hey pals. just checking in about my health battle so no one worries. news tomorrow re: whether i will be having an operation in two weeks (doctor said it’s a 90% possibility), so that’s a helpful update. i’ve decided 2023 is the year of me, including prioritising my mental and physical health, as well as just... self-care in general. i am very sick still, but after extensive testing, i’ve learned i’m not (immediately) dying, so i hope that helps clarify things! 

i feel i have a more positive outlook this week. nothing like a health crisis to put things into perspective and motivate change. no more letting life pass me by.

hi friends. i'm sitting my huge exam in an hour. v nervous. i have to get 105/150 questions right. here's hoping the exam theme is something i've geeked about over the years. i hate exams.

itp: i expose myself as a procrastinator. i have a major exam in two days that will determine whether or not i become generally registered as a psychologist in march 2023 so it’s a Pretty Big Deal. well, technically the exam is in less than two days. more like 40-ish hrs. anyway this is me telling y’all i’m not gonna be here because i need to study haha.

a hot take i’m starting to really think deeply about, but i always find the concept of ‘you’re so intimidating’ to be subtly ableist. i’ve noticed it’s usually directed towards my fellow neurodivergents, as if being upfront and genuine 24/7 somehow translates to ‘scary’ and ‘will judge me’. what you see is very much what you get when it comes to the audhd group. maybe it’s the autism talking, but i’ve never really understood why that would be a scary thing. don’t you want to know where you stand with your friends? it’s so confusing to find out that some people fake being friends with people. i don’t get it. if you don’t like someone, why don’t you just... not hang out?

anyway all this to say: hi, i’m kj. be my friend. i’m not scary unless you want to fake being my friend lmao. even then... i’m still not scary, because i likely won’t even notice you’re faking being my friend omg help kladshfaklsjdg
