001.    alias  /  name :    my real name is alina, but im kinda flexible with aliases and names? i always tell people to call me whatever they want for a reason! but besides alina, i also like the name aurora & went by joey for a while too .... *jazz hands*

002.    birthday :    guess what? it's literally right around the corner! my day of birth is october 25!

003.    zodiac :    scorpio supremacy baby! with gemini moon & capricorn rising to go with it

004.    height :    literally no clue, i've never cared much about my height. last i checked ( which must've been forever ago ) it was like ... 5'6?

005.    hobbies :    writing is obviously my main one, since it's the most rewarding hobby for me. but i also do art on the rare occasion and i practice ventriloquism with my dummy here and there. erm, i also play games when i have a console! and debates are cool

007.    favorite  color :    i've always been fond of light pinks & bright reds. definitely a warm color person. oh! and i also like intense white colors, or dulled grays ...

008.    favorite  book :    not a big book dude after discovering fanfic haha, but ive always adored lord of the flies when i read it in school. it occasionally reawakens my fancy now and again too, because there's something so intimate about a bunch of adolescent boys descending into savagery ... and the question of if that's a good or bad thing. but yeah, that! but perhaps the new book im reading, wuthering heights, will top it!

009.    favorite  food :    i will eat anything so i don't think i have a favorite food, sorry!

010.    last  show :    escape the night if i had to guess, it's the last show i watched that i actively focused on. i'm not a big show person.

011.    inspiration :    i don't really do much to get inspo to write, it just comes and goes whenever it wants ; but i do think me spending late hours reading through tumblr poetry blogs helps sparks my creativity! spite and loneliness are also inspirations in their own form.

012.    story  behind  url :    i think it's quite obvious and very unoriginal ,,, but i'll talk about it anyway! law- is for the fact mat is, well, a detective. he doesn't show this off too much in the show and i don't think it's the biggest part of his character, but it's important nonetheless, since roles in etn are important. also his whole boner for justice ( when it works for him ) also contributes to that law- part. -rising is thanks to the lazarus harp, and shows mat's revival! he was risen from the grave so. yeah!

patron of reunions.

humanity delights you, and for all their troubles and hardships, you decide that sometimes, you will let them win. thus, you grant them the blessing of reunion. think of harbours lined with people, each one waiting for a sailor to come ashore. think of chance encounters, of suspiciously serendipitous days where souls gone astray finally orbit one another and collide again. you are the god of finding courage, of conceding and asking for help. the god of setting broken things to mend, of starting the healing process and seeing it through to completion.

god of long overdue embraces, giver of clear eyesight used to navigate a sea of people. protector of those who lie awake at night in dreamless, fitful sleep, praying for a return. god of leaving a light on and unlocking the door, physically and symbolically. you pave the way home in smooth stone, serving as cushions for blistered, wandering feet. you set the banquet and rehearse the orchestra: you bless the home anticipating the wayward, whether it is a castle or a hovel. the herald of arrival, the one who guides the lost to where they can finally be found.

WHAT IS HOLDING YOU BACK

the inability to accept change and the decisions that come along with it.

you want things to be clear cut, but that's not the way it works. you tell yourself it's alright when you mess up time and time again, but inside, you're devastated. you can't make a decision, no matter how many times you tell yourself to. it should be easy, but it's not. you're paralyzed. you're never ready. it feels like everybody is pushing you into a life you're not prepared for. but, truthfully, the stress you feel is likely emanating from yourself. you're expecting yourself to come to a conclusion and you can't, so you're in pain. you don't want doors to shut, so you're pulling yourself too thin. it's not hopeless, however. it never is. if you let some things go, you'd have more room. i know you don't want to. but it might not be as suffocating. wouldn't it be nice to finally get a chance to breathe?

WHO WILL DANCE WITH YOU AT THE STARLIGHT BALL

a royal guard.

they are guarding one of the gates, in full ceremonial armour and helmet. you try to strike a conversation with them, but they reply awkwardly, not expecting anyone to speak with them. you stay close to them, leaning against the wall and wondering how they manage to stand for so many hours in full armour. you speak with them and find out they have an amazing memory for epic stories. they tell you about dragons, princesses, and humble stable boys who became heroes. you listen for hours, enthralled by stories both old and new. when you ask them to dance they say they cannot leave their post, but after some insisting they will step outside into the corridors with you and dance to the muffled music from the dancehall.

their steps are a bit stiff, as if they had memorised the dance but never practiced it with anyone else. when you ask to see their face, they say they are not allowed to remove their helmet. as the night comes to a close you will say your goodbyes and they will hand you a note folded to resemble a flower, asking to see you again. when you ask the other knights the next day, they will tell you that no knights are posted during balls, that they are replaced by magical automatons, powered by silver cogs and arcane magic. will you search for them on the next ball?

slytherin primary.

slytherin primaries are fiercely loyal to the people they care for most. slytherin is the place where “you’ll make your real friends”– they prioritize individual loyalties and find their moral core in protecting and caring for the people they are closest to. slytherin’s reputation for ambition comes from the visibility of this promotion of the self and their important people– ambition is something you can find in all four houses; slytherin’s is just the one that looks most obviously selfish. because their morality system of “me and mine first” is fairly narrow in scope, slytherins often construct an additional morality system (a “model”) to deal with situations that are not addressed by their personal loyalty system.

while slytherin has a reputation for being insular and amoral, a slytherin’s loyalty does not have to be limited to a small group of loved ones. some slytherins have “inner circles” so large they look like hufflepuffs. but it's a big possessive type of love. to quote terry pratchett’s tiffany aching: “then turn selfishness into a weapon! make all things yours! make other lives and dreams and hopes yours! protect them! save them! bring them into the sheepfold! walk the gale for them! keep away the wolf! my dreams! my brother! my family! my land! my world! how dare you try to take these things, because they are mine!” a slytherin can also have no one in their inner circle except for themself. but the idea of prioritizing your self (and, if you have them, your people) is a moral good in its own right-- it’s healthy, honest, and grounded. you can do lots of other things with your life-- be generous, ambitious, contrary, cruel, kind-- but you don’t feel bad about stepping back and taking care of you and yours. there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, there’s something really right about that.

hufflepuff secondary.

hufflepuff secondaries invest themselves into their world with service and support. when things turn out well for a puff it often comes as a result of those old investments culminating and giving back. old debts might raise their head in a time of need. communities the puff has supported or built might marshal to their aid without even being asked. their reputation might precede them, allowing them trust or the allowances that they need. they spend the time and do the work-- while a lot of the time that work may be invested in the people around them, it can also be invested in projects, systems, or organizations-- and that work, too may pay back in time of need. often overlooked, hufflepuff secondaries may be handed secrets, access, or tasks of monumental importance because they have developed a reputation that they can be trusted with them. this reputation is earned through a slow and steady process of hard work.

not everyone can see the worth of a hufflepuff secondary. less flashy than a gryffindor, less smooth than a slytherin, less jack-of-all-trades than a ravenclaw, their strength is their dedication. like all secondaries, this sorting is about what a hufflepuff wants to do-- not necessarily what they are able to achieve within the constraints of life, circumstance, and health. but a hufflepuff wants to show up. they want to work well and fairly. they want to achieve things honestly and stand on solid ground. this is what makes a hufflepuff: they show up. they do the work, often for no obvious gain except for the satisfaction of a job well done. this is the source of their power, and it is slowly gathered, not obvious to look at, and rarely spent. where gryffindors charge and slytherins transform, the hufflepuff seems inconsequential and harmless until the moment when they rise up and call on all their debts, secrets, and trust.

overall.

slytherin primaries prioritize their own selves and loved ones first. slytherins don't feel guilty or selfish about this-- they feel righteous and moral. the most important thing is to look after your own. abandoning or hurting one of your own is the worst thing you can do. and hufflepuff secondaries work. they're the ones who show up, reliable and trusted.

WHAT KIND OF ⎯⎯⎯ TO LOVERS ARE YOU

friends to lovers.

first comes understanding. there's something about them that you just get, and they get you. you're soft around each other, extra considerate, allowing this person into the domesticity of your life just because they make the little moments better. because you like to see them happy. they deserve to be happy, after all. you want what's best for them because they're your f... you want them to be more than your friend. you look at them and see someone so completely worth loving, and it kills you not to be able to say that to them - what if you lose what you have? it's enough, you tell yourself, just to be able to love someone so fully. it's enough just to be near them. of course, meanwhile, they are thinking all the same things about you, wondering if your small gestures actually mean something, or if they're reading too much into it. things are so good now, maybe it's not worth upsetting. you live in the torturous pleasure of their orbit, but one day, the truth comes out, and the relief that comes is the sweetest you have ever tasted.
