I keep seeing this Loveball being mentioned in regards to fresh, but I wasn't in the fandom back then and I don't know what the fuck Loveball is and how it created fresh's character? Asking you abt it bcus you seem knowledgeable abt fresh lol

I'll have you know that when I saw this ask I cackled and rubbed my hands together evilly, completely unironically.

Unfortunately I've already rambled about this before, so I'll copy and paste the rant here rather than ranting anew:

So, like seven years ago there was a fandom-wide event called the Loveball, where people gathered their OCs and had them all attend an UTMV dancing ball. Fresh went, of course. There, he met a Frisk called Pacifrisk. Even knowing who he really was [90's parasite], they still believed he could be good. Before this, he hadn't ever really felt a connection to anyone, or even positive emotions in general. But Pacifrisk's faith in him made him feel positively towards them. This freaked him out. [No Fr@ns though, don't worry. That wasn't the intention for this plot.]

As a result, not only did he try to kill them, but he also went through with his plans: the Fresh Takeover [I forget what it's actually called]. His true reason for attending the ball. OCs were either possessed by the parasites or tried to fight against them. Apparently, some people used alcohol to ward the virus off, as Fresh hates substances such as that.

Fresh wanted to take over the multiverse, with this Loveball being the first step for his total domination.

But then right in the middle of things, a Sans AU [which I totally forget the name of X,D] grabbed Fresh and basically yeeted him into an alternate state of being. One where he could see the creators, all staring at him. An audience.

The Sans revealed the nature of Fresh's existence: That he was simply a character in a story. And if the creators got bored of him, he could easily be written aside and forgotten. Erased. His conquest didn't matter, in the end.

Predictably, this gave him an existential crisis. I'm not sure what happened after, but he stopped invading and went somewhere to contemplate his existence in a depressed state.

Afterwards, he had a new goal: To entertain. To convince the creators that he was worth keeping around. Similar to his previous goal of survival, but now with more dire stakes."

Edit: Oh, and Fresh wasn't created during the Loveball. He was originally an April Fool's shitpost doodle that CQ made, inspired by Dippy Fresh from Gravity Falls. Eventually he developed into the horrifying 90's abomination that we know today.

April fools day 2025 lore Head canons: Zoo Rangers 

Tensho Sentai ZOO Rangers: A group of people that were recruited into one of the Otori experiments into recreating the event that created superpowers. They’re often dispatched to deal with Devoted Evil, something to keep them occupied while not demanding too much of their powers. Meltdowns and side effects increase the more power they use. 

Mafuyu Asahina(White Crow): The group's interim leader while Tsukasa is recovering from an unknown accident. Her mother and her peers pushed her to volunteer as a lab assistant. She is supposed to supervise the team secretly but stepped up as leader after being pressured into it. She’s secretly plotting to help Emu gather enough evidence to stage a takeover of Otori. 

Tenma Tsukasa(Pegasus Red): The leader of the group that who volunteered to take part in the experiments to pay for Saki’s medical bills. He was injected with Alien DNA and gained the ability to shapeshift. He falls into fits of dizziness and nausea as well as coughing up blood if he overuses his powers. He’s currently disposed after witnessing a mass murder from a previous ranger and suffering from PTSD because of it. 

Minori Hanasato(Salmon Pink): The newest member of the rangers who was forced to join by her talent agency. The other members treat her like a younger sister and try to shield her from most of Otori’s wrongdoings. She has the ability to breathe underwater. 

Akito Shinonome(Orange Eagle): He was saved once by the super-hero team RADER and vowed to become a hero that could fill their shoes when they retired. To accomplish this   he joined a team made up of Himself, Haruka, An, and his sister Ena sometimes.The team seemed to be making progress when someone let slip that Nagi, An’s aunt, had died from pancreatic cancer. An quit the team in a fit of rage and left the rest of them to try and pick up the pieces. Everyone went their separate ways, but Akito never lost the dream. He signed up for the Otori experiments to become a stronger hero. He and Tsukasa but heads often because of their contrasting ideals on leadership. He lives with Ena and Toya. He has power over flames. 

WXS Miku Hatsune(Pikopiko Rainbow): A mysterious cat-like creature that seems very attached to Tsukasa and follows him around. She thinks of herself as Tsukasa’s guardian and protects him fiercely.  No one really knows what to do with her since she causes trouble but no one knows how to get rid of her. She can transform into a cat.

Random notes:

Tsukasa often ends up taking days off because of his worry for Saki.

Miku is inspired by Neko from K.

AU where Minori actually passed an audition.

Mafuyu's good girl persona has become her "dealing with her boss" voice.

Minori has a huge crush on Haruka

Completely out of season, but since it's on my mind: Every SiivaGunner April Fool's Day Special ranked from worst to best:

2022: Logan Paul's birthday: I think you can guess why this one was my least favorite. NEXT!

2019: Blue Balls Day: I mean, it was alright. I don't HATE it, it's just that almost every other April Fool’s Day was better.

2017: SiivaGunner and GilvaSunner swap upload rates: I put this one a tad below the other one just because it makes no sense unless you know how both Siiva and GiLva rolled. But I love the idea. They should rip more entire soundtracks at once.

2016: SiivaGunner and GilvaSunner swap upload styles: this was actually the day I got into Siivagunner. How painful was it that GiivaSunner was terminated only 3 days later! I actually thought that was the end until a month later! Anyway, this was the best thing they could have done for an April Fool’s Day: uploading an unedited soundtrack and claiming it was a remix.

2018: Inspector Gadget Takeover #2: Oh! Minecrap! Do you know what my favorite thing to do is, in Minecrap? I love to build brown bricks in Minecrap! But seriously, unpopular opinion but I never got tired of Inspector Gadget. And I loved the second takeover even more due to the AVGN theme and the like being featured too. Gadget's Gay Maze 2 was my favorite track from this one.

2020: Rips of April Fool's Games: this was a nice little April Fool’s Day, especially in the middle of Covid. Fake game rips are always funny. And them mocking Cloud getting two whole songs in Smash Bros was hilarious. And it helped to introduce me to Homestar Runner with the Subscription Plus joke, so that's always a plus.

2024: Algorithm Slop Day: Siiva opinions that make you go like this: This was a nice bit of satire of the current state of Youtube. I am docking points for reminding me how overpresent Skibidi Toilet is, though. But some great rips from this period include: calling out Scoose Me, One-Winged Angel using MODERN memes (I completely forgot Stick Bug was a meme), GIMME 20 DOLLARS, that one rip with the overly long story description that ends with the guy shilling his life coaching services, and a few uploads that led to a fake Patreon.

2021: Mario Dies Day: the Mario Wiki made the exact same joke and I'm still unsure who did it better. Either way, a lot of thought and effort was put into this one. They went as far as to private ALMOST EVERY RIP with Mario's name it it. I especially loved the custom art for Super M̸̌̊a̴͛̿█̸͌̑i̵̛͊█̷̾̓ Sunshine, it really looked official. And the best part was it ending with a Your Best Nightmare and Finale pair of rips.

2023: Lore & Announcements (Beta Mix): I dunno if this is an unpopular opinion but I just loved seeing announcement videos of varying seriousness being ripped and parodied. I loved that "a movie based on your defeat" was ripped. Apology (Beta Mix) crossed the line twice. And I never read the SCP that it was referencing, but the end of the event where The Voice was arrested for "crimes against anime" was hilarious.
