i cannot believe that an actual thing that happens in tgcf is xie lian watching a hualian fluff fanfic of banyue arc (description includes: hooking arms, hugging shoulders, embracing, calling ‘san lang’ with a tone that is not quite yearning) and his only feedback is that the play is 100% true to canon
