Josephine didn't think that Teddy was clueless at all. In fact she was aware that he was quite intelligent. She never went into something without first having done her research, she was a professional after all. However he was really the only chance that she had at receiving any type of insider information. She was fully aware that they were feeding her bullshit... that was usually always the first step when the person that she sat down with knew the line of work that she was in. "Are the two of you close?" she questioned, steering it away from a business intensive conversation into one a little more casual, hoping to maybe lower his guard just a smidge.

Teddy would be right to assume that Josephine wasn't currently looking for anything romantic. She was far to invested in her career at the moment. However that didn't stop her from delving into flirtation here and there. There was no harm in it, especially if it eventually led to the dirt that she was looking for. It didn't hurt that they were also also attractive. "I'm just simply flattered that you would consider me a friend." She hummed. It was no secret that Teddy enjoyed wooing their company, Josephine had heard about this sort of behavior on more that one occasion. If this had been a potential partner the red flags that they were waving in her face would be enough to make her get up and walk away from the table. However it were those very red flags waving in the wind that kept her currently glued to her seat. "You know it's been a while since I've been wined and dined." she hummed "I might be inclined to stick around and see just how good of a taste that you have Teddy."
"Maybe," he replied coyly. "Or just being friendly. I treat my friends very well." They batted their eyes at her sardonically, as if it would make them seem like less of a walking red flag. He would love to make it a date, but he doubted that she was seriously thinking about dating at the moment. That didn't stop a flirtatious tone from seeping into his words; it was his nature, and well, she's gorgeous. "You'll find that I have an eye for the good stuff. I want my... friends to experience the same things." With any luck, Josephine would figure out sooner or later that Teddy didn't know the things she was chasing after. Poor girl. The least they could do was give her a good time.

Josephine couldn't help the small snort that escaped her nostrils at Teddy's comment about his brother not being alone during this time. She wasn't one to judge on that factor. She had never been a stickler for traditional monogamy. However the point that it began to edge over the questionable side was when all partners weren't involved in such a decision. "Are you asking me out on a date here Teddy?" Josephine questioned them, although there was a playful tone to her voice as she spoke the words. The fact that they had dangled the small tidbit of information at her wasn't addressed. If she jumped to hungrily at his words she would risk being peppered with more relevant information later on down the line.
"Of course. Family is family. They're irreplaceable," he said. In reality, they were far from close with most of their family; he simply didn't feel like going into detail about his family troubles with her. She seemed convinced that he was her key to cracking this case. "All this stuff about my kuya and embezzlement is making him pretty sad. But I've met his wife and his other girls on the side too, so I'm sure he's not alone through all of this," he remarked wryly. That was what Teddy's knowledge about their older brother was limited to, mostly. The personal shit. "Maybe I could tell you more if you meet me for dinner later?" he said. Maybe if she actually did take the time to get to know them, she'd figure out that they were probably not gonna help her bag her next journalist award. If those were a thing, anyway.
