Okay, so my guilty pleasure movie (one of them) is Pearl Harbor (2001).

Do I know it's historically inaccurate? Yep. Do I love it anyway? Also, yep.

I've tried several times to write the main female lead, Evelyn Johnson, and it just never stuck because the Fandom just isn't there.

But maybe one day I'll bring her here.

I mean, come on, Kate Beckinsale is stunning.

Hestia loved her family, Aphrodite was no exception, and not just because the goddess exuded love.

Padmé paused in washing the dishes, she knew they had droids to do them, but it gave her something to do while she collected her thoughts.

Turning to her daughter Padmé sighed.

"I know his type." Han reminded her far too much of Clovis, and even now Padmé cringed internally when she thought of the former senator and how everything had ended with him. She didn't know exactly what Anakin thought of Han, she'd ask later.

"Just... be careful with him, Leia."

Leia knew she wasn’t supposed to disturb her mother while she was working. But this was an emergency. She slowly opened the door to her mother’s office. “Mama? I don’t feel good.” @arandomnerdsrp358

Breha looked up at Leia’s voice, work forgotten.

"Don't feel well?" Standing from her desk, Beha move to feel Leia’s forehead.

"What hurts?"

Breha frowned, considering the information the Jedi had given her.

Wild space was a great unknown. Unlike the core planets, the traditions of people who lived out there could be strange.

"What makes you think it's a marriage proposal?" The queen asked calmly.

"And may I see this sword?" She was already thinking of Alderaan's own ceremonial sword. Though they were a peaceful planet, the sword was only used in ceremonies like the Day Of Demand.

"Ben!" Leia lit up like that little ten year old girl she no longer was, Ben had been right when he'd told her she wouldn't always be ten. Hugging the man who had saved her life as a child, Leia kissed his cheek in greeting.

"They told me you were with them! I can't believe it, it's been too long!"

"Leia Organa!" Breha regretted that her sister's children weren't especially close to Leia.

"Maybe if Leia had grown up with her cousins, things would be different.

Leia froze, she knew Apailana didn't mean Queen Breha Organa of Alderaan.

While her mother had been very beautiful, Leia didn't share any of the late queen's or viceroy's genetics.

Apailana had to mean her birth mother, the beautiful, kind, but sad woman Leia barely remembered.

She didn't know what to say.

The unicorn had lived a long, long life. all of it in her wood. But even still she had heard tell of giants from her bird friends.

Now, having left the wood to search for the other unicorns, she understood the giant's plight.

Sitting still was so difficult. Leia hated these formal events that felt like they could drag on forever. “Mama.” She whispered and gently tugged on her mother’s sleeve. “Is it over yet? Can I go outside now?” @arandomnerdsrp358

Breha turned, eyes softening when Leia called her 'Mama' no matter how many times she heard that sweet name she'd never tire of it.

Leaning down so Leia could whisper in her ear, the queen smiled.

"Not yet, Starshine. ten more minutes, I promise."

"I know," Padmé sighed, she hated to leave for Coruscant so soon, but there was an emergency session of the Senate, so her leave home had to be cut short.

"But there's an important vote I must attend... one day when the war is over and I've retired from politics, I'll be home more often. I promise."

"No, we need to discuss this now." Sabé didn't normally argue with Padmé, but after this last Decoy Maneuver there was much to discuss and the handmaiden didn't want to put it off.

"Please, Padmé."

"Win the war, support Padmé, be happy. That's all I ask." She couldn't be Padmé's right hand anymore, but she wouldn't wish her and Anakin ill either.

Breha looked up at the sound of Padmé's voice, and smiled when she saw the senator with a steaming cup of tea in her hands.

Breha set aside the data pad she'd been working on and motioned for Padmé to sit down and join her, picking up the tea cup Breha took a moment to let the cup warm her hands, and drank in the smell of the tea before taking a sip.

"Thank you. I needed this."

Leia looked at her birth mother like she'd grown a second head. Naboo was beautiful, Leia couldn't deny that, and she couldn't exactly blame Padmé for wanting to take her time and share her home planet with her.
