Chapter I
The Twins.
~3rd pov~
Y/n L/n, the highschool sweetheart and favored girl of all in Ambrose. Close with the Sinclair family, practically family. Word spread like wildfire when Y/n started to date Beauregard Sinclair, Bo for short; the two hit off when they were only 15 years old.
Bo was the rebellious bad boy in highschool meanwhile Y/n was the sweetest, smartest, and straight A student of the school. The teachers loved her and the principal himself tried to give her advice to not mess around with that boy. Even her own mom warned her.
But Y/n knew in her heart that she loved Bo, no matter what issues he had and she loved his brothers as well. Lester was the weirdo and youngest brother of the trio and was very obvious to Bo that he'd steal his girlfriend away, to which Bo would wrestle him in the front yard of their house.
Vincent on the other hand was the good, innocent one of the brothers. So sweet and generous, quiet and so well behaved; Vincent, who was called Vinny by Y/n, would always be pampered by her giving him compliments and positive words about his looks.
She treated him like a baby brother, even though he was the same age as her and Bo's twin.
"You're so handsome, Vinny!"
"Bo wishes he could have your good looks!"
"I love you so much, Vinny! Your future wife will be so lucky!"
"Vinny! You're so cute!"
"I just wanna hug and kiss you all over! You're the best, Vinny!" She would say and hug him, Vincent said a few words here and there, but he was silent most of the time.
Vincent grew more attached to Y/n, he felt guilty for his growing feelings for her since she was with his brother. But no matter how much Vincent tried to deny it, he knew that he had a crush on Y/n. He doubted she would even date him because of his disfigured face.
Bo would always rub it in his friends faces that he's with such a beautiful girl, the hottest one in town, he'd say. But all of that changed within a whole week, Y/n noticed the sudden changes in her boyfriend, she began to read the signs Vincent was trying to show her, she saw with her own eyes what happened when she turned her back.
And it was pure pain for her; she remembered all that time she had sacrificed for him, all the times he told her loving and encouraging words, and the time they first started dating. . .
~~~
It was Monday: school had just ended and Bo was walking with Lester. Until Y/n came running after them.
"Bo! Lester!!" She yelled before jumping onto Lester's back, making him slightly fumble forwards.
"Jesus, Y/n, don't break my little brother's back now." Bo would smirk.
"Pft, please, you do worse." She smiled.
"Yeah! Yeah, you do worse than riding my back, B!" defended Lester.
Bo scoffed as he rolled his eyes, Y/n climbed off of Lester and walked beside Bo.
"How's Vincent?" She hummed with joy.
"Oh he's fine, why ya always askin' about him? Never me, huh? Looks like you got a crush on my freaky brother, haha- Aye!" He laughed when she punched his arm.
"Vincent isn't freaky, Bo, he's a sweetheart meanwhile you. . ."
"Mm? . . . Imma what?" He grinned.
Y/n just looked away and pouted on purpose, "You're a jerk."
"Aha! I already knew that, Y/n." He chuckled, he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and pulled her to his side.
"Y'know, the beauty pageant is coming up soon. Why don't ya join it?" Lester asked her.
"Awh, come on Lester. I'm pretty sure I'd lose that competition anyway."
"Nah! Come on! You gotta be the most prettiest girl on this side of of Louisiana—in the world actually!" Lester smiled.
Y/n just smiled at his words and nudged his shoulder.
"Thanks, Les, I really appreciate that. And you, Bo, I heard you have a crush on someone in school."
"Tch, please, like I'd have a crush on anyone."
"Mm? Bo, sounds like she's got you wrapped around her finger and she just doesn't know it yet." Y/n teased, "I expected you to be more out loud about it."
Bo rolled his eyes and told Lester to scamper off, he had to stop by the gas station for a minute. Y/n of course followed Bo to tease him some more.
"Come on, tell me who it is!"
"She ain't even interested in me anyway."
"Okay, if she isn't why don't you tell me? It's starting to hurt almost- Huh! Is it Mila?!"
"Mila? Your cousin?"
"Yeah?! Is it?"
"Nah, ya weirdo." He scoffed.
Y/n groaned as he entered a garage, she saw a bright red truck inside of it.
"Okay, not Mila, not Jenny, not Sadie, and not Caroline. . . I'm picking all the pretty ones in school, dammit. Bo! Tell me!"
Bo just laughed as he opened the hood of the red truck.
"Bo, if you tell me your crush, I-. . . I'll tell you mine!", Bo paused and glanced at Y/n, curious and wondering who she liked.
". . . How 'bout we say it at the same time, hm?" He asked as he walked in front of her. Y/n felt her blush masking her entire face as she looked at Bo, his young face and silk yet smoothed back hair, black leather jacket with dirty blue jeans. He definitely looked like an old fashioned Greaser.
"At the same time?" She repeated.
"Yep."
"Okay. . . Three. . . Two. . . One—You!!" She said.
But Bo didn't speak up, she covered her mouth and stared at him.
"Why didn't you say anything?!!" She yelled.
"So I'm your crush, huh?" He smirked at her.
". . . I'm leaving." She turned around and began to walk away until Bo grabbed her arm.
"Nah! No! I'm not gonna play your games-"
"Shh, don't worry. I'm not gonna rat ya out to anyone, darlin'. Meet me later, alright?"
". . . Where?"
"By the church, I'll be there around midnight."
"Midnight!? Bo, you know my father, he'll-"
"He won't know. . . Don'tcha trust me?" He grinned. Y/n sighed but nodded.
"Hm hm, good. I'll be seein' you later tonight then, don't be late, alright?" He said.
"Okay. . . I-I won't." She whispered.
"Good girl~" he whispered as he lifted her chin to look at him.
His blue eyes just flooding her mind, forever burning that view in her memory.
"Seeya later, ya minx~" he chuckled before letting her go as he walked away.
~~~
Y/n woke up from her dream, sighing as she turned over to her side on her bed. Even after all these years, he still comes back to haunt her mind.
"Y/n! Get up!!" Mila yelled from her door.
"Leave me alone." She groaned in her bed.
Mila ignored her words and entered her room, jumping right on the bed beside her.
"Mila!"
"I couldn't help myself, the bed is really comfy! Come on, aren't you coming with us?!" She asked with glowing eyes of excitement.
"No."
"What? Why? You always chicken out at the last minute-"
"I never wanted to go, I don't want to go, and I never chickened out. I just can't wait to have the house to myself."
Mila was a roommate of hers, and their friends stayed close. Even though Y/n barely considered them friends, more like annoying acquaintances.
"Fine, but you still have to check if my packages arrive!" Mila said before getting up.
Y/n only growled as she continued to sleep.
~~~
Mila and her friends packed up the truck and started to get inside of it.
"I thought your cousin was coming?" Wade asked.
"Nah, she doesn't like big games." Mila sighed, "Come on! I don't wanna be late."
Mila caught a glance at a teenager beside his twin sister named Carly; he looked at her and caused a blush to form on her cheeks. She got inside of the car and sat on the far right seat in the back behind Carly.
~At a Pitstop~
"There's a place in Tribeca for-"
"That's too expensive. The money I saved up won't cover two months' rent. I'm gonna have to work every second I'm not in class until graduation." Carly said to Mila while reading a newspaper.
"Carly, don't even think about not going." Mila chastised, "You can't-"
"I'm not." Carly replied.
"Good. Because you know how proud we are of you." Paige responded.
"It's just an internship." Carly mumbled.
"At InStyle magazine. Or would you rather stay at the Waffle House as a waitress forever?" Paige asked her.
"No, thanks." Carly said.
"Yeah. That's what I thought." Mila grinned.
"Hey, babe." Wade said as he walked over to Carly's side of the table—taking a seat beside her.
"Hi. Sorry, there were these two drunk rednecks wrestling in the bathroom." He excused himself.
"Really?" Mila scoffed.
"There's no rednecks in New York." Paige said.
"No. There's not." Wade answered.
"I'm gonna go see what Blake's doing. He seems to like that car more than me nowadays." Paige sighed while standing to leave.
"I'll just put these on. Don't mind me then." Mila giggled as she slid on her headphones.
"Now that we have a second—And l'm not trying to make this a big deal. You know l want to have a good time on our road trip this weekend. But why on earth did your brother have to come with us? You said your parents weren't gonna post his bail anymore." Wade said to Carly.
"They didn't. Blake did. He invited him. l guess Nick makes him feel more badass. l don't know." Carly suggested.
~Y/n pov~
"Yeah, I know. It's great news." I mumbled into the phone.
"Great news? Y/n, this is excellent news! You're paintings went up for thousands at the gala! Bob Ross was impressed and wanted to schedule a meeting with you, live on TV!!"
"Wait, Bob Ross?" I repeated.
"Yes! Bob Ross!"
". . . Wow. . . That's good?"
"Y/n, what's wrong with you? I thought you were an ultimate fan of his works-?"
"I gotta go, I need to finish another painting before I send it off."
"Oh, okay. Have a good day, I'll schedule the meeting!"
"Yeah, have fun with that. Bye."
"Bye-!"
I let the phone drop on the table—resting my arms and head on it as I started to doze off. I managed to send Mila a "Be safe," text before I slipped into my nap time slumber.
~~~
Me and Bo had been together for two years straight, and our love was the towns greatest treasure. Or something else. But Bo was the greatest boy I've ever come to know, he'd take me out to dinner, hike with me, buy me things and me the same to him.
But I could never thank him for signing me up for a beauty pageant with my mother behind my back! I couldn't believe Bo signed me up for the stupid beauty pageant, my mom only egged him on more to do it. Even though I'd rather choose Merida, Mulan or Tiana, unfortunately those slots were already taken by other girls who signed up.
This pageant focused more on your inner princess, a girl's purity, our innocence when we were just young girls who loved the knight in shining armor. Who represented our inner spirits the most.
My cheeks were dusted with blush and my lip gloss glistening. I was meant to represent Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Last year's pageant was based around beautiful historical women, the year before that was a beautiful Egyptian theme. Now it's princesses, real or fake.
My mother and Mila both voted for Belle since I liked books a lot and Bo would call me his favorite Southern Belle since even I reminded him of the princess figure. It was stupid. But here I was sitting in a room on a chair while my mother did my makeup just like Belle's.
"Mom, I really don't wanna do this. I don't even remember the moves-!"
"You'll be just fine, Y/n. Just calm down." She smiled.
"I'm so happy for this, you have no idea how much I wanted to see you get all glamored up!" She giggled.
"It's here!" Mila gasped as she entered the room.
"What's here?" I asked.
"The dress! Eee! The dress is here! Your mom and Aunt Trudy both worked on it, that's why we needed your measurements, duh!" Mila smiled.
"M-My dress?" I stuttered.
"Yes~ heheh, Bo is gonna be drooling all over you~"
"Shut up, Mila." I lightly hissed.
After my hair was done I was led to the hall and down the path into another room while my mom covered my eyes.
"There she is!" I heard Bo's mom, Trudy, greet me, "Awh, she's so beautiful!"
"T-Thank you, Mrs. Sinclair." I whispered, my mom uncovered my eyes and I saw Trudy before my eyes landed on the most beautiful dress I've ever seen in person before.
"Oh. . . My-"
"Surprise!!!" They all said.
Tumblr media
"We already have the red roses to pin on once you get it on." Mila said.
"I have the golden gloves." Trudy added.
"I have the tiara." My mom replied.
I slowly walked up to the big dress and grazed the collar of it with my fingertips. It was silk and some different soft fabric, it was strong but also gentle to touch.
"We have the shoes, right?"
"Correct!"
I drowned out their voices as I looked at the dress. I've never worn anything as beautiful as this before.
"I gotta take a breather."
"Don't mess up your makeup!" My mother warned.
I shook my head and exited the room, I walked towards the stairway and downstairs to the backyard. The grass was green and the birds were chirping their usual repeating songs. I couldn't calm down from today.
The beauty pageant and most of the girls here in Ambrose were going, it was one to a million chance that I'll even win the grand prize. Five thousand dollars and a free year's worth of beauty salon treatment, and of course the usual beauty crown with a trophy.
It was all stupid to me. I'd rather steal the money instead of parading around in a yellow dress that was out of this world beautiful.
"There's my favorite Southern Belle." Bo's voice said behind me.
"Bo." I couldn't help but giggle when he hugged me from behind, pressing a kiss to my neck and another below my ear, "Bo~" I chuckled.
"So beautiful, y'know that?" He asked me.
"Y-Yeah, I know." I grinned.
He turned me around by my hips and looked me in the eyes, sweet cheese and crackers, his blue eyes were so damn beautiful. My blush betrayed me and I looked down at our feet instead until he tipped my chin up with his knuckle everso sweetly.
"What's wrong? You look upset, Belle?" He asked me with a soft voice.
"I-It's just. . . I'm not sure about this, I mean, what if I mess up and-?"
"You ain't gonna mess up, your my beautiful and perfect Southern Belle. You 'member those moves, you know what to do, you just gotta be confident." He told me, his southern drawl adding a bigger effect to my nervousness around him.
Even though we've been dating for two years, I still reacted to him like a shy schoolgirl with a crush. Our mothers thought it was sweet.
"C'mon, I wanna show you something." He took my hand and led me towards a garage.
This house was my father's, he was a highly paid Management Consultant. He would travel a lot but he would always make time for his family, my mother loved him so dearly and he was head over heels for her. Me and Mila were ever considered lucky if we didn't hear them making love to each other next door at night.
My father even told me that he was holding off his next flight out to Tahiti since the pageant was here. Mila even said that she was planning on going with him to Tahiti, heavens knows when they'll even be back, probably next year or something if you don't include Christmas break.
The house was big in some sorts but the garage was Bo's favorite place ever since my father let him keep it whenever he needed to work on anything. That's where he brought me—he opened the door and revealed a red bright shining truck.
Freshly painted and look newly made.
"Oh my-! Bo! This- this is beautiful! Is this one of your sellers?!" I asked him as I ran up to the beauty.
"It is one of mine but. . . It's for you." He said.
I froze—snapping around to look at his face, "N-No. . . No it's not." I mumbled.
"All yours, beautiful." He smirked before showing me the keys in his fingers.
"Shit! Bo! This is so much- I can't pay up with this!"
"No need to pay me back, Belle~ I just want your love is all~" he grinned before walking up to me, "I'm gonna wife you up one of these days~"
"Hm hm hm, I can't wait for that day to arrive then." I flirted back.
He brought grazed his lips over mine before smirking again.
"You outta get dolled up, Belle~"
"And you call me the Minx~" I sighed, so needy for his kiss.
"Cause you are. Makin' me wait all this time, but I get it, I'm waiting til you're ready." He whispered in my ear, his soft kisses lingering on my shoulder and up my craning neck.
A exhilarating airy moan fell from my lips as he held me closer by the hips, "Bo~"
"What is it?~" he mumbled.
"I wanted to tell you something." I said while gently pushing his chest back.
"What's wrong?" He questioned.
". . . I. . . I think I'm ready to do it." I mumbled.
"Ready? For what?"
I looked at him and waited, I think now was the perfect time. We've been waiting until I was ready, of course to lose my v-
"Y/n!! The dress!!" Trudy called for me.
"Ugh." I groaned.
"Don't worry, I'll be there, sugar~"
"I'm sure~ Now, I gotta go before I'm late!" I giggled before kissing him, turning to run off, "I love the gift, Bo!"
"And I love you, ya minx!"
~~~
My eyes finally opened from the dream. Why was this coming back into my head now? I don't want to remember any of it.
Scooting my seat back—I stood and walked over to the sink, grabbing a cup and preparing to make myself some tea.
"Dumbass." I chastised myself.
~3rd pov~
The teens had already set up camp in the woods, already starting a campfire and their tents with some food and beer. Mila already dancing to some music as Paige and her boyfriend made out on a chair. Nick, Carly's twin brother, drank his beer in piece as Wade flirted with Carly.
Until a truck with blinding lights approached—shining them with the lights and causing everyone to freeze up.
"Hey, yo, man. you need something?" Blake asked as Paige remained in his lap.
"W-What does he want?" Mila muttered to Nick as she stood beside his chair.
"Hey, can you turn off your lights. Please?" Wade asked.
"Okay. this is getting kind of creepy." Paige said to Blake.
"Hey, come on. man. get out of here. Nothing to see here. Let's go." Blake called.
"Can we help you?" Wade asked aloud.
"Maybe we're on his property." Carly said.
"No. we didn't pass a gate." Wade answered as he shielded his eyes from the lights.
"Hey, man, turn your lights off!" Blake said.
"Hello!" Wade added
"Hey, I'm serious man, turn them lights off, or l'm whupping someone's ass!" Blake threatened until Wade stopped him.
"It's cool, man."
Nick stood up and took his beer bottle before throwing it straight at the headlight of the truck—breaking the light.
"Nick!" Carly and Mila gasped.
The truck slowly pulled out and left the area, leaving the teens relieved.
"Yeah!" Mila laughed.
"That was great. That was great. dude."  Blake smiled.
"My man Nick here's hardcore." Dalton laughed.
"What the hell was that about, huh?" Carly scolded him.
"You the man. dude. That was awesome." Dalton smiled.
"Don't encourage him." Carly reprimanded.
"Come on. he's gone."
~~~
Early in the morning, the teens woke up, Blake saw the clock and saw that they were late.
"Damn it. Hey. it's 2:30! Get up! Let's go, guys. Get up. Get up! Wade, Dalton, let's go! We're gonna miss the damn game. Nick, Get up! Damn!" He cursed as he threw a pillow at their tent to wake the rest up.
"Dude, you see my camera anywhere?" Dalton asked.
"No, man." Wade answered.
"You guys seen my camera?"
"Like l give a shit about it." Nick replied.
"So you and Wade talk some more?" Paige asked as Carly used the restroom in the woods.
"We're just in different Places right now." Carly replied behind a bush, "He hasn't given me a guilt trip for going so l can't give him one for staying."
"Nick isn't that bad." Mila said.
"You still got a crush on him?" Paige grinned.
"No, I just think that Nick is having a hard time is all."
"Hard time? Seriously, he's the one who causes hard times." Carly scoffed.
The wind blew a putrid smell that they caught last night, rotting and filled with disgust within their senses.
"Oh shit. there's that smell again." Mila gagged.
"l think it's coming from over there." Paige muttered.
The three girls decided to venture towards the smell to figure out what was causing it—only for Mila and Carly to fall and slip down a small hill, their hands and arms submerging into dead, rotting animal corpses.
"AHHH!!!" They screamed.
"Carly! Mila!!"
"Help!! Help us!!" They shouted.
"Guys! Get down here!" Paige yelled.
"Carly! Carly!" Wade shouted as he ran towards their voices along with the other boys who followed him.
"Hey! Hey!"
"Mila!" They all clamored.
"We can't get out!" Mila squealed.
"l'm here. hold on! Hold on, baby." Wade said to Carly as Nick and Blake both helped Mila
"Wade, where are you?!" Carly yelped.
"Carly. l'm right here. Here. Grab me, baby. Come on." Wade said—pulling her up as Mila was lifted from the corpses.
"Come on. l got you. Get up here." Nick said to Mila.
"You all right? Oh, man." Wade sighed as he saw the blood over her arms and shirt, "There's a roadkill Pit down here."
"Yeah. that smells about right." Nick scoffed.
"Baby, you okay?" Blake asked Paige who nodded her head, "I got you. It's okay."
"Hey, is that the truck from last night?" Mila asked as a old truck approached the roadkill pit.
"Not unless he fixed his headlight." Wade said.
The stranger got out of the truck and started to drag out the corpses on the bed of his truck.
"Hey! Don't you see that?" One of them asked the stranger—pointing at a human hand sticking out of the roadkill pile.
"What is that?" Carly muttered.
"No way." Mila whispered, clinging into Nick's arm.
"What are you doing, man?"
The stranger approached the arm and started to grab the hand—twisting it and snapping it off, revealing it to be a mannequin.
"Anyone need a hand? l'm just fooling. lt's not real, see?" He said before knocking on the fake hand.
"God." Blake sighed.
"I found it on the side of the road a few weeks ago." The stranger said, slender and slightly short. He was dirty and also wore a hat, "What are you guys doing here?"
"Just camping over there." Dalton replied.
"Hey, is there a gas station around here?" Wade questioned him.
"Well, l got some gas in the truck if-?"
"l need a fan belt." Wade sighed.
"What?" Blake asked.
"Just busted." Wade muttered.
"Of course. Perfect." Blake scoffed.
"Bo might have one. Runs a station in Ambrose."
"Where's that?" Wade asked, Mila wasn't paying attention due to watching Nick.
"It's fifteen miles up the road." He said.
"Let's just get one in Baton Rouge." Blake suggested.
"Man. there's no way l'm leaving my car. What if that guy from last night strips it?" Wade reminded.
"You're gonna miss the game then."
"Yeah, well, that's not why l came." Wade said.
"What're you gonna do later?" Mila asked Nick, he glanced at her and moved his arm away.
"Nothing." He muttered.
"Maybe we could talk, y'know, hangout-?"
"I'm not interested." He plainly said.
"Nick's all gloomy cuz your hot cousin didn't come with us." Dalton laughed before being punched in the arm by Nick.
"Ow, man!"
"Shut up." Nick growled.
"That's right. . . Of course he has eyes for Y/n. . . Everyone does. . ." Mila thought to herself.
Her hands becoming fists as she cursed Y/n's name in her mind.
To be continued.

PORTWELL LONG GAME OR RINA SLOWBURN.
You can only choose one poison.🍷
Listen up my Wildcats.🐱
We all ship each character with happiness. No matter how much you love to hate them, a majority of us simply adores the characters and want the best for them. Then comes relationships and it's okay to ship our favorites.⛴
I'm a diehard Rina shipper and I know in my heart that they are series endgame. The set up, the natural chemistry, their mutual understanding, the surprises and angst literally put me on chokehold. So I'm 100% a Rina shipper till the end. I'm here for the slowburn and their development rather than one shots. They are worth the pain. 😭❤
Tumblr media
Let me start with Ricky Bowen now.
Ricky shouldn't to be with Gina because he's hurting her mentality. He's not insensitive on purpose. Like when he tried to stop Big Red from telling her his message to Nina because he KNOWS it'll hurt her.
If you think, that Ricky didn't understand clearly when Gina confessed, think again. He shushed her. Kept their thing a secret from everyone. He knows he feels some type of way and she feels something too. But this boy is so used to safeguarding his childhood norms and has very little adaptability. Hence, he pretended to ignore everything between them because his home stability was falling apart and he clinged on to Nina, his constant childhood love.
He's a traumatised 16-17 year old boy that needs to heal and grow. This episode was heartbreaking because he had to accept that he had to let Nina go because their once upon a time fairytale had become toxic.
People change. I'm not the same person I was when I was 16 lmao. Being together as childhood lovers means growing together and accepting each other's growth. Which Ricky couldn't. He clutched to the idea of Nini. Even his love confession. It was sooo sweet but all he did was focus on their history.
This boy needs time to heal and maybe seek professional therapy. It would be so DAMN HISTORIC if Disney decides to take psychological issues seriously and show how he's dealing with his anxiety, pills and psychotherapy. He needs to breathe before he can be with any girl for that matter. He's hurting and isn't trying to hurt anyone on purpose. Including Gina.
Him asking her for advice on Nini was a dumb, insensitive move. But he's trying to find a way to build some supportive friendship that they shared in early season one.
As for now, this boy needs to get his own grip on life and heal.
Tumblr media
As for our Queen Gina
In Gina's confession, she focuses on their future. She basically said, "I wouldn't quit on a possible future of us being together despite obstacles. Because I never quit. But moving away isn't in my control." Ricky deep down knows this, encouraged her to say it, teary eyed, despite right after getting back together with Nini. Gina is his future. She went to his new house. And I also have this feeling that when she was given a chance to stay, she stayed partly because of Ricky. She left a chance to be with her mom because she prioritised their relationship. Because she never quits. 💪🏼
But she came back and found out Ricky has gotten back together with Nini.😭 What she doesn't know is Ricky got together with Nina before her confession, and after Gina kept dodging his messages. She's hurt and questions why she returned because she isn't particularly close to anyone. Hence, she was so silent at the after party. She thinks it'll be fine, "she'll live", and finds other reasons to find permanence. Her arc this season has been settling down in East High, despite the pain of losing and being 'betrayed' by Ricky, she finds other reasons to stay. 🏡
This kind of contrasts her with Nina. Nina left her dream school and came to Salt Lake because she missed her established home, and not just because of Ricky. Nina returned and was loved and embraced by Ricky Bowen.💕 Gina came back to a semi new place called Salt Lake because of her promise of a future to Ricky. But she got stabbed and she bled. 💔🗡
Think about her situation. She feels confused, alone, heartbroken, out of place and seperated from her mom. She's broken and hurting too. And she doesn't need more from Ricky's accidental or intentional 'sick burns'. That's the one line where he was such a jerk and I can't defend him here. 😠
Tumblr media
Here comes the Caswells.
Her second family. A place of healthy stability. A home that accepted her. Ashlyn, her roomie and her confidante. EJ, the misunderstood boy who saw her value and bought her plane ticket.
Let's get to EJ.
At first, I wasn't too keen on seeing Portwell's development. But then that video chat where they talk about the possibility of her staying and him convincing her. Had me sold for a solid brother-sister relationship. Few episodes later, when Gina's pain seemed to be oblivious to everyone, he was the only one who asked her how she was, and saw her glow. The comfort she must've felt.
Tumblr media
Not that she needs a man's validation, but she must be feeling like a second choice and feeling a little insecure because of Ricky. But EJ lifts her up and I genuinely saw her smile. This boy has her back whenever. The man she can lean on and truly sees how special she is. She no longer feels alone now that she has his entire fam and other friends. She genuinely feels a place of belonging and happiness when she's the apple of his eye. Notice how happy she is? How happy this boy is? She's going through her own issues and she has found ground with EJ.
I was very doubtful when they started hinting at a romantic direction. Because EJ would be used as plot device again for a girl to get to Ricky.😤 This man doesn't deserve to be second best to anyone, just like Gina.😑 That's why I'm still hesitant on shipping them at least temporarily. EJ needs to be something even more special to Gina. They need to show each other how special and treasured they are to each other despite feeling like rejects. They are each other's source of comfort.
Tumblr media
I'm sure they can keep EJ at East High for the next season. Whether it's the drama club, or the AV club or going to a local college. So he will be there for Gina. I don't know how they can work out a relationship with much distance as Rini's fell out when she moved away. So, if EJ leaves again, it'll again shake up Gina. Her being worried whether he'll date college girls, second thoughts, etc. I don't want them to go through that. And if they do move on to romantic Portwell, make sure it's not plot device for Rina. So you can either have Portwell endgame or Rina Endgame.
Basically I want Gina to be treated so right that she understands she doesn't need Ricky. And when he does ask her out, and he makes her feel like a second choice or a rebound, she says NO. Because EJ has helped regain her self assurance. Eventually I want Gina to confide in EJ about her and Ricky. EJ is jealous but also angry about how Ricky has been hurting her. And becomes damn protective of his 'babe'. Ricky gets jealous of their relationship, restarting Ricky and EJ's old rivalry. But this time, it's not because Gina is his girlfriend, but because she's EJ's best friend who he has a crush on and wants what's best for her.
If it's meant to be Rina endgame
EJ- RICKY, YOU IDIOT! You have no clue how to treat her right. You don't put her first. You mislead her. Get the hell away from her! She's too powerful and beautiful, she doesn't deserve your scraps. I know how she feels for you. I wish I were you. I would treat her like a queen. I don't mind even waiting years till she's ready. She deserves that. You're so lucky you have even a small chance that I may never have. So get your act together, prove you're worth it to win her over. All I want is for her to be happy. Even if it's with someone else. And maybe then I'll stop threatening you to stay away from her.😠
Ricky- .....I don't know what I'm more scared of. Change, or losing the girl I fell for or YOU. Okay, losing her but you're a close second.😬
If it's Portwell endgame.
Ricky- I messed up. Make sure you don't mess up with her. You'll regret it forever.
EJ- I'd rather get hit by thousand basketballs than ever hurt her. I'll be her plus one and her best friend until she's ready to be with me. I know she's ready now too. But I want her to know I'm willing to wait till she graduates before we make it official. I'm in it for the long game.
As for their age gap. I'm 100% sure Portwell won't kiss this season. If they do, it'll be next when Sofia turns 18. They are professional actors who are cast because they are the perfect fit for the role and are expected to carry out the storyline. But I suppose fearing some outbursts, they might delay Sofia kissing anyone till next season. It's so weird because Olivia was maybe 17 when Matt was 21-22 when they kissed in season one. But no one had a problem with that. But for this, they do. Remember, they are professional actors. They are acting! Sometimes, actors are over 10 years apart (but above 18) and act as romantic partners.
As for their characters, they are only two years apart. That's hardly any difference once you're over the age of 18. Age of consent is 16. But adults above 18 are only allowed to have sex with adults above 18. So, age isn't a problem here because EJ is a gentleman and is genuinely interested in her and isn't trying to get in her pants. So age isn't the issue when it comes to dating. It's the maturity. Gina is very mature and gives very sound advice. But I can see EJ being patient enough till she turns 18 just to kiss her because he loves her. 😚
As for the Ashlyn remark, "You look like a kid to me rn". He was JOKING.😂 Don't take things out of context. I tell my cousin sister that all the time. But she's three years younger than me and a grown adult. I don't see her as a kid but it's just a cousin teasing her younger cousin that's she's a little immature. I'm Matt's age and I'm very mature for my age and since I was a teenager, I always matched up with boys a little older than me. Now that I'm in my early 20s, I've dated boys even close to 30. So age is just a number.
EJ dating Gina and giving her quick kisses is fine. But to have a strong sexual element in their relationship (including making out), he'll have to wait till she's 18+. And I'm sure for that he'll wait till she's ready even past her early 20s. Age is really just a number and we can't help who we fall in love with. Trust me, I've been there.😂 So I can see EJ feeling conflicted about his feelings that are clear at this point.
They might not be a perfect fit, but they make each other sooo happy. They deserve a lot more than a short lived fling.😟 They are either endgame or Rina is. You can't have both as a Rina unless you're an EJ hater who wants him to exist as plot device. Nope! He's sooo much more precious than that.
But Jack on the other hand....I'm okay if he's the one to make Ricky or EJ jealous. Because he's just been introduced and it's okay if a character is used, but only once, for someone else to realize their feelings. 💁🏽‍♀️
In short.
Ricky needs help and needs to be on his own. No girlfriends allowed.🙅🏽‍♀️🚫
Needs to give both Gina and Nina space for them to grow on their own too.🌳
Ricky needs to understand the core of his problems and become more adaptable via therapy. Maybe the psychologist will point out his unresolved feelings for Gina, or he will conclude it himself. And in comes Ricky-pining-for-Gina season three.
Ricky needs to fully get over Nina before he moves on to anyone. Same for Gina if Portwell were to happen. No one deserves to be second choice.
Gina isn't Ricky's cushion. She's a living person with strong feelings for him and shouldn't be subjected to share his pain. She already struggles with her own issues.
Ricky needs to stay single till he wins back Gina and prove he's worth it. He needs to show even if another girl wants him, he'll never quit on Gina ever again. Even if he has to watch her be with someone else. *cough parallels*.
It's either romantic Rina then Portwell endgame OR Portwell flirty besties but Rina endgame. You and I can choose only one because my boy EJ shouldn't be used as plot device for a girl to leave for Ricky ever again.
Portwell's age difference can be practically solved and isn't much of an issue unless they get hot and heavy before Gina turns 18 which is impossible considering this is Disney. 🤣🤣
Jack and Gina will be plot device material and purely so sentimental to us OG Andi Mack fans. More than any ship, this is what I'm looking for. Sort of an Andi Mack crack ship for season 3a. It's gonna be soooo funny. 😍😂
Tumblr media
I respect everyone's ship. I see what you're seeing. And I'm not going to invalidate your ship. But unless it's done right, I won't jump from the Rina ship. I liked Rini. I like Portwell. I like AU Juffy crackship haha.😂 But as for me, I'm still holding on to Rina slowburn.
Preparing myself for the pain. 😭🔥
(But if I had to pair two characters without Disney getting in the way, it would be Gini. The power duo. Undeniable chemistry. They can be written so well because of their layered relationship and contrasting personalities.🤩 The classic rivals to friends to lovers. But that's a talk for another day lmao.)
Thanks for reading my opinion, Wildcat!🐱❤

The guy turned to leave before looking back over his shoulder at the door, his hand on the door handle.
"If it makes any difference I would choose you over your brother any day." He winked as he left the room.
"What the actual fuck." You shout, storming out of the bathroom in a huff. "There's no way he's gunna stay quiet, it'll be all over the press come tomorrow." You paced the room, your heart beating fast as the adrenaline rushed through you. This was it, this was how it was all going to end. Liam would know as soon as he saw the headlines, all those late night and weekend conferences at the same time as Chris was conveniently away with work.
"To be fair, he does have good taste in men." Chris' usual nonchalance annoyed you, how come he could stay so calm? Why did he make you sound like a crazy person for actually worrying about what might happen.
"It's really not funny Chris, do you want our business known by strangers before we even have chance to speak to Liam and your Mom Chris, she's going to hate me." You feel the warm tears dripping down your cheeks before you even register you're crying. The thought of their mom hating you upsets you more than the thought of Liam hating you. Cathy, their mom was like your own mother, from day one she'd taken you under her wing.
"My Mom would love you no matter what, you know she thinks of you as her own daughter. It's me she's going to blame, Liam's her baby."
"Yeah you're probably right but still what are we gunna do?"
"Let's relax babe, you don't know what's going to happen and you can't change it if it does happen so what's the use in worrying about it. Come here."
"You piss me off Chris, you're so laid back. This isn't something you can just sweep under the carpet. It's serious." You needed to take your anger out on him, to let it all out so you could feel better. The four walls of the hotel room were becoming claustrophobic, you wish you could just put your headphones on and just run for a while to clear your head, that's what you usually did.
"I know it is but what can we do? I've done everything we can do, now it's out of our hands. We'll work it out tomorrow, can we enjoy our last night together without all the serious talk?" He raises his eyebrow at you, smiling that sweet, goofy smile of his that has your heart melting.
"You piss me off even more when you look at me like that. I can't stay mad at you and how could I say no to that?" You put your arms around his back, loving the way his height makes you feel so small and safe. He wraps his arms around you, stroking your hair and holding you close.
"That's why I love you yanno."
"Why?" You ask, looking up at him through your eyelashes, your neck stretching to reach his height.
"Because you never say no." He laughs, a real laugh that you can feel on his toned stomach, shaking against you. It was the best feeling hearing him laugh like that, it'd been so long since you'd heard him laugh. Your life being full of a lot of drama and upset recently that you were appreciative of the little time you had left together.
"Maybe I should start then." You pout pretending to sulk.
"No way, I love how easy you are." He picks you up so you can wrap your legs around him, looking down on him for once. You punch him lightly on his shoulder, still pouting. "Ok, ok I'll stop teasing. You know why I love you though."
"Tell me."
He sits down on the end of the bed with you still in his arms, resting on his great big, thick thighs. He moves your hair behind your ears so he can see your face, studying it carefully with a look of adoration in his eyes.
"I love you because you're absolutely drop dead gorgeous, I mean the first time I met you, you literally knocked the air from my lungs. I've been obsessed with you ever since." He shuffles slightly beneath you, getting himself comfy. "This would never have happened with just anyone, I'm not a dick that goes around sleeping with his brothers girls." You give him a questioning look, your eyebrows furrowing. "Seriously, it took fucking everything in me to try and resist you. I'd never felt that before, never been one of them that wants what they can't have. Until I met you. Fuck me you were an absolute bombshell." You frown at him. "Are, still are a bombshell, don't look at me like that." He laughs.
"Tell me more." You whisper, feeling yourself tear up at his revelations as you run your hand through his hair, his eyes closing as you do.
"Am I stroking your ego?" He smiles slyly. "Do you remember the first time you met me?"
"Of course I do, me and Liam had already been together a year but you'd been in Australia. I was eighteen, young and dumb..."
"And full of..."
"Do not even finish that sentence, you're ruining the moment." He laughs at you but quickly gets back to being serious.
"You were eighteen and ridiculously mature for your age, I was twenty six and still acted like a teenager. I remember you walking in in that little denim skirt and tank top, smiling at me with that beautiful smile. The first thing I noticed was your eyes, the way they lit up when you smiled. You had me right at that moment, I was smitten. Then you introduced yourself as Liam's girlfriend and my heart sank."
"I can't believe you remembered what i was wearing, it was twelve years ago." You kiss his forehead, holding his face in your hands. So glad you had the opportunity to talk like this, knowing all this made you know you hadn't made a mistake. "I was so nervous walking up to you, I'd only ever seen you on photos and crushing on you when you were in home and away. Then you're there in front of me looking sexy as hell and I knew I had to make a good impression."
"Little did you know, five years later I'd be bending you over that table and giving you everything you'd been searching for?" He questioned, raising his eyebrow at you with a smirk.
"No, dick! Little did I know you'd sweep me off my feet and make me question everything I ever knew."
"I am a dick but that's why you love me isn't it?"
"Your ego definitely doesn't need stroking. I fell in love with Liam when I was still a girl and I fell in love with you when I was a woman. People change, needs change and..."
"And I give you everything you need." His hand travelled to your ass pulling you into him, pressing against his growing erection.
"You do, you need to work on your arrogance though." You laugh. "But seriously I'm done with all this now, we can't go on like this anymore. I want all of you, all of the time."
"So you've made your decision." His lips part, his head resting against your forehead.
"Was there ever any doubt?" You question, running your finger over his lip and grinding against him subtly making him groan.
"Fuck Y/N, I fucking love you so much it's crazy." He says through gritted teeth, holding the small of your back as you raise your hips, your face contorting with need. "What would you do if I asked you to marry me?" His hand travelled down the back of your shorts, cupping your ass in his hands.
"What do you think?" You tease, taking his bottom lip in your teeth and pulling gently.
"I don't know, that's why I'm asking." His face was set seriously, he wasn't joking, he wanted to marry you.
"Of course I'd say yes, once we'd dealt with everything." You smile watching his face light up.
"You're going to be Mrs Hemsworth and mine, not Liam's. I can't fucking wait." He picks you up, gripping your ass making you squeel before planting you back on the bed on your back.
Leaning over you, his palm caressing your stomach, kneeding your breasts with his long fingers. His erection poking into your clothed heat.
"You're so fucking perfect, are you ready to cause destruction?"
"Like now, in bed or?..."
"You know what I mean." He laughs, reaching down to attach his lips to your neck, sucking gently.
"If it means I get you then yeah, I'm ready."
"Right answer. You've made me the happiest fucking man in the world yanno?" His hand moves under your top, pushing it up to your chin as his lips finally meet yours. Kissing you deeply with everything he's got, your body rising from the bed to meet his.
"I think... I can... Make you even happier." You say between kisses, pushing down his boxers, your nails scratching his skin gently as you do.
He rests on one elbow watching you free his cock from its barrier. You cup his balls in your hand, stroking along the length of his cock with the other. He groans, pushing himself into your hands.
"I'll be happier once I'm buried inside this perfect pussy." He kneels between your legs, pulling your panties off before hovering back over you.
"Go slow baby, I want to feel everything." You whisper.
"Fuck, I can't guarantee how long I'll last." He moans, lining himself up and slipping in making you both moan as his cock stretches your walls perfectly.
He rests on his elbows, holding your face in his hands as he gently thrusts into you, wrapping your legs around him and pushing him in further, deeper. Hitting your spot with the curl of his hips, agonisingly slowly. You look into each others eyes, his forehead resting against yours. Tears in your eyes from the intense intamacy.
"I love you Y/N." He declares gruffly, his voice deep with lust.
"I love you too." You whimper.
Moaning everytime his thighs connected with yours, flesh slapping together, bringing your hips up to meet him. Him grunting with every thrust, your sex noises filling the otherwise silent room. The sound like a symphony to your ears, turning you on even more to hear his exclamations of ecstacy.
"It's always been you Chris." You whisper, making his pace become sloppy, losing his composure and restraint at your words. You can see it on his face as it twists, his cock twitching inside of you.
"Come for me baby." He grits his teeth, the muscles in his jaw tightening as his body goes rigid.
"Ah fuck." He brings you over the edge with the last of his powerful thrusts, your legs shaking around him, the feeling of satisfaction melting through your body simultaneously. A proud look on his face as you both come together and he falls limply onto your sweat laced body.
You stay like that for a while, both enjoying the moment, his cock still twitching inside of you. The heaviness of his body burying you into the mattress but you don't complain.
You don't want him to move, you want to memorise the feel of his heaviness and how his cock feels inside of you. How his rough face feels against your smooth skin, his hair tickling under your chin. You trace the muscles on his back, the defined shoulders and lean waist. Your hands gripping his tight, round ass and you close your eyes, remembering every dip and ripple, dreading the thought of being without him in your arms for at least another couple of weeks.
"I don't know how I'm going to watch you walk away tomorrow." He rolls on to his side, pulling you into him. "I think that's the hardest thing to deal with out of everything."
"I was just thinking the same thing." You looked up at him through your eyelashes, your fingers brushing against his tight pecs. "You know we've been doing this for nearly 6 years now and I don't think I've ever felt as close to you as I do now. It's going to be even harder for me to leave this time."
"I don't even want to think about it but we only have hours left together, what's our plan?"
"You mean when and how do we tell Liam?" You ask sitting cross legged in the bed, reality kicking back in. You have to go home to Liam and leave Chris all over again, back to the lies and sneaking about.
"That and when am I going to be able to see you again? I don't want to wait as long as last time, you know how crazy i start getting when I don't see you."
"We've got your cousin's wedding next week. I'll see you there." You risk a glance at him, pain set on his face.
"You'll see me but you'll be arm in arm with Liam and I'll be alone again."
"How about once the weddings over and done with, we can tell Liam about us?" You watch his face change, like a little boy.
"A week? I can do that, I think. But I'm not going to the wedding alone."
"What do you mean? A date? With who?" Panic laced in your voice.
"I don't know but I'm sure I won't be short of options."
"Are you fucking with me? Liam thinks you're dating a married woman, where you going to find one of those?"
"I don't know but I'm not turning up to a family party on my own again, my aunties can be fucking brutal."
"Well don't expect to playing all happy families and me being all nice." You sulk.
"Are you jealous?"
"Yeah, duhh."
"Come here." He pulls you into arms wrapping his legs around yours. Comfortable silence drifting over you both as he strokes your hair and you fall asleep in his arms.
***********
You wake up in the morning smiling, then remembering what day it is and that you have to leave to go back to boring reality and your smile fades. Chris stirring beside you, his muscly arm resting over your stomach, locking you in place.
"Chris, wake up." You whisper in his ear, admiring his sleepy, perfect face. "It's 9.30 we've gotta check out at 10." He makes an unrecognisable sound of exasperation, his eyes opening, puffy with sleep or lack of in this case.
"Aww man, can't we just stay in bed a little longer, I don't wanna let you go."
"You need to go check out first so we don't leave the hotel at the same time."
"Fuck sake. Back to reality it is then." He says all hint of jokiness gone from his tone as he sits up and rubs his eyes.
"I'm afraid so, I need to go grab my things. Text me when you've left please."
"Wow! I feel used, do I not even get a kiss before you run out on me?"
"I was just dealing with the business before I dealt with the pleasure, like I'd just leave without giving you a kiss." You threw yourself on him, wrapping your legs around him as he leant against the headboard. Taking his lips in yours, open mouthed kisses that left you both breathless.
*****
You packed up the couple of things you'd actually taken out of your pull along suitcase, you'd spent most of the weekend naked or slobbing about in Chris' t-shirts so all your clothes were still folded and packed.
You were anxious about going home to Liam and having to pretend again, having to try and not slip up about where you'd actually been. You literally had to go through possible conversations in your mind, conjuring up imagined answers to Liam's possible questions so you didn't get caught out. It was hard work.
Then you got the text from Chris telling you he was out of the hotel and on the road back home, followed by how much of a good weekend he'd had and how much he loves you.
You couldn't help having a spring to your step as you walked through the lobby, a weekend full of love making and reminiscing would have that effect on anyone.
After you'd checked out, the anxiety set in, like stepping out of this hotel would be like stepping in to an alternate universe. A universe that wasn't simple and easy like it had been this weekend but stepping through those revolving doors would mean that will all end. This safe feeling of being alone, away from prying eyes would end as soon as you stepped foot outside and it did, a ominous feeling sweeping over you, goosebumps covering your flesh. Maybe you conjured up the feeling in your own mind, manifesting it into existence but you couldn't shake it.
A feeling of being watched, was it your imagination or not? You didn't know, all you knew was how much you wanted to get out of public and back home. As you stood in front of the hotel, picking up your suitcase to carry it down the stairs, something caught your eye. A flash. And then another flash coming from your peripheral.

Graduating From Single Life. (A Tedgens story).
For: @irismegau
Ted
"Come on Paul! Come with me! It's Alice's graduation, she would love to see you there!" Said Bill.
"No Bill, i'm sorry, you know how I feel about that kind of events." Said Paul, sometimes he acts like an asshole, i mean, i'm an asshole but sometimes he's worse than me.
"You don't have to stay there the whole ceremony! Please!" Insisted Bill. I was just standing there watching the world burn.
"No, Bill, I don't want to go, okay?" He said as he walked away.
Bill stayed silent for a few seconds, took a sip of his coffee and then looked at me.
"What?" I said. I don't like when people look at me for too long.
"What about you, Ted? Would you go with me?"
"Ugh, Bill, why me?" I also didn't want to go.
"Come on Ted, it'll be fun! Maybe you can meet someone new there." He said.
"Ugh, okay, i'll go with you, but this will be the first and last time, okay?"
"Okay!"
I got home after a long and boring day at work. I took my shoes off and lied on my bed.
"Meet someone new, that's stupid." I said to myself.
It was 1:00 p.m when I woke up the next day. The graduation was at 2:00 p.m.
I got up. Bill said it was an elegant event, I don't have any kind of elegant clothes.
I was looking for something decent in my closet when I found one of those t-shirts that look like you're wearing a suit.
I put it on, put on some black pants and black shoes.
"It looks good" I said and then I heard someone knocking the door.
I took my keys, my wallet and my phone before opening the door.
"Hi Ted! Are you re-what on earth are you WEARING?!" Said Bill.
"You don't like it?" I said, his reaction was a surprise to me, I think I look amazing.
"NO I DON'T I-" He was about to explode. "You know what? There's no time for this, let's go." He sounded annoyed as fuck, I love to annoy him.
He drove us to Alice's school with a really mad and uncomfortable expression on his face.
We got out of the car and went straight to the school gym, there were some chairs and we sat down.
"Where's Alice?" I said.
"She's probably with her girlfriend and friends."
"Hm." I just wanted this to end as soon as possible.
"Ted, I have to go to the bathroom, i'll be right back." He said and walked away.
I was bored so I started to look around, there were some kids running, some teachers, parents, etc. When Bill said "Maybe you can meet someone new" I was expecting to see some hot moms or something.
Then, someone called my attention
It was a tall man wearing a white suit, pretty elegant, he had beautiful silver hair. I looked at him from head to toe and god, that was a good ass.
"That's what i'm talking about, hello naughty list." I said to myself.
He turned around and I finally saw his face. It was the most gorgeous face i've ever seen, even though he had a nerd face, he must be a professor... and he looks like he likes musicals.
Bill came back and the graduation started. I noticed the tall man wasn't there anymore.
It felt like forever, and we'd only been 20 minutes there.
"You can stand up and walk around for a moment if you want to, just don't destroy anything, okay?" Whispered Bill when he noticed my boredom.
"Sure." I said as I got up.
I walked around for some minutes and saw a huge green area with trees, flowers and all that shit.
I saw the hot tall man from before sitting under a tree reading a bunch of papers, then, I had a great idea.
I started walking in his direction. When I was close to him, I took my wallet out of my pocket and "accidentally" threw it on the ground.
"Hey!" He said. And holy fuck, his voice was so deep.
"Yeah?" I turned to him.
"I think you dropped this." He said while pointing to my wallet.
"Oh! Yeah, thank you." I picked it up.
"No problem...I-I like your shirt." He said, he sounded nervous.
"You do?"
"Yeah, it's...funny." He giggled and I fucking melted.
"Thanks. I'm Theodore, Theodore Richards, you can call me Ted." I said quickly.
"Nice to meet you, i'm Professor Henry Hidgens." He smiled as he shaked my hand. What a precious bastard.
I smiled back. I needed to say something, I needed to know more about him because...maybe Bill was right or maybe i'm just desperate.
"May I ask you something?"
"Uh, s-sure." He said, he looks surprised.
"Why are you here and not inside?"
"I'm...well...I don't like this kind of events, and I don't like being around a lot of people but the principal said I had to attend like the rest of teachers. I-I don't go out very often." He giggled again. "What about you, Mr. Richards?" He asked, and my name sounded great in his mouth, not gonna lie.
"I was bored." I said and sat next to him. "What are you reading?"
Hidgens
I have no idea what to do. This man just sat next to me and now i'm having a conversation with him. What am I supposed to do or say? I've never had long conversations with anyone, and he makes me feel even more nervous because he's cute as hell.
He just asked me what i'm reading, he will think i'm a nerd...
"Oh, i-it's nothing..." I said.
"Come on, show me!" He insisted. I couldn't say no to that adorable mustache.
I handed him the papers.
" 'Working Boys'?"
"Y-yeah...it's...uhm...i'm writing a musical." I said. Now this is the part where he looks at me like i'm a weirdo.
"That's cool duuuude, I like flashmobs." He said, he doesn't look surprised, he is not looking at me like i'm weird, it's like he already knew it.
"Yeah!" I giggled.
"Anyway, how old are you?" He asked. I don't really like to talk about my age but I don't want to be rude.
"I-I'm...62" I said.
"Well, you look younger, and you look...well-built." He said and winked at me, is he flirting with me?
My face went bright red.
"T-thank you. What a-about you?" I asked.
"I'm 41." He smiled.
No way, I can't be attracted to him, he's way younger than me but he's just too cute.
We talked for a while and exchanged our phone numbers.
Ted
We stayed in silence for a few seconds, it's pretty obvious i'm attracted to him, and I think he feels the same.
I'm just tired of all the young people, i'm bored of them but he's different, he's smart, sweet and kinda crazy.
I'm ready, i'm going to ask him out on a date.
"Hey." I said.
"Yeah?"
"I'm going to say this directly: you're hot." I saw his face going red. "So, would you go on a date with me?"
"I-I'm..." He was speechless.
He got up and ran away, did I say something wrong? Maybe it was because I said "hot."
Everything happened so quickly so the only thing I could do was follow him.
He entered into a bathroom stall.
I knocked the door.
"Henry?" He didn't say anything. "Ah, shit. Henry, listen, I don't know what happened, okay? Did I say something wrong, did I-"
My phone rang. It was Bill.
"Ted where are y-"
"NOT NOW BILL." I hanged the phone. "Listen Henry, I'm gonna be honest. I've never met anyone like you, I've always been an asshole but now... now I'm alone, I want to know you even more, I'm really attracted to you, I want you to go an date with me. Maybe it's to soon, I know, but you made me feel something that I never thought I could feel. "
He slowly opened the door.
"Ted...i'm sorry. I was scared...i'm way older than you..."
"Hey, we're both adults, isn't it?" I said.
"Yeah..."
"Hey." I put my hand on his cheek "Don't be scared."
He smiled sweetly, put his hand on mine, got closer and kissed me.
I smiled back.
"Is that a yes?"
He giggled.
"Yeah."
Well, it wasn't the most appropriate place for our first kiss, but it didn't matter as long as I was with him.

Young Danny's POV
"Dan! Dinners ready!" My mom yells from downstairs. "I'll be right there!" I pause my game and make my way down. It's been freezing in my room lately, New Jersey winter really taking a toll on our house. The heater isn't installed yet, though I wish it was. I only have so many blankets.
"Dana, Leigh, there's new neighbors across the street. They've been here for about a week, I met the woman and her fiance last night, but her kids weren't home. I think it'd be a good idea to welcome them all. After dinner we'll all go down together. Is that a good idea?" My mom and dad have always been really nice like that. I feel wave of anxiety rush over me, it's not that I don't want to meet them, I just feel weird going to their house just to introduce ourselves. Dana nods her head and goes back to eating her soup, so content with her life. I'm not looking forward to this...
After we all finish eating, my mother tells us to get ready and look decent for the neighbors. What would 'decent' be? A regular shirt with jeans? I'll be in my jacket so I guess it really doesn't matter. After I get myself together, I walk downstairs to see Mom and Dad waiting for me and Dana. "Alright, let's go guys!" Dana comes out of her room dressed and ready as well. "I'm ready!" She yells with her childish voice. At least she's excited, because I'm not.
*ding ding dong ding*
A woman opens the door with a smile. "Oh, hello Debbie! What brings you here?" My mom smiles back at the woman, "I thought we could all come welcome you to the neighborhood!" The woman looks shocked a bit before she opens the door wide and invited us all in. "So this is my husband, call him Avi, my daughter Dana, and my son Leigh. He likes to be called Daniel, though." The woman smiles and shakes my dad's hand and mine. Dana has gotten a little bit shy, so the woman kneels down to her height. "Hi Dana, I'm (y/m/n). I work with kids your age all the time! You know, we have a pet turtle, his name is Cheesy. Would you like to meet him?" Dana's eyes light up at what (y/m/n) said. She nods her head frantically as the woman points to a glass talk with rocks and a little bit of water. "He's right there. Go ahead and talk to him!" As Dana runs to look at, what I assume is Cheesy, the woman turns back to us. "My fiance is at work right now. But my daughter and son are here. Y/N!" (Y/m/n) yells upstairs. "I'm coming!!" A little voice yells back. A girl came downstairs into view. She looks my age, but I haven't seen her at school, is she new? "This is my daughter, y/n. My younger son, Jacob is taking a nap in his room. Shes been working on her room all day." My mom smiles at y/n, "hey y/n! How old are you? Do you go to school here yet?" Y/n looks down, clearly a little shy. "I'm 12 years old... I don't go to school yet here, I'm new, I kind of don't want to." She states truthfully. She's only a year younger than me, but she seems very mature for a 12 year old. Then again, I'm kind of mature for a 13 year old.
As time goes on, y/n and her mom start breaking out of their she'll a little bit. Ms (y/l/n) says they just moved here from (h/t), she left her husband a while back and met a man who lived here. So I guess the man who lives here now isn't y/n's and Jacob's actual dad. Something about that is really sad to me, I have both of my parents. I can't really imagine what it's like to only have one in your life. "Is y/n going to go to the same school as Leigh?" I knew that question would come up. And turns out, yes she will. I'm not really complaining. At least she'll have one person she knows. I'm not entirely popular at all, but at least she won't be alone. Y/n looks at me and smiles. She really does have a sweet smile.
~later that night~
"Debbie, she's out there again! Poor kid, I hope she's okay." My dad calls out to my mom. "She's out there almost every night. Do you think she's okay?" I get curious and look at the time. 10:18 pm. Who would be out this late? Sure, it's a Saturday, but it's so cold outside this time. It's probably going to snow soon. I walk out to my mom and dad to see what's going on. "Who's outside?" Mom points out the window and I look out to see a figure sitting in the empty driveway across the street. "Almost every night, y/n just sits on the cold driveway. Her mom works graveyard shifts a lot. I wouldn't doubt it if she's home alone, poor thing." My mom puts her hand over her heart and looks down, her motherly instincts kicking in. "Leigh, could you please go out there and see if she's okay? She's always out there for hours at a time." I comply to what my mom says, mostly because I don't want to disappoint her by saying no. Also, I'm a little curious as well as to why she's out in the cold so late.
Y/n POV
Space is so cool. I've loved the stars and planets since I was a baby. On the nights when my mom is working, Jacob stays with my stepdad at his place. He's only 5, I get it. At this point I'm used to being alone. It's not a bad thing. I like it. When I was younger my dad would always leave me by myself so he could work. I was old enough to take care of myself though, little 7 year old me. I would do this back then as well. Sit outside and look at the sky. Even on days when the sky would be covered by clouds, I'd still stare In wonder above.
I hear a door close across the street and a skinny boy huddled up in jackets walk out of it. I hope he's not coming here, I'm not good with boys one on one. They make me feel awkward. Plus, he's a good looking boy. That makes it way worse. "Y/n, right?" He's standing right above me. I smile slightly, "Yeah, that's right. Aren't you cold?" He's very skinny, probably doesn't have body heat of his own like me. Im on the thicker side of the wall when it comes to looks. I'll probably always will be, but that okay. "Yes I'm freezing. But I saw you out here and I thought I should ask if you're okay."
I look up at him, "I'm okay. I just like looking at the stars. I'd rather be out here looking at the sky than in a quiet house." I tell him truthfully. "Are you home alone?" I nod and smile. "Yea, my mom works at the children's hospital and my little brother is with my stepdad at his house. I dont go because my stepsisters don't really like me. Which is fine, I don't really like them either." He sits down by me, criss crossed and hands in his pockets. "Are you okay on your own, though? My mom is worried too." His mom? Why would she be worried about me? I guess I am out here a lot. "Tell your mom im fine, and thank you for worrying. I appreciate that." He looks back to his house and then to me again. "Do you want me to sit here with you for a bit?" I smile again, "Sure. Just don't get frostbite in my driveway." He laughs and I join in as well.
~1997~
Y/n POV
I've known Dan for almost 6 years now. Since that night he'd be sitting on my driveway with me any chance we could. He's grown up a lot, but so have I. I'm proud of him, really. He just graduated high school, the only thing is, he's leaving for college. I still have 12th grade left. It sucks, my best friend is leaving. In the 6 years I've known him, I've grown to have a massive crush on him. He's gotten a lot taller, his hair has grown more, he's just this tall silly nerd. I'm not one for cliche cheesiness... But I really do love him. The times hes had girlfriends, it's been pretty painful. There's been more than a few nights when I'm on the driveway alone, or I'd have to eat lunch with Joe and Dylan alone because he'd be out with his girlfriend at that time. I'd be in pain, but I would never let it get to me. If he's had other girlfriends, it's clear he doesn't like me like that. And that's fine, I'm okay with just being his friend. As long as he's in my life at all I'm okay.
But he's leaving.
Dan's POV
My last night here in New Jersey is tonight. The flight for Boston leaves tomorrow morning, early as hell too. I'd have to go to bed soon if I really want to catch it. My room looks so empty... All my memories of growing up are in this exact house. I went to go see Ms (y/l/n) earlier today and say goodbye before she went to work, even said bye to Jacob. Y/n wasn't there, (y/m/n) said she was at band practice. I told her not to worry, I'll probably see y/n tonight since I usually sit with her in her driveway at night. Luckily, it's not cold anymore. Summer weather keeping me cool enough to not wear shorts, though. I walk out and see y/n sitting where she usually sits. Except now with a cat in he shirt to keep the cat warm in the cool weather. She looks up at me and waves, and I can't help but smile a little and wave back before starting to walk over.
If I had a choice, I'd take her with me. She's my best friend, I don't want to leave her alone. Joe and Dylan are leaving as well, she'll be alone at school and she'd have no one to sit with at night in her driveway. 6 years spent with her, and I wouldn't want to change it for the world. She's a really good friend.
"Hey.." she says, careful not to wake the cat in her lap. "Hey, I'm leaving tomorrow morning.. I wanted to come say bye to the cat." I say jokingly. She rolls her eyes and nudges my leg as I sit beside her. "Shut up, Dan. I can't believe it, you're going to college." I can't help but agree. I shake out my hair a little bit. "Yup. I really want to be a musician, but my dad said hed pay for my college if I go into advertising. I really don't want to, but I cant pay for myself on my own." She pets the cat again and shrugs. "Soon enough, you will be a musician. You'll have thousands of fans, be on stage rocking out like you've always wanted. You'll have people recognize you in the street wanting a picture and an autograph. You'll be so successful, as long as you put your passion in it." I can't help but smile at her. That is my dream, always has been. "It's gonna be weird without you guys. Senior year... I have one more year before I leave too," she looks at the sky again. "It's kinda scary. I won't be a kid anymore. Growing up in general is scary." I grab her shoulder and look in her eyes. "Hey don't talk like that. You're gonna be a great voice actress like you've always wanted to be. You might even become a singer too. You have to put passion in it too. You'll be in all your favorite anime shows, and video games. You can do it too. Don't forget that." She looks down and nods. "I will. Hey promise me something though." I look at her and encourage her to go on. "Don't forget about me. I know you're gonna grow up and find all the success in the world, just don't forget about this time in your life. Our friendship, who you are. Don't forget, please." I give her a sad smile and lean in to hug her. "I could never forget about you. You're one of my best friends. Don't worry. I'll keep in touch as much as possible, I promise." She smiles and hugs back. I start to walk back to the house when I hear her call my name again, "Dan!......." I turn back to her and she looks down before looking back up to me. "Be safe out there." She stares at me and I nod. "You too, y/n.."
