I had a supervisor who, during my interview, gave me the specific outlines for their plans around harassment by guests at the workplace and I'm bummed that job and the managers sucked so much because he was a great guy

I love my job I love my job.....

Okay seriously I'm sitting in the office of my job, at the tail end of doing a double that I didn't expect on doing because ya know what? A coworker who habitually calls off, called off because she needed to go to the hospital.

So since I wasn't told that she wouldn't relieve me I've been trying to get a hold of her and my GM. Got a hold of her and found out yeah hospital... Though still trying to get a hold of my boss (been trying since 8 AM it is now 2 PM and the shift I was supposed to work today starts in an hour....) He isn't replying to texts, and all calls go to voice mail.

Mind you I have only been working this job for 12 days. I am not qualified to really do anything (I can't even do the training materials because I don't have my own login to the computers, I'm not even in the facial recognition clock in yet.)

I have bills to pay, and don't have time to look for another job that you know they have communication and a gm that does their job (In the handbook they say that we should be able to get a hold of our GM ANY TIME) and if you are late or just skip shifts to the point where it interferes with the health of your coworkers and their schedules there should be disciplinary actions made.

Hell housekeeping is amazed that I haven't started cursing the boss out on the phone in his voicemail. I want to go home take a shower and sleep. Though the housekeeping was kind enough to show me how to set up a room just in case I need it. Hopefully I'm not pulling a triple. If I am I'm flat out telling the GM that he has to get someone to cover my shift tomorrow because seriously I will have done 24 of my 40 hours this week, in one day.

And yes I'm ranting here on tumblr instead of emailing Corporate because seriously I don't trust myself not to write an angry letter that would get me fired. I need this job, that is if I ever get paid. I should have gotten my first paycheck Friday, and it's not in my account. I will be calling them on Tuesday if my paycheck isn't there. I took this job because he hired me on the spot when I was sending out a ton of applications because the temp job was ending on the 24th. This is a 50 cents pay cut from that job, but I have bills to pay, and so far yay I'm getting OT, but really I would rather be spending my time doing things I want to do not sitting around waiting for clients to come into the hotel so that I can check them in and out.

And I would LOVE working in a place just once that ya know... ACTUALLY HAS A MANAGEMENT THAT DOES THEIR FUCKING JOB.
