played from a radio in the living room. he's singing along to the music while he busied himself with setting up the rest of the decorations. determined to make the most of the holiday now that they could actually celebrate for once. && he is nearly successful with this ; the only problem being...

he breathed a sigh. ❝ There is no reason fer you ta be such a grump. ❞ bendy shoots a disgruntled look at the other demon. of all holidays inky could have thrown a hissy fit about ...he decided to pick christmas. ❝ Havin a little cheer wouldn't kill you. ❞ he set the box of lights he was carrying down on the table.

❝ Besides I need yer help with puttin the lights on the tree. ❞ they aren't tall enough to reach the higher branches without fetching the ladder.

HIS FOOTSTEPS WERE QUIET, making sure to avoid the creaking of the floorboards. He approached Bendy from behind, waiting for just the right moment before bending down, GROWLING in his ear and grabbing him, one inky hand covering his mouth to muffle his (potential) scream. It was Halloween; what kind of demon would he be if he didn’t go around SCARING everyone?

DAMN. He’d actually listened. He’d actually remembered. Something about that made Inky feel a strange, almost BURNING sensation in his chest — but it was a good thing. Wrapping an arm around Bendy from behind, he roughly yanked the smaller demon against his chest with a grin. “C’mere.” He bent down slightly to whisper to him, in a voice so quiet only Bendy could hear. “Thanks, short stack.”
