#I have an AAC app on my phone for these moments#Except even that is really hard for me and requires significant prompting from someone to be able to use#Back when I had partners that tried really hard to help me with this stuff we found the app and programmed in stuff specific to me#So they could say “hey Tony what's got you this upset?” And there were buttons I could hit that would say things like#“flashback” “panic attack” “overwhelmed” “I don't know” plus specifics on what triggered me (if I knew)#But also things like “what's my blood sugar?” If I felt like it was off so they could check it and treat if needed#This was such an improvement on how I used to hide under my bed at college and they would ask why#And the only thing I could ever manage to say was “not safe”#And they'd try to convince me I was safe but they didn't know what was making me feel unsafe so it took like ten times as long to figure ou
