You're more than a little sleepy, having just woke up, but besides their looks, if there was anything your kids inherited from their father, it was their appetite.
And thus, when they got hungry, they got hungry - which was why you were being dragged out of bed at the ungodly hour of 5am on your day off, your daughter and son whining that they wanted pancakes for breakfast.
Yawning, you make your way to the kitchen, your kids impatiently asking you to hurry up and you chuckle tiredly, groaning under your breath as you eye the stack of dishes in the sink that you definitely knew weren't there when you last checked.
"What's wrong Mommy?" your son asks, bright blue eyes staring at you with such an intensity you can't help but wonder is your husband asexually reproduced because his children are carbon copies of himself.
You roll you eyes playfully, adopting a faux grumpy face. "Weeelll.. your father forgot to do the dishes last night being the lazy potato he is...so Mommy's just a little annoyed." You say, being sarcastic obviously - Satoru had came home exhausted from a late night at work, and so being the loving wife that you were, you set out dinner for him, knowing he'd be too tired to wash the plate right after.
However, your kids don't detect the evident sarcasm in your voice, the two instead adopted identical frowns on their faces.
"Do you not love Daddy anymore?!" Your daughter asks, aghast.
"What-"
Your son takes his sister's hand in his with a comical amount of urgency.
"We gotta warn Daddy!" he says, and your daughter nods with the same urgency- the two children now bolting to your bedroom.
You groan - what was the point of dragging you out of bed if they were going to your room anyways?!
Sighing, you decide to continue making breakfast, knowing that with the appetite of your husband and children combined, you could probably feed an entire classroom.
You're just about done, adding the last pancake to the sizable stack you created when you feel two muscles arms wrap around your waist.
You chuckle softly, feeling fluffy locks of white hair tickle the skin of your neck as your husband peppers a few sleepy kisses to your shoulder, reveling in your warmth.
"Mmm...morning baby..." he murmurs and you hum, rubbing gentle circles into his forearm.
"Morning 'Toru... did you sleep okay?" you ask and Satoru nods, his answer a little muffled from his face still nuzzling into the crook of your neck.
"Yeah...wish I could've cuddled with you more though..." he whines, and you can feel his dramatic pout against your skin.
"Aww...poor baby...is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" You say teasingly.
Satoru grins."Well...there is one thing...maybe a kiss from my gorgeous wife..?" " he suggests, and you laugh, turning your head to press you lips against his, only for two pairs of little hand push your clingy husband away from you.
"No! Daddy's ours now!" Your daughter says adamantly, and you gape at her in mock offense.
"What?!" you say incredulously, and your son nods solemnly.
"You said that you didn't like Daddy because he doesn't wash the dishes!" he says, and Satoru raises a teasing eyebrow at you.
"You said what?" he asks teasingly and you cross your arms.
"I said nothing of the sort!" you say, but your kids are unfortunately extremely stubborn. "All I want is a little kiss, is that so bad?"
Your daughter exchanges a glance with her brother before running straight at you.
"Run! And take Daddy with you! I'll hold her off!" she yells, grabbing some random whisk off the counter and jabbing it playfully in your direction, acting like a sword.
However- you knew that there was no point in fighting back, there was no need.
Because if there was one thing that could beat your children's stubbornness, it was your husband's love for you, and his constant need to shower his pretty wife in endless affection.
Your point was proven the moment your husband and son barrel into the kitchen once more, the latter trying in a futile attempt to slow him down by clinging to his father's legs - a small "I couldn't stop him!" being cried out as your daughter sends him a dirty look. However, before she can do anything, the little girl in scooped up into her father's arms, trapped in his embrace, and squirming profusely and Satoru finally smashes his lips against yours in victory.
When he finally breaks apart, he's grinning at you with a cheesy grin, watching your breathless state with those gorgeous blue eyes you fell in love with. (Your kids are groaning in the background)

You're in a good mood today - work went smoothly and you were able to finish up early so you could come home to wind down with your family for the evening.
As you grab your keys to unlock the front door of your home, you mentally go through a list of ingredients for what you plan on making for dinner tonight.
However, a loud crash breaks you out of your thoughts, startling you as you hurriedly open the door, wondering what in the world you husband and kids have gotten up to now.
Stepping inside, you're not exactly sure what to make of the scene that graces your eyes.
Your husband has a grumpy look on his face, red eyes squinting at the little girl in front of him with an equally annoyed expression on her face.
Your son is nowhere to be seen, but you hear another crash from the kitchen, flinching as you have a nagging suspicion what's going on.
What's even more jarring however, is the fact that your husband is wearing a suit.
It's been a while since you've seen Sukuna in formal wear, especially in a suit that deliciously clings to his frame in a way that showcases his defined arms and sculpted torso.
"Stop complaining Daddy! You need to look good for- oh Hi Mommy!" your daughter's voice cuts you out of your daydreaming, her small angry face brightening up in excitement once her eyes fall on you.
Running up to you, she grabs your hand and tugs you closer to your husband, whose face looks slightly embarrassed - which should've immediately signaled some alarms in your mind because Sukuna and embarrassed did not fit in the same sentence.
"Daddy's gonna take you on a date to a fancy restaurant!" your daughter chirps, and you blink at her slowly.
"He- what?"
"Go get ready Mommy! Look extra pretty too!"
You protest helplessly, unable to do much as your daughter pushes you into your room, leaving you to contemplate what the hell just happened.
You chuckle at your daughter's antics, sighing as you set your bag down and take your shoes off.
It wouldn't hurt to play along for a bit.
Rifling through your closet, your eyes widen as they land on the dress Sukuna had bought you for your birthday a while ago.
Changing into it, you stare at yourself in the mirror. You know it's been a hot minute since you've ever dressed up so nicely, but the way the dress clings to your figure seems different than how it used to. Then again, the last time you wore this dress was before your daughter was born, and thus it was bound to fit a little differently due to the changes your body had undergone due to postpartum. Your husband has assured you that he genuinely did not care, and that he loved you the way you are, and yet... you couldn't help but feel a little insecure as you stared at yourself in the mirror.
Before you could change your mind though, your daughter barges into the room, giving you a quick once-over before grabbing your arm again and dashing to the backyard with you in tow.
Like father, like daughter, you snort mentally, knowing full well your little girl got her impatience from her dad.
Bringing you to the patio, you blink in surprise as your drink in the view in front of you. It's a fairly nice setup, fairy lights twinkling from the veranda ceiling and a table with a vase of flowers that you recognize to be the one you set on the kitchen counter just a few days ago.
"Aw honey, did you do all of this?" you say, and your daughter grins nodding.
"I hope you're hungry!" she says and you raise an eyebrow.
Before you can ask any further though, you hear someone clear their throat behind you. Turning you see your husband, clearly out of his element as he eyes your figure in a way that makes you feel almost vulnerable to his gaze.
"H-Hey." You say, awkwardly. Though being married for so long, it's been a while since you and Sukuna have been on a date - not to anyone's fault, but between balancing both your work life and managing your kids' schedules, there just hasn't been any time.
He smirks, approaching you and wrapping an arm around your waist, tugging you closer to him. "Hey, gorgeous. Ya ready?"
You flush - was Sukuna ever this flirty? You feel like a schoolgirl again - which is strange, considering you've been married for nine years. Maybe the lack of dates has really caught up to you.
You shake yourself out of your thoughts. If your husband could act a little out of his element, so could you.
You bring a hand up to his face, tracing his jawline before your thumb grazes the outline of his lips. Your look at him lovingly, but there's a tinge on shyness in your gaze too.
"You look really good, Ryo." you say, and it's like you're 17 again.
Sukuna hums, kissing the top of your forehead. "Yeah? You don't look so bad yourself, love."
Guiding you to the table, he pulls out your seat for you, making sure you're situated before sitting down in his own seat.
You're not sure how your daughter managed to get Sukuna to act like this, but you mentally thank her because this was so worth it. You make a note to treat her later.
Just then, you son loudly enters the area, wearing what you notice to be your husband's chunky black boots and your white jacket and sunhat in what you gather to be a poor attempt at a chef's outfit. You wince mentally noticing a stain that definitely wasn't there before but your son looked so hilariously adorable in the clearly oversized clothing that you couldn't bring yourself to be mad.
You see him adorably trying to look at mature as possible, with a mustache drawn on with what you hope isn’t permanent marker.
“Here are your menus.” your son says, with a terrible French accent, and you cover your mouth with the back of your hand to stifle your laugh.
“Thank you very much… um what’s in the-” you squint, trying to decipher what you know to be your son’s handwriting “special?”
Your son frowns, thinking for a minute. “The special? The special has uh…” you wait for him patiently, extremely amused.
He just shrugs. “I dunno.”
You laugh a little and sigh, eyeing the menu that consisted of the unknown special and baked beans for some apparent reason.
“I’ll just take the baked beans then.” you say, smiling down at your son, who takes your menu, turning to look at your husband, whose red eyes were already staring at you.
You flush and clear your throat, looking away, but you can still feel his assessing gaze, as if he's trying to drink up every square inch of you, memorizing your beautiful face in the moment.
Your son looks up at his father impatiently and Sukuna blinks in confusion before realizing that he needed to order too. “I’ll just take the baked beans or whatever I guess.” He grumbles and you raise an amused eyebrow.
The moment your son stomps away in his (read: Sukuna’s) boots, your husband mutters under his breath. "God I hate baked beans."
You snort. "Weren't you the one who wanted to eat healthier in this house?"
Sukuna grumbles"When I said eat more proteins, I meant meat, not stupid beans." You almost want to take a picture of his expression- looks like your daughter was rubbing off on your husband as just much as he was rubbing off on her.
“WE HAVE A PROBLEM!” you hear your son call out, and you flinch as another crash can be heard from inside.
You start to get up, but you’re stopped by the feeling of Sukuna’s large hand on your thigh.
“I’ll take care of it.” you hear his gruff voice say, and your heart warms at the sentiment, watching him and his daughter leave the room.
Sukuna groans, watching the catastrophe in front of him.
Taking on that stupid bet with a 7 year old, what was he thinking?!
He can picture her smug face in his mind, drawing a random picture on the countertop before asking the most out of pocket question in the world.
“Why does Mommy love you?”
Sukuna raises an eyebrow. Because we’re married…?”
She rolls her eyes. “I know that, I mean why does Mama love you- it’s not like you give her kisses and hugs all the time.”
Sukuna blinks. She wasn’t wrong. But that didn’t mean he didn’t show his affection to you. Any PDA was done behind closed doors, away from prying eyes, which included your own children. And you knew that- and reassured him that his alternate ways of showing affection didn’t bother you at all. However…
“Daddy’s not romansic!” Your son chimes, his pronounciating a little off, but the message was clear.
Your daughter nods. “Yeah Daddy! You can’t be romantic at all!”
Which is how Sukuna found himself staring at the spilled can of baked beans, food splattered across the tiled kitchen floor. He eyes another stain on his (your) jacket as well- and groans internally, knowing that he owes you another one.
"What the f- heck, happened here?"" Sukuna gapes, catching himself before he said something he would surely get sent to the couch for.
"....I spilled it." Your son looks back at him meekly. Unlike his daughter, your son looked and acted almost exactly like you- which was a problem for Sukuna because it made it almost impossible to get mad at him.
Your husband groans, knowing wondering how he's going to clean the mess, when your daughter's small hands star pushing him out of the kitchen again.
"Go be romantic Daddy- I'll clean up the mess and we'll make something." she says, and in that split second, he gets immediate whiplash from the resemblance your daughter has to you.
Maybe not in looks, Sukuna had that covered, but in the way her mouth curved up in a determined little smile? All you.
Sukuna knew you were as used to this whole date thing as he was - the last date you had been on was about 7 years ago, and so he was a little nervous.
But when you saw you, god you looked so heavenly it was almost sinful to even be able to lay his eyes upon you. The way your dress hugged your curves, the sparkle in your eyes he loved so much, and that gorgeous smile - he wanted to give you the world. He wants to give you the world.
He sees you sitting patiently by the table, tracing invisible patterns on the tablecloth, before a shadow looming over the table catches your attention.
Sukuna's behind you, draping his arms around you to loosely rest against your collarbone, burying his nose into the crook of your neck.
"Huh- oh, hi Ryo!" you say, smiling softly and giggling as his hair tickles your neck.
Fuck... I love you so much baby...so, so, so, damn much." he mumbles and you coo, threading your fingers through his hair and pressing a kiss to the pink tufts.
You laugh slightly. "What's gotten into you, hm?"
Sukuna still doesn't lift his face from your neck, his words muffled. "Shut up woman, and let me love my wife."
You smile warmly, gently removing your hands from his hair to tilt his face towards you, leaning in to kiss him tenderly.
Sukuna almost melts from your touch, and you're a little surprised, wondering who ever managed to get him so...soft.
Sukuna didn't have to wonder though. He knew. It was you. It always has been. Sukuna's not one to look at the past, or get sentimental, but this? Spending some time with you, being able to be surrounded by you and your love, being able to watch his family grow with you by his side - he can't help but feel the need to love you even more than he has.
What you both don't notice are the two sets of eyes that peer out the back window, your daughter and son fist bumping as a mission accomplished.

"Alright, I'm leaving!" you call out, and your husband's red eyes rake over your form before wrapping an arm around your waist, tugging you closer as he presses a firm kiss to the temple of your head.
"Ya better have fun tonight, yeah?" he murmurs, his voice low and gravelly, and you hum softly, turning so that you face him, arms reaching up to wrap around his neck, playing absentmindedly with the baby hairs at his nape.
"I will.. promise to hold down the fort until then?" you ask, smiling knowingly and Katsuki smirks, pressing his forehead against yours.
"Yeah yeah, I can handle the brats for the night, woman." he says and you giggle, rolling your eyes playfully.
"I'll hold you to that Suki.. make sure Eji doesn't burn down the kitchen, okay?"
He clicks his teeth, snorting at the thought. "Tch. As if I'd ever let him in my kitchen in the first place."
You chuckle, remembering how possessive the explosive blonde could get over his favorite room in the house. "Yeah.. you barely let me in the kitchen when we first started dating."
Your husband's eyes soften a little at the thought, drinking you in one last time before you had to leave for your girl's night with Mina. Honestly, he still couldn't process it to this day, one wedding and two children later- he always found himself awestruck at the fact that you were his wife.
Or even simpler- you were his, and to that extent, he was yours as well.
You press your lips against his lovingly, and he reciprocated with no hesitation. Katsuki always was and is a lover who showed his affection through actions, channeling all his love into a single kiss, one that always took your breath away.
The small noise of a throat clearing is what causes you to break apart, seeing Mina in the corner of the room with an amused expression on your face.
"S'cuse me, lovebirds but I'm going to need to steal your wife from you Bakubro." she says lightheartedly, and Katsuki frowns - though lackluster- from the nickname. Both Mina and her husband still insistently called him the same nickname from their UA days, as did the rest of your friendgroup, and it was frankly amusing.
You hum, squeezing your husband's hand one last time and pressing a kiss to his cheek before turning to leave with Mina, waving before shutting the door gently behind you.
Kirishima stumbles into the room just then catching Katsuki's attention, with one child attached to each of his limbs, your daughters clinging to his legs and his daughters on his arms.
It would never not be funny, the four of you - Ejirou, Mina, Katsuki and you - thought, that you all ended up having girls. Mina became pregnant with their first daughter the year before you became pregnant with the twins. And then the year after that, Mina got pregnant again with their second daughter.
One of your girls, Kasumi's eyes light up at the sight of Katsuki, detaching herself from Kirishima's leg and bounding over to her father, grinning up at him.
"Hi Daddy!" she chirps, and Katsuki chuckles, scooping her up into his arms and ruffling her hair.
"Hi Muffin." he says warmly, before turning his gaze to his best friend, the poor red head trying to detangle himself from the three girls that still clung to him. "What happened to you, huh?"
Kirishima sweatdrops. "I...have no idea."
Katsuki snorts, and shifts Kasumi in his arms before motioning to his other daughter Hanami to join him, the little girl running over to him, squealing happily as she settles in his arms, small hands now playing with his spiky blonde hair.
Kirishima sighs in relief, sending the blonde a grateful smile. "Thanks man, I could barely move." he sweat drops, chuckling wryly.
Katsuki smirks, and kisses the tops of his daughters' heads before setting them down, Ejirou doing the same with his girls.
"Why don't ya go run outside, yeah? We'll call ya in when it's time for dinner."Katsuki says, and Kasumi nods eagerly, grabbing Kirishima's younger daughter Fumiko's hand.
"C'mon Fumi! We can go play with the waterguns Daddy bought us!" she chirps, and the pair run off to the backyard, their sisters in pursuit.
Kirishima watches the girls disappear and grins, nudging the blonde.
"So, with the girls gone... how've you been man? I feel like I haven't seen you in forever, especially with hero work and everything."
Katsuki nods, agreeing with me. "Yeah, me and Y/N have had our hands full... especially since, -ah fuck!" He swears, jerking away as pain shoots up his leg, accidentally stepping on something sharp.
However, it wasn't just anything, Katsuki looking down at the object, blood draining out of his face at the sight.
"Oh shit, are you oka- oh fuck." Kirishima pales as he sees what used to be the lego set the girls were working on, now shattered and completely demolished.
"Ah shit- c'mon Shitty Hair, we need to clear this out before the girls get back." Katsuki says hurriedly, and Kirishima nods, hastily dumping the pieces back in the box and stuffing it under the sofa, hoping the girls' wouldn't notice.
Just as they finish up, the girls come back inside, the two men freezing as they enter the living room.
"Hi Daddy!" Kirishima's older daughter Yui beams, before her eyes scan the room, narrowing slightly. "Where's our lego set?"
Kirishima sweat drops, trying to think of a lie on the spot. "Well, I uh, we-"
"We moved it to the dining room so that no one would step on it." Katsuki says nonchalantly, despite the irony.
Yui nods, suspicion leaving her eyes. "Oh, okay! Can we go play with it before dinner?"
Kirishima clears his throat. "Well...we could, but what if we played a game? You pick."
Each of the four girls' heads perk up at the prospect of a game. Hanami shares an evil look with Fumiko, the latter one declaring:
"We're going to play Horsey Ride!" Kirishima pales, and your husband raises an eyebrow.
"What's Horsey Ride...?"
Turns out, Kirishima didn't have to explain, because the girls had whisked the two of them outside so quickly that the situation explained itself.
The girls had their fathers on all fours, and they sat on their backs, as if they were riding a horse.
Katsuki internally groaned, mentally thanking himself for putting in extra reps at the gym earlier that week because frankly, the weight of two little girls on his back wasn't easy to carry.
Kirishima seemed to be faring the same, a grumpy look on his face as his daughter make him trot around the backyard.
Hanami tugged on Katsuki's hair, seemingly attempting to control his actions like something straight out of Ratatouille, and he begrudging obliges, now joining Kirishima in trotting around the yard.
Suddenly, Fumiko groans.
"I'm booorrreddd..." she whines and Kasumi frowns, thinking of a different game to play, something sparking in her eyes.
"What if... we have a horsey wedding!" she chirps, and both Katsuki and Ejirou freeze.
A what?!
Katsuki would rather die than do this to be honest, especially in the company of Kirishima, but he also possesses the inability to say no to his girls.
He also owes it to you.
Which is how he found himself grumpily sitting on the stairs to the porch, waiting for Hanami to escort him down the "aisle", with his hair tied up into uneven and painfully tight pigtails and your lipstick messily applied to his lips.
Kirishima wasn't doing any better, his hair stick out in all directions as the girls grabbed a sharpie and drew a mustache on his face.
Fumiko was randomly slamming away at some keys on the toy piano Katsuki bought years ago, and Kasumi was at the end of the aisle, clearly the officiant.
Katsuki crawls up to Kirishima's side, the two still on all fours. side eyeing each other as it takes every fiber in their being to not laugh at the other's appearance.
Kasumi clears her throat.
"Ahem. Ladies and Gentlemen, and Horsies, welcome to the HORSEY WEDDING!" she says, a little overenthusiastically, and Katsuki prays to whatever deity is out there that the neighbors don't hear the commotion and come over to investigate.
Katsuki and Ejirou glance at each other once again, defeat settling in their gaze.
This was going to be a long night.
And indeed it was, you and Mina returning home to see your poor husbands passed out on the floor, Katsuki's hair still in pigtails and Ejirou's face still marked with the mustache, a half built lego set in between the two of them.
You giggle, snapping a picture of the two discreetly.
If there was one thing you knew for sure about Katsuki Bakugou, it was that he would do anything for his girls.

"Mama!" you hear a cry ring out, and you groan, setting down your book as you rush to the living room, seeing what the hell happened this early in the morning.
"What's wrong baby?" You call out, worriedly, only to find your son chugging down glasses of water with tears streaming down his tiny face.
Frowning, you take the glass of water away from his reluctant hands, wiping the tears off his face. He opens his mouth to talk, but you're hit with the smell of...chili peppers? Not just any chili peppers, but it's a strong smell that you would know from anywhere. Asking your son to open his mouth, your suspicions are confirmed as his tongue is bright red, the same color that Katsuki's tongue becomes whenever he eats those spicy chips of his.
The spicy chips you specifically told him not to buy just the other day.
Whiiiich is how you got here.
"I now call this meeting to order." You say, banging a wooden spoon against a stack of books.
Your son had decided to call your husband to "court" despite not fully knowing what court is, you obliged, acting as the judge as your husband and son sat across from each other, with matching glares directed at each other.
Clearing your throat, you adjust the little girl in your lap, your 4 year old daughter insisting that she be present.
"Katsuki. Did you or did you not, buy the chips that I specifically told you not to buy." You say, and your husband's red eyes dart away from you, drilling into the floor as he runs a large hand through his spiky hair.
"Baby-"
"Answer the question."
"Fine geez, yes, but the brat shouldn't have been in our f- bedroom in the first place."
You were just about to chastise Katsuki for buying the chips behind your back, but the new piece of information brings an interesting point, watching as your son's smug grin melts away into a sheepish expression.
You raise an eyebrow. "Honey, why were you in our bedroom? In the middle of the night?"
Your son pouts. "I wasn't in your bedroom, mama! Promise!"
Like you, your son is terrible at lying.
"Yes he was! He said he wanted to play with Daddy's boom boom cannons." your daughter chirps, and oh if looks could kill, she would be deceased by the way your son was glaring at her.
Katsuki frowns. "For the last time, they're not called 'boom boom cannons', they're called-"
"You know you're not supposed to touch Daddy's boom boom cannons, honey." You cut in, giving a pointed stare at your son.
His small face falls at your words, and he looks ashamed. "M'sorry mama...I just wanted to be cool like Daddy..."
Your eyes soften and Katsuki's annoyed face melts, taking your son's smaller hand into yours.
"I know baby, Daddy is really cool, but with being a Pro Hero comes a lot of responsibility right?" Your son nods, absorbing your words. "And with that responsibility, Daddy has to deal with a lot of dangerous stuff for work...things that aren't safe for little kids, okay? We just don't want you to get hurt."
Your son nods, crawling over to you to snuggle into your side, your daughter curling up against you.
"M'sorry mama.."
You smile softly, and kiss the top of his head. "I know baby...no more sneaking around?"
"No more sneaking around."
Katsuki watches your kids snuggle up against you, and he feels as if he's fallen in love with you all over again, moving closer to wrap his arms around the three of you, only for you to stop him with a glare.
"Don't think this means you're off the hook, Katsuki."
He groans. "C'mon baby-"
"Oooo Daddy's in troubleeee~"

You're pulling up into your brother's driveway when another parked car catches your eye.
You frown slightly. Satoru never said anything about having anyone else over.
He had called you a week ago to watch over his adopted sons for the day, Yuji and Megumi; though knowing him, he probably forgot.
You sigh. Might as well go see your nephews anyway - since you came all the way.
Parking your car in the driveway, you make your way onto the porch to ring the doorbell.
Immediately, you hear screaming and chaos from within the house, snorting as you come to the conclusion that it's probably Yuji and Megumi clamoring to the door. Though, your idiot brother most likely had a hand in the destruction that was occurring too.
Eventually someone opens the door, and to your surprise it's someone new.
A tall man, around your age or older, with sandy blonde hair and gorgeous brown eyes. He's wearing a nice polo and slacks, undoubtedly something a little over the top for what you assumed to be babysitting, but you found it cute.
It may or may not have taken you a while to realize you were staring though.
Clearing your throat you look to the side while flashing the man an awkward smile.
"S-Sorry! I-uh, I'm Satoru's sister" you say, giving him your name while sticking out your right hand for a handshake.
The man looks amused, reciprocating your handshake and chuckles lightly. "No worries. My name is Nanami."
Just then, Satoru comes barreling in, a child in each arm. His hair is mussed up and his sunglasses are crooked, something you point out to which he groans, setting Yuji and Megumi down, only for them to run out the door and attach themselves to your legs.
"Hi Auntie!" Yuji chirps, grinning widely as his looks up at him excitedly.
Megumi doesn't say anything, being the quieter of the two, but you don't miss the small smile on his face as he smushes his cheek against your leg in a hug.
You chuckle, ruffling their hair affectionately. "I missed you too, boys. Is Satoru treating you okay?"
Yuji huffs and shakes his head vehemently. "He's a meanie."
You raise an eyebrow and your brother stares at the pink haired boy incredulously. "What do you mean?! I let you have dessert before breakfast yesterday!"
You glare at Satoru and sigh, lifting up Megumi so you were carrying him on his back, and gently detaching Yuji from your leg in favor of holding his hand.
"And I'm assuming that means you forgot you wanted me to babysit last week?" you ask, and Megumi peeks his little face over your shoulder judgmentally.
Your brother groans. "Ah shoot... completely slipped my mind. Completely forgot I texted you with everything going on..." he looks at your helplessly and you relent.
Sighing, you finally step inside the house, and turn towards Nanami, no longer as awkward as you initially were as you slip into Auntie mode.
"How about this- you go to that super important meeting you needed to attend and Nanami and I will stay here and watch over the boys. I'm sure we can handle it, right?"
"Yes, we will be fine. We'd probably do better than you anyways." Nanami says, rolling his eyes and you fight off the urge to laugh.
Ignoring his friend's comment, your brother wraps you in a one armed hug before grabbing his coat and thanking you both one last time, closing the front door and dashing to his car.
Megumi still on your back, groans. "I'm hungry."
Yuji nods. "Me too!"
You chuckle, walking to the kitchen to whip up something for dinner, setting Megumi down as you face the man behind you. "Nanami, do you want to keep them occupied while I make something? I won't be long, maybe only 15 minutes."
The blonde haired male nods, scooping Yuji and Megumi up in his muscled arms. "Sounds alright to me. We'll be in the living room."
You smile and rummage around the kitchen, praying to some supernatural force that the only thing Satoru kept in here wasn't just loads of sweets. Thankfully, your brother had some sense left in him and you found a decent amount of rice noodles in the pantry along with some broth and vegetables.
Putting together a decent meal, you put the bowls of steaming noodles on a tray and bring it to the living room where the boys are.
You find Yuji and Megumi watching Nanami in interest as he recounts a story from his work, only to bolt up immediately at the sight on you with food.
You place them down on coasters on the coffee table, warning them that the noodles were hot and to be careful, before handing a bowl to Nanami with a smile.
"Here- I'm not sure if you've babysitted these two before, but eat up, because you're going to need the energy."
Nanami smiles slightly. "Thank you. It looks amazing."
You feel the butterflies erupt in your stomach from his earnest compliment, nods, motioning to the kitchen.
"I'm going to grab some water for us - want to come?" You ask, and he nods, setting his bowl down on a coater and gets up to follow you to the kitchen.
Looking around the kitchen you groan, not realizing the step stool wasn't present in the room. You see the cabinet where your brother keeps his cups and curse your parents in your mind for giving him such tall genetics as you attempt to reach the cup on the shelf.
"Here, let me get that for you." Nanami's deep voice comes out from behind you and you freeze, realizing just how close he is, basically trapping you against the counter as his chest brushed against your back, grabbing four cups for you.
He hands them to you as you turn around, your eyes meeting with him beautiful brown ones, and yet again, you find yourself staring.
Clearing your throat awkwardly for a second time, you look away, and mumble out a thank you.
You fill up the four cups, and with Nanami's help you bring them back to the living room, handing them to the boys before digging in to your respective bowls of noodles.
Nanami offers to do the dishes, and you smile warmly as you thank him and usher the boys upstairs to get ready for bed.
However, even after they've brushed, showered, and settled into their pajamas, they still have energy for one last game for the day.
"Can we play 20 questions?" Yuji asks, plopping down on the large rug in his shared room with Megumi and you sigh, chuckling lightly as you sit down, patting the space in front of you and Megumi and Yuji sit down excitedly.
At that moment, Nanami comes upstairs, sitting down next to you across from the boys.
"What are we doing?"He asks, and Yuji grins at him widely.
"We get to ask you guys questions!" he chirps, and Megumi nods.
"Wait, that's not how-"
"Why don't you have a wife?" Yuji asks the man to your right, catching the both of you off guard.
"Uh- well, how do you know I don't?"Nanami asks, raising an eyebrow at the very inquisitive child.
"Do you have a wife?" Megumi asks immediately, mirroring the man's expression.
"Well- no."
"Then why don't you have a wife?" Megumi asks, and you want to laugh at the man's visible discomfort.
"How about we move on, yeah?" you say, trying to show a little mercy to the poor blonde.
"You many friends do you have?" Yuji asks, turning to you and you blink, unsure of how to answer.
"Um...three...?" You answer, a little sheepish.
"That's not many." Megumi says, unimpressed.
"Why do you only have three friends?" Yuji asks incredulously, his golden eyes impossibly wide.
"Well, um... back to him!" you chuckle nervously, nudging Nanami with your shoulder to change the topic.
"How come we only see you during the holidays?" Yuji asks Nanami curiously.
"Because I work an office job." Nanami answers, relieved to have a question he can answer.
"Is that why you don't have a wife?" Megumi asks and Nanami looks like he doesn't know why he puts up with the boys' antics.
He sighs, and stands up, brushing off his slacks. "Okay, enough questions - time for bed."
Yuji and Megumi groan, but you quiet their complaints with a knowing smile.
"Hey now, no frowns. If you two go to bed right now without complaints, you'll get a bedtime story."
Yuji and Megumi brighten up immediately. Your stories held a very high reputation in the Gojo household, and they knew it, racing to their beds and eagerly diving under the covers, awaiting your story. Sitting on Megumi's bed, and Nanami sitting on Yuji's you take a deep breath, and start recounting a story about a grumpy dinosaur who didn't have many friends.
"Did the dinosaur work in an office?" Megumi mumbles and Yuji is thrown into a fit of giggles.
You frown and flick Megumi's shoulder lightly. "Be nice, boys, and apologize."
"Sorry Mr. Nanami..." the boys mumble and you sigh quieting them again, sending an apologetic look to the blonde on Yuji's bed to which he responds with an amused expression.
"Good. Now, it was the dinosaur's birthday and...."
。゚•┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈꒰ა ⭑ ໒꒱┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈• 。゚
It's late at night now, the boys fast asleep as you sit on the balcony floor that overlooks the backyard.
You hear the door slide open, and suddenly Nanami joins you on the wooden floor, heat radiating off of him and you have to physically restrain yourself from getting closer to its source.
"So, you've been doing this for a long time, right?" He asks, and you turn to him, surprised.
"Huh? Oh yeah, Satoru adopted them the year we graduated, so I've had my fair share of babysitting duties since then."
"Oh, you and Gojo are the same age? I figured you'd be older, given how mature you are in comparison."
You snort. "To be fair, there isn't much maturity to compare myself against. We're basically the same age, Satoru was one of the oldest in our year and I was one of the youngest, so we're a little over a year apart. How old are you?"
Nanami chuckles. "I'm 27, so a year younger than you."
Your eyebrows shoot up. "You're kidding, I thought you were older than me! You're so put together in comparison to Satoru."
Nanami laughs. "And here I thought we weren't comparing ourselves to Gojo."
You laugh alongside him, sighing as you enter a comfortable silence, leaning against the walls of the house and staring at the stars.
"Call me Kento."
"What?"
"My first name. Call me Kento."
Your eyes widen, as the butterflies in your stomach are surely going crazy by now, but you manage to smile.
"Alright! Call me Y/N then. Don't think you'd want to call me Gojo too."
Nanami shakes his head, smiling. "No, you are far too special to be referred to by your surname."
You blink, staring at him, flustered. Did he just call you...special?
You can't bring yourself to look at him without dying from giddiness, but staring at the stars, you manage to speak.
"Thank you... I think you're pretty special too, Kento."

╰┈➤ 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒 ✿ .ᐟ: You're exhausted, and so your loving husband makes sure that you have the day to yourself by keeping your children entertained for the day. The only problem is that your daughters want to do two very different things...and they don't want to compromise.

Satoru Gojo, despite being known as the strongest across the globe, has a weakness.
That weakness, happens to be you. Or, more specifically, saying no to you.
And this unfortunately, was passed down to your kids, and so Satoru Gojo now had three weaknesses - his wife, and his two daughters as well.
Now, this might not seem as bad as one may think - given that Satoru spoils you as easily as one may breathe, and spoiling two little girls along with you was no problem.
However lucky this may seem though...one was always bound to encounter a few bumps in the road.
This seemed like a prime example.
It all started on a Saturday afternoon, Satoru was lounging in the living room when you, his pretty wife padded into the room, laying down to join him, snuggling up against his chest as you practically melt into his embrace.
You stay silent for a little while, Satoru smiling softly as he strokes your hair, large palm reaching down to gently squeeze the plush of your thigh, while rubbing comforting circles into your skin.
"Mmm...Satoru...?" you ask sleepily, your voice a little hoarse from disuse, but Satoru thinks he's never heard a sound more angelic.
"Yes, sweetheart?" he hums, continuing to trace patterns into your skin, weaving together words and phrases that no one could ever decipher.
"M'exhausted Toru.." you mumble, your cheek half smushed against his solid chest and god, you look so adorable right now, he might actually combust- but he doesn't, because you're tired, and he loves you.
Satoru hums, a large hand coming up to brush the stray strands of hair in your face, rubbing the apple of your cheek lovingly as he presses a soft kiss to your nose, eliciting a soft giggle from your lips.
"Why don't you go rest then, yeah? I'll handle the girls and make dinner tonight." he says, almost cooing as your frown slightly, a small crinkle forming between the crease of your brows.
"But-"
"No buts love, you need rest, okay? Go take a nap." He says, kissing your nose again and you sigh, groaning dramatically as you snuggle into your husband further.
"But you're so comfy..." you whine and he chuckles, pressing a soft kiss to your lips this time, gentle but firm.
"Go sleep, love. You deserve it." he says, bringing up both his hands this time to rub the skin of your undereyes with his thumbs, kissing your forehead once more before shooing you off to your shared bedroom to take a much needed nap.
However, the moment your retreating form disappears behind the door to your bedroom, Satoru hears the sound of the sink running, and a pair of tiny feet running around the kitchen, and immediately, his dad senses are tingling.
Begrudgingly, he gets up, keeping his promise to you in mind as he's met with the sight of his 7 year old daughter Aiya messily trying to fill up her water gun- specifically the one you had warned Satoru not to buy a few years back, for this reason and this reason only.
"Aiya, honey, what are you doing?" Satoru asks cautiously, and your daughter grins back at him excitedly, a grin that he knew very well that always chalked up to trouble.
...Though to be fair, he's pretty sure the little girl got it from himself in the first place.
"Hi Daddy!" she chips, and Satoru can already feel a sense of dread coming along from his daughter's happy demeanor. "Do you wanna play water guns with me?"
Satoru sweatdrops nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "I really want to Aiya... but you know we can't use water guns in the house.. and Mommy wouldn't want that, now would she?"
Aiya pouts slightly, and Satoru can almost see the little cogs turning in her head. However, the despondent expression on her face is almost gone immediately, formulating a new idea.
"I know! I'll just ask Mommy if I can play inside!" she says brightly, and Satoru groans, realizing that he's found himself in a stalemate.
"Aiya, no just- wait...I'll play with you.." He says, mustering up an enthusiastic smile, the ecstatic one that mirrors on his little girl's face making him think this might be worth it, only for a spray of water to hit his face and realize that, no it definitely isn't.
"You have until the count of three Daddy! You gotta run and I'll find you!" she says, her adorable face wearing an evil smile and Satoru cries internally, wondering what the hell has he gotten himself into.
He sprints down the hallway, sock clad feet making their best attempt to be quiet as to not disturb your slumber, before he spots an open door at the end of the hallway, closing it quietly and slumping against the wall, relieved.
"Daddy?"
He blinks, realizing he has entered the playroom when escaping from Aiya, his younger daughter Sumi staring at him with eyes the same color as yours.
Before he can register what's going on, a small stuffed animal is shoved into his hands, a soft purple bunny by the looks of it, with what looks to be a little yellow sundress on its plush body.
"Here, can you take Keiko to daycare? She's late and I need to go to work." she asks, though it's more of a demand than a question as the girl has already moved on to the other side of the room, seemingly not wanting an answer from Satoru.
It takes him another minute to realize Sumi was referring to the bunny in his hand, and he groans internally, knowing that he's going to need extra cuddle time with you after this to recover.
Before he can ask Sumi where exactly the daycare was- Aiya burst into the room with a triumphant grin, the nozzle of the water gun pointed straight at him, her small finger on the trigger before-
"Wait! Aiya! Don't shoot!" Satoru whisper-yells, and the little girl stops momentarily, confused.
"Can we please play the same game as your sister?" he begs and Aiya giggles, shaking her head.
"No~!" she sings, cocking the gun again and Satoru is seriously almost at his wits end until Sami's voice rings out through the room. "Daddy, stop slacking! Keiko's going to be late for daycare and it's all your fault!" the 5 year old chastises and Satoru makes out a quick apology before bolting out of the room, Aiya in quick pursuit.
After making a series of twists and turns, Satoru finds himself in the living room again, crashing onto the sofa, slightly out of breath.
Setting Keiko down next to him, he sighs - he's never underestimating your parenting skills ever again.
Just he as allows his body to relax though, he senses something off in the air.
And the moment he decides to turn around to see what the fuss is all about-
"Found you Daddy!"
Satoru is pretty sure that evil grin is going to be in his nightmares for weeks.

╰┈➤ 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒 ʚɞ .ᐟ: Before going to bed, your twin daughters Nanako and Mimiko ask your husband for a bedtime story - the story of the day you two first met.

Tumblr media
"Okay girls, time for bed."
Your twin daughters, Mimiko and Nanako eagerly dash to their beds, getting under the covers and staring at your husband in anticipation.
"...What?" Suguru asks, raising an eyebrow. He wasn't a stranger to his daughters' antics, and the eager gleam in their eyes was unmistakable.
"Can you tell us a bedtime story Daddy?" Mimiko asks, flashing her infamous puppy dog eyes in his direction.
"Yeah! About the time you and Mama met. Pleaaseee?" Nanako pleads, and Suguru groans.
Out of the two of you, though he hated to admit it, Suguru was definitely the weaker link when it came to your daughters.
He sighs. ""Fine, but only if you promise that you'll go straight to sleep after that."
The girls squeal excitedly and nods, situating themselves underneath their covers.
Suguru sits on the chair between the two beds, and turns on the little night light on the night stand.
"Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a boy who was on the the school basketball team."
Suguru remembers the day like it was yesterday. It was sometime in the fall during his senior year of high school, at the peak of Jujutsu High's basketball season.
He and his best friend Satoru were playing together after school had ended, just shooting hoops in the gymnasium until things got a little too... competitive.
"Pfft you're selling so hard right now Suguru!"
"Shut the fuck up Satoru - You couldn't pass a ball if your life depended on it!"
"How's this for pass, huh?" the white haired male challenges, but in an underestimation of his own strength, Satoru manages to throw the ball so impossibly high it sails through the air and into a window, shattering the glass and tumbling straight outside.
"Shiiiiiitttt... Well that's not great." Satoru says, and Suguru send him a withering glare.
"I'll get the damn ball- you figure out how to fix the fucking window before Coach Yaga gets here."
Satoru whines, groaning as he limply stands in the center of the court. "Wha- Suguru don't go! How am I supposed to fix a window?!"
Suguru just rolls his eyes, pushing open the double doors."Aren't you rich? Just figure it out."
"Bu-"
Running through the school doors, Suguru catches a flash of orange in his peripherals, eyes widen in horror as the basketball rolls down the street into oncoming traffic.
Shit! Shoot!
Suguru groans, racing down the sidewalk, hastily apologizing as he dodges random people walking across the same pavement.
Suddenly, his eyes lock onto the basketball halfway through the street, somehow still rolling - the ravenette wincing as it narrowly misses being flattened by a car.
Suguru grumbles. Fixing a window sounds a lot easier than this shit right now.
Reaching the end of the sidewalk, his eyes dart to orange ball again, incredulously watching it roll across the entire traffic ridden road with ease and making its way down to the park, tumbling even faster down grassy mounds.
How the fuck heck was it still rolling?!
Nanako gapes at her dad. "It was still rolling?"
Suguru nods, chuckling wryly. "It wasn't even too windy that day, I don't know how it managed to go that far."
Mimiko mirrors her sister's stupefied expression. "Did Uncle Satoru throw it that hard?"
He chuckles, amused by how invested they were in the story."I don't honestly don't know girls - maybe you should ask him."
Nanako nods decisively. "Okay Daddy, you can continue your story!"
Suguru rolls his eyes but smiles. "Anyways..."
Watching the basketball, he lets out a sigh of relief as it rolls to a stop in the middle of the park. The LED sign on the opposite side on the road indicating he can cross, and he dashes across the white lines marked on the road, racing down the grassy hills only for some random kid to come up and kick the ball further away from him.
"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Suguru grumbles under his breath, legs starting to burn a little as he chases after the ball.
Finally stopping at the base of the hill, he panics.
Where did the ball go?!
It was like it disappeared out of thin air, and he groans, a feeling of hopelessness and dread washing over him. $60 dollars down the damn drain - oh god his dad was going to fucking kill him.
"What basketball costs 60 dollars?!" Mimiko asks.
Suguru shrugs. "It was a good basketball."
"And you threw the expensive basketball out the window?!" Nanako asks incredulously.
"Once again, that wasn't me, that was Uncle Satoru."
"If I had an expensive basketball, I wouldn't let it leave the house." Mimiko says, and Suguru sighs.
Sometimes, his girls' cleverness could be a little tiring to deal with.
"Do you want me to get to the good part or not?"
"Yes please!"
"Moving on..."
Suddenly, Suguru feels a tap on his shoulder.
"Um...sorry, is this yours?"
Nanako gasps. "Is that-?"
"Nana be quiet!" Mimiko chides.
Suguru turns around, eyes widening as he comes face to face with one of the prettiest girls he's ever seen.
You're a junior in high school around this time, attending a different school, but you happened to be in the park at the time, studying for an upcoming test, when a basketball rolled up and bumped into your feet. You were confused, but it wasn't hard to notice Suguru visibly panicking in broad daylight - and so you put the pieces together.
"I was not panicking!" your husband protests. "And this is my story, not yours."
You snort, entering your daughters' room. "Yes you were. You had this terrified look on your face, like the world was ending or something. Plus, if you're going to tell a story, tell it accurately at least."
Nanako and Mimiko grin up at you. "Hi mama!"
You smile warmly, kissing their foreheads lovingly, before raising an eyebrow at your husband, sitting on the edge of Mimiko's bed. "Weren't you telling a story?"
Suguru grumbles. "I was, until someone interrupted."
You wave your hand dismissively. "Don't let me stop you then."
Your husband rolls his eyes, continuing on.
"Here, I think this belongs to you." You say, handing the ball over to you.
Suguru stares at you, stunned."T-Thanks."
You give him a small but sweet smile. "I'll see you around?"
He nods, still in a trance, feeling like he's 12 years old again with a crush on some pretty girl he's met at the park.
"Yeah...I'll see you around."
Nanako giggles. "Oooooo Daddy's in looooveeeee~"
Mimko stares at him skeptically. "Are you sure that story was real?"
Suguru winks at her, raising his eyebrow. "Well I guess you have to decide."
"Do you believe in fairytales?"

You and Keigo have been waiting outside the door of your bedroom, your three children very adamant about you not entering until they told you so.
It was your 15th anniversary, and though Keigo had a date planned for the both of you- your kids had other plans.
Suddenly, the door opens abruptly, and the two of you are met with your youngest daughter, Maya - the 6 year old looking up at the two of you with such an air of importance that you wondered what in the world your children were plotting this time.
"Welcome to the cinema." she says, flattening her back to the door to allow you and Keigo to step inside, ushering you to sit on the side of the bed facing the balcony before running out onto aforementioned balcony, and hiding behind the area that was obscured by the bedroom wall.
Your husband nudges you, an amused grin on his face. "It's been a while since I've seen a good show."
You chuckle, deciding to play along. "Mmm yeah, hopefully this one's good- you paid a lot of money for the tickets."
Keigo winks. "Anything for you birdie."
You smile warmly and lean against him, nuzzling your head into his shoulder as he wraps an arm around you like it's second nature.
After waiting for a few minutes, your son, Rylan pokes his head out with a grin on his face. "The show will begin shortly, I'm hope you're ready."
You chuckle and watch as your oldest retreats back to the side of the balcony, that obstructs your view, before watching your youngest daughter Yuna walk onto the "stage", with a suspiciously familiar bag in hand, just as Maya's voice is heard.
"Once upon a time there was a lady named... wait what's Mommy's not mommy name?"
"Y/N!" Rylan whispers and you stifle a giggle behind the back of your hand, Keigo's callused fingers rubbing circles on your thigh with an equally amused smirk on his face.
"Ahem, there was a lady named Y/N." Maya clears her throat and continues, as Yuna continues to parade around the balcony.
You giggle, nudging Keigo. "That's me!"
Keigo chuckles at your excitement, kissing the top of your head.
"One day, Y/N is alone in the big city...when she gets attacked by a villain!"
As Maya says this, Rylan leaps out and chases his sister around the balcony, the latter squealing as she grabs her (your) bag and starts whacking her brother's leg.
You snort, recalling the day yourself- you had been on the way back from work that day when you realized a villain was following you. The moment they got too close for comfort, you ended up smacking the life out of them with the bag you had on you.
Just then Maya runs on, looking absolutely adorable in Keigo's hero jacket, striking a pose and you almost want to take a picture.
"Don't worry baby girl, I'll save you!" She says, and your mouth drops open as you start to laugh, Keigo watches the scene, aghast.
"I did not say that!" He whispers to you and you roll your eyes.
"You most definitely did Kei." You say, and he pouts.
Yuna, aka you, delivered one last smack to Rylan, who ran off the "stage", and proceeded to give the sassiest pose, holding her bag like it was a weapon.
"Ugh, I don't need a man to save me." She says, with a disgusted tone, and now it's your turn to gape at her in shock.
"...I didn't sound like that, did I...?" you murmur feeling secondhand embarrassment, and Keigo chuckles, pressing a kiss to your temple.
"Afraid so baby- now you know why it look so long to get you to fall for me." He coos and you roll your eyes, contradicting your words as you snuggle into him further.
Eventually, the show progresses, until they reach the proposal scene. Maya's on one knee while Yuna's standing in front of her.
"I love you so much baby girl while you marry me?" Maya says, hilariously trying to mimic your husband's voice.
"Even my stinky feet?" Yuna asks and Maya nods seriously.
"Love your stinky feet so much, pookieface." she says, and you giggle, Keigo groaning next to you.
"I do not call you pookieface."
You shake your head. "No, your nicknames back then were much worse."
Just as Keigo is about to protest, Yuna aka, you, squeal out a "Yes!!" and starts fake sobbing in happiness.
Now it's your turn to frown, Keigo snickering as you pinch his thigh playfully.
"I did not cry that much."
"On the contrary, love-"
"Shut up Keigo."
Watching your children reenact you and Keigo's history together was...nostalgic to say in the least. Your heart warmed at the sight of the family you have created with the man you loved, surrounded by so much love and warmth - it was perfect.
As the show ends, you snuggle against your husband, who seems to have sensed your thoughts, pressing a loving kiss into your hair and watching your kids run up to you with equally wide smiles on their faces.
If there was anything your kids inherited from you, Keigo thought, it was that gorgeous smile of yours.
Staring at your content form next to him with those soft golden eyes, Keigo knows deep down that even if he didn't swoop down to save you that night, he still would've found his way into your arms, one way or another.

It's been a long five hours.
Especially when you're stuck in the car with your parents and your two twin little brothers, the latter of which seemed to especially enjoy screaming their heads off like the rest of the family didn't have ears attached to their heads.
And after walking for a good 30 minutes with heavy gear to find a good spot and then setting up half of the gear on your own - including wrangling your giant tent - you were exhausted.
"Hey mom - I'm just going to go down to the stream, okay? I'll be back soon." You say, poking your head into the tent where your mom was, and she nods, smiling at you.
"Go ahead, sweetheart, just don't go too far, okay?"
You roll your eyes teasingly and nod. "I won't mom, thanks!"
Making your way down the path by where you set up camp, you find the stream you noticed earlier.
The sun is only now starting to dip below the horizon, making you feel at ease as you sit down beside a tree, resting your back against it and leaning your head back to rest on its trunk, closing your eyes and you bask in the sounds of nature.
It's not silent, but it's quiet, a soothing quiet that lets your mind relax further and further and you relish in the feeling of being alone.
Snap!
Jolting up, your head whips around, searching for the source of the sound until your eyes come into contact with a pair of wide violet ones.
"O-Oh!" you say, surprised. "H-Hi."
It comes out a little more awkward than you intended, but you can't help but stare at the boy across the stream, with pretty white hair and a thick black hoodie on, and you can't help but wonder if he's sweating underneath.
He doesn't say anything, but there's no animosity, as he smiles as waves.
You smile back, and pat the ground next to you, offering a spot under the tree by your side.
The boy turns his head for a minute, looking back at the way he probably had come from, before cautiously stepping on the rocks, making his way over to you.
He plops down next to you, and points to the sky.
You smile. "Pretty, isn't it? It's been a while since I've seen a sky like this. We're from the city, so it's usually just really cloudy. Where are you from?"
The boy thinks, before leaning away momentarily to grab a stick, starting to write out letters in the sand.
"Hm? Oh!" You exclaim in understanding, leaning forward to see what he's written.
Watching as he carefully traces out letters in the dirt, you watching him form out the phrase “I’m from the city too.”
You look at him, surprised. "You are? Are you by Tokyo? That's where I'm from!"
The boy smiles and nods excitedly, quickening writing more in the dirt. "I go to school there!"
You grin, before you cover your mouth on surprise. "Oh god- I didn't even ask what your name was!" You exclaim, giving him your name with an embarrassed look on your face.
The boy laughs, and you feel your cheeks heat up a little. Who knew someone's laugh could be so...refreshing?
Writing in the dirt some more, you see him spell out "Toge Inumaki" , before circling the former of the two words.
You smile widely. "That's such a cool name! I'm assuming you want me to call you Toge?"
The white haired boy nods and you sigh happily, resting your head on the bark of the tree.
Being with Toge was a breath of fresh air. He was quiet, and frankly, you liked quiet. No, at this point you craved it. It was nice, being able to have the space to be able hear your own thoughts, while being in the company of someone else.
You and Toge would hang out everyday for the rest of the week, and you learned a lot about each other.
You learned that he was just a year older than you- 16. He loved tuna mayo onigiri - something you've never had before but were more than excited to try. Toge was a little offended when you had told him thought - drawing the biggest "x" in the dirt that he could and a small angry face right beside it.
It was Thursday, when you and Toge decided to sit by the stream for a bit, your fingertips lightly grazing the water's surface as you relishing in the slightly cold sting of the mild current caused by the rocks along its path.
Suddenly, you feel a tap on your shoulder, turning your head to see Toge writing something in the dirt.
"Do you think I'm weird because I can't talk?"
Your eyes widen in shock as your shake your head vehemently immediately, with such a sad look on your face that Toge feels a little guilty for asking in the first place.
"No of course not!" you exclaim, and you take his hands in yours. "Toge, I've known you for a total of four days and somehow I prefer your company more than some of the people I've known for years." You say, laughing despite the irony.
You sigh. "I have two little brothers - combined with living in the city, it's always so... loud." You smile at him.
"I can actually hear my thoughts for once whenever I'm around you." you say sincerely, and you can see the tips of Toge's ears take on a light pink tint. "I don't think you're weird for not being able to speak Toge. I'm more than happy with the you I have with me right now."
Toge grins back at you, a genuine, heartfelt smile, and you feel your heart flutter a little.
He brings his hands up, hooking his two index fingers interlocking them in a sort of sign.
You stare back at him, confused, as realization dawns upon him in his eyes, grabbing the stick to write out a word.
"Friend."
You feel your cheeks heat up and you smile. You're not sure what this feeling is, but you don't necessarily hate it. The feeling on something new.
"Forever?" you ask, feeling suddenly a little shy, but Toge nods, the smile almost permanently stuck on his face.
Forever.
