Logan will quickly be the first to admit that if he could go back in time and charge how things had began between the two of him he would. In the beginning he had been a selfish man that only had one thing on his mind , but as time went on he started to get to know Maggie. He himself had started opening up to her about personal things in his life. Than the foolish , selfish man tried to pull his usual trick of pushing someone away completely. Maggie had been different though , she fought him on it and everyday he is grateful that she hadn't allowed him to win that battle , because he has never been happier in his life. His happiness of being her husband and the fact they're going to have a child outshines the negativity coming from everyone else. โ Of course it is going to be your father that is going to go hard on me. Truthfully I didn't expect anything different. โ Logan didn't need to have a daughter to understand just how overprotective fathers can be. He watched how protective Clayton is over Nora , and he'd like to say the same for his father with his sister Celia , but that would be a lie. Celia had been a pawn to their father. At least that had been Logan opinion after the whole Atlas , marriage situation. Logan knows he will do everything he can to prove to Maggie's parents that he loves their daughter and plans to do everything in his power to make her the happiest woman alive for the rest of his days. โ If he wants to act how he is truly feeling , I am not going to take it to heart , Maggie. โ He also doesn't want to have her worrying about how Logan may possibly act back if her father is to make the choice to act cold with him during his stay. โ Maggie ... please don't ask me that. โ She has only seen glimpse of the type of man that his old man is , and it had been the nice side of him. Logan doesn't want to tell her what had been said for the sake of sparing her any sort of pain.
โ I am more than willing to give up my childhood bedroom. โ Truthfully he avoided going into his old bedroom since returning home , but he knew with a new makeover of the room into a nursery he'd feel different about going into the room. Logan is more than aware of the fact that Maggie herself is hurting by the behaviour of his sister. Part of him had been shocked that she agreed to come home for a visit , but even with her anger towards him. He is still happy she will be there is a short couple of days. โ I don't have that answer for you. Celia and I have never been on rocky terms like this before. Right now in her eyes I am just known as the lying older brother. โ It hadn't helped that even Clayton tried to back Logan up with Celia about the pregnancy not being the cause for their rushed wedding. Celia is one of those people that once her mind is made up it isn't changing. You could say it is kind of a Rowland trait they get from their old man. โ Oh shit , I probably should have ran that by you before. โ Than again part of him had just assumed she'd have already known that his siblings wouldn't be coming alone. โ Of course she is bringing him. โ Logan doesn't hide his dislike in the idea of seeing the male again. โ I am sure he won't live up to the standard of a man he wants for my sister. Which I did make clear to him when we spoke at the party. โ He said a lot more than just that to the other male which he was sure didn't leave him happy. โ Well , our niece Nora is coming and I think he mentioned bringing Beatriz too ... โ When Clay mentioned bringing Bea with him Logan had been pretty taken off guard , since last he heard they were just friends.
Her husband's words felt heavy between them, part of them being true. The only mistake the pair ever did was pretending that what they had meant nothing, not everything else. But she knew that for everyone else, it could look different. "I think my dad might be the hardest to convince. My mom is still under the shock of it but once she gets here, she'll soften up." Maggie wasn't certain if her father would be convinced quickly or not. In her mind, she felt like it would take the birth of his first grandchild to understand and she was ready to put it with it, as long as her mother was in their corner. "Meeting you will help. Seeing how happy we are also." The life she was living right now was far from the one she had being moving here. While she had never really been a big city kind of person, she was a somewhat successful beauty influencer before she dropped it all for love. Now she was a ranch owner wife, trying to learn what she could about it to help at her best. And she was loving every seconds of it, even if she was mostly exhausted at the end of the day, both from the work and the pregnancy. She was falling asleep everywhere during the evening and would always wake up with Logan next to her. This was the perfect life and it made her worried to have others enter their bubble. "I don't think my dad will give you too much of a hard time but he'll probably be a little closed-off. But I know that he won't say anything bad or act too cold." He wouldn't be mean to Logan, if only for his daughter's sake. "You never told me what your parents really said when you told them." She knew it hadn't gone well and that he was trying to protect her, but they were in this together and she wanted to be there for him.
"It would make more sense to have your old bedroom as the nursery for now," she said with a smile. She knew Celia wasn't taking any of it in the best way and it hurt Maggie, maybe the most. It was hard for the woman to wrap her head around Celia's anger. From their parents, it felt normal, it was expected. But from Logan's sister, his closest family member, it had been puzzling and hurting. She knew not getting to be there for her brother's wedding had been a blow but it had been their decision and perfect for them. "What can I do to have Celia soften about this? I know she's deceived by how things went down but I really thought she'd change her mind by now." They were happy and she wanted others to see that, to understand it and be happy for them too. "They're bringing guests?" God, why didn't she think of that sooner. Her pregnancy brain was really not helping and now she was stressed about the amount of guests. "Is Celia bringing Adrian? That's a huge step, your father will want to met him. Who is Clay bringing?" He wasn't seeing anyone, or so she thought but maybe Logan told her and it went into that now foggy part of her brain.

โ You didn't miss me too much while I was away did you? โ Logan can't help himself but tease her. Lennon's face was both a familiar , but also a strangers face since so much time has passed between the two. The last time that he had spoken to her was when he confessed that he did love her , but they couldn't be more than friends. He hadn't even said goodbye to her before he left town over a year ago.

To the very moment the two had began a relationship things had been beyond toxic between the pair , however part of him couldn't allow himself to let her go. Their relationship had last a whole year before things had become too much and one of them had called off the relationship. Logan can't exactly remember the details other than the fact that she still holds a tight grip on him. He hadn't meant to ruin her family's dinner by showing up and demanding that they spoke after being split up for five months , but it felt so much longer than that. โ I don't understand. You claim to have always know that I was a bad person yet you allowed yourself to be with me for a whole year?! You could still love me even knowing that? โ He is doing everything he can to try and understand what exactly it was that tore them apart. Both knew things about each other that not even people close to them like family had know. Even knowing her darker side , Logan still loved her. Loves her.

โ Don't you think it is best to keep our drunken actions in the past? โ Avoiding his intoxicated behaviour is kind of Logan's specialties. He definitely is trying his best to avoid the conversation the two had the last time they had gone out for some drinks.

โ i think it should have been you embarrassed of me. you're a woman of every man's dream , and i can't say i've exactly been many women's first choice. โ there are still days in which logan finds himself believing that maggie is too good for him. questioning how a woman like her had ever agreed to become his wife. there is no doubt in the male's mind that she could easily have any man that she wanted , but he would always be grateful she picked him. before maggie most of the relationships he had with women tended to only be a casual thing , and truthfully he hadn't even thought about the possibility of him or even maggie running into one of those past flings. โ maybe you don't see yourself as perfect but to me you're always going to be , and always be out of my league. so consider this as me admitting that i will count my blessings to have such an amazing wife. โ logan speaks with nothing but affection in his tone. a tone that has become his usual whenever speaking with her. he always made sure to go out of his way to make it known just how much that he loves her , and now they are going to be welcoming a human that is half of both of them. secretly he is hoping that they end up being more like maggie than himself.
he does greatly fear the reaction that they will get the moment that the news is out about maggie being pregnant. โ i don't want you to worry about celia , i will let her cool down before trying to reach out to her. i know i should be the one to tell her , but i am going to ask clay to break the news to her. he has a way with words and maybe he can make her see it differently. โ logan doesn't want to have maggie worrying about anything and that included whatever possibly feelings his younger sister may have. โ i know that you're right. just like i know that there is no point in worrying about things we don't know will or won't happen. for now i don't want to worry about them. this isn't a moment that should be ruined by the possible negativity of others. โ he speaks in a soft tone. โ well i would like to believe that we will be wanting more in the future? โ logan hadn't really thought about how maggie may feel about the idea of having more than one child. โ i will never look at you any different. if anything i will look at you in awe at the changes your body will make in order to house our child. โ finishing his words before his lips meet her's as he gives her a sweet kiss.
"That's what I kept telling her but she didn't believe me," Maggie said with a laugh. She had never felt like she was something to stay hidden, at least not for the same reasons her best friend seemed to think. She knew Logan wasn't ashamed of her or trying to keep her secret so he could sleep with many women in town. But the second they went out among others, what they had would became real, too real and he was not ready. Because going public with her meant that he suddenly had something to loose too, that he had her and could loose her. And the same was true of Maggie. They were not supposed to be anything serious, anything real but they were and it scared her for the longest time. It scared her up until the moment she told Logan she would follow him anywhere, when she made the decision that he was her future and what she wanted more than anything. "Stop, we both know I'm far from perfect. And that I could never be ashamed of you either." Maggie knew that being pregnant would complicated things with their family. Everyone had thought so, that they eloped because she was pregnant and they said it wasn't that. And it wasn't a lie, when they got married, she wasn't pregnant yet. But now she was and it was another gift from Logan, from life.
"It will be another shock for everyone," she sighed. "I'll talk to her, explain that we both didn't know. And if it matters to you, I wasn't pregnant when we got married. But that wedding night? That's when we really started our family." Their family, the sound of that made her smile bigger than she ever had before. "I don't have any doubts in you or in us. Our families will eventually see it our way. They're surprised but once they see us happy and raising our kids, they won't have anything to say about it." And if they did, it wouldn't be any of her problems. Maggie wanted to focus on what they were building, that was what mattered the most to her. "Hopefully a first of many?" It was ridiculous to think that far ahead but she couldn't help it. She wanted nothing more than to have a big family with Logan, to have a house full of chaos, screaming and laughters. "You better never turn it down," she teased him. "And when I'm enormous and swollen, you'll have to still look at me the same way."

even if her confession that the two aren't dating doesn't seem to calm the jealousy that still has a strong hold on him at the moment. logan quickly notes the annoyance in her tone. leaving him to question if it had been fault that she hadn't been able to commit herself to the other male , and yes he knows it is selfish to be more than happy with the idea of being the reason she doesn't have a serious relationship with the other. there it is , the answer to his question. it had been his own fault that she isn't able to commit herself to the other man. โ i never realized that you've been waiting around for me to tell you what i want. โ logan pauses for a moment to allow himself to collect his thoughts before speaking again since it's clear this conversation is a serious one. โ i want to start off by saying i am sorry january for making your love life so miserable because of the coward i can be when it comes to my feelings for you. i know i should have told you sooner that i've wanted this to be more than a friendship between us. if this situation has taught me anything , it has shown me that i hate the idea of you being with any other man that isn't me ... โ
it feels like they'd been dancing around one another for years , always following the wrong paths but sometimes it felt like they were so close . " i'm not with him . " she states , a bite of irritation hanging on her every word . the defensive tone was not needed but she could not help it , worry that he'll try to spin it on her or perhaps accept that she had messed it up by trying to bury her feelings and finally move on . " i've gone on a couple of dates with him . he's nice , he's fine but i don't want fine . i'm not looking to settle for something i'm not fully committed to but god --- if i sat around waiting forever , i'd be all grey by the time you finally said something . " and she so badly wants him to continue , to be clear about what he means because she can't settle for a little more than friendship . she needs to hear him finally say it after waiting for so damn long .

There had been a time or two when Logan believed that he had found the right woman to love for himself to be proven wrong. Part of him had always been waiting for someone to open the door and jump out and yell psych. There has still been moments throughout days when he finds himself watching his wife in disbelief that she is actually his forever. Sure their relationship hadn't exactly started off how it should have , but it had brought the two of them to the realization of their true feelings for one another. It had caused Logan worry that if things were to become serious between the two that one of them would be hurt in the end. Never in a million years had he imagined that she would be so up for the idea of packing up her life from the only place she has ever known to move to a state that is almost half a country away from her ' home '. Well what once was her home he should put it as now this has become her new home , with him and the family they will build. โ I have never been ashamed of you Maggie. What is there to be ashamed of when it comes to being with the most perfect woman anyone could as for to be their wife? If anyone should be ashamed to be with anyone it should be you ashamed of me. โ Logan knows that there will be protest come from the fem but in his eyes it is the truth. โ I am sure that Celia would be honoured to do that. I'm not exactly sure how I am going to break the news to her without being accused of a liar. She already asked me if you were pregnant. Believing that could be the only reason we'd get married the way we did. Of course neither of us knew , but I doubt she will believe me right now. She hates me right now. I think he has doubts in me. I have always been known to mess things up. โ There is no denying he has made a fair mess of things in the past but he has no desire to do that with his marriage or raising their children.
โ You're right , Gill can wait till the morning. โ He knew his cousin likely would have called him a fool for calling him about business than celebrating with his wife the great news. Tonight his main focus should be on his now growing family. He knew that once he tells his family his and Maggie's great news that it will be like opening Pandora's box. He isn't exactly expecting a lot of happy reactions other than from his older brother. Clay has always told Logan he'd be a great father after watching him with Nora. He knew Celia would come around once she was done being upset with him. His folks they're unpredictable. So for now Logan wants to enjoy the happy news with just himself and his wife. โ I don't really think it is going to until he or she is here , and even then it will still be hard to believe that we created another life. โ A soft smile forming upon his lips. โ I think that sounds like a wonderful idea even if the last part isn't something that I'd ever turn down. โ Logan teases.
Logan wasn't wrong, she had been crazy about him not long after they first met. Maybe it was ironic, considering that they were both trying to fool themselves into thinking it meant nothing, but he felt different, real. What they had was supposed to be only between the sheets but there was more. They talked, they laughed, they shared things. Just because no one really knew about them didn't mean that what they had wasn't real. To her, it just meant it was too real to ruin, too precious to let anyone else come between them. She had flings before, men that served only one purpose and Logan hadn't been like that at all. And she had been almost certain that he wasn't seeing anyone else either. It was almost ridiculous to her, how they kept on pretending and she had been scare to loose him. Now she knew they would be together until the end. "Why do you think I was so angry that you were going to leave without me?" she asked with a laugh. "She's just happy that you're no longer ashamed of me." Maggie knew it had never been that but her best friend didn't approve of how the couple kept things secret. She knew that Maggie was seeing someone, even if the blonde woman had wanted to keep it secret, she had been able to quickly tell that there was someone special in Maggie's life. "We can let your sister organize the baby shower if she wants." It felt strange to say those words aloud but there was no denying that she was excited for what was to come. "And Clay doesn't know what he's talking about. Nothing can ruin us." There was that confidence again, the one that Maggie felt when it came to them.
"Or you can call him tomorrow and we can celebrate tonight." Gill and everyone else would still be there tomorrow and nothing would be fixed tonight, even if Logan got Gill to come back to the ranch. Maggie didn't have anything fancy planned to celebrate like she would have want to but maybe it was actually better that way. After all, they did everything differently than was expected and she honestly wouldn't have it any other way. "It hasn't sink in yet." To be honest, taking the test had been more an inkling than anything else, her body not having registered the changes yet. "We could eat outside, watch the stars for a bit and then, if you've been nice, you could see one the sets before they don't fit anymore."

In the beginning Maggie had just been the woman that he had used to keep himself distracted from the bullshit that had been going on both at home and on his brother's ranch. He had made it clear to himself and Maggie that things between them would never be serious , or at least that is what he had thought. However as time passed and the more time the two had spent together , Logan quickly realized that there was more between the two than just sleeping together. However he knew he wasn't building a home here , and he doubted that Maggie would want to follow him which had been the main reason he tried to end things between the two originally. Oh but how wrong he had been , and he can't help but be happy that she proved him wrong and he isn't one that likes to be proven wrong. โ Oh is that so? You can't tell me that you weren't crazy about me just as much?! โ Nothing but confidence in his tone , as he is sure that Maggie had been pretty into his early on as well. โ Well I will have to be sure to make a good impression on her than whenever we get the chance to meet. โ There is no denying that Logan is wanting to make sure that he makes a great impression on all the important people in his wife's life as he has no intention on going anywhere. Meaning they'd be stuck with having to deal with each other and he'd much prefer to get along with those people. โ Clay , he didn't really say much other than don't be dumb and do something stupid to ruin things. To make sure that I'm the best husband that I can be and to treat you right. Now Celia , well she is very upset with me right now. I haven't heard from her since I broke the news... โ Logan doesn't really want to go into much detail about his sister's feelings about the way they went about getting married. โ We can always revisit the idea another time if it is something you ever change your mind about. โ As much as he hates dressing in a fancy suit he'd do it for her. โ Well , aren't I just the luckiest. โ A teasing smirk begins to form once again. โ I will reach out to him maybe later tonight. I know he is currently going through his own shit right now. โ Logan had caught up with his cousin one night when they had gone out for a drink to catch up. The other male had told him everything that had been going on in how own life. Of course Logan had listened and did his best to give the other advice. So maybe offering him a temporary job on the ranch man help him clear his head or become a distraction. There is a tad bit of shock when Maggie had confirmed that she in fact pregnant. โ Don't worry about any of that. I can't believe that we're going to be having a baby. โ She isn't wrong it could be considered a lot , but to him he couldn't be more happier with how things are coming together finally in his life.
"Incredibly confident," she teased back. Yes, she was confident now, but she hadn't been as confident when he told her it was over, that he was moving back home. despite being quite certain back then that what they had was real, Maggie hadn't been so convinced Logan knew it or wanted to. But now that they had taken their relationship to the next step, decided to make a life commitment to each others, she was incredibly confident. And she knew that he would have regretted not doing something, anything, to get her back once he had left. She was just thankful it hadn't taken him the distance to know he couldn't loose her. Maggie really loved him and she knew that she would never love anyone like that ever again. "I knew early on that you couldn't get enough of me." The words were said with a laugh because honestly, she imagined a future with him after a few times together. "Yeah, it's expected. My best friend is coming around." Her parents too but it was a harder pill to swallow and it would be another one when they learned she was pregnant. She knew everyone would think they got married because she was pregnant but it didn't matter to her. Logan and her would always know the truth and that was all that counted. "What about your siblings?" Somehow, she doubted that it bothered Clay much but Celia, that was something else. Maggie didn't know the woman well at all but she knew she loved Logan a lot. "I'm just now realizing that a ceremony isn't so much for the people getting married but for everyone else. It still doesn't matter much to me, as long as I'm your wife." It still felt strange to say the word out loud, as if she should be shy about it but in reality, it made her very proud to be able to call herself that. "There's a few pieces you haven't seen yet, kept the good stuff for someone special, guess that means you now."
Logan had a point, that Gill couldn't be seen as a suitable replacement. But she also knew it wasn't something his cousin wanted. "I think he'd be a reassuring presence and everyone knows you're the boss, that it was supposed to be. It might be worth trying, for a little while at least." Maggie knew he wouldn't have said he was ready to start a family if he wasn't, but she needed to hear him say it again. She knew this was a big step, and right after getting married, something that was unplanned and life changing. And now she was pregnant. "I am," she said with a smile. "Found out this morning. I wanted to get you something ridiculous with daddy on it." This was a better way to tell him, right after he said he was ready to start their family. "I know it's a lot," she added, as much for herself as for Logan.

Logan can't help but laugh at his friend's remark about how he sleeps just perfectly at night. โ You're right , being a husband can be pretty exhausting at times. โ He continues to joke , knowing that Maggie would have likely given his a playful slap for his teasing remark. There is no denying that his life has changed drastically for the better since the last time the two had spoken. Logan always knew that he would be back in town at some point to take over his family's ranch , but never had he imagined that it would involve him bringing home a wife , and to now be expecting their first child so quickly after their marriage. Yet he has always been known for his chaotic behaviour , so in a way you could say it isn't exactly out of character for him. โ She is very special , and I have no doubts that you're going to love her. โ He has no fears about how the introduction between the two females will go , because he likes to believe that he is a good judge of character. Meaning that he is pretty confident that the two females are going to connect easily. Maggie is nothing like the women that Logan had surrounded himself with in the past. โ I definitely think we should steer her away from those photos. She hasn't really said much , but I could tell in her smile that she likes her. โ Logan had no doubts that his mother would adore Maggie , and to be happy that her son had finally found someone that makes him happy enough to make him a married man. Logan doesn't allow his father's judgement of his actions take a hold on him like it use to in the past.
โ Well at least one ' auntie ' seems to be happy about the idea. โ It wasn't that he thought that Celia wasn't happy about the idea of becoming an aunt again , but more about how they had went about it happening so quickly after their marriage that it left her with ideas of him lying to her. โ You know that I have always appreciated the confidence you've had in me even when I didn't believe that I deserved it all the time. โ Logan pauses for a moment as he gets lost in his thoughts for a couple of moments. โ I know what I did to Atlas was kind of fucked up even if he did deserve something for what he did to Celia , but part of me wonders that it was that night that gave me the excuse to leave this place. To go somewhere else , to grow up and realize the good things in life. โ He tends to avoid talking about what had happened with the other male , but in a way he had to thank him for having him sent away to only end up finding his own happiness during that time. โ I know , but I would never just marry her because she is pregnant. โ Logan knew that many people had gone straight to the conclusion that he had only married Maggie because she is pregnant. In the beginning it had frustrated him beyond words because he couldn't understand why people couldn't think the two married because they loved each other , not because a baby is now involved. โ Well now I am starting to question if I can allow that to happen. โ A teasing smirk forming. Of course he knew that he'd want two of the most important women in his life to meet and have a close relationship even if it meant they could team up on him at anytime.
"I have no doubts about that, must be exhausting to be a husband and father to be," she said teasingly. Truthfully, Lennon had no doubts that he sleep great because of how his life was going. It seemed to her like he had found his person and found his place in life and she was happy for it. There was a part of her that was sad she hadn't been there to see it unfold, but then again, if he hadn't left, he wouldn't have found Maggie or he would and Lennon wouldn't have been ready to see it. Now she was ready to be supportive and present in her friend's happiness. "She sounds special and I can't wait to met her!" The feeling was genuine and Lennon was happy about it, happy that they seemed to find their way back to the friendship they once had. There was a part of the woman that was scared Maggie wouldn't like her. There had been women in Logan's life before that saw her as a threat or didn't like that they were so close and she hoped it wouldn't be the case with Maggie. Maybe the fact that Lennon wasn't single would help and then the fact that Logan had married Maggie after he tried to pull away. "God, baby Logan pictures! You know the kind of photos of you that I have are very different from the staged one from your family. Does your mom like Maggie?" His father would probably dislike anyone that he hadn't chosen and even then, he would find things to say about her. But her mother was different, more caring and loving. And she knew that if she didn't like Maggie, it would be hard on Logan.
"Good, because I really wanted to be happy about it." Daddy Logan, that was something she never thought she'd see, even if she wanted him to find that happiness. "That kid better call me auntie Lennon," she said happily. She wasn't his sister, but she was close and that was the kind of relationship she wanted with Logan. "Of course I never doubted you. You might not have want to see it before, but I know you and know the kind of man you are. I knew you'd be able to get where you are right now, you just needed to believe it too." Maybe that was part of why she had romantic feelings for him before, wanting Logan to get to that place in his life that maybe she had felt like she needed to bring him there. But now she realized that maybe her role in all of it had only been to push him further without it being her he ended up with. Whatever it was, she was entirely certain that she didn't have the same complicated feelings she had before he left. Now he was back to just being Logan, her best friend since childhood. "You have to admit that it's normal to ask the question." It wasn't a judgment but since the two events were so close together, them getting married and becoming parents, Lennon felt it was normal to have certain doubts. Not that she had them now that he said it wasn't because of that. "Then again, I never thought you'd get married because you had to so I have no doubts you got married for the right reasons." She felt relieved when he said that his wife knew about her but she didn't know how much she knew and that was something on her mind. She didn't want to know if Maggie knew the lines they crossed, didn't know if she'd be relieved of hurt but whatever the answer would be. It was best to keep all of that in the past. "I'm glad you think we'd get along. I'll differently make like harder for you if we do. You thought I was a pain in your ass before? Just imagine my power if I get along with your wife." Logan had missed their friendship and that was all she needed to know.

Hearing her agree to his words only confirms that there is no going back to what they had been before things became complicated between the two. Even though things had shifted in their relationship , one thing Logan knows is that nothing can change the way that he cares about her. He'd still drop whatever he may be doing to be there for Lennon if she asked him to. โ I truthfully don't know if that is possibly to avoid anymore , Lennon. You've always been terrible at hiding how you're truly feeling and I know right now that you're hurting and it is because of me. You know that I would never intentionally go out of my way and hurt you.. โ He'd be lying if he didn't say that it kills him to know that he has been the root of her pain these past months by telling you one thing but acting the complete opposite. In his mind he was far past fixing , and she didn't deserve someone with issues. She deserves someone that is put together and sadly that isn't Logan , and there is no saying that it ever will be. โ Lennon , you don't deserve to have a man with so much baggage as I do. I know you know what I'm talking about. There are so many better men in this town that deserves you more than I ever will. I hate saying that , but it is the truth. โ He could see the tears that began to swell in her eyes , and it was obvious she didn't want to cry in front of him. โ Lennon , โ he speaks her name in a soft tone as thumbs wipe away the tears that have now started to stream down her cheeks. โ you do and I really hope that you find that. I love you. โ It had been the first time he had spoken those three words out of the friendship context. โ I love you so much that I'm letting you go to find that man that you deserve. โ He hadn't even given himself enough time to think about his action , because he knew if he did than he'd stop himself. Maybe he should have. it is too late for that now because he is already leaning in. His lips met her's in what he considered their final kiss.
"No, we're not," she agreed with a sigh. Lennon had known that for a while and until now, she had pretended otherwise but it was clear that what they did changed them forever. For a while she hoped it was for the best, that what they were becoming was only stronger and closed but she had been forced to admit things didn't went that way and now she was left with so many pieces to pick up. "It doesn't mean the new us has to be this painful." It was the first time Lennon admitted to Logan that she was hurt, that she felt pain from the lines they crosses too often. She didn't really think it was a mistake, didn't think Logan was such a thing, but she had spent her life watching so many people in his life, himself included, think he was exactly that. She knew by now that she alone was not strong enough to convince him differently. Such a change could only come from him and that hurt her too, to not be enough. "That's what you don't understand Logan, you can be that man. You are that man," She wasn't angry anymore, only hurt. Tears were swelling in her eyes and she looked away for a second in the hopes of stopping them from coming. "You can't ask me that. You can't ask me not to love anyone more when you don't want me. And when you know I can't love anyone the way I love you." There they were, the tears she had fought so hard to push back. "I deserve to be loved and happy, even if it can't be with you."

There is no denying that one of the things that he loves about his wife is the confidence that she has. It is something that Logan himself envies and wishes that he had more of. โ Sounds like someone is very confident in their answer. โ A teasing smirk begins to form upon his lips as he knows that Maggie is well aware that she isn't wrong. Logan probably would have put himself in his truck and travelled all the way back to get her and bring her back with him. Logan had once believed that he felt like before , but he had been wrong. Until meeting Maggie , he hadn't really knew what it was to love or be loved by someone else that wasn't family. โ I would be a tad bit worried if their reaction had been anything else. I know it is going to take some time for everyone to come around and accept our choice , but I do hope it happens sooner than later. โ His last remark had been more aimed at his sister more than anyone. They were a good amount of miles away from each other but he could still feel her anger and pain. Celia had been hurt by enough male figures in her life , and Logan hates to think he has been added to that list. โ Well you know me well enough to know that I would never shy away or deny such an idea. โ A smirk of his own began to form once again on the male's lips at his wife's words. โ You have my word that I will always tell you the truth about anything even if I know there is a possibility it could upset you. I think we both know I can't keep anything from you. โ An amused laugh falls from the male's lips.
โ That is true , but I also have to be careful that the men don't come up with the idea of possibly seeing Gill as the man in charge. As you said the men trust my cousin and I can only hope that his presence won't cause questioning of leadership. โ Of course Logan knows that the other male would quickly have his back if things ever were to go down that road , but part of him worries he will regret bringing him around even if it is a short period of time. However with his wife idea maybe it could bring everyone ease once they realize the type of man that he has become while being away. If he had been asked before about the idea of starting a family he probably would have laughed and said it is a desire for way down the road. That had all changed once he had met Maggie , and now all he can see is the future that they're going to have. โ If I wasn't ready than I wouldn't have said I was. โ He hadn't imagined that there was a possibility that she could already be pregnant until she told him that she is already expecting. โ You are? โ It seemed to be the only words that he could mange to get out of his mouth in that moment.
"You would, yes. Just admit it, you'd regret not asking me to come," she answered with a teasing smile. Maybe she would have been the one to travel all the way to here just to tell him he was making a mistake if he had left her behind. It was strange and if she was honest, there were moments when the meaning of being married didn't entirely made sense. Maggie always thought it was such a big step and while it was one, it felt like the most natural thing, the right thing with Logan. "My parents are confused and my best friend was mad I didn't put her in some ugly dress. Everyone will come around, it's a lot for them but it's not their lives." Maggie couldn't help but laugh at his words. One day, when things settled down, they'd do something on the ranch to celebrate it. "I can still give you some honeymoon night in our bedroom," she teased. She had a few lingeries in her drawers, some that Logan hadn't seen on her yet. "I promise. You, what we have, it's all that matters to me. I'll always come to you if something isn't working, as long as you do the same." It was strange how calm seemed to have settled on Maggie the moment they decided to stay together, have a life together. It was like she had matured suddenly, like Logan was all she needed to do it.
"With Gill by your side, some of the men will calm down. They trust him and he doesn't seem the kind to make waves. He'll be the stability they need for now." The thought of inviting all these people over was almost dizzying but she knew it was needed. It would be a first step and Maggie knew that what she had to tell Logan would also put some of the people at ease but she wanted to keep that between them, for now. She was relieved to hear him say he was ready to start their family if she was. She had taken the test that morning and she hadn't been too surprised by the result. It was a strange feeling, the happiness she had felt when she saw the two lines but she had been uncertain how Logan would take it, that early into the move. "Are you ready, really?" she asked softly. She knew that if he said it, he was ready but she needed to hear him say it again. Leaning into the kiss, Maggie sighed softly as she pulled away, if only a little. "We're going to need a nursery soon." She was pretty certain they conceived on their wedding night, judging by the dates. "I'm ready and pregnant Logan."

โ You make it sound like I would have had to travel all the way back to fix my mistake if I hadn't done it the first time around?! โ A teasing smirk begins to form upon the male's lips before leaning in to place a sweet kiss upon her lips. There are still days that the male finds himself waking up in the morning questioning how he became deserving of such a woman that he gets to call his wife. Part of him started to believe he didn't deserve any sort of happiness , but than Maggie came along and proved him wrong. โ I mean I would totally not be opposed to the idea of seeing you in a white wedding dress. I am sure you'd be the perfect mixture of looking stunning and sexy at the same time. โ The smirk on Logan's lips grew slightly bigger. โ So your friends and family don't hate me for not having them be there? โ If she were to tell him that they were angry and upset than he'd accept the answer since some members of his own family are. If anyone was to ask Logan would say that his younger sister Celia is probably his biggest hater right now. This has been the longest that the two have gone without speaking. โ Just promise me that if there ever comes a time you will come and talk to me. You're the most precious thing in my life and I don't want to do anything stupid to lose you. โ Anyone that knows Logan would tell you that he isn't a sappy type of man , but when it comes to his wife that is a completely different story.
โ I am not too worried about Gill. He is the type of man that will help anyone out if he is able to. โ Logan had spent some one on one time with his cousin since his return , meaning he knew the current mess the male found himself in. So with that being said maybe Gill hanging around will be helpful for the male's mind but also hard to see Logan and Maggie together. โ If that is really what you want to do than I am on board with the idea. Just know that some of the men are a bit rowdy even in their older age. โ A laugh falls from his lips but quickly because silenced at the mention of their future children. Logan knew they had the conversation a couple of times once they realized how serious things are between the two , but just hearing the words come from Maggie's lips this time gave him a different feeling. A great feeling. โ Is this your way of telling me you're ready to start that family? If you are , so am I.โ Softness in his tone once again. Placing hands on both sides of her face before bringing her face closer to his own before closing rest of the gap between the two. Lips meeting her's.
"I'm happy, you make me happy Logan. If I hadn't followed you here, I can promise you I'd be a mess back home, heartbroken." Their start together, as husband and wife, was rocky because of how people reacted to Logan coming back but not because of anything between them. Maggie knew it would be difficult, he had warned her. "Being that happy is what I deserved, not some fancy night that would put us in debts," she said with a laugh. "They know, my friends back home also know." The news had been received with mixed feelings. First, she had suddenly told everyone that she was moving states away with a man she had been seeing that wasn't supposed to be that serious and then a few days later, she was married. To them it seemed like a whirlwind romance that would burn out quickly but she knew they were wrong. Her best friend had been sad at first to not have been a maid of honor but she had seen through Maggie for a long time and knew how much Logan meant to her. "I have nothing to hide to anyone baby, not you, not us. Believe me, I'm too happy being with you to want to hide it." What her family and friends didn't know was how hard all of it was on Logan or how the men working for him were challenging him daily. Maggie had half a mind to go see his father and tell him to talk to the men and right is past wrongs when it came to Logan. If anyone could change things quickly, it was him.
Maggie had only briefly met Gill but he seemed like a good man, one that was there for his family and ready to help. "It cost nothing to ask him." This was what she liked, hearing about Logan's problems and helping him try to change things. It felt like they really were in this together, like he valued her. "If it helps them understand that you're here to stay and care about this, yes." She was younger than some of the other wives or girlfriends but that didn't matter. Some of them had daughters her age and she made a note to reach out to them if possible. This was a seduction program. Maggie understood that Logan coming back with a wife from somewhere else put some not so at ease and she needed to do her part to make this work. "They need to see it to believe it, we'll show them. I'll even show them the extra bedrooms where our kids will sleep one day if it's needed." It was something they briefly talked about, things going so fast since they decided to be together, since being able to say that what they had wasn't the casual thing they had both pretended it was. But it was something she wanted, to have a family with him.
