PrideWIshes 2000+ Follower Event !!

Thank you all for the endless support we've received on this blog! It means so much to us! In celebration of the HUGE milestone, we wanted to host an editing challenge for our followers and friends! This event is pride themed, of course, due to our blog theme!

For the challenge, we'd like everyone to make pride related edits (icons, graphics, etc.) AND/OR coin terms / make pride flags based around the theme for each day! Characters/Sources fitting the themes is allowed as well, but the edit MUST involve a pride flag. (Ex. an edit of an angel character with the bisexual flag / an angel related gender).

Every day will have a different theme and this will be going on for a week, going from 4/21 - 4/27! You can make as many edits as you desire, no limit just have fun! Make sure to just tag your edits with #pridewishes2000 and we'll make sure to reblog them! We'll list the daily prompts below!

Are there any specific shapes of icon you like to do? I see your blog is mostly the bordered circles (which are iconic btw) but if a different shape were requested or if you just felt like doing something else what would the protocol be there

I mean I like doing just about anything but we also offer these styles if anyone desires.

borderless circle, bordered square (also unbordered square), faded circle, heart, star (also faded star), and faded heart. we can probably try other shapes if desired?

Hey just wondering why you have a ban on using the gay/mlm flag? If it’s because of potential problematic origins (which I have to admit I’m unfamiliar with if they exist) it seems a bit unfair to include the sunset lesbian flag when the creator of that also has accusations of problematic behavior.

Sorry, I’m not trying to be mean or dismiss your boundaries. I’m just very, very confused and want to be sure this isn’t just a dismissal of gay men as a boring. I’ve seen enough of the of “gay men are gross and inherently misogynistic oppressors” discourse floating around tumblr that I feel the need to vet accounts for my own safety.

Also is there an alternate version you do use or is it a blanket ban on flags for gay men specifically?

I don't want to hear anything about people grasping for straws with Emily gwen it's annoying. We don't use the blue/green flag bc the Gilbert baker one is right there. We use this flag for gay men and will continue to. Or just have us use the cinthean, achillean, or other mlm flags idc. But we are not using the blue/green one right now no. I have no issues with gay men we have Alters who are gay men and I am in a relationship w a gay man .

hey pridewishes Ik so many ppl have asked you how you make pfps, and it must be annoying but I gen don’t understand. Would you be able to make a tutorial- please? Thank you!!!

I can't really. Show a ton bc I don't like people stealing our method and stuff. But you basically just have your shape and use clipping layers to put the flag + images on there. We add overlays and filters that are unique to us and trial and error of what looks good but that's it.
