I'm just thinking about Eren's last moments with Jean where he's telling him and his horsey-face to take care of Mikasa. LIKE. It's not a particularly heartwarming scene between the both of them. There's probably some punching there and goading like they usually often do, but maybe after all the beating up they do on each other they're just lying down on the ground and they be like:

Jean: I'm going to make Mikasa forget about your stupid suicidal ass. Eren: Good luck trying, horse-face.

And then they're just silent for a while and then:

Eren: Mikasa will be alright, right? Jean: If there's anyone whose gonna be strong enough to keep remembering a shithead like you, it's Mikasa. Eren: I'm gonna kill you if you make her cry. Jean: Hah! As if you already haven't tried killing us just now, you suicidal maniac... but then again... I'm not man enough to do that to her. Eren: So, you finally admit you're not man enough, huh? ~ Usagi in truth falls in love very easily. Hes a bit of a hopless romantic, where he struggles is actually confessioning his love. Because of this first love.

~ Usagi's first love was Mariko from his home village/city. Who he lost to his childhood rival/friend. Which has always kind of sat with Usagi.

~Because of this Usagi has fallen in love a few times but has also had his heart broken a few times.

~ Usagi is a vegetarian maybe obvious since he is a rabbit after all but, he will panic if he ever eats meat by mistake somehow. Going so far as to purify himself with rituals and salts if need be till his guilt is washed away u_u

~ No matter the verse Usagi is very competitive and doesn't know how to stand down from a challenge. Even verbal ones.

~ Usagi when he is mad will do the mature thing and show his back to whoever pissed him off. He also puffs out his cheeks.

~ Usagi always tends to use people's full names with honorifics (Josielynn is an expectation)

~ Usagi may seem cool calm and collected but he has a pretty bad temper.

~ Usagi can purr uwu and umm if you want to hear it pet his ears, if he likes you he'll let you untie them even if it feels nice and will leave him a purring content bun uwu

~Usagi actually takes pride in his appearance and is good about him grooming habits

~Next To Leo I think Usagi would get along with Raph well because he does have his own anger issues. I could see them enjoying sparing

~ Usagi has no idea what Donnie is ever talking about but he is always impressed and does tell them this which likely compliments them or for rise Donnie hits his ego ~ Usagi always treats Mikey like a younger brother happy to give them his attention

~ Openly swears without care

~ Can sleep with his eyes open, and yes it is creepy to see sometimes he does it without realizing it. ~ Is introverted and a bit shy

~ After he tried to help Leonardo in (The episode I won't shut up about u_u ) he actually stopped talking to the turtle for a time because he felt he failed his friend and wasn't able to help them in the end (also cough cough rp wishlist thing here uwu cough cough)

~ actually has a cellphone given to him by the turtles. In his dimension, he keeps it off to save the battery its a very old model phone though XD

~ The more romantic of the three when it comes to being a partner.

~ Usagi is seen as being virtuous and perfect but he has been described as being possessed by a demon, and demonstrating a blood lust when it comes to fighting.

~ I like to think this is what Jei may like about Usagi, seeing how he himself is a demon. And this is why they broke up Jei brings out Usagi's 'worst side out but because he loves so strongly? he can't truly let go of them uwu

~ Usagi has a hard time letting others in, so used to his life of solitude

~Is the most adverse to PDA, won't even hold hands. Alone though with his partner? then he far more loving and softer. He just won't allow himself to be seen in public being soft even with an s/o.

~ Only two people can get Usagi to agree to pretty much anything Leo and Josielynn. ~Easily folds to puppy-dog eyes he knows it and those who use them on him know it too.

~Has let Josielynn put makeup him before

~ rabbits will rub thier cheeks against things to mark them with thier scent, and Usagi tends to nuzzle his cheek against Leo a lot. This is why Leo is always getting covered in white strands of fur XD. Usagi refuses to not nuzzle his boo uwu.

~ Isn't against PDA like holding hands and little kisses here and there, but will get flustered over nicknames or terms of endearment being used. Or a loudly more expressive display of love like s/o yelling out across a crowd they love him. It will fluster him.

~ despite this I’m pretty sure Usagi old publicly declare his love for Leo if Leo was being stupid enough to think there’s someone out here better for the rabbit. He will shout from the roof top if he has to! XD

~ The least subtle of the three, especially since he tends to express his emotions the most physically.

~ Normally he refers to Leo as Leonardo-san even after they date and get married uwu. But sometimes he'll call them Leo it's rare when he does so. He just respects Leo far too much

~ Usagi can be accused of having rose-colored glasses (having pink eyes don't help his case) because he tends to sing the praise of those he's close to over thier faults.

~ He will and is quick to call out Leo for being stupid at times though. Look he loves ad adores his boyfriend but also Leo you are an idiot but your his idiot uwu

~ Spoils the heck out of the baby

~ Usagi lost out on time with his own father so he tries to make sure to spend time with his own son.

Who did you last get angry with? I feel bad for saying this, but Reena. So a bit of backstory: Angela’s cousin got a K-pop album fully signed by all members thanks to her dad who is currently in Korea for a work engagement; Angela was excited and I was excited and we excitedly told Reena, only to receive the driest response from her saying she doesn’t care for people who have the right connections.

I immediately found it off and I messaged Angela privately, who turned out to be fuming lmao. We never said her cousin used her connections? The signed album had been a kind initiative by the dad’s interpreter and the interpreter alone since he happened to know the group, and that was all there is to it. The dad never directly asked for signatures and was even planning to fulfill my cousin’s merch wishlist separately. Anyway, we were thrown off by the remark and the two of us didn’t touch the chat until the following evening.

What is your weapon of choice? Idk. Happiness? I’m not a very violent person.

Would you hit a member of the opposite sex? Yes.

What is the latest you've ever woken up? The latest probably would’ve been 10:30 AM. This was back at the veeeeeeery start of the pandemic, when I completely wrecked my body clock what with all the free time I suddenly had.

Name a person you've been meaning to contact, but haven't? My aunt Claire, who recently asked me to join an audio experiment for an upcoming podcast episode she’s producing. I submitted my file early, but I was never able to reply to her followup email in which she asked me how my experience was. I keep saying to myself I’ll reply by the end of the day, but work keeps me busy and leaves me exhausted, so it’s easy to forget. I feel like shit about it but I hope she’s not the type to be dramatic about this kind of thing.

This would have to be during my ex’s 20th birthday when one of her friends suddenly had the batshit crazy idea that we take a shot of tequila every time an airplane passed over us. Unfortunately that area happened to be under an air route so there was a plane passing by literally every 120 seconds. We finished two bottles of tequila in no time and me, having the lowest alcohol tolerance out of everyone in that group, obviously suffered the most lmao.

Are you comfortable with your drinking and eating habits? Sure? I mean they’re my habits; I wouldn’t be keeping them up if I found them uncomfortable.

Do you enjoy candy and sweets? Uh not so much. I find desserts a little blah, and I can only have little of them at a time, i.e. one slice of cheesecake, one tiny cinnamon roll here and there, etc.

How many credit cards do you own? I don’t even have any haha but I have an app with their own credit feature that I refresh every month; I guess that kinda counts?

If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it? Pay off my sister’s remaining tuition and file a month-long leave to travel to a different continent.

Would you rather be rich or famous? Rich.

Would you accept a boring job if it meant that you would make megabucks? Old me definitely would’ve said yes to this, but I’ll have to change my mind a bit now because I think it would ultimately depend on the job. I don’t think I can take a job that will eventually make me go crazy because of how uneventful it is.

Pride

What's one thing that you have done that you're most proud of? Raise a dog in the last 13, almost 14 years. All of Kimi’s siblings have passed away now, so my grandma’s been super impressed with his long life. 

What's one thing you have done that your parents are most proud of? Get admitted to and graduate from the university they’ve always wanted me to attend. At least that’s what I think they’re proudest of in terms of my achievements.

What thing would you like to accomplish late in your life? Spend my retirement traveling. I don’t have to be consistently in a cruise or in a different country, but it would be cool to travel every once a few months.

Do you get annoyed by coming in second place? Yes. I would rather come in like, 8th than 2nd.

Have you ever entered a contest of skill, knowing you were the best? Hmm maybe not a contest, but when I enrolled in Korean lessons a few months ago I had a level of awareness that I might already be better than some of my classmates since I could already read Hangul and had *some* grasp of Korean grammar, whereas most were starting from scratch. But it didn’t make me sit back and relax haha; on the contrary it made me want to study harder so I can prove to myself that I actually do know Korean as much as I think I do. I ended up placing Top 1 in the class so at least I didn’t embarrass myself haha.

Have you ever cheated to get a better score? Yeah. I’m not proud of this.

What did you do today that you're proud of? It’s only 8:30 AM, but...I like that I washed my face? Self-care and all haha.

HOW I RUN MY BLOG.

SPEED: What is speed? I’d like to believe things are done as quickly as possible. Written word says that I’m pretty quick about things, 1-3 days tops. But if you’ve ever actually heard be vocalize my “speed” then well. :fingerguns: I’m a lazy piece of shit. So, that being said, depending on motivation levels that I currently possess, that reveals the speed in which I operate things here. But a good baseline is still 1-3 days.

REPLIES: For starters, I use thread tracker for all the threads I currently possess. And if I haven’t replied to something then I sincerely apologize. I am not ignoring you. I either fucked up tracking it (which I’ve done before) or something happened to the tracker itself. I know it had some issues recently. Can’t recall if it got fixed or not, but I know for a fact it fucked some of my replies up. 

On that note, if I have taken longer than seven (7) days to reply to something, hit me up. Let me know. Either the tracker or I fucked up and I need to be told. As stated above, I usually take 1-3 days to reply to things. So if it has been at least that long and you’re still waiting on me for something, chances are the above happened. 

You’d never know it by looking at the lengths of most (all?) my roleplays here, but I am a novella roleplayer at heart. Love me some details, bro. Setting scenes, getting the atmosphere just right, making sure you know for a fact what I’m doing at any given moment. Why? I dunno. That has a story in and of itself that will not be disclosed here. 

But don’t let that discourage you. I am adaptable and I can be flexible to what my partner needs/wants. Will I get carried away sometimes? Absolutely. Do you have to panic and try and match? Not at all. You do you. I’ll do me. We’ll work it out, don’t worry.

Starters are nice. However, they take time to write and think up. That being said, if I’m writing it, you best believe it's tailored to you specifically. Though I do enjoy at least a basic idea discussion beforehand so I know what direction I’m supposed to take this, I can wing that shit like no tomorrow. Again, not that anyone would know since I haven’t exactly, uh . . . Done it yet. Rest assured, I have the list. I will be doing something eventually.

I will admit that I like to spout out about how creative I am and shit. However, put me on the spot and I will go blank and make myself a fucking liar.

I want an excuse to be sadistic. My fucking name is literally sadistic-second and I cannot recall an opportunity in which I have gotten to display that true nature. I think I’ve hinted at it before? I know there are a couple shorts that I’ve written floating around. I think you can find them under “Asher writes” and uh . . . Witchy Wishlist (USA)

My name is Rquell. This is my fifth year participating in this event. But if you have…a rock, or a ritual, or a message that you think could lend back a little of my sense of self in the mean time, I would appreciate it.

I'm sorry if you've been asked this before, but your ADHD post really hit home with me. Does it ever get better? I've felt like that all my life, and I'm starting a course, not the first I've tried and bailed out of due to losing interest, and I'm..Scared, you know? I feel like half a person, or I'm acting with a limiter on my brain. Does anything help?

Does it get better? – Not on its own. Left alone, ADHD tends to aim itself head-first into a garbage can or depression, anxiety, and losing hope. However! YOU can get better! There IS hope! Don’t give up!

When I wrote that post – about feeling like a liminal space, walking through the world like I was a ghost, constantly forgetting and fogging out and losing my place in the world, feeling half-dissociated from losing so much time – that was my “normal” for a long while.

It’s not my normal now.

Nowadays, two years later, there’s still a little bit of fog. A little bit of forgetting. But day to day? It’s totally different. I made a ton of little changes, failed at a lot of ‘attempted habits’ and picked up others through repetition and reminders and not giving up.

So? What helps?

For me, most of it came from a place of forgiveness. Whenever I tried to get a new habit, and missed a day, or failed a step, or dropped the ball, just… forgive it. Whoops, that happened, let’s pick it up again and keep trying. Like dropping a grape when you’re making a fruit salad – don’t give up on the whole damn fruit salad, don’t weep and gnash your teeth and linger in self-disgust until everything is rotting around you - just accept that the grape is on the floor, and either wash it off and eat it, or toss it in the trash and attend the rest of the fruit.

Mentally, ‘Forgiveness’ is where you’ve got to dial in your brain. You’re basically teaching an old dog new tricks, so you’ve gotta be ok with the dog sometimes getting bored and walking away. Give it a pat and try teaching it again in a few hours, or tomorrow. It’s ok.

Actual Habits that help me:

EXERCISE! – Probably the most common thing people suggest and then you roll your eyes at, but holy shit people suggest it for a DAMN good reason. Tbh Pokemon Go helped this discovery, and then Podcasts helped it even more. I go for a walk a couple times a week, listening to podcasts or catching the ‘mons. It’s usually about a half-hour – not a lot of time compared to the day, but loads of time for your body. Getting your heart moving, getting good chemicals flooding your brain, it helps with maintaining focus, getting started on stuff, and just feeling good about yourself.

DIET! – Junk food is great. However, it’s AWFUL at keeping your brain functioning at top potential. I’d recommend doing your own research on good ADHD diets, but I personally found a lot of good in limiting carbs, and focusing my diet on meats and vegetables. (Plus cooking for myself means an easier time keeping to a budget)

SMALL CHANGES! – Big changes just never ‘stuck’ for me. I’d forget. Small decisions, made independently, obeyed for a week or two before adding another change – those build up and become big changes. For instance:

“I like this bowl. This is going to be my keys bowl, where I always put my keys when I get home. If I see keys not in the bowl, they go in the bowl!”

“I’m going to put my shoes by this shelf. This Is the shoe-shelf now. If I’m indoors my shoes better be on the shelf!”

“I’m going to be early to work. Every day this week I’m going to arrive 10 minutes early.”

“If I want something on Amazon, I’ll put it on my wishlist, not my shopping cart.”

“I have 2 credit cards. This one is for ESSENTIALS like real food and gas and fixing my car. This other one is for play junk, because it has a tiny credit limit. If I want a pile of felting wool, or a trilobite fossil, or an actual gecko skull, those are treats, and go on my play card.”

Each of those habits on its own is nbd. If I tried to do all of them at once, I’d probably fail. But! Nowadays, I’ve got a shoe shelf so the shoes are organized and not a tripping hazard, and I can always find my keys. My reckless spending is under control. One at a time, over a year, I made little changes. 

For the “Time Loss” deal, I made plans with people. That’s it.

I made plans to fill up my week, so I had other people to expect me to show up, and who’d be disappointed if I wasn’t there.

Monday nights is where I DM some D&D. This also means I need to set time aside each week to come up with maps and adventures and NPCs. 

Tuesday nights is writer’s group, where I visit with a lil club and we critique each other’s writing as we all strive to publish a novel. Tuesday lunch break at work, and right after work before writer’s group is when I panic and crank out a chunk of writing so I have something to bring. Either way, that’s still a couple hours each week for writing, even if it’s crammed into one day 😉

Wednesday night is for tidying. Put on a fun podcast and listen while I do dishes, fold laundry, sweep, etc. My brain is engaged with the podcast, while my hands are being productive with stuff I don’t really have to think about.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are totally free because that’s when my friends ask me to go places with them, and I’ll usually have plan offers cropping up. This Saturday is a Fast + Furious marathon! I’m hype.

Sunday afternoon is for volunteering, and cooking. Again, with the podcasts to occupy my brain, while my hands chop and season and do all that mindless junk. I do ‘Sunday Meal Prep’ which is where you cook a ton on Sunday, then allocate food into meal—sized portions to eat throughout the week. Basically making your own TV dinners. =P  - I don’t have to worry about cooking the rest of the week! - Then Sunday Night is usually when I prepare for DND ahahaa

Unfortunately I can’t tell you exactly what will fix YOUR particular problems. There are a TON of resources about good organization ideas, alarm tricks, etc.

My best advice is “Start Small. A hundred baby steps over a year gets you places.” And “Forgive your brain! Try again!”

Part of that forgiveness thing is just realizing that what works for other people, likely won’t work for you. Instead of ‘Just doing it’ - ADHD’ers often have to trick and manipulate ourselves into doing things at a sideways diagonal. So the thing gets DONE, even if it’s not done exactly the same path as other people do it, or in the same timeframe. As long as it gets done, it’s ok.

If you’re in school, maybe you need to join a study session, where other people will HOLD YOU to showing up, and actually studying, or actually doing homework in the same room. I certainly needed that. 

If you can’t manufacture executive functions, peer-pressure is fine.

Meme: Know the Mun through the Muse!

What inspired you to try/create that muse/s: I was so hyped when they finally revealed a new Saiyan that wasn’t a OP, boring-ass clone/God fucker. And it looked like he had lore! History lore with Universe 7! And when I heard Kaggyfilms (Alejandro Saab) was voicing him, I just had to jump in before anyone else could. He really got me back into rping since I was itching to roleplay DBZ badly. Shallot just had every little thing I like in my protagonists I just couldn’t resist. And I was surprised at how many people liked Shallot when he was just a sideblog to my DBZ OC.

What is inspiration for that muse/s: In-Game! Shallot of course. As well as various Shounen and video Ggame protagonists. Goku is in there as an inspiration as well as Yusuke Urumeshi and Cloud Strife. But I try to stick to in-game Shallot as much as I can, listening to all his sound bytes and stuff. 

Thread/AU that made you really happy: My Xenoverse AU with @saiyanandproud is really fun and got me to make my what-if training scenario with Shallot and Zahha. Also she’s the first real shippy thing I’ve done on Tumblr with Shallot. I also enjoy my weird AU with @friezx because he’s an idiot and drives the poor lizard to drink. I also love any of my threads with @lcrdbeerus, @stoplickingthingsweird, @radmanraditz / @nappainanotherdimension (BALD DAD BALD DAD) and @angelfccdie. What do you think about character’s design/how do you came up with this: SLAMS FISTS ON THE TABLE I LOVE SHALLOT’S DESIGN!! Papa Toriyama does it again and is horny on main while doin’ it. Again. He finally decides to cohesively color the tail the same color as his hair. Also the blues are nice, Toriyama always designs characters and colors them nicely. I really love the similar yet different design of the Ancient Sadala armor but giving him some more meat than the U6 Saiyans and bringing the tails back, because he’s obviously U7. 

What your muse teached you: You shape your own indentity and destiny. Don’t let the bad times keep you down, because the bad times are just times--that are bad. - Shallot probably but this is just dialogue from Animal Crossing. 

What is roleplay for you: A fun hobby and a creative outlet. Something to pass the time and explore the depth of characters that otherwise might not have any of don’t get any. And it shows your love and appreciation for the characters! It’s fun!

Today was a study day; it attempted to be a painting day, but I left my tablet “charging” and it turned out to not charge ONE WHIT.

I guess the engineering inside the portable charger device is a bit wiggly, so you have to jiggle the USB cord correctly and I did not do that. Tablet is charging via PC now, so it’s actually moving. I’ll be painting later on tonight when it’s at minimum 75%.

In the meantime, I’ve been writing notes, sketching pictures, and learning more about wild local edible plants. Planning a camping trip in the next month or so (yes I realise it’ll be cold) but also plan on taking a bike ride around town to locate some foraging material as well; test out this knowledge I’m cramming into my head.

This became longer than planned so if you want to know why I’m doing this and my thoughts, read on.

I have a Wildlife Wishlist I’ve started on Amazon, if anyone would like to help me start to get my kits together. These items are all going towards my overnight kit, everyday kit, and larger SHTF kits that I’m putting together in order to be more self-sufficient and survive in the wild should I need to. I’m moving north with my family in 5 years, and I’ve been told already that with my ‘foraging skills and ability to dress and cook animals [hwat i do not have that knowledge yet!??]’ according to my mom, I’ll be invaluable. Let’s make this perfectly clear: while I did go to college to become a butcher of meat, I have since become vegetarian for the most part, and have ZERO experience yet in dressing and cooking an animal. Ever. I’ve cut up chickens and fish in school but they were provided, already ready for food-prep.

However, that being said, I have been learning how to do such things, and plan on practicing these skills and honing them over the next 5 years, so I’m not a big waste of space when I get up North on this land that’s being purchased, and homes built upon.

So far in the last few days, I’ve learned about (and have taken notes and am going out tomorrow to ID) about 25 local edible plants that are in my area, how to eat them, how to use them if they are medicinal, and whereabouts they generally grow. I have learned how to properly skin and fillet a fish (pike have Y-bones!); I have learned how to build a fire with and without a lighter or firesteel; I have learned how to build a shelter in 3 different ways. I am confident that I will not starve to death nor dehydrate to the point of withering whilst in the wild, and I will be able to keep warm and parasite-free.

I’m actually rather excited to be able to do these things; it gives me skills that others might need to help them survive, and if an apocalypse comes, I’ll be able to look after myself out in the woods.

Hello everyone and happy Monday! I feel the need…the need for a book haul! 😂 This is part 1 of my Christmas book haul and these books were bought for me by my lovely sister @chrissireads I think Mother For Dinner must be one of the books I’m most excited for. I can’t remember now if I saw it on @owlbesatreading or @sandladysbooks page they are two top bookstagrammers (whom I now class as friends) and they always review a mixture of books that I would normally hear about over the rest of IG so I appreciate and love them so much for that!! 🥰 Anyway, I’m not sure if I can sum up what Mother For Dinner is about, I highly recommend you look it up for a more eloquent description than my mindless babble. It does involve cannibalism (of a mother who apparently said “Eat Me” on her death bed) but it proves difficult as Mother is 6ft 2, and weighs 450 pounds. Even divided between Seventh and his eleven brothers, that’s a lot of red meat! The author has also written Foreskin’s Lament if anyone is familiar with that? I’m not but I will be if this is any good! 🤣 Next up, Feminists Don’t Wear Pink and Other Lies. This is a selection of essays about feminism from a range of amazing women that I saw ages ago over on @laurenandthebooks book tube channel. In Three Daughters Of Eve, I’m continuing my Elif Shafak obsession and this was on my wishlist. It follows Peri, a married, wealthy and beautiful Turkish woman who is on her way to an opulent dinner party and is accosted by a beggar who tries to steal her handbag. A photo falls out and brings back a past and love Peri was trying to forget. Finally we have Outline by Rachel Cusk. I really need to start reading this author - I’ve heard so many good things and thought I would start with the Outline trilogy. This follows a female writer who goes to Athens to teach a writing course. She becomes the audience to a chain of narratives as the people she meets tell her the stories of their lives. I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. Have you read them, want to read them or have any now caught your eye? Parkasaurus is a tycoon game where you get to build a dinosaur park. The game comes with cute comic graphics, but it has the depth that one would expect from a typical park-building game – or will have them at some point. It just launched into Early Acess today (with a price of 19.99 €), so not every feature is in the game yet. The developers have a roadmap where you can see what’s still coming. You can also join their Discord server and get in touch with them and the community.

Speaking of the developers: The game studio, Washbear Studio, consists of two indie developers. If you don’t want to take the risk of buying an early access game from a small indie studio, wishlist the game and just watch what happens with the development.

Now that all of this has been said, let me tell you about my game experiences! I was a playtester before the game entered Early Access, so I’ve actually spent several hours playing the game already. Since I don’t know how much I can reveal about that, I will only show you screenshots that I made after Early Access started.

You can choose to play the “regular” game where you can get achievements or you can play a custom game with no achievements, but you can choose several things, e.g., if all science is unlocked already and if you want lots of money to build with! I tried this once, but generally prefer playing the regular game. I have also never had a problem with money so far. But more on that later.

You can also choose to skip the tutorial. In that case, you get a stegosaurus egg to start with (at least, I never got anything else at the beginning). If you play the tutorial, you get the choice between a triceratops or a stegosaurus egg. Since the stegosaurus happens to be my favourite dinosaur ever since grade 3 when we learned about dinosaurs, I am more than happy to just skip the tutorial by now and start with that one. As you can see, my poor Ottilie doesn’t like crowded places. This certainly makes building exhibits more interesting!

Fun fact: You can apparently change the colours and attributes of your dinosaurs when they’re still in their egg by adding fossils to them. Even the developers don’t know what causes which change, though. At least, that’s what one of the developers said in their Discord channel.

The game offers everything that you’d expect from a typical tycoon game. It lets you build exhibits which needs certain things like trees, water, a food trough. But you can also make it prettier by adding more of that. Then there is a variety of decorations for your park as well as food trucks, restrooms etc. for your visitors’ convenience. You earn money by selling entrance tickets and food, but these two are negligible. The huge chunk of money comes from exhibit donations! So don’t ever forget to put up a donation box next to each of your exhibits. I don’t know if more lead to more donations. I just prefer putting donation boxes every couple of metres because I like to pretend that if my visitors have to walk for longer than a dinosaur’s length, they will just not want to donate anything anymore.

There are several kinds of employees you need to hire. The veterinarian feeds your dinosaurs and makes sure they’re healthy and so on. The scientist gives you science which is important for the science tree as well as exploration. The security will tranquillize your dinos if they’re trying to escape, but also when you order them to. This is important if you want to relocate a dino! And then there are, of course, the janitors. The backbone of every good park. They make sure it’s running smoothly, that nothing smells and that the fences get repaired because your dinos will break them down! Your food trucks are self-sufficient. You buy them, place them down and never need to worry about them again.

Back to the scientists and the science tree: This tree is where you unlock decorations, food trucks etc. – and gems. Once unlocked, you can buy these gems in the town screen which are needed to get dino eggs. Other than that, you can send your scientists on exploration. In the exploration map, you then dig for fossils. The fossils together with the gem are needed to create a dino egg.

One more thing about food trucks: You unlock perks for them in the science tree. Some perks increase your visitors’ happiness, others increase their desire to buy some other kind of food or drink.

In the beginning, you can only go dig for ceratopsia and stegosauria. If you want another dino family, then you need to unlock them at the heart tree. At the end of each day, the game calculates how many happy dinosaurs you have in your park and you will get hearts based on that. With these, you unlock not only new dino families, but also upgrades and improvements for your exhibits like larger feeders and shelter buildings for your dinosaurs to sleep in. You also need to make sure that not only the basic needs like food are covered. Dinosaurs also want their privacy which needs to be balanced with the visitors’ “need” to watch dinosaurs – or else they’ll be unhappy and won’t donate their money.

There are currently 23 kinds of dinosaurs in the game. There are none that live in the water or fly, but these may get added in the future. The dinosaurs need different amounts of space depending on their size. They also need different biomes which you create by placing either grass, sand or mud, then adding different amounts of water, hills and plants, bushes and rocks.

One thing that did annoy me in the beginning was the lack of a proper pause. You can open the menu which stops the game, but then you can’t watch your park anymore. It is intended that you can’t build while pausing the game, though. In their Discord server, they said that they are thinking of adding a pause-function where you can just pause the game and watch your park, but it’s not certain yet. After playing the game for a couple of (in-game) days, I tend to agree that it’d not be a good idea to be able to pause the game and then build stuff. Everything you do, you do within one day and it feels like a very good flow to improve your park this way. At the end of each day, you will get the money you earned during the day. Sometimes, very rarely, you may run out of money before the end of the day because you built too much. It’s nice just leaning back and watching your busy park for a while then. At the end of the day, you’ll also be shown the stats window. You can browse and read and check that one for as long as you want, before you start the next day.

I am not really a fan of the silly costume items like hats and glasses, but I admit that I still used some. Especially the glasses on a large dino as they looked too good on him! What I love are the animations of the dinos… when you see a triceratops baby rolling on its back for fun, you can’t help but go “aawwww!”.

I haven’t yet found out if, for example, a triceratops and a stegosaurus can be put together into one exhibit. They both need the same biome and they don’t eat meat, so in theory, they could get along. But they’re also both herd animals and need to have others of the same species around. So putting all of them together would require a pretty huge exhibit.

I don’t think this game is particularly difficult, but it’s great fun! And it only just started Early Access. The science tree unlocks too fast. I forget it for a couple of minutes and can unlock several things in there, so that I don’t even remember what I just got. The heart tree is much nicer in that regard. It’s slow and I am looking forward to unlocking X or Y for a couple of (in-game) days. Money really isn’t difficult to get. I start explorations where you can also earn some extra money and then there’s the huge amount of donations. That still doesn’t mean that I can just build whatever I want! Yes, I get a lot of money fast, but not that much that I can just go and place exhibit after exhibit. I also think that it’ll be quite difficult trying to get all the dinos in your park, making sure that every one gets enough space and so on.  I can’t wait to get so far into the game that I can put a tyrannosaurus rex in! Although, as I said, I personally love the stegosaurus. I just somehow think that I “made” it in the world of dinopark owners once I can show my visitors at least one tyrannosaurus rex.

My current verdict is that if you don’t mind the risk of an early access game, but you love dinosaurs and tycoon games, then check out this game! There are also people streaming the game now and there are reviews coming in on Steam, so there’s plenty of places to get more information. I, personally, am curious to see where this game’s heading.

14th of May (Ordibehesht 24, Persian calendar). Some village outside of Shiraz, Iran. Don’t know what time.

Taurus. Explains why I’m so good at bullshitting.

- What is your earliest memory that you can remember?

Fuck if I know.

- Where was your childhood home? Was it more urban or rural?

My adoptive parents’ place was a little outside the city. I’d say it was kinda more semi-urban than suburban. No white picket fences or anything like that, just an old type of house that fit the five of us, somehow. I don’t know what type they’re called. Ranch?

- How was your childhood in general? Did your parents treat you well? Did you have a lot of friends?

It started off weird as fuck. It wasn’t easy to get me from my country and the details are blurry at best. It might be better if I don’t know the whole story. But after I came here to my family, it got better. My parents worked hard for me and when I started talking freely they couldn’t get me to shut up. So I got a lot of friends soon enough. Between the neighborhood kids and school kids, I had no shortage of people to play with.

- How was/is school? What is your favorite and least favorite subjects? What were your grades on average?

School was school. I didn’t get perfect marks and I didn’t want to – just to pass. High school I did the worst. They were being unnecessarily hard to “prepare” us for... what exactly? I found university easier than that. That was bullshit. But, like I said, I passed.

- Did you have a best friend growing up? What was their name? Are you still in touch?

I had some best friends. There were a whole bunch in the neighborhood and I had two at school. A few of them moved away or transferred to other schools and the ones that didn’t weren’t my friends anymore as the years passed. Our interests were no longer the same. That’s fine. Shit happens.

- Were you in any cliques?

No. I talked to everybody.

- Best childhood memory you can recall?

Playing outside, throwing rocks and chasing each other with sticks. It’s not really a memory, it’s a feeling.

- Worst childhood memory you can recall?

I got trapped in an elevator once. I decided to go off exploring on a school trip. Something malfunctioned on the way up. It felt like hours I was in there but it was probably only 30 minutes at most. That wasn’t fun.

- Name an event in your childhood that has shaped you into the person you are today

I sound like a broken record and I usually don’t bring it up, but being adopted tops the list. I don’t know what my life would be like if I stayed in Iran. Thank God I wasn’t born a girl.

- What is the dumbest thing you have ever done to impress someone? Were they impressed or was it all for naught?

I’ve done a lot of dumb shit but it’s rarely to impress anyone.

- Did you ever have any sweethearts or lovers? Do you have a boy/girlfriend?

I’ve had many lovers and a handful of exclusive relationships. I’m not spoken for now. ;)

- Are you a virgin?

Ha. Not since I was 14.

- Do you ever plan on getting married in your life? Do you want kids?

I think it’ll be a long time before either of those things happens.

- Would you rather have your own kids or adopt? How many kids would you want?

Ideally both. Being adopted myself, I was very lucky to get a home that treated me well. If I had any kids at all, maybe 4 total – biologically or otherwise.

- Do you think you'd be a protective parent or a relaxed parent?

Probably a mix of them.

- How would you prefer to pass away? Surrounded by loved ones and at peace, or while doing something heroic?

If anything, I wanna die quickly.

- Generally, how healthy are you? Do you get sick or injured easily or are you fit?

I’m healthy. I don’t get sick very often. My serotonin could probably use a boost.

- Have you ever been badly injured before?

A few times. The worst was from a fight in high school. Me and some other guy were arguing over some stupid shit in retrospect. We weren’t the least bit sober and when you’ve got two angry teens rolling, shit hits the fan quick. I’m only glad fists and knives were involved and not guns.

- What is the worst injury you have ever gotten? What was it and how did it happen? Were you ever close to death?

That fight. I still have a scar on my side from it.

I’ve skirted fate once or twice. I might not be so lucky the next time.

- How many times have you been to the hospital/doctor's?

Maybe 3 times? I don’t know, I don’t count them.

- Have you ever had a concussion or brain injury? Have you ever had amnesia?

I got a mild concussion from a fist fight. I’ve also blacked out at parties once or twice. I like staying conscious so I don’t go as hard as I used to.

- What was the worst illness you ever contacted? Do you know what it was? How long were you sick?

The clap. It’s long gone now. Moral of the story: Wrap it before you tap it.

- Ever had any extended hospital stays? What for?

No.

It’s fine. I’ve never done anything like it so it’s been a learning experience. The pay is good and I get flexibility. There’s better jobs out there I know but so far, I’ll stick it out with this one.

Lots. Did some short summer work through the years. For full time I was a restaurant host, bartender, construction worker, office aide, bookkeeper for a short stint, and now a talent consultant. 

- Most dangerous thing you have ever done?

Drug mixing + alcohol = you might die.

Shower sex is a close second.

- Do you consider yourself a more active person or a more relaxed person?

Active.

Be a little less temperamental.

It takes forever for me to give up on anything because I don’t like to give up.

That depends on the circumstances.

Groceries I get after work or later at night when the rush is gone. I get my clothing and home things whenever I need them.

I’ve got what I want right now.

I don’t care either way. I get what I need and go.

My car. Hell yeah it was worth it.

Ah... A nicer kind of casual.

My hobbies? Just watching movies or listening to music. Socializing. Running. Whatever I find interesting at the time I guess.

I’ve never been a big art fan. Leonid Afremov has great stuff, though.

- Do you like music? What is your favorite style of music?

I like rock music, but I’m also a basic bitch and listen to top 40.

No. I don’t like singing in shows. People get really angry when I say I don’t like different animated movies.

Elephants. That’s really it.

Burgundy/maroon, grey, and... I don’t know. White? Black? Yellow? As long as I look good in it.

Summer. I’ll take hot weather over cold. Cold’s got its benefits, though. As for snow, it’s great to look at and play in, but I’m paying someone else to clean that up.

Every taste has its place in my heart and stomach. 

- Can you cook at all?

Yeah I can cook. But for you? For a price.

Breaded chicken served with oven-roasted allumette-cut potatoes paired with a spiced tomato reduction sauce. I can make it, but I don’t use a recipe so it tastes a little different each time.

- What is your favorite fruit and vegetable?

I love nectarines.

- What is your favorite dessert? What is your favorite type of candy/treat?

Favorite dessert is cookie dough ice cream.

- What is the best thing you have ever had the opportunity to eat? What is the worst?

Pus-- I really love nectarines. The worst was liver. 

- Do you like to drink tea or coffee? Any favorite flavors?

I hate coffee, so I’ll always go for tea. I really like hibiscus tea but I’ll go for any kind of tea.

- Describe your sense of humor.

Situational. Bawdy. Dry.

- What is one thing you are justly proud of?

Where I am now financially. My job, where I live, the things I have. It took a long time to get here. Everything else in life is a work in progress.

- Do you have any religious beliefs? If not, have you ever been to a church service?

I don’t care what you do in your free time. I’ve only been to churches for weddings or funerals.

- What would you say is the worst thing someone has done to you? What is the meanest thing someone has ever said to you?

I had an ex-friend who almost blackmailed me into some serious crime. I’m not talking little drug runs, I mean stuff that’ll get you locked up for the rest of your life and then some. I had to get out of that before things got bad. Mean words on the other hand don’t mean anything to me. 

As for the absolute worst thing someone’s done to me, I’m not gonna talk about it.

I’d never hurt a fly. Honest.

Don’t have one. My old counselor suggested me to have one a long, long time ago but I thought it was stupid. I don’t think that as much now, but I still don’t want one.

- What is the most precious thing you own? Is it valuable at all?

A necklace with a little elephant pendant from my siblings. It has no market value but it’s priceless to me.
