      it had felt like the triple fantasy festival was going by rather fast. truth be told, duri wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. he was having a good time, until the night would fall, and he’d be trying to fall asleep. most of the time, he would end up spending most of the night watching movies. on some nights, he found himself getting lucky and falling asleep while watching movies - but, it was always a few short hours because early mornings would call to him. while he was enjoying a lot of the festival, he was looking forward to going back home, especially because he misses the animals, among other things. at least, he was getting good practice with his english. 

they had reached the nights of the triple fantasy concerts, after what seemed like a long few days. but, duri was rather excited. he always enjoyed getting to be back stage, just because there were people who happened to be everywhere. it was a lot of new faces to talk to, as well as the old faces that were very familiar to him. so far, duri was already having a good time backstage with all the people he had been talking to. but, he seemed to make things quick, since everyone was busy. 

he was walking towards someone familiar, his smile seemingly lighting up a bit more. “suwei!” he calls out to the younger, before finally approaching her.  “ah, you did really great on stage! it was really fun to watch!” he complimented. “do you want to watch the rest of the stages with me before knight have to go up on stage?”

suwei stood outside the lucid dorms in her favorite pastel pink robe. she had pajamas on under but the robe made that impossible to see. she was done with schedules for the day and felt like it was a perfect night for a sleepover. it was going to be a night of relaxation. she sent out a text earlier that morning inviting her friend over and telling them to bring pajamas and a change of clothes.

when she got home she showered and blew up the air mattress she had bought earlier. she didn’t mind sharing her bed but she had just in case. on the mattress she placed the bag of skin care products along with a robe that matched her own.

she smiled as she caught sight of a familiar face walking up to the door. “hey! did you bring what i told you to bring?” she said opening the door and walking in waiting on them to follow.

hurt locker just wouldn’t leave minhee’s head, even as mi amor blared through her airpods en route to suwei’s -- to lucid’s, rather. she wasn’t sure what the rooming arrangements were for lucid’s members, but minhee was hoping that suwei was stuck with alice or jeonghwa, mostly because she figured they were the least likely to care, and most likely to welcome, a stray senior idol passing out on their floor in the middle of the night.

“hey!” she called back, jogging the last few steps down the corridor to lucid’s front door and suwei in front of it. she shook her tote bag, noiseless thanks to its soft contents. “yeah, i did!” as she walked backwards through the door, minhee tugged the short, blue sleeve of her cozy pajama button-up out of the top of the bag. “look, they’ve got bananas on them. cute, right?” she haphazardly kicked off her shoes, and took a long look at the entryway of lucid’s dorms. it was an oddly nostalgic setting to be in. she whipped her head around, turning back to suwei with a smile. “so, which one’s your room?”

the arrangement plays in her ears, a softer ode that renews the big shrills and rifts of mariah carey. the soft hums follow along with the earbuds tuned in, and her eyes falling through the hallways each step leading her closer to the studio.

little to no information leaves her face painted in a humble stare, smiles as she dips her head low. “hello.” minjung greets, taking out an earphone. “i’m minjung of equinox, and i look forward to be working with you.” the stranger doesn’t register in her head clearly, just as another fellow idol she’s seen around in places far and further throughout the years. it’s the producer who rings more familiarity when she follows suit with another greeting aimed towards him as she tosses her bag on the sofa before taking a seat.

“i must have an awful memory, so do you mind telling me your name again?” it’s a question posed as far from rude — the lightness of her voice, and the smile stationed across her face enough to pose for formalities.

shit hits the fan when any pillars of pride are knocked down. 

today, gold star tests him when they drive someone else to style him — pick apart his clothes like they’re raggedy and shit, peel off the layers of comfort for an unknown concept. gyujeong holds his breath still, full-out disgruntlement leaving a scowl across his face, eyes narrowed as he searches in the room for the idol partnered up with him. nobody else, just another girl — plain looking, he exhales, taking a step closer towards the lines of clothes. stone island, good. raf simons, even better. his optimism all crashes when he spots the other rack, pastels and whites. at this point, it’s all down to whether he’s sowed better luck than the pessimism that tells him otherwise — especially when he leaves today’s fate to the idol styling him today.  

“gold star sends me with a schedule, and the other idol can’t even fucking show up on time.” it’s more of a mumble to himself, groggy in the sleep deprived however many hours it took to get here. “do you know when the other idol will get here?” this time, his voice comes off more polite, gentle — just a common courtesy to any of the staff held here against his will.

suwei loved to eat. however her career choice has made eating what she wants difficult. keeping up a skinny figure was important in the industy. and she did a good job doing that. but it meant that she didn’t always get to snack the way she wanted to when she wanted to. but when traveling she made sure to treat herself to the most unhealthiest items she could find. it was the day of the first concert and in two days they would be leaving. so she knew she had to take a trip to the grocery store to get some sweets. she scanned the aisle of candy picking up a few bags of chocolate, gummies, and a couple bars of chocolate. she was going to share them with the other idols before the concert. they deserved it.

she kept the grocery bag hidden in her bag hoping a manger or staff member wouldn’t see it. she wasn’t normally sneaky but there was a first for everything. once she arrived she grabbed the grocery bag and went looking for someone to share her snacks with. she takes two steps out of her dressing room when she catches sight of a familiar face. “hey! you hungry?” she asks as they pass by.

one of seungwoo’s favourite things about events like these was stretching his legs, and exploring the venues. it wasn’t typical of him to slip away from so early in the night’s proceedings, but seungwoo’s wanderlust, one thing that has never let him, had taken over him pretty early. he gives his manager a courtesy nod, makes his promises to come back as soon as his urge to walk around is satiated -- it’s a well practiced routine by now. once everything is sorted out in mars’ dressing room, once all of his members are accounted for, seungwoo just likes to take a minute to himself, he always has. even in his wilder days, he always needed to take time out for himself. back then, they were moments of clarity. nowadays ... it’s not so much of a pressuring thing for himself. the time is genuinely spent relaxing.

as he’s taking his stroll, a door opens ahead of him, and out steps lucid’s suwei, his label junior. seungwoo holds up a hand to wave, but comes to a stop when she actually engages him in conversation. “huh? hi. oh?” he tilts his head to one side. “hungry? sure.”

closed starter for @fmdxlaurent / suwei has had a lot of time on her hand. dimensions was giving them time to focus on their solo activities and she had none lined up at the moment. which meant she had time to kill. she was able to celebrate the month of october the way it was supposed to be. festivals and attractions around the city.

she wasn’t big on scary attractions, but she had to check out everland’s blood city. it was an experience she couldn’t help but not pass up. but it’s one she wouldn’t be going alone. she looked up to laurent. she asked him after running in him to yesterday. she wanted to go but had no one to take. why not take one of her labelmates. “ready to go in?” she asked while pulling the tickets out of her bag.

To say he doesn’t know what is going on is a complete understatement. It wasn’t as though he was on something when he spoke to her yesterday yet for the life of him, Laurent couldn’t remember what he agreed to do with Suwei. Not that it mattered or that he couldn’t figure out the gist of it, nonetheless it would be beneficial for everyone if he simply asked. 

“Are you sure you want to do this, ma poupée ?” It wasn’t uncommon for Laurent to use French endearments for those around him, especially when he was feeling a certain type of way. For instance unease, as he nervously looks at the terrifying attraction awaiting for them. His nervousness mustn’t be mistaken for fear but rather the anticipation and excitement of doing something completely different. 

He fights the hard imbedded mannerism in him to offer Suwei a hand as he gestures for her to take the first step. “Ladies first.” Despite being in Korea for so long already, some traits are simply too difficult to completely erase but Laurent must stay cautious to not get either of them into trouble.

closed starter for @durifmd || suwei jumped at every chance she got to interact with a senior idol. she saw it as a learning experience. they were experienced, and for the most part had good advice. and she loved to learn. it was her senior idols that got her through her first year after debut. but she wasn’t sure she’d be any good at interviewing a senior. maybe it should be the other way around. she would feel it make more since that she interview someone closer to her in age. she found it odd though that they chose a senior from another company. and that the idol she’d interview was male. not that the fans would ever suspect her of dating someone almost a decade older than her.

but someone under dimensions in her mind made more sense. either way she was excited to be given the chance to interview anyone. especially a senior. she wouldn’t say she’s a fan of knight, but she did respect them and their music.

she sat in front of duri and gave him a warm smile. she felt comfortable around him. she’s seen him around despite being from different companies. she looks towards the camera and speaks. “hello! my name is suwei, and i’m lucid’s maknae and vocalist. i’m going to be interviewing knight’s duri today.” she turned back to duri. “hello.” she said a way of greeting. “so knight is celebrating their 10 year anniversary. is there anything you feel you learned about yourself in the last 10 years that have made a major impact on you and your career as a member of knight and a soloist?”

       duri really enjoyed interacting with junior idols. it was something that he enjoyed, especially when it was those that had debuted recently. they had a lot different experiences than he did in the industry over the past nine years. so, he always enjoyed getting their perspective on things. though, a lot of them had managed to be a lot younger than himself, as a lot of them are very much a decade or more younger than him at this point. it almost felt odd, but he didn’t mind having friends that are a lot younger than him. even though they probably couldn’t relate to each other on much due to childhoods taking place at different times. but, he managed to relate to a lot of them on some level - maybe being an idol helped with that.

today, he was being interviewed by one of those juniors that were a decade younger than him. he definitely had no problem with that, plus there was probably advice that he’d be able to give, based upon his age and being an idol for nine years. nonetheless, he was looking forward to it.

his attention is set on the other, ready for the questions to be asked. he looked upon the camera - his normal, warm smiled placed against his lips. duri bows to the camera to signal his hello, before looking upon suwei again. “hi!” he greeted happily. “ah, i can’t we’ll be at a tenth year in 2022... it’s quite strange,” he said, a soft giggle leaving his lips. “i was always nervous about doing things and i think i had an issue where i thought i wouldn’t be able to do certain things? especially having to do choreography,” he began. “however, with everything that i’ve done, i’ve learned that because i put my mind to it, i was able to do it. i think it’s all about putting your mind to it.”
