✧ HER HIGHNESS, MY DIVINE ! ✧
Tumblr media
⋆⚡️— Pairings: jing yuan x fem! reader
⋆⚡️— Sypnosis: You are the oldest heir to the throne of the Xianzhou Luofu and as per tradition, you needed to find a spouse to rule the kingdom with, for diplomatic reasons. Jing Yuan seemed to oppose that.
⋆⚡️ — content: fem! reader, jealous jing yuan, and angst (slight Dan Feng x reader.)
⋆⚡️ — A/N: You and jing yuan had grown up together, he was assigned to you when the two of you were 17.
Also life has been very busy rn, so part two will happen but it'll take a while.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
“I will dispose of him for you,” Jing Yuan says, on his knees in front of you. His hands are rough, but so gentle as they clasp your hand.
“Your Highness, please, it is of little consequence to me. I would rot in prison if you asked me to.”
He doesn’t care that he’s been reduced to begging. He cannot stand to let you marry that man. You’re the heir of the Xianzhou Luofu, you should deserve someone better. As your knight, Jing Yuan only wants the best for you.
"There's no reason for you to do so, This is only marriage for the benefit of the kingdom, it is my duty. I will be fine, my dear knight."
Your silk-gloved hands covered his in a soothing manner.
"It will be okay." You whispered softly.
"As you wish, Your Highness,” Jing Yuan said, but he was clearly not at ease with your decision. He keeps his mouth shut and his hands at his sides.
You can't see the tension in his shoulders. He knows it’s not his place to interfere in the affairs of the empire, but he wants nothing more than to protect you from your impending marriage to the Imbibitor Lunae.
Jing Yuan would do anything for you.
You only have to ask.
"I may be blind to some things, my knight. But I'm not blind to the fact that you are concerned about this matter. Be at ease, my knight, there is no need for you to worry."
Your hand ruffled through his soft snowy hair at his kneeled position. Jing Yuan's whole being relaxes. Any tension he held within himself melts away like sunlight melting fresh snow in spring. Your touch is pure magic.
His knighthood is both an honor and his entire world. He has dedicated his life to your service... but your touch makes him forget about that for a moment. He is your best friend, first and foremost.
Your eyes crinkled as your eyebrows furrowed.
"Oh, My knight, My Jing Yuan. Please do not feel anguish, There's still a chance for you to serve another princess...maybe one of my sisters?"
Sighing softly, your gloved hands retract from his hair and rest on your lap.
Jing Yuan shakes his head firmly.
"I...I cannot serve any princess like I serve you," he tells you. "To serve anyone else would be an insult, Your Highness."
It is his duty to be a knight, you see, but it is more than that for Jing Yuan. You are his world. He cannot imagine spending the rest of his life serving another.
"I only want to serve you," he tells you softly.
"Now, don't be like that, my knight. I will not let you wallow in your sorrow because of me."
"I cannot help but feel sorrow, Your Highness," He explains. He takes a deep breath, trying to regain his composure.
"But you are right… I cannot let that get in the way of my duty to you. No matter what comes next, I will remain faithful to you."
He stands up, finally, and offers you a slight bow.
"My sword is yours to command, Your Highness."
Jing Yuan's expression is resolute.
"But, If I cannot serve you, I will serve no one," he says. "There is no other princess whose life matters to me. I am your loyal knight, and your loyal knight you will always have."
Jing Yuan will not be swayed by your wishes. He will not leave your side and serve some other princess.
You sighed, your frame shivering by the coldness of the royal hall, cold and empty.
"Stand, my knight." You whispered.
JIng Yuan stands up quickly.
"Yes, Your Highness."
He is standing at attention, ready to hear your next wish. Anything you want. He will follow all your orders, even if you wish to marry another, he will stand by your side.
It is his life's purpose. His raison d'etre.
"Please call upon my lady-in-waiting. I must prepare for dinner with Lord Dan Feng tonight."
You leaned against the armrest of the throne for support as you stood, the thick fur coat weighed heavily on your shoulders.
"And please....be on your best behavior, Jing Yuan."
"At once."
He left, and after a few moments, he returned.
Jing Yuan bowed deeply as he stepped in front of you.
"Is there anything else Your Highness requires?" He asks.
"I'll be heading to my chambers."
Your steps were light and quiet against the floor. The sleeves and the ends of your hanfu brushed against the smooth marble floor.
"Oh, and please tell the maids and chefs to get the dining hall ready for dinner at once."
You adjust the fur coat over yourself to protect your body from the cold and you let out a sigh.
You walk towards the doors of the throne room, feeling a heavy weight on your shoulder.
"It will be done, Your Highness," Jing Yuan replies. His voice is formal, but there is a clear pride and reverence in it. He serves you and is happy to be your knight.
Jing Yuan watches you as you walk down the length of the hall. Even as you leave his line of sight, your back is still straight, your steps proud, your beauty… unmatched.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Your maid and chefs have quickly turned the dining hall into a place worthy of Lord Dan Feng.
You are seated at the head of the grand table. With Jing Yuan lingering near the door, but still close to you. Servants bustle around the room in preparation for the main course of the evening, but your head chef serves you and Lord Dan Feng a meal of various dishes of meats, vegetables, seasonal desserts, and sweet rice wine.
"Lord Dan Feng, I hope you enjoy the meal."
With elegant movements and a well-mannered way of talking, You started the conversation.
Dan Feng, known as Imbibitor Lunae was a feared emperor in his kingdom. Rumors spread across nations, for his strict and slightly unjust way of ruling.
He had sharp ears, as well as teal horns. A son of a Vidyadhara indeed. But he was beautiful, with a tall, slender figure with black hair, fair skin, and agate green eyes, enhanced by the red eyeliner that underlined them.
He was draped in a green and gold hanfu, paired the the black fur that was once from a magnificent beast that was a disturbance from his kingdom the Scalegorge Waterscape.
"Your Royal Highness, the food in your kingdom is as exquisite as I remembered."
The two of you make polite small talk as you eat your meal. Dan Feng is the first to return to the main topic.
"Your Royal Highness," he asks, as your servants fill the two of you’s glasses. "What is your impression of our latest round of negotiations with your neighboring kingdom?"
"It has been well executed. Our kingdom's affairs will be settled at a much faster and smoother pace now."
Dan Feng nods, accepting your response.
"Indeed. Our kingdom's harmony will only advance from here onwards."
Dan Feng's face becomes serious. He puts his glass down.
"It is a great honor to be invited to your table." His voice is low and measured.
"But I would be a fool to not think about what this dinner could mean for the future." He takes a sip of his wine.
"We have talked business. Now, I would like to talk of union."
Jing Yuan's grip on the sheath of his blade tightened.
"Yes, I've been wanting to talk about that."
Your frame sat straighter, as you examined Dan Feng's expression, he had a sly smirk on his lips and his vibrant eyes looking into yours.
Your rose-colored lips curled into a soft smile after you took a sip from your wine.
"A marriage between our kingdoms would secure a political alliance the likes of which has not been seen by our nation in decades."
He leans closer towards you.
"I wish to have an empress, who is as radiant and wise as you. If our kingdom joined together, the entire world will tremble."
He reaches out to your hand and takes it into his own with a gentle touch.
Jing Yuan felt his jealousy coiling around his heart like a serpent.
Dan Feng has made a direct and deliberate show of his intentions. Not only is this dinner a display of his political strengths, it is also a declaration of his intent to marry you.
Jing Yuan watches this exchange from his station by the door. He cannot hide his jealousy… or his anger.
His eyes are fixed upon you, his princess, his every sense alert to any threats that may come your way.
"I am flattered, Your Grace. Thank you for your sweet words." You were flustered, trying to keep composure.
Dan Feng leans in closer. He seems to be studying you, but it does not feel like an inspection as he looks over your face, your hair, your hands. It feels like you may be the most important, most beautiful thing in the room.
Finally, he leans closer, your breath catches in your throat.
All you can hear are the quiet whispers of the servants, the crackling of the fire....
And Jing Yuan's armor clinking as he moves.
You notice Dan Feng's gaze on you, studying your face like someone who has already decided what they wants to do. He is direct and leaves no room for uncertainty. His words are simple, yet his message is made clear: he wants you to be his wife.
"Lord Dan Feng, I believe this would be inappropriate to do before marriage." You whispered, breathing quite heavily.
It was clear that you were put off by the close distance. The smell of the sickly sweet wine and the scent that Dan Feng had, made your head spin.
"My apologies for my forwardness, Your Highness," Dan Feng replies quickly. Jing Yuan can practically feel in insincerity of Dan Feng's words as his temper boils within him.
"I meant nothing by it."
Dan Feng is a gentleman when he wants to be. He pulls away, leaving the smallest bit of space between you. He is no longer trying to make physical contact.
He has learned to control his emotions and is once again calm and collected.
"The marriage is to be arranged soon," Dan Feng adds, "It will be of benefit to our people."
You nodded.
"It will, I hope this will bring prosperity to our kingdoms."
A small smile plays across Dan Feng's lips. His eyes remain on you.
"I see what my advisors have said is true. You are beautiful and wise."
His words are like poison to Jing Yuan's ears.
"Our unions will be fruitful. Together, we will lead this world into a new age."
His words are laced with honey. His gaze never breaks from yours.
Jing Yuan's jaw clenches.
The two of you continued eating in silence, enjoying the atmosphere as the royal bards were singing a tune. A few cups of wine later, Jing Yuan could see the color spreading across your cheeks, you were never a heavy drinker.
Dan Feng was eyeing you from across the table, like a prize that he needed to grab and keep for himself. The fact that you failed to notice it made Jing Yuan even more possessive.
Dan Feng leaned closer yet again, seemingly wanting to kiss you.
Jing Yuan couldn't stand it anymore. He stood next to you, a gentle and possessive gesture.
"Your Grace," His voice is gentle yet firm, "I believe that Her Highness said that close contact is not appropriate before marriage."
He said that with a mocking tone.
His eyes are focused on the man beside you, who has taken such liberties in his conduct with you, His princess. Dan Feng seems unfazed as he meets your knight's gaze. Jing Yuan wants to strangle this man for his audacity.
"Please refrain from doing anything to Her Highness, or I will-"
"Jing Yuan."
You said in a warning tone.
"At ease."
Jing Yuan snaps to attention immediately upon hearing your voice.
"Your Highness," he bows his head deeply.
He will not let a single thought in his mind or emotion escape his body unless you, his princess allow it.
He stares daggers at Dan Feng, but his expression remains neutral…. but any outside could see the burning, lethal gaze in his eyes. Jing Yuan will not dare say a single word out of turn again.
A servant refills Dan Feng's wine.
Dan Feng drinks deeply and grins wolfishly at your knight.
"I see that you care deeply for the Princess," he says with a sneer, looking over at Jing Yuan. "Your service to her is admirable."
Your Knight stares right back, expressionless.
"I hope you do not mind me being so close." Dan Feng leans towards you again, his green eyes fixed on your face. His voice is sweet, like honey, but the threat in his words is clear.
Jing Yuan does not answer.
He is clearly upset, angry, and jealous at the sight of this man. This man, who is trying to steal you from him.
He stands by your side, unmoving, trying his best to hide his emotions… not only from you but from himself.
His loyalty will never falter, but he wants this man to go away, Jing Yuan gets the impression that Dan Feng doesn't like him either.
The glint in Dan Feng's eyes irked him.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
"It's getting late, Lord Dan Feng. Would you like for my maids to prepare a room for you?"
Dan Feng smiles, and puts his glass down.
"Why, thank you, your Highness."
He rises from the table, and bows his head.
"Please, allow me to spend one more night as a guest of the Xianzhou Luofu. I will be on my way tomorrow before dawn."
He gives you a little wink, which you notice, and so does Jing Yuan, who can only give Dan Feng a death glare.
"Then, I'll let my maids see you to it."
Dan Feng is taken away to a guest bedroom.
Your knight stands next to you, looking out the large window into the darkness.
Finally, he clears his throat.
"Your Highness." He whispers. His body language is stiff, almost as if he wants his jealousy to be noticed. It is difficult for him to contain his emotions, but he cannot allow himself to say words that may bring harm to you.
"Could we speak in private?" He says quickly.
But that made you even more agitated.
"What happened back there?!"
Jing Yuan was surprised by the tone of your voice.
"He's trying to seduce you, Your Highness."
Jing Yuan is angry, his arms crossed, his body tense.
He's not sure how to process what has happened. His mind is spinning as he tries to remain calm and professional for your sake.
"He was being…inappropriate. If it were anyone else, I would have removed them from your presence myself."
He is talking as little as he can, in calming his anger.
"That doesn't mean you have to threaten him like that! Did you forget who he is?!" You whisper-shouted.
"His Grace is a guest, Your Highness."
Jing Yuan's face is full of conflicting emotions. He is worried for you, angry at Dan Feng, but even so, he does not want to risk harm upon to you or your kingdom by acting against Dan Feng.
He is used to keeping his emotions in check. But it's almost painful for him not to go over to Dan Feng and throw him out of your palace with his own two hands.
"I cannot allow some foreign prince to touch you so freely, to gaze at you with such lust and hunger…"
Jing Yuan's voice trails off.
"And he is going to be my wedded husband by contract! Do you know the consequences if you harmed him, our nations would go to war !" You exclaimed.
"Yes, I'm aware, Your Highness."
His face is blank, but his heart is full of turmoil.
He hates having to stand by as some foreign prince takes such liberties with the woman he loves.
But he cannot betray your trust. He will not defy your orders.
The knight turns back to you, eyes darting between your face, the floor, and the windows… anything to avoid looking at your face directly.
"Your Highness," Jing Yuan's voice is tense and formal. "May I ask why you are… entertaining his advances?
You sighed, your body seemed to deflate like a balloon.
"Because I thought that maybe, it would assure me that he wouldn't back out from this agreement."
Jing Yuan's face twitches in confusion.
"Your Highness, are you saying you… do not want this marriage?"
His tone and face are utterly blank, but you can tell that he is surprised by your admission.
He clears his throat, hoping to move this subject of conversation into more acceptable terrain.
"Why would he back out of this arrangement? This marriage would benefit both kingdoms, this is simply a political decision. You have no intention of… becoming close with him?"
"The kingdoms' safety is paramount and my hands are tied politically. But you must understand that… I need this marriage to happen. I cannot let the sacrifices of my parents go in vain."
You swiftly avoided his question.
There is a deep conflict in your heart. "I have to marry him. It's the only way this kingdom would survive."
"Little finch," you feel Jing Yuan's eyes burning into you. Your knight yearns to touch you, to kiss you, to hug you. His desire becomes more and more apparent. But he knows this is not the way. He is to be your knight, your protector, nothing more.
But the way you put it so clearly. Your marriage is necessary to keep your kingdom safe. He understands the importance of your duty… but even more so than that… He wants you to be happy and he knows this marriage is the opposite of happiness.
You chuckled sadly. "You haven't called me that in years."
"Just please, Jing Yuan. You have been my best friend since we were 17. Please understand how this means so much to me and this kingdom. It's my responsibility as the oldest heir."
You've never seen Jing Yuan so… sad before.
He's always been disciplined and has never let his emotions get the better of him. But this… this is hurting him greatly.
He takes a deep breath and then looks up at you.
"I will not stand in the way of your marriage, Your Princess."
He kneels before you and puts his head down, letting his hair fall forward. His expression was steady but his voice wasn't.
"The interests of the Kingdom come before my personal affairs."
"Personal affairs? Jing Yuan, what do you mean by that?"
Jing Yuan remains focused on looking at the ground, his voice clear as he answers.
"Little finch, I have fallen in love with you," he says, the words falling from his lips as if it were no big deal, and yet, he feels it weigh upon him like the heaviest burden.
"The thought of you… marrying Dan Feng hurts me greatly. It pains me that I cannot offer you my love and honor in place of his."
There is a slight pause before he continues.
"And yet, I will not interfere."
"Jing Yuan, I— How long have you felt like this?" You stuttered.
"It started as a childish crush," Jing Yuan answers promptly, not bothering to look up from the ground.
You have never seen him show this much emotion around you before. You didn't think he knew how.
"But as time went on, these feelings… this love has only ever grown stronger. I can't put it into words, Your Highness!"
He shakes his head slightly, ashamed of his emotions.
"I will always protect you, to care for you as your best friend, and yet…my love for you is too much to ignore."
"When I saw him touch you... when he took your hand and stared at you... when he winked at you," Jing Yuan takes a deep breath.
"It made my blood boil."
"I wish I could give you everything. I wish I could give you my heart."
This statement rings in your ears louder than anything else before.
It's an admission of love and an admission of how painful it is for him not to be your lover.
"A knight has no reason to fall in love with his Princess. It is a betrayal of everything I am. But I cannot deny it," his voice drops to almost a whisper, but the sheer amount of emotion behind them carries the words far.
"My divine princess, I love you." He whispered.
Your gaze shot up to look at him as those words escaped his mouth,
"You probably will not see me as anything more than your knight, but I cannot deny my feelings. I want you to be happy, and I will continue my duty, but... I wanted to confess my love for you before you married Dan Feng."
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Love.
The words burn in your ears as more and more emotion pours out of his words
He is not ashamed of his words. He does not hide his love from your eyes. He holds nothing back and tells you the truth.
Jing Yuan, your best friend loves you. He loves you so much.
And he will never be yours.
Your mind is spinning.
Does he think he has no chance with you? Or does he already know and is merely professing his love before it is too late?
"Jing Yuan." You let out a choked sob.
"I can't-"
Jing Yuan's heart breaks as you sob. He cannot help but place a hand on your shoulder.
The movement is gentle and careful, but you can feel his hand tremble slightly. His voice is soft, gentle even.
Pleading.
"My princess, you do not have to say anything. I just wanted… I just wanted to tell you how I felt before you married Dan Feng. That is all."
He looks down at the ground.
"I will not… I cannot be anything more, I know this. But I had to tell you…"
"…you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen…the most wonderful person I have ever met," Jing Yuan whispers.
"I will cherish my time as your knight, as your best friend, until you no longer need my protection."
He bows his head deeply, looking at the floor.
"Your happiness…is my happiness. For as long as you allow my services, I will offer them gladly. Even if you marry Dan Feng and have heirs, I will still guard you," The sliver-haired man says, his voice still filled with emotion.
"Jing Yuan…." You were devastated, you couldn't process this, everything was happening so fast.
He seems to brace himself for the worst— for an outcry from you, for a scream or a slap, anything negative.
But you simply take his hand.
You take your knight's hand without a word.
"I understand…" Jing Yuan says quietly.
"It was selfish of me to tell you this when it will only hurt you, but I do not regret my words. Your happiness is my mission… your joy is my joy, and your sorrows are my sorrows."
He is utterly loyal to you, and you alone.
"You should go, I need a moment to myself." You said quietly.
He stares at you… looking into your eyes. It's impossible for him to look away.
"As you wish," he whispers, releasing your hand.
He stands, turning to walk out—but he takes a second before he leaves.
"Please know that… regardless of how this marriage pans out," Jing Yuan's voice drops to a whisper, "I will always be here for you. Whenever you need me, a whisper of my name is enough."
With this, your knight leaves, allowing you to collect your thoughts.
He just hoped that you wouldn't hate him after this.

✧ WE'RE HERE FOR YOU ! ✧

⋆🌼🃏— Pairings: tighnari x gn! reader x cyno (can be read as platonic or romantic, pick your poison :0)
⋆🌼🃏— Sypnosis: You have been targeted by a group of Eremites for unknown reasons, so for your safety and the sake of their worries, you have been staying with Gandharva Ville. Here's how your life has become since then.
⋆🌼🃏— content: gn! reader, mentions of injury and just fluffy with light angst.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
It happened all so suddenly.
You were a Rtawahist researcher, one of the best of your years. You went on an expedition to the desert with a team of adventurers to research the sudden change of movement of the stars.
Along the way, you and your team had a couple of gnarly encounters with the same group of Eremites, which was weird, why are they so intent to capture your group? As far as you know, none of you had offended them or made them feel threatened.
Until they finally captured you while the others were sleeping.
"Come on, give us your research papers and your Mora, and we won't hurt your pretty little head, yeah?" One of them spoke with a gruff voice.
Your eyebrows furrowed.
"Archons! Why do you need my research paper so badly?! Like I understand if you wanted just my Mora, but my research papers??" You exclaimed.
"We don't have to give you our reasons, brat."
They stood up and stabbed the dagger they were holding into a crate next to you.
Thump.
"Just give us the damn papers before things get ugly, you hear me?!"
You shook your head stubbornly.
"No! I worked hard on those, I will not let you have it!" You yelled.
They let out a sound of annoyance.
"Fine, I'll just do this the hard way then." They lifted the dagger up again, it's chilling glint underneath the desert moon made you shiver.
But you'd rather die than let them have it.
You closed your eyes, preparing for a moment of pain that never came.
A groan of pain echoed in your ears, and the sound of cold metal clashing made you open your eyes.
Sliver hair filled your vision along with flashes of purple lightning. You were dazed by its familiarity as a thought crossed your mind.
Cyno.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
That was a week ago.
Cyno told you that your expedition had lasted an extra week than you wrote in your letters. He went looking for you out of concern, and he had found your team and they told him that you disappeared overnight and that the group of Eremites that were terrorizing you and them.
You thanked him with dinner and a couple of rounds of TCG, which you lost, miserably.
And you managed to hand over your research papers to your professor before the deadline.
A win-win situation one might think, right?
Wrong.
Because when you get home from running some errands—
—most of your house was burned down.
All your equipment, your research books are half burned into a crisp.
You felt yourself holding back a scream.
No, this is not the time for an emotional breakdown. You ran inside what's left of your home, as you took whatever you could save in it.
Photo albums, important documents, your boxes of trinkets, anything.
You groaned softly as you cursed yourself for getting a place further out in the city in the first place.
By the sevens, who could be this cruel to do this?!
After a couple of hours, you salvaged quite some stuff. But you were glad that the box was unscathed from the fire, it held all of your precious trinkets that you kept growing up. Everything that they had given you.
You dragged your stuff into a cart that you kept in your yard and headed towards the city. Along the way, you passed by a certain blonde haired traveller who helped you with your other stuff that you hadn't managed to fit into the cart.
When you arrived, you managed to get yourself a place to stay for a while. And without wasting any time, you reported what happened to the Matra. They told you that they will open an investigation as soon as possible. You thanked them as you went back to the place you were staying.
Moments later, you heard a knock on the door, and you opened to find a worried Tighnari and also a serious-looking Cyno.
"Hey, we heard what happened, are you okay?" Tighnari asked you, his ears twitching slightly.
You nodded quietly, too tired to give him a proper response.
"I have some leads to who's the culprit that burnt down your house." Cyno said sternly.
You looked up, curious to hear his answer.
"The group of Eremites that terrorized your team a week ago might have been the ones that did it." He said.
You sighed defeatedly.
"Honestly, I was dreading that. Archons, I have no idea why they are coming for me and my work." You sighed, slumping on the bed.
Tighnari approached you and placed a hand on your shoulder to comfort you.
"You should lay low for now. I suggest you find a safer place to stay, they may still be on the lookout for you." Cyno said softly, feeling quite sympathetic for you.
"You could stay with me? I'm sure Collei would be happy to see you again..?" Tighnari offered. His tail swished gently,as he looked at you with concern.
"I agree with Tighnari, you'll be safer staying with him." Cyno nodded.
"Meanwhile, I'll lead the investigation, I'll make sure the culprit will get the judgment they deserve." He added.
"Fine, I'll stay with 'nari. But only, until I repair my house." You said, sighing.
Both of them nodded in agreement, as you stood up to follow them to Gandharva Ville.
"Let me help you with your cart," Tighnari said, already holding on to it.
You thanked him, while Cyno informed the nearby Matra to gather information about the incident.
You hoped that this matter would be over soon.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
It's been a few weeks since then, whoever did the crime was insanely good at keeping their tracks clean, it even had the General Mahamatra stumped.
Yet, both Tighnari and Cyno did their best to help you take your mind off it, they didn't want to see you stress yourself sick.
You'd just been in your room, minding your own business, when you started to hear voices coming from the living room of Tighnari's house. You decided to go out to the living room to check out what was going on.
"Well, you see, it's funny because-" Cyno seemed to be explaining some dumb joke.
"Oh, archons! Stop with the terrible jokes already!" Tighnari groaned, but his ears perked up when he saw you enter the room. "Make him stop, please!"
"Cyno....please behave?" You whispered quietly, clearly exhausted from the house repairs the day before.
Cyno's playfully pouted, but he sighed and gave in to your gentle request.
"I suppose I can behave myself. For now, at least."
He smiles at you affectionately and then turns his gaze to Tighnari, whose eyebrows were furrowed.
"What's with that face, 'nari? Are you having a headache again?" You said worriedly, hastily approaching where he was sitting.
Tighnari nods slightly, a small frown appearing on his face. "Yes. It's been a long day. The headache seems to be getting worse every day. Archons, I wish they'd go away." He sighs quietly, his ear flicking down in displeasure as you move closer to him.
"Hmm....maybe you should take a break... I'll talk with the other rangers, Let me help you with the patrols for the week." You immediately offered, without even a stutter or hesitation.
Tighnari blinks his eyes in surprise at your eagerness to help. He shakes his head slightly, a small smile appearing on his face. A soft, affectionate gaze wanders over your face.
"No, no. I'll be alright. You know I'm tougher than I look," he tries to protest, but you can tell from his expression how much your offer means to him.
Cyno steps forward and places a hand on Tighnari's shoulder. "Come on, Tighnari. Take a break for once."
"See? Even the General Mahamatra agrees with me. So, just sit tight and rest. Let me handle the rest."
Tighnari sighs and looks up at you then at Cyno, then sighs again, giving in. A slight smile forms on his face as he looks back at you, clearly relieved.
"Alright, alright. I suppose I can take a few days off. But you better not overwork yourself," he relents, his tail flicking slightly.
Cyno smiles and nods affirmatively. "That's better. You look like you haven't slept in days," he comments as his hands gently brush back Tighnari's hair to examine his face.
"I promise I won't overwork myself. I can handle the patrols for a few days. Don't worry, 'nari. I'll be fine," You reassure him, offering a comforting smile.
Tighnari lets out a quiet sigh and closes his eyes, clearly exhausted, his ears slumping down a little.
"Alright, alright. I trust you. Just..." He reaches out and takes your hand, squeezing it gently. "Take care of yourself, okay?" Cyno watches the scene with a fond smile and adds. "Yeah, don't do anything reckless. We both know how you get when you don't take proper breaks."
"It's not really that bad, guys! I promise." You whined playfully, before patting Tighnari's shoulder.
"Let me go make you some herbal tea. I've acquired some new medicinal tea from Liyue from my pen pal." You said excitedly.
Tighnari smiles faintly as you pat his shoulder, his ears twitching slightly in appreciation.
"Thank you. That would be very helpful," he says quietly, clearly grateful for your offer.
Cyno, meanwhile, gives you a slightly teasing smile. "Yeah, sure. And maybe don't forget to take care of yourself, okay? We don't want you getting sick, too. You're not immune to everything either," he adds, his tone playful and affectionate.
"Says you, Mr. "Oh no, I have fallen ill because I refuse to wear proper clothing during cold desert nights!" Seriously, Cyno. You should let me knit you a blanket or something." You huffed as you started brewing the tea, filling the small space with a light jasmine scent.
Cyno groans quietly, a little embarrassed that you've brought up the incident again. His arms crossed defensively, but he can't help but chuckle.
"I'm fine with my clothes, thank you very much," he responds, a hint of defensiveness in his voice. "Besides, I like the feel of the desert air against my skin. Even the cold is refreshing." Tighnari, meanwhile, chuckles softly at the exchange, his ears perking up in amusement.
He raises an eyebrow at Cyno, his tone lighthearted.
"You're always insisting that your immune to everything, but look at you. You're just as susceptible as the rest of us," he points out, a fond smile on his face.
Cyno sighs and chuckles, unable to argue with that.
"Fine, fine. I see your point. But... I still enjoy the cold air."
You chuckled, shaking your head.
"Sit down, Cyno. I'm bringing the tea over." You called out.
Cyno sighs and obeys, flopping down on the couch next to Tighnari. His lips curled as he heard your lighthearted chuckle.
"I guess you're right," he admits, leaning back on the couch and stretching his arms. "But I'll still take my chances with the desert air. As long as you brew me some tea to help me when I get sick." Tighnari glances over at you, amusement is evident in his expression.
"The things I'd do for the both of you."
Cyno chuckles, a fond smile spreading across his face.
"And we appreciate it. We really do," he reassures you.
Tighnari nods in agreement, his expression softening. "You always take such good care of us, even when we're too stubborn to admit it," he adds, his tail flicking gently against the couch.
Cyno glances at Tighnari, then back at you, a grin spreading on his face.
"Yeah, you're practically a miracle worker. Always knowing when we need a helping hand, even when we're too proud to ask for it."
Tighnari laughs quietly and nods in agreement. "We're lucky to have you around. Who else would put up with our nonsense?"
"You're being too sweet, just drink the tea already!" You said softly, flushing slightly.
They both chuckled at your reaction.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
"This is delicious. You've outdone yourself this time," Cyno compliments you.
Tighnari nods in agreement, his expression softening as he takes a sip. "Yes, it's so soothing. You're quite a talented herbal tea brewer."
"Thanks, I'm just gonna leave you two to it. I have an appointment with Kaveh soon, so I need to prepare some supplies."
Cyno raises an eyebrow, a teasing smirk spreading across his face.
"Kaveh, huh? What are you two getting up to?"
He takes another sip of tea, his tone lighthearted and playful.
"It's not what you think. I'm just going over my house plans with him. I'm repairing my house because a part of it got burned down, remember? The arson case a few weeks ago? The reason why I've been staying with Tighnari since then?"
Cyno's teasing expression quickly turns to one of concern.
"Right, of course. My apologies for teasing. I remember that case. How's the repairs going?" he asks you.
Tighnari nods in agreement and his ears perk up slightly as well. "Yeah, I hope you're not having too much trouble with the rebuilding," he adds, a hint of worry evident in his voice.
"Well, between having to acquire materials and trying to not break my back fixing it, I'd say it's going smoothly."
"I just hope that my savings are enough to cover for it. The prices of materials are insane." You sighed.
"But Kaveh has been helping out with finding affordable yet quality materials, so I think the repair would go as smoothly as I hope it to be," You reassured.
Cyno nods gently, relief is evident in his expression.
"Sounds like you're in good hands. Kaveh always has a knack for finding good deals. And as for your back, maybe you should take some breaks. Can't be overworking yourself with all this rebuilding," he teases lightly, a gentle smirk on his face.
"I know, I know, thank the Seven, Alhaitham offered to help me with my work, even if I didn't want him to, I could have perfectly done it myself,"
Tighnari nods in agreement, his ears perking up.
"Well, Alhaitham is somewhat of a difficult person to get along with sometimes, but I can't deny that he's quite considerate and helpful if the situation calls for it. Maybe he just wanted to return the favor you extended to him when you helped him in his research." He pauses for a moment, his expression softening. "But you should still take care of yourself. Don't overwork yourself, okay?" He adds, giving you a gentle look.
"I will. I'm going to head out now, so I'll see you tonight, 'nari and you later, Cyno." You said softly and waved the two of them goodbye.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
As you leave Gandharva Ville to meet up with Kaveh, Cyno, and Tighnari continue to chat in the living room over tea. Cyno shares a few jokes with Tighnari, who rolls his eyes but secretly smiles at the playful banter.
As night falls, the house feels a little emptier without your presence. Despite their easy-going demeanors, Cyno and Tighnari can't help but feel a slight sense of worry and longing for your return.
When you finally return home, the apartment is quiet. Cyno and Tighnari are just lounging around the living room. When they hear you enter, they perk their ears up slightly and look over at you. A wave of relief washes over both of them, and they can't help but smile at the sight of you.
Cyno greets you cheerfully as usual, while Tighnari gives you a gentle smile and a tail flick.
"Sorry I'm late, I had to run away from some angry group of Fungi on my way here." You said, catching your breath.
Cyno raises an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued.
"Angry Fungi? Sounds like quite the adventure. How many were there?" He asks, a serious glint in his eyes.
"A whole group of five huge Fungi. " You answered him.
Tighnari's expression softens and his ears twitch slightly. "Are you alright? Did you get hurt at all?"
You scratched your head bashfully, before looking at Tighnari.
"I might've....gotten a massive bruise on my back...."
Tighnari's expression immediately turns to one of concern upon hearing about your injury.
"Oh no... Let me see that bruise," he requests gently, taking a step closer to examine your back.
"I-I'm fine! I swear, 'nari!" You said hurriedly. taking a couple steps back.
"One of the Fungi headbutted me from the back while I was busy dodging the other ones."
Cyno raises an eyebrow at your insistence that you're fine.
"Headbutted, huh? You should be more careful. We can't afford to have you getting injured. Especially when we're not around to look after you," he remarks, his expression serious for a moment before his usual smile returns.
Tighnari's ears twitch, his concern still evident. "Regardless, let me just take a quick look to ease my worry," he insists gently.
"Fine, fine, just let me change into looser clothing first." You muttered.
Cyno nods in agreement, acknowledging your need for comfort.
"Alright, take your time. We'll be here when you're ready," he reassures you, his ear flicking a little. Tighnari gives you a reassuring smile and nods as well. "Yeah, no need to rush. Just take the time you need to change and then we can check your back. We want to make sure you're alright."
You quickly changed, and soon, Tighnari carefully guided you to the couch.
"How is it? Is it really bad?"
Tighnari examines your back, his fingers gently ghosting over the massive bruise that has formed there.
He winces slightly when he sees the extent of the injury but tries to maintain a calm demeanor. "It's a large bruise. You're going to have to take it easy for a few days to avoid aggravating it. I'll prepare some herbs to make a salve that can help speed up the healing process a little. In the meantime, try to avoid any unnecessary movement, okay?"
You sighed yet again. "I guess I have to postpone the repairs again....." You muttered under your breath.
Cyno overhears your muttered comment and his expression softens, sympathetic to your plight. He puts a comforting hand on your shoulder.
"Hey, it's alright. There's no rush. Your health comes first. We can figure out a way to handle the repairs later when you're feeling better."
Tighnari gives a nod of agreement and gently pats your back. "Yes, take it easy. Let us handle the repairs for now. You just focus on resting and getting better."
Cyno and Tighnari help you get comfortable on the couch, bringing you pillows and blankets to make sure you're as relaxed as possible.
Tighnari prepares a soothing salve to help reduce the pain and inflammation in your back, while Cyno grabs a cold pack from the freezer to press against the bruise.
They sit with you, keeping you company and making sure you're feeling alright. They chat with you softly, making lighthearted jokes and sharing stories to keep your mind off your pain.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Eventually, Tighnari returns with the salve he prepared, and he carefully applies it to your back with gentle but firm movements.
As the salve works its magic, slowly reducing the pain and swelling, Cyno gives you a smile and speaks in a teasing tone.
"You know, maybe this is just what you needed. A little break to rest and relax. Maybe a few days off might not be so bad after all."
"But I was supposed to help you so you could take a break, 'nari!" You whined quietly, pouting.
Tighnari smiles at your pouting expression, amused by your stubbornness.
"I appreciate the thought, but sometimes life has other plans. Right now, the most important thing is for you to focus on recovering. Once you're back on your feet, you can help us all you want."
Cyno rolls his eyes playfully and adds in a joking tone. "Yeah, and speaking of being back on your feet, maybe you should try picking on smaller targets next time instead of those huge Fungi."
"It wasn't my fault they came on me in the first place, I don't even know why they were so irritated in the first place!"
Tighnari chuckles softly, trying to imagine you fending off a horde of angry Fungi.
"Fungi can be picky sometimes. And they tend to guard their territory fiercely. Perhaps you accidentally wandered into their turf without realizing it, and they took action accordingly."
"I was walking down the designated path to Gandharva Ville! The Fungi weren't there when I first passed by on my way to Sumeru City!!"
Cyno bursts out laughing upon hearing your playful defense.
"Ah, well, perhaps those particular Fungi took a sudden detour and decided to set up camp on your usual path without warning. Those mischievous creatures can be quite sneaky, you know," he teases.
"Whatever..." You groaned, voice muffled by your face planting into the pillow.
Tighnari grins at your reaction and gently pats your head.
"Don't be upset. We're just teasing. We know you did your best." He turns to look at Cyno, a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. "Cyno, why don't you make it up to them with one of your jokes? That'll surely lift their spirits."
"Please don't, can't you see I suffered enough? You guys are bullying me, I swear."
"Oh, don't worry, we're not bullies. We just believe in the healing power of laughter!" Cyno says proudly.
He takes a moment to think, then grins wider. "Hey, what do you call a snake with no legs?"
"What is it?" You groaned.
"An adder. Get it? Because it's a snake, and it has been 'added' without legs? Haha!" He laughs at his own joke, clearly pleased with himself. Tighnari hides a small chuckle with a cough. They both look at you, eagerly awaiting your reaction.
"I hate you guys...."
Cyno laughs even harder at your response, clearly enjoying your reaction to his terrible pun.
"Oh, come onnnn. Don't be like that. You know you love my sense of humor." He says with a smirk.
Tighnari can't help but smile at your groaning. He reaches out to pat your head softly, trying to soothe you.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
As the evening progresses, Cyno and Tighnari keep up the light banter, sharing jokes and stories to keep your spirits up.
Slowly, you start to relax, the stress from your injury fading away as their company puts you at ease. The room is filled with laughter, and a comforting atmosphere settles in. Cyno tells another terrible pun, and even though you try your best to maintain a scowl, you can't help but let out a small chuckle.
Tighnari notices your slight smile and grins at Cyno, silently signaling him that their efforts are working. They exchange a sly, knowing look, grateful that you are starting to feel better.
As the night drags on, the room gradually falls silent as you doze off into a contented, healing slumber. Even after you fall asleep, Cyno and Tighnari take turns watching over you, making sure you're as comfortable as possible. They can't help but share a warm, fond smile, appreciating the peace and tranquility of the moment.
Your healing progresses in the following days, Cyno and Tighnari take turns caring for you. Tighnari diligently prepares meals and soothing herbs to help with your recovery, and Cyno occasionally comes by to offer his own unique way of making you feel better – by sharing yet another one of his terrible puns.
Despite your protests, Cyno's jokes never fail to crack a dumb smile on your face, and you find yourself secretly looking forward to his visits, just to hear those awful puns.
Eventually, your injury starts to heal as the days turn into weeks. Your pain and discomfort gradually fade away, and the bruise on your back begins to yellow before finally disappearing completely.
Tighnari examines your back once again, his fingers lightly tracing the area where the bruise used to be, before nodding in satisfaction.
"Yup, it appears that you have fully recovered. The injury has healed nicely, and there are no signs of pain or discomfort left."
Just as you're about to express your relief and thanks, Cyno chimes in with a dramatic sigh.
"Ah, it's a shame that you've recovered so quickly. I was already working on a new series of puns to keep the cheer going."
Cyno remarks, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
Tighnari rolls his eyes but can't help but smile at Cyno's antics.
"Oh yes, because your terrible puns were an absolute cure for all our ailments. We simply would be miserable without them," Tighnari retorts, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Cyno pouts, feigning offense at Tighnari's words. "Hey, they weren't that bad! And besides, I had a whole new stockpile ready to go."
"Maybe, some other time, Cyno." You giggled.
"Spoil sport," Cyno grumbles, crossing his arms in mock disappointment, but a smile creeps onto his face at your laugh.
Tighnari lets out a lighthearted chuckle, shaking his head at Cyno's antics. They both sit quietly for a moment, enjoying the light banter and the relief of your full recovery.
You felt relief knowing that no matter what, come rain or shine, both of them would go to the ends of Tevyat for you as you would do for them as well.
But for now, let's just enjoy the tranquility of the moment, shall we?

✧EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LOVE✧
Tumblr media
⋆🌊— Pairings: neuvillette x fem! reader
⋆🌊— Sypnosis: spending an day with your dear husband neuvillette.
⋆🌊 — content: fem! reader, slightly spicy and just fluffy all around.
*🌊 — A/N: lord I love this man so much and I really think that he would be the type of husband to call his wife, "wife." Idk maybe it's just me lol.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
You were cleaning the living room, you woke up an hour ago to make breakfast for Neuvillette and yourself.
You were humming to yourself before a sound of the door opening interrupted your musings.
"That scent.”
Neuvillette approaches, his tall frame large enough to fill your entire field of vision.
With a gentle touch, he cupped your cheek and leans in, playfully nuzzling the top of your hair. "Were you using my shampoo, wife?”
He couldn’t deny it was nice. You smelled like him, his inner dragon was pleased. He pressed a kiss to your forehead before pulling you closer, his fingers delicately combing through your soft hair.
You used his shampoo when you took a shower last night, Neuvillette stayed in his office for a while longer, plus, you haven't properly had time with him the whole week and you missed him dearly so you decided to use his shampoo so that you could smell like him.
"But it smells really good.....and it makes my hair soft. I'll stop using it if you want me too?"
You said softly, leaning into his touch.
"No, no." He chuckled, his voice deep & velvety, wrapping one arm around your shoulders. He pulled you in close and gently tilted your chin toward him.
"I'm just pointing it out. I like how you smell like me, it makes me happy." he said, offering you a small smile
In that moment, you noticed how he seemed more loving and open, a stark contrast to the reserved persona he usually projected in court.
You smiled in reply.
"Hmm.. but I think I know something that smells even better." he smiled, seemingly Innocent. But you knew that look in his eyes.
He retracted his hand that was stroking your hair and reached up with both hands, holding your face, and brought his cheek to yours, leaning in as if he wanted to whisper something into your ear.
Before you could ask what he wanted to say, however, his lips were pressing against your ear, lightly nipping at it, followed by a few nibbles. They stayed there for a moment, before he pulled away with a slight chuckle.
"You taste just as good." he whispered.
"How is that relevant to smelling good?!" You whined, flustered.
You weren't expecting him to be like this at all, usually he's more.... subtle with his affection towards you, due to the lack of knowledge of human intimacy.
You suspect a certain man with a short black and grey hair to be the culprit.
Neuvillette chuckled, his hand cupping your face, his thumb brushing against your cheek.
"You're so cute." he whispered, leaning in again, this time his warm lips landing directly on yours.
The kiss wasn't deep or passionate, though it was filled with affection. An apology for being away for so long.
He pulled away after a moment, his eyes full of adoration. He reached up to tuck a piece of your hair behind your ear in a gesture of fondness.
"I think I want to taste you again, it has been a while, no? "
"I'm sorry for being so busy lately, mon chérie." he said sadly, yet his gaze falling to your neck as a low murmur escaped him.
In that instance, he seemed a bit more than the Chief Justice of Fontaine, as if the position had only served to restrain his true, more amorous persona.
He was now your husband, lover and your complete half.
"Let me make it up to you, wife." he whispered, his voice low, but his tone laced with a slight playful edge.
He lightly tilted his head downward, brushing your hair back to reveal your neck which became the focus of his kisses. His breaths were warm against your skin, his mouth pressed directly against it as he kissed and nibbled at the side of your neck.
"You taste better than I remembered." he whispered, his lips trailing lower before he placed another light kiss on the skin just below your collarbone.
Your mind was starting to fade into a state of pleasure but then a thought resurfaced.
"But my love, I have errands to do today."
You said with a sigh, you totally forgot about your plans today.
You ran a well-known boutique in Fontaine, and on some days, you'd stop by and see how your business was going, listening to your staff's reports or complaints about some customers or certain products sales.
"Is that so?" Neuvillette tilted his head back up to meet your gaze, now accompanied by a twinkle in his eyes.
"I'm not going to be denied my duty this time." He said, his tone was serious, he really meant it when he said that he was going to make it up to you.
You shuddered slightly at the memories of the last time you denied his "duty". You swear you could still feel it.
"Is something wrong, love?" Neuvillette softly grinned, his eyes shifting from your lips to your cheeks.
He knew that look. The slight tremble in your voice, the way your cheeks seemed to flush slightly under his attentions, the way you bit your lower lip as if to distract yourself in an attempt to control the arousal he knew you felt.
"Oh, mon chérie ..." he leaned in, his lips grazing your jaw and cheek as he spoke. "I can see you're enjoying this."
"My love....I really need to do my errands today, today is a very important day." You said softly, stroking his white locks gently.
You felt guilty for denying him.
"Very important, are they?" Neuvillette chuckled, his eyes wandering down to your neck.
He brought his lips to your skin again, kissing you once more, before leaning in close and whispering in your ear.
"Well...if you say that...." he said, his tone teasing as he brushed his fingertips down your cheek.
"Perhaps.. I should join you on these errands.." he continued, his lips again returning to your neck. "Surely you wouldn't mind the company..?"
"You're not going to work today?" You asked, eyes widened slightly. He rarely takes the day off, so this was a surprise to you.
Neuvillette nipped at your skin once more, his eyes darting back up to meet yours.
"I think I can afford to take a day away from my duties. Besides, I wouldn't want to leave you alone for too long."
His fingers lightly brushed your thigh, his free hand still running through your hair, the affection in his eyes apparent.
"It's not every day I get to spend time with my beloved wife." He said, eyes filled with so much adoration. You felt your heart beat faster.
After a moment, Neuvillette took a few steps back, his hands still running through your hair the whole time.
He smiled sweetly at your flustered expression, his tone teasing.
"And what, exactly are these errands, my love? You know I enjoy helping you with these things." he chuckled, he opted to caress your head instead, like you were a cat.
"Stocking up on our groceries, checking in on my store....hmm, what else...." You trailed off, eyebrows furrowed as you try to remember what else that you had planned on doing.
Neuvillette was smiling the whole time as he watched you think. His gaze softens, he truly misses you, he couldn't stop thinking about your well-being every time he pulls an all nighter at work. He felt like he had failed as your partner then.
And he'll try his hardest to make it up to you.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
"Let us freshen up then we can go out." You said, giving Neuvillette a peck on the cheek before heading to the bathroom.
"I'll join you. I want to make sure you're dressed in something that properly highlights your beauty." he said, following you.
You already stripped and were heading in the shower before Neuvillette stopped you by gently wrapping his arms around your waist
"But, I'd like to get a proper look at that figure now that you're so close.." He thought.
He leaned down, brushing his lips along your bare shoulder as he smiled up at you. "You're so beautiful...would you be a dear and turn around for me."
You giggled as you turned. "You are an insatiable man, my love, how unbecoming of you, husband~" You teased.
Neuvillette chuckled, his lips coming to kiss your neck again. He let his lips linger against your skin, his fingers slowly trailing along your waist.
"Is that supposed to be a bad thing, my love? Can't a man appreciate his beloved's beauty?" he teased back.
"You're too irresistible, mon chéire."
As if to prove his point, he leaned down once more, placing an intimate nip just under the curve of your neck.
Neuvillette began nibbling at that same spot, his breath becoming warm as he blew gently against it, before his mouth trailed down to your ear once more.
“How does that feel, my love? Can I do that to other parts of your body..?” he whispered.
His free hand continued to gently explore your body, leaving your skin covered in light kisses and nibbles. “I can't wait to find out how other parts of you taste." he said, growling slightly.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
After both of you had freshened up a bit and gotten ready to go out, Neuvillette slipped on his suit, his white hair still slightly damp.
He straightened the collar of his jacket, seeming a bit more refined than he had when he first stepped out of bed. His face, though still a bit flushed from their morning fun, returned to his usual stern expression, the faintest smile playing across his lips.
“Ready, my love?” he asked as he took your hand, his eyes shifting to meet your own.
"Almost, would you be a dear and help me with this necklace?" You gestured to the necklace he bought for you during your anniversary.
"Of course, my love." Neuvillette took the necklace in one of his hands, his fingers finding the clasp that held it together.
He gave a little tug, which made the necklace unclasp and fall open in his other hand. He smiled sweetly at you as he brought the necklace to your neck, resting it along your bare skin.
"There we go..." he said softly, his fingertips resting lightly on your shoulders, he kissed the nape of neck.
"You look beautiful, my dear."
"Thank you, dear." You said, giving Neuvillette a kiss on the cheek.
Neuvillette returned your cheek kiss, his lips lingering for a moment on your skin. His free hand gently brushed through your hair, the gesture affectionate and tender.
"Let's be off to your errands, shall we?" he asked, as he opened the door for you to walk through. You nodded and the both of you exited the house.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Neuvillette held your hand the whole time, his head tilted down toward yours. Even though you did have things to do, he was in no hurry to finish them.
His steps were slow and relaxed, and at one point he brought you in close and pulled you against him, letting his arm run along your waist as he did so.
"You're so precious, my love." he whispered, nuzzling against your neck.
"Husband....we're in public, what if a reporter sees us?" You whispered, panicking slightly.
Neuvillette chuckled softly when you mentioned that you were in public.
"I know, my love..." he said with a sly chuckle. "But I have a sudden urge to kiss my wife.." He leaned down, his lips meeting yours in a delicate kiss before he pulled away and glanced at you with a teasing smile.
"Besides, it's just a little show of affection between husband and wife.. right?" he asked teasingly.
You hid your face on his shoulder in embarrassment.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
You made it to the store where you needed to restock on some groceries, and Neuvillette let go of your hand to help you shop. He took hold of the basket and was the one to grab the items you needed.
Once you were done, he took you by the hand once more, his other hand lightly squeezing your hip. You both managed to complete your errands, and as promised, Neuvillette made sure to show you some affection.
"Shall we be off to the other errand?" he asked playfully, gently kissing you on the cheek.
The both you headed towards the direction of your boutique, you hummed a tune you picked up from a nearby café.
You stopped by your boutique, giving it a quick check to make sure it was all in order. There wasn't much work you needed to do in there, as you had hired staff to make sure everything was running smoothly.
Neuvillette held onto your hand the whole time, gently gripping you as he nuzzled his face against your neck. "I love you." he softly whispered.
You whispered a soft "I love you too" back.
You both then headed back to the direction of your apartment, and as you walked, Neuvillette's hand shifted so it was draped across your shoulder.
The evening was pleasant, and it felt even better with Neuvillette by your side.

✧ BLOOD SUCKER ! ✧
Tumblr media
⋆🍷— pairings: vamp! wriothesley x fem! vampire hunter! reader
⋆🍷— Sypnosis: You are Fontaine's biggest vampire hunter (Van Helsing vibes) and your dream is to eliminate all vampires in Fontaine. You were trying to lure one of the oldest existing vampires, Wriothesley at the Musée du Vampirisme until someone approached you. Confrontation ensues.
⋆🍷 — content: fem! reader, angst, spicy but NOT SMUT‼️‼️ (OOC wriothesley?)
⋆🍷 — A/N: In favor of the spooky szn, I give you this!! (Also Reader has a history of some sort with Wriothesley. Also sorry if this is too rushed and doesn't make sense, I was trying to finish this before Halloween lol!!)
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
You wandered through the marble halls of the Musée du Vampirisme, marveling at the exquisite artworks on display. You paused in front of a particularly alluring painting, captivated by the man depicted in it. It was a portrait of a man, in his late 20s or so, his eyes held a icy stare piercing through at you with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine.
"Quite a captivating piece, isn't it darling?" The voice was deep and smooth. The voice had a mysterious tone that both intrigued and unnerved you.
A tone you knew all too well.
Wriothesley.
Your crazy plan worked! But now what?
"It is. It's really truly one of a kind." You said, before realizing what he said.
Your eyes widened, cheeks ablaze with embarrassment.
The nerve of this-
"Did you just call me darling?!"
"I did indeed, my dear." He replied, gaze still fixed on the painting before us. His demeanor was still casual, the mystery of his character only making him more annoying.
"I don't see a problem with that, do you?"
You huffed in annoyance, Wriothesley could see the feistiness in your spirit, the burning life in you.
And he loved every second of it.
"You know, darling, your fiery temper only makes you more desirable." He turned his attention to you, his gaze never leaving yours. "Don't you agree? I would assume that you are quite the passionate lady." Wriothesley took a step closer to you, unable to resist your innocent charm.
"And you, my lady, do you know who the man in the painting is?"
Oh? He's playing coy with you now, well, only two can play that game.
"A Night Child, or in human terms, a vampire."
You explained.
"This painting specifically was painted in the 1800s. The peak of vampirism, where vampire activity was at its highest."
"Very impressive darling. You know your history." Wriothesley nodded approvingly. "It's not every day I meet a lady so knowledgeable about that time period." My gaze became more intense, and I could see the way it affected you.
"Would you like to know something else about that painting, my dear?"
"Hm?" You made a noise of curiosity. Wriothesley leaned closer to you, his gaze still locked on your frame. "That painting is, in fact, a painting of myself."
He gave you a satisfied smile, allowing the truth to slowly sink into your mind. He knew how he had one-upped you, that he was leading this game, he loved the way your expressions changed as you went through different emotions: confusion, shock, disbelief-
As soon as it happened, your expression turned blank, emotionless.
"Oh, I know." You chuckled with a toothy grin, eyes shining with familiarity.
"Did you enjoy my expressions, Monsieur?"
Wriothesley's eyes narrowed, slightly upset that you were poking fun at him so brazenly. You noticed how his eyebrows furrowed a little, and you smirked, knowing that you'd won.
But it's okay, he'll have to make sure that you get what you deserve later.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
You cleared your throat, and you saw how his eyes darted quickly to the movement.
"Hello, Wriothesley. Fancy seeing you in the museum after closing hours, no?"
A faint smile curled up on Wriothesley's face.
"Hello, my sweet. It's been a while since we last met, no? You must be that hunter the humans speak of. I've heard rumors about you; your abilities, your tactics, the number of vampires you have slain over the last few years."
He paused, admiring the way you carried yourself so far.
"That's quite a reputation you have created for yourself. It's a rare sight, that determination of yours. I don't know if it's by sheer luck or recklessness that kept you alive."
"Hah! It seems like my reputation precedes me!" You grinned wolfishly.
Wriothesley swears he could feel the waves of pride escaping you, it was adorable actually.
He chuckled, still admiring your strong sense of self.
"Indeed it does. It seems like you enjoy this little game of ours, but let me tell you, my dear. You have no idea what you're going up against. I am a vampire of the ancient world, my powers have been cultivated for centuries. There truly is nothing like me; no other vampire in this world can match me."
His voice still carried a hint of amusement, you could tell that he enjoyed this little game of dominance with you.
"And I have taken down many powerful vampires Fontaine could offer!" You kept your gaze dead straight on his, the confident grin still plastered on your face.
"So, what are you doing here? Any ill intentions on that head of yours?" You asked.
"I don't have any ill intentions, my dear. I simply came here to appreciate some old-world artwork. You know, humans were a lot more artistically inclined back then."
He took a deep breath, in a bit of a teasing tone. "And I must say, you look quite fascinating too, my lady. Your beauty, combined with your fierce attitude...quite the combination, to say the least."
"Hmm...your sweet talk will never work on me this time, Wriothesley."
You said, enjoying the conflicted look in his eyes.
Wriothesley's grin widened, the confidence in his words growing even larger.
"And who's to say I want it to work on you. If anything, I enjoy my reputation being challenged by an outstanding young lady such as yourself..."
He took a deeper breath, slowly approaching you. "But, what if I want to taste your beauty, your fierce attitude. What if I simply want to...devour you?"
"I wouldn't want to try that if I were you. I've got my reputation for a reason, you know? Fastest kills in this business."
"Is that a challenge? I don't see how a little woman like you could ever overpower me. Just look at me...I stand before you as a vampire lord. No one can possibly resist me."
His hand ran through his hair, and I looked deep into your brown eyes. "But I also cannot deny that I am quite intrigued by this little game of ours. It has been so long since I last saw a mortal that could match me."
You gave him a cocky grin and took a step closer, so now you're basically toe to toe with him.
His gaze locked on yours. The smell of your sweet blood was intoxicating, and I felt my fangs itching to pierce your skin, to taste all of you.
"Tell me, my dear, would you mind if…I take a little bite?"
He leaned in closer to you, lips just inches from your neck. Wriothesley's voice was whisper-quiet as if asking you for a forbidden delight.
The glint of silver under your coat shines brightly underneath the museum's lightning. The sharp blades lined up against your belt prepared and enchanted.
"Don't try it, Wriothesley."
Wriothesley let his tongue dance across his fangs, words becoming an intimate whisper in your ears.
"...Please...I beg of you."
He was completely and utterly drunk by your beauty. Your blood, it was calling his name. He wanted it too badly, he'd been fighting these urges for so long, surely he couldn't wait any longer
"...I want to take a little bite." His breath was heavy, and his voice became more desperate...hungry even.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
"I will sink this blade into your heart if you try."
You growled, challenging him.
Wriothesley couldn't help but be impressed by your determination. A human being who was always prepared; always ready for a fight. You were different from the rest, the ones who cower in fear at the sight of a vampire.
"I see that, my dear. I see that. But I also see this...what is it? A necklace, an amulet, around your neck."
His gaze was locked on the glinting, pure silver you wore. It was too obvious to ignore. "Tell me, what does it do?"
"It doesn't concern you."
Your bluntness and self-assurance intrigued him even further. "Oh, but you see, my dear...it does concern me. I am the one who has to deal with it, after all.
He took another step closer to you, hand reached out towards the necklace. His other hand remained ready to catch the dagger if you decided to strike.
You moved at a speed, pulling out a vial from the many pockets of your coat, the speed of it even stunned him.
Before he could say something, you had already crushed the vial in your hand.
The scent of your blood fills the air and Wriothesley gets distracted from it. It was sweet but in a mellow smell, a little flowery. The same scent that he used to remember.
His face contorted as he could smell something else than your blood that corrupted the scent that he craved.
Holy water.
Wriothesley snarled, his gaze went back up to you, and his eyes narrowed. His fangs bared and his eyes let out a dim glow.
"No human in his entire life had ever been able to pull off something like that." Wriothesley thought.
He could smell the faint scent of the holy water wafting through the air, and his body tensed up. He was too distracted by the beauty of your neck, by the lure of your sweet blood. That moment of distraction almost cost him his life.
"My goodness, my lady. You're quite dangerous." He whispered, his fangs glinting in the dim light. "How did you obtain this?"
"I have my ways, connections to the church and all." You shrugged, your hands dripping with your own blood. The holy water slightly stung your wounds.
Wriothesley took a deep breath, the smell of your blood still lingering in the air.
"You're smart to come prepared. Too many hunters have come at me unprepared, cocky even." He laughed.
"I had to give you credit. You seemed to be the only hunter that could possibly match me. Your beauty combined with your intelligence made your presence even more alluring..."
His grin grew even wider, fangs gleaming with more intensity. The thought of your lovely blood trickling down his throat...the image alone sent shivers down his spine.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
"Now tell me, Wriothesley, why were you following me here?"
The two of you stood facing each other, one hand bloody and another one clenching into a fist as an act of self-control.
Time to put the plan into action.
His eyes widened in surprise. "I wasn't following you! I merely happened to be here for a different purpose." He took a few deep breaths to keep himself calm. He couldn't give you any hint of the real reason he was here.
"I came here to appreciate the artwork, as I have previously stated."
He lied.
"And I must say, what a coincidence that you happen to be here as well. But do tell…why is it exactly that you also happen to be here, my dear?" Wriothesley's eyes narrowed. He had already suspected it, but he still wanted to hear it from your mouth.
"I was trying to see if you were following me." You said, it was kind of the truth yet also a lie.
You were trying to lure him here.
A faint, sly grin appeared across Wriothesley's lips. "You really think I am dumb enough to follow you around, without even hiding my presence?"
He took a step closer to you, his face dangerously close to yours. The scent of your blood intoxicated him, and it was becoming more difficult to control himself. "I am not the type of vampire to just follow you around without you knowing."
He moved his lips closer to your neck, voice was barely a whisper. "After all, I'm much more subtle."
"But let me ask you something, my dear. What if I really was stalking you from the shadows? Would that have scared you or made you feel more…exhilarated?"
He paused, his warm breath lingering on your neck. A faint smile curled up on his lips. "It certainly feels like the latter in this moment. The thought of a vampire stalking your every move, with you never knowing. Is that why you're so tempted to give yourself to me, my dear?"
"I never said that I would give myself up to you!" You teased, turning to face the other side.
"No, but the way that your voice trembles when you speak to me, and the way your body shakes ever so slightly in my presence." He tilted his head.
"You may be brave, my little dove. But your heartbeat has been racing in your chest since the moment you first saw me. And there is a reason for that."
He stepped closer to you, my gaze fixated on your skin. "We both know your secret desires deep in your, my sweet child,"
Your cheeks burned with embarrassment, and your temper flared up again.
"Lies. I feel no such thing."
You whispered harshly, stepping away from Wriothesley.
"Tell me, my dear. Why do you fight me? Don't you want the bliss of surrender? I can provide you with everything you've ever longed for."
"There's nothing you can provide me that could sway me from my path!" You exclaimed.
How dare he-
Wriothesley laughed, closing his eyes for a moment. He savored your boldness, your stubbornness, your courage.
"Is that so?" He said, in a teasing tone. "That path won't be for much longer if you get in the way of my plans."
His eyes opened, and he locked them onto yours. "Tell me, if you could have anything you wanted, what would it be? Money? Power? Fame? I can provide all those things if you just abandon that hunter path of yours."
He chuckled silently. He was still enjoying our little game. The moment of tension, of uncertainty, of danger. It was such an intoxicating feeling. He loved seeing the way you stood your ground, but also loved knowing that your will could be broken.
"But what if I don't want those things?" You asked, your voice quiet.
"I already have everything I need, it would be selfish for me to ask for more."
Wriothesley didn't understand your response at all. Was it stubbornness, or was it courage? Perhaps both.
"Selfish? What an odd reply coming from my little dove."
"Why would it be selfish to ask for everything your heart desires?" He said in a whisper.
"What if I'm the person who can grant you that wish?" He offered.
You chuckled, before cocking your head to the side.
"I don't need anything from you, but, you want something from me."
Wriothesley chuckled, unable to deny the truth of your words. "You're very perceptive. Yes, I do want something from you." He paused, thinking of the exact wording I wanted to use. "I don't just want something. I crave something you have inside you."
His fangs were sharp, and my lips were so close to your skin. "And that, my little dove, is why I've come here."
"Come on, won't you let me have a taste of your irresistible blood?"
"I'd kill you if you tried." You said in a low voice, eyes glinting with a dangerous glow.
Wriothesley smirked. "Kill me how exactly? With this tiny silver dagger you carry?"
He glanced down for a moment, then looked back up at you. His face was filled with amusement. "If you can manage to pierce my heart, then by all means… I'll welcome the sweet release of death."
Wriothesley was not cocky. nor arrogant. Death is the only thing that ever truly frightened him. And yet…the sight of you holding a silver dagger to his throat while looking into his eyes with that determination of yours, was truly enticing.
"But before that happens, I want to savor your beauty. I want to feast my eyes on your delicious neck, I want to have you right here in my arms." He moved my face even closer to yours, until your lips were centimeters away from each other.
"Imagine you and I together. A mere human girl, and an immortal vampire." His voice was filled with passion and seduction.
"Together."
The two of you were so close from each other, so close from being united in a sensual embrace.
But then you pushed yourself away from him.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Wriothesley let out a faint growl as you jerked your body away from him. The smell of your fear and panic excited him. He wanted you to give in to your desire. He wanted you to throw that dagger away and surrender yourself to him.
"C'mon, my little dove. Isn't this what you want? Isn't this what your heart has been longing for?" He reached for you again. "Come to me, little one.."
"N-No! I will not fall for your tricks again—"
You rushed towards the doors, breathing hard. Puffs of steam escaped as your warm breath met the cold air of the museum.
He watched you run towards the doors, his hungry gaze fixed on your body. The shape of your hips, the curves of your legs, the soft texture of your skin. He wanted to have you, and he wanted it now.
Quickly, Wriothesley moved over to you. He grabbed your wrist and forced you to halt. He moved his face closer to yours, once more. "Now why are you running away my dear? Do you not want this as badly as I do?"
He leaned in, just centimeters away from your neck, right above your pulse point.
Wriothesley couldn't help but savor this moment. The look of fear and doubt on your face, the sweet temptation of your slender neck. He didn't want to hurt you, but his urges were so difficult to control.
"But what's life without a little danger, my sweet dove?" He whispered, his lips lingering just above your skin.
"Just a slight taste…I promise I won't even break your precious skin…" He panted slightly, his cold breath sent shivers down your spine.
You managed to slice him with the silver blade on his arm as he was distracted by the scent of your blood under your skin.
"Let go of me!" You growled.
Wriothesley's eyes widened, and he quickly let go of your wrist. "My my, my little dove." His voice was dripping with amusement. The smell of your blood, the taste of your fear, was more arousing than it ever was before.
"I'll be honest with you, my dear. You're an incredibly fascinating human being. You've impressed me with your boldness, your courage, your resilience."
He held up his bloodied arm, the smell of blood lingering in the air. "And now that you've hurt me…I want you even more."
He ran my tongue against the cut, the taste of blood only serving to heighten the desire he already felt.
How he wanted to drain you dry, to let you slowly dissolve inside of him. The way your eyes fluttered in fear, the way you trembled before him…
"Tell me, my dear. Are you sure death was still your preferred option?" He whispered. "After all, death means an end. And I can offer you an eternity of pleasure if you just came with me…"
"I swear, I will kill you. I'm letting you off easy here, let me go, or I'll make sure you won't see the light of the moon anymore." You threatened him.
This wasn't going the way you planned at all.
He chuckled, my eyes sparkling with sick and twisted joy. "Such boldness, my little dove. You're right, this does turn me on."
He moved even closer until your faces were just a few inches apart. "A mortal like yourself has the gall to threaten me…an ancient vampire." His hands slid up your arms, his cold, undead skin against yours made your heart skip a beat. "Do you know how adorable that is, my dear?"
Wriothesley couldn't help but let out a faint growl. There was something different about you than the other hunters he had encountered before. You weren't the type to back down. You had fought back even when everyone else would've been terrified and run away. Your courage was alluring, your spirit intoxicating.
"Your fearlessness. Your determination. It arouses me, my little dove. I want more." He moved one of his hands to your cheek, caressing your skin with his thumb.
"Please don't resist, my dear. You'll only make this more addicting for me."
"I understand perfectly, my sweet dove. But do you understand what happens if you don't give in to me?"
He was staring deep into your eyes with his hypnotic gaze. "The longer you resist me, the harder I will find it to control my urges. And if your luck runs out, there will be no one to save you from me. Not even your precious Archon."
"Surely you want to survive, my sweet dove. Just let me have a taste."
You hesitated.
But then you had an impulsive idea, and it could just work. Maybe your plans on killing him might work after all.
Yet now, you felt as if you couldn't bring yourself to kill him.
You loved him still.
So you settled for the next option, capturing him.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
"Fine." You whispered, pretending to give in.
He smirked as you finally gave in, and your lips came in contact with his. The taste of your lips, the warmth of your breath. The softness of your skin. It was all so addictive.
He parted your lips, allowing his tongue to slip inside. He had let out a deep moan, body trembling with pleasure. Wriothesley didn't want this moment to end, he didn't want you to escape.
The taste of your blood was on his tongue, and he had never wanted anything else more than to drain you dry.
The two of you remained like that for a few moments, your tongues locking in a playful battle for dominance.
After what seemed like hours, Wriothesley pulled away, breathing heavily. Your blood was on his tongue as well, the sweet taste driving him wild and he had to admit…
He had never felt more alive than ever.
Suddenly, it all stops.
His voice was barely above a whisper. "What…have you done…?" As soon as you had kissed me, the hold he had tried to control had weakened. He could feel your heartbeat throughout his body. It was louder than usual.
He realized that you had sedated him with some kind of special tranquilizer.
He stared at you, suddenly realizing what you'd done. His lips parted slightly, breathing growing more labored. "Darling..." He whispered. "Why did you do this…why…"
His heart grew heavier, and his racing thoughts began to dim.
"What…what's happening…?" He moved my hands towards his chest, his heartbeat growing increasingly erratic. "Y/N…what's happening, please…"
"I'm sorry, my dear. I just need you to go under for a bit." You whispered, gaze turned cold yet you felt pity in your heart.
"It shouldn't kill you, just knock you out as I capture you."
"Why you…" Wriothesley's voice was strained, his breathing shallow. My eyes grew heavier, and his legs gave out from under him.
He crashed into the floor, unable to move. "My dear…" He gasped, his hands clutching his chest. "…please…darling"
His thoughts blurred, and his breath was shallow as he tried to remain conscious. "Don't….make me…sleep…please…my love…"
"Goodnight, Wriothesley, I'll promise I'll keep you safe from the church."
Wriothesley remained unresponsive as he listened to your voice, his body limp.
He was completely at your mercy, a state he had never experienced before.
A small smile spread on his lips, his heart flickering with joy. He felt alive. He also felt loved, and desired. He was no longer alone. There was someone who cared for him.
It was such a strange feeling.
A tear fell down his cheek as he drifted into unconsciousness, his thoughts quieted down.
He prayed that the next time he woke up...
It would be in your arms.

✧HIPS DON'T LIE ! ✧
Tumblr media
⋆🌱— Pairings: alhaitham x fem! reader
⋆🌱 — Sypnosis: You are a well-known dancer in Sumeru City, a friend of Nilou's. You captivate people with your enchanting and slightly....sensual dances. You left the Akademiya due to discrimination bcs of family financial status.
⋆🌱 — content: fem! reader, slightly spicy. (you're a bad bitch lol), kinda OOC alhaitham lightly implied yandere tendencies, alhaitham losing his shit over you.
(might do a part two?? with smut or just a continuation..)
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
Many could say that Al Haitham was incredibly studious, or even a workaholic. Or that fact that he'd prefer studying over establishing connections or relationships during his student years in the Akademiya.
You were just another face in the crowd to him, someone that never really understood him, and even if you did try, he'd shoot down any chances when you approached him.
But, he paid the price dearly once you left the Akademiya, with the lack of your presence telling him that you were gone— you never knew that he enjoyed your company either.
Al Haitham, who was known as a man that only believes in hard truths and pure logic or scientific calculations and mathematics, had underestimated his desires that was buried within his heart, his need as a human being.
He was in love with you.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
A sharp breath exited his body.
He was looking at you.
Al Haitham couldn't help but stare in awe. He took in every little movement, every miniature detail, every inch of your skin that was exposed by your costume and couldn't look away.
The world around him had seemed to come to a halt as you started dancing on the stage, catching his attention almost immediately as well as taking his breath away.
He never missed a show of yours, ever since he found out about your whereabouts after you left the Akademiya. He wasn't going to lie, he missed your persistent and bubbly personality, your beautiful eyes, your luscious hair and deep down, where he kept his unwanted desires hidden.
He missed looking at the shape of your body.
He couldn't lie anymore, he was still a man, much like every other men out there, who has a primal need for someone to satisfy his yearning. During the time the two of you were in the Akademiya, he never saw the need for a counterpart, a partner in life.
He couldn't understand why every other scholars his age has a need to find someone to share their fleeting youth with, to only part ways when they don't feel like it anymore.
Unnecessary, He thought, all these unneeded emotions and needs would only hold him back from his goals, but then he found you again, seen your performances and archons, oh how he wished he could take back those stupid thoughts he had back then.
He's falling from his high pedestal made from his beliefs and logic and embraced by the human desire that already consumed others.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
You step onto the stage, your dance costume shimmering in the spotlight. The veil that was covering half of your face, the clinking of your waist ornaments and the rhythmic beats of the music fill the air, and you feel the energy pulsating throughout your chest to the tips of your fingers and toes.
As a renowned dancer, your movement is a language of your own and every step tells a story. The fluidity of your movements, and the gracefulness of your gestures, all come together to capture the audience. With each sway of your hips and extension of your arms, You feel your body become one with the music, letting the rhythm take control of your movements.
You were aware of his eyes watching you, and as you move with the music, Alhaitham was captivated by the power you hold as you bewitched the audience with the way you move. With every undulation and every turn, you capture his heart, and Alhaitham can't do nothing but watch in awe.
A small sweat drop appeared on his forehead. He had always liked watching your performance, but this was entirely on a different level. You seemed to shine a little more brightly today, was it the lighting? Or maybe how the stage light framed your figure perfectly tonight?
He got lost in your movements, captivated by your beauty and grace. The way you moved your body, the dance and gestures... archon's above, even how your hair moved with every movement, complementing it like a shadow. The way that you use your body to dance was like a siren using their voices to charm sailors, simply mesmerizing.
He could not describe it in words. The way you danced was like an amazing piece of art that would take an eternity to fully appreciate.
As you reached the climax of your performance. You twisted and turned, accentuating each and every part of your body into the dance, making sure you catch every audience member's attention, plus, to making sure Alhaitham's attention was on you and you alone in the process.
You noticed that he was there for every performance you've ever done, and this performance was a way to show your....appreciation.
As the music played, you were dancing perfectly to every beat and sound. The lights in the Zubayr Theater looked like the night sky, You felt yourself getting tired slightly but you kept pressing on.
Al Haitham could feel his face get warm. As your dance progressed and your movements got more confident, he was completely and utter captured. His eyes, locked onto yours as you danced, your hips swaying to the beat of the drums.. it was all so mesmerizing.
When the tempo picked up and your footsteps began to echo throughout the stage, he began to get dizzy. His breath was caught in his throat, all the attention and focus was towards you. The music itself seemed to be only your domain, and everyone watching was under your spell.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
You were moving in a circular and Alhaitham swear that he could see your ass jiggle slightly.
You were blessed with a body with full curves and rounded thighs and waist, perfect for a dancer.
You were moving with such precise, and well practiced movement, twirling your wrist and the circling of your hips and waist. Your eyes wander around the room, and he wished that your eyes could stay only on him, but there are others that you must acknowledge in the room.
Alhaitham acquiesce. His heart is green with envy, blue with sorrow, and red with passion, all the colors of the rainbow pouring out onto the floor and forming a puddle of desire.
Al Haitham was completely entranced by the dance and you. Each gesture you made, how you swayed your hips and twirled your wrist...
He could've sworn at the way you walked, your hips swayed just a little more than necessary... as if you wanted to draw more attention to your curves and make the crowd even more attracted to you.
It had certainly worked on him.
Just as you looked around the room, Al Haitham managed to catch your gaze. He couldn't control his cheeks, they had turned a subtle pink.
You slowly moved lower, knees bent slightly, feet pressed to the wooden floor of the stage, raising the right side of your hips, lifting it upwards. While maintaining eye contact with Alhaitham as you move your hips from side to side at a fast pace.
He sees a silver of the floral tattoo on your hip and he felt his pants getting more uncomfortable by the second.
Al Haitham's mouth opened slightly and he felt himself breathe a little harder at the sight.
His heart was beating out of his chest as you moved your hips in a seductive manner as maintained eye contact with him. He felt so... exposed, as if you could see the lust in his eyes.
He just had to have you.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
As the tempo picked up, your movements became more intricate, your arms and legs gracefully weaving in and out of each other. Your body seemed to be in a constant state of motion, flowing seamlessly from one movement to the next.
The audience was lost in the moment, their eyes fixed on you as you continued to perform. The sound of the cymbals filled the room, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already astonishing performance.
The tiny bells, chains, and charms on your ankles, wrist and waist jingled and sparkle in the lights of the stages.
Al Haitham felt his entire body trembling in excitement. The sound of the cymbals.. the twirl of your hips.. the movement of your arms, legs and even the jingling of the bells and charms on your wrists and ankles..
You were the main attraction. The main course.
No... you were the entire meal.
And he's planning to have you all to himself.
Al Haitham felt an urge he couldn't suppress. The way you moved, the way your eyes seemed to glisten slightly. It had taken every last ounce of his willpower to hold back from rushing the stage and take you in front of the crowd.
As you finished your performance, his breathing had become quite heavy and your figure was the only thing on his mind.
He was so lost in thought thinking of how you felt.. how sweet you would've tasted...
It's killing him to not be able to have you.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
You panted. The long and intense performance took the breath out of you, but stamina is vital for a dancer so you weren't affected that much as you'd have thought.
You bowed towards the crowd that were throwing Sumeru Roses at the stage. You picked one up, smelled it and tucked it into your hair, it's vibrant purple was a stark contrast to your hair.
Al Haitham's eyes remained on you and he waited for you to notice him again.
As you picked up the Sumeru Rose and smelled it, then tucked it into your hair.. his eyes followed your every move with bated breath.
He noticed how your gaze lingered on him a second longer than necessary.
He was completely bewitched by you. The way your chest rises and falls, the way you bow, he sees a glimpse of your chest, which was quickly covered by the movement of your hair, much to his dismay.
And the way you tucked the Sumeru Rose in your hair. You looked so innocent to him...but he knows that you were anything but that and that little action alone made him want to just.. snatch you, claim you and never let you go.
He wouldn't let anyone have you, not after tonight. He'd kill anyone who would take you from him.
His previous thoughts and emotions quickly faded as reality returned. He was still sitting at his seat, he could feel his heart beating rapidly as he sat still. He couldn't help but stare at you with awe, the image still stuck in his mind. He felt himself smile as he watched you interact with the other audience members and your friends at the side of the stage.
Maybe next time he'll have the courage to come up to you and finally have the chance to talk to you.
