dearest  fabala  ,

     i  hope  that  this  letter  finds  you  well  ,  and  that  you  aren’t  too  occupied  with  your  research  to  write  me  back  .  both  father  and  i  miss  you  dearly  ,  so  surely  that  should  be  convincing  enough  to  get  a  good  response  back  .      things  have  been  well  back  at  home  ,  though  i  still  wish  that  you  returned  for  the  break  ;  the  books  and  opportunity  of  research  aren’t  going  anywhere  ,  at  least  not  any  time  soon  .  you  know  ,  there  is  a  limit  on  the  amount  of  time  left  to  spend  time  with  all  of  us  at  home  ,  but  i  digress  .      have  you  come  to  any  conclusions  yet  with  your  research  ?  i  know  that  you  will  eventually  ,  even  if  it  takes  years  .  that  is  ,  you’re  too  stubborn  to  not  come  to  at  least  some  sort  of  conclusion  .      don’t  be  cross  about  that  ,  it’s  a  compliment  .

      𝘕𝘌𝘚𝘚𝘈𝘙𝘖𝘚𝘌  𝘊𝘖𝘜𝘓𝘋   hardly  believe  that  the  two  of  them  were  going  to  be  heading  off  to  school  in  less  than  a  day  !  sure  ,  she  wasn’t  nearly  as  excited  as  elphaba  was  ,  but  still  found  that  it  was  hard  to  settle  down  as  the  evening  came  upon  them  .        gingerly  ,  she  feels  the  spine  of  one  of  her  books  again  ,  savoring  the  feeling  of  its  pristine  binding  .  soon  ,  it  would  be  cracked  and  worn  --  but  that  alone  was  exciting  too  .       ❛  elphaba  ,  i  don’t  think  i’ll  be  able  to  sleep  tonight  !  ❜  nessarose  practically  exclaims  ,  turning  to  look  at  her  sister  who  was  helping  her  to  pack  some  last  minute  items  .  ❛  tomorrow  we’re  going  to  university  --  can  you  even  believe  it  ?  ❜
