days like this are few and far between, especially with an impending trial on the horizon. usually, romeo is far too active around camp—talking to the denizens, helping out where he can, training. he keeps himself occupied if only to prove that he deserves their praise.

today isn't one of those days.

he's in the kitchens, still in his pajamas—a pair of sweatpants, an oversized shirt, and his feet tucked into a pair of comfortable slippers—there's remnants of sleep dust on the edges of his eyes. he's riffling through some of the cupboards, looking for comfort food that doesn't require actual cooking.

it's when he's bent down to look in one of the bottom cupboards that he hears the door opening. "i'm not cooking, don't ask." he says through a stifled yawn. he's grabbing a box of cereal—golden grahams—before he stands up and turns to face the onlooker. "oh, morningish, simon." it's midday at this point, truth be told. "hungry?" he shakes the box of cereal, moving toward the island in the kitchens before he sits on top of it.
