do you think tumblr idols should be a thing?

Like i have seen alot of tumblr users having idol in their username or somewhere else

I mean it COULD work, tumblr is pretty much a good place to build a fanbase... but what do u think???

it could be a thing I think!! to be like traditional idols they'd have to do singing and dancing stuff like covers, and maybe modeling stuff, and at least interact a LOT with their fanbase. they need to constantly market some kinda persona or image

i read up on japanese idols and "net idols" are a thing, so they could happen on Tumblr, but without having something good to offer (consistently) and without a company to market them, itd be hard to gather a fanbase easily

if they should be a thing? maybe, maybe not. it just depends on the person if they can handle it. if it makes someone happy they should go for it :3
