33: Concept of home and family?

It actually took her a few months before she could connect Fritz to the concept of “home”, but thanks to his own hesitance in taking in a child combined with his honesty about how he’s trying to do his best, she began to warm up to him. Nothing says trustworthy like a parent who’s honest in that they don’t have all the answers but are willing to learn.

The two began to trust each other a lot over the years, to where Fritz recruited Bonnie to help him with certain projects, and she recruited Fritz to be her taste-tester in the kitchen. She was actually learning to build robots because she associated that with him, too.

Then she, uh, died.

While the animatronics at POPGOES Pizzeria won’t ever be the same as Fritz, she loves her new family to pieces. Uh. Literally.

They tend to treat her as a sort of leader, but even Popgoes will chide her if she’s being too reckless or trusting. Really, the animatronics give her a sense of reality where sometimes Fritz hadn’t, reminding her that while she is intelligent and has cool new powers, she’s still human, and humans aren’t perfect.

Yes, even if they’re undead humans.

1. what’s a grammar rule you find yourself breaking or ignoring a lot?

Everyone SAYS to avoid writing out accents, but like, I ignore that because I like writing it out and sounding it out. It makes me feel like I’m truly getting invested in that character, along with the hints of more subtler dialogue changes between muse to muse.

14. what do you do after you see a person has replied? do you read it immediately, or do you wait for it to show up on the dash? do you like it, draft it immediately, etc?

I read it immediately, then throw it into my drafts with a small note. Usually it’s something that my muse is thinking, but if I have time and not much muse, I may elaborate a bit more before just shoving it into my drafts. It really helps me look at it later and say, “okay, this is how we’re going about things”.

2. Do you have any controversial headcanons that go against what is generally accepted by the fandom? Do you incorporate this into writing your muse or keep it to yourself?

I think the idea of Bonnie loathing her dad for killing her or even having her around as a young adult doesn’t really make much sense. With the way Fritz talks about her, he’s definitely tried his best to make reparations to his own life, and the single picture we saw of them together looked rather peaceful.

What I’d find more accurate would be if Fritz brought her back only once and never again ---- which is the premise of mine and @tearsdivine‘s Unforgiven verse. However, our mainverse interactions take place on the idea that Fritz brought her back each day, although he didn’t make it permanent out of his own fear.

I just don’t think Fritz getting triggered by a mask of the thing that ripped off his frontal lobe is worth being damned, sorry.

3. What is something that was never addressed at all in the canon material that you have independently developed for your muse?

Basically a lot of Bonnie’s backstory is headcanoned out by my own hands, mostly taking certain cues from the phone calls into account; Fritz never talks about or is seen with a wife, yet has a child, so adoption is basically the best explanation for it, for example.

5. What is an aspect of your muse’s canon material or canon existence that you never had the opportunity to explore but really want to?

I definitely want to explore Bonnie being a more fearful creature, as in “intentionally scaring someone and giving them hell”. The closest I’ve gotten was her bashing @ialwayscomeback‘s Springtrap over the head, but I’d like to mess around with that and maybe get better at writing out those sorts of things.

6. What is the general opinion of your muse’s fandom about them? Do you agree with it?

There’s not a LOT of opinions about her, and I’ve even googled a bit to try finding some. There’s obviously a few things I disagree with from what I’ve seen, so I’ll give a rundown of them here.

2016 Bonnie isn’t really a big bad, especially in comparison to Simon or even 2015 Bonnie; she’s really just sort of there, and I think that she only attacks Strings because it happens to be the first thing she sees in front of her.

I don’t think Bonnie actually knew that Fritz had trauma relating to Toy Bonnie ---- like, at all. Fritz even said he wanted to find something to love in the name again, in an attempt to recover.

I think Fritz and Bonnie were actually very close, which would explain why Fritz even made the Blackrabbit in the first place, or why Popgoes would even begin building her each night.

She’s definitely not straight, I’ve rubbed my gay hands all over her, she’s a lesbian now.

            She brought the items and took the tokens, counting them silently as she continued speaking.

                              “Yeah, if you bring the items, I’ll have a                               look before I stock them! With how many                               weird things there are here, I’ll bet there’s                               stuff that might catch my eye. I’ll BUY the                               things I’d want to keep off you, though.”

"The ink, please." He'd murmur, giving over a /hefty/ 20 tokens rather than the asked 5. Why? Because he insulted her pride & rubbed salt in the wound by beating her in a challenge SHE made. He highly /doubted/ she'd accept the asking price, & something tells him that the cutout was a JAB at him specifically.

             Truthfully ---- any other person would have probably TAKEN those extra tokens, especially after the circumstances. However, Bonnie shoved the 15 tokens back at Sammy, shaking her head.

                      “Sure, but I can’t take your extra tokens.                       I’m sure you’ll need those for getting more                       for your own market.”

           She’d just been checking the bruise when she heard a voice speak ---- a familiar one, although she hadn’t actually spoken with Oliver Flynn before. The fact she had a HandUnit to keep track of everyone was rather useful!

                        “Yeah! It’s just a small bruise, no big.                                     Oliver, right?”

Well, I tend to read a lot! If you see me on my phone, there’s a high chance that I’m reading a ton of blogs, just absorbing information. There’s a lot to read about, and depending on my mood, it could be just about anything.

         Bonnie always enjoyed the snow.

         Being dead, of course, meant that it had no effect on her new body------and clothes wouldn’t have been a good idea either. Without a neck or her limbs being “attached” to her, they would’ve fallen off anyway. Besides, clothes would’ve gotten in the way for what she’d planned to do.

          It’d been about half an hour since Fritz had put her body together again for her to possess----which meant she had plenty of time to do as she planned the moment she’d seen the snow. She just had to be careful.

                  ( Hard not to be. She’d been practicing! )

           She floated through the front door, giving a glance around before patting together a snowball. As she was rolling the snowball on the ground to make it bigger, she spotted Fritz watching her through the window.

            The only pause she gave was to raise a finger to her mouth, as if telling him to keep quiet, before resuming her work.

2. What drew you to rping this character?

Honestly, I think it really began on Mangle, like two other muses did--those two being Lolbit and Golden Freddy. What did they all have in common? I was originally gonna have verses where Jenny Glade actually possessed the animatronic in question.

Like the previous two muses, I eventually decided to simply make a blog for Bonnie, bouncing headcanons and verse things with @inkdecay / @tearsdivine and building her up. And then I got attached! So that’s lovely. But also, save Bonnie.

7. What’s a negative thing about your character that you enjoy writing?

I really enjoy the fact that Bonnie struggles with her emotions and how to react--hitting rotting zombie bunnies aside, she doesn’t really express anger as actively outside of the unforgiven verse I have with Miya’s Fritz, nor does she really allow herself to mourn for her own death.

I actually kinda wanna thread about that, because lord knows she needs to take a moment to reflect on the things she’s missed.

8. What's a similarly you have with your character?

We’re both pretty analytical! Bonnie’s a more logical sort, while I’m more in the middle of the art/logic axis. Kinda weird, huh?

I mean, Bonnie’s not the first muse I’ve had with a more logical bent--see my good ol’ [ Donnie ] for example.

           She’d been adapting to her new companion ( a giant robot! how neat! it was like something out of a movie! ), but Bonnie found herself looking just about everywhere for the metal he needed to consume. Scraps, mostly, but this evening was pretty promising.

           ( An old motorcycle with a “for sale” sign on it. Who left those on the side of the road? She didn’t care. It worked. )

            She was about to leave to get more when the giant rumbled something--something that made her perk up and turn around. “T-thanks! I think I’m getting better at finding this stuff...”

☯ Is there a muse you've always wanted to play?

Idk, maybe Saffron? I always picture her to be a little shit, and it’d be nice to play a female character in that personality type rather than a male one for a change. Of course, Bonnie’s similar but ultimately good-hearted and prefers to make people laugh, while I picture Saffron’s main focus is getting herself some laughs instead.

But I can’t like. Bring it in myself to be mean unless it’s a clear villain character, and even then that’s hard for me. I always worry lel.

♧ Is there an RP partner(s) that you credit for becoming a better writer?

I won’t lie, there’s a couple--one of them ultimately turned out to be a terrible person anyway, but she’d pushed me to write para and grow to enjoy it. But she’s likely off Tumblr and getting herself into other drama, and good riddance to her.

Then there’s Queen, my bestie, who helped me enjoy writing out plots and expanding myself--though he also helped me become a better person. We actually watched Dawko’s POPGOES Arcade 2 stream last night, before I started rambling on. Oops.

And then there’s Miya ( @tearsdivine​ and @inkdecay​ ), one of my enablers even if she’d deny it. I’m very happy to be working alongside her with the CBKW verse, and it’s given me ideas to make a group verse of my own. But the latter’s a story for another day.

☽ Do you like writing angst? Why or why not?

I have a lot of mixed feelings about it, mostly because I’d often been used to give comfort to angst-prone yandere characters. I’m improving a lot, but I still feel bad about giving my characters problems that would be hard for others to fix.

I’m still working on that, mind you, but it’s difficult. Mostly because most people TEND to want their characters comforted and I hate to be a bother. Rip.

☹ What's a character that you refuse to play with? Why?

ANY Michelangelo or Raphael from TMNT who ISN’T played by a good friend of mine. The former tends to get picked up by people who leave or else shitty-ass abusers, and the latter is just so hard for people to get right that I just end up annoyed at their portrayals.

☺ What's a character that you desperately want your muse to play with? Why?

I want Bonnie to encounter a Funtime Freddy??? She’s not a very loud sort of person so I’m sure he’d overwhelm her a bit at first, but I can see those two learning to balance each other out and becoming good friends.
