It was yet again a rather dull morning, life got so boring, vampires took over the humans, having them as a simple food source, someone they could use for pleasure.

Being on the top of the food chain definitely got less and less exciting, while it also might be that you rather took some pity towards your pet, Silvan. Most of the time he was so– out of it. Scared you would throw him away, but god his blood was addicting and the way he always looked so blissed out after you fed on him.

So you decided to keep him longer, even as he slowly turned into a fool in love. You noticed how he looked at you, wanting to be the only one that you feast on. Which soon proved itself to be right as you brought a human just for a bit to– replace Silvan’s place.

The way his eyes filled with unshed tears, he didn’t get angry as you expected he would be, he simply ran and for the first time in a long time of your immortal life, there was a tug on your dead heart. 

Was it really good to slowly see him as more than a simple pet? Of course not.

But did you care after you saw his teary face, slowly getting brighter, as you told him he would be the only pet you would keep. Soon he clung at you, as a big smile was plastered on his lips, you couldn’t help but suppress a sigh as you wrapped your arms around Silvan, before you lifted him up and carried him to your room.

As you sit him on the bed, he quickly grasps the end of your sleeve. Your eyes found him, a pout settled on his lips and tears welled up in his eyes. “Don’t leave me,” he whispered with a shaky voice. Your eyes wandered over his body, he looked rather thin, not in a healthy way.

Slowly you sat down beside him, gently taking his hand off of your sleeve. A pitiful whine left Silvan, but you only took his small and boney hand in yours with utmost care. He looks so fragile, compared to your healthy being, “Are you eating enough?” You suddenly asked, before you gently intertwined your fingers with his. 

There was a moment of brief silence, as Silvan’s eyes were simply staring at your locked fingers with wide round eyes. His eyes opened and closed like a fish, before he seemed to remember your question, making him shake his head in slight shame. 

A slight scoff left you, before gently pushing Silvan back on the bed. “Well then, I’ll get you something to eat, while you rest.” Silvan wanted to protest, but you simply raised your hand, “Can’t have my favorite pet dying on me, can I?” Were your words, before you left the bedroom.

Silvan looked at the half closed door, like a deer in headlights. His hand moved to his chest, where his heart was beating erratically, clenching the fabric of his shirt.

He was your favorite.

Biting his lip was fruitless as the smile was still showing on his face. When you came back you felt the happiness radiating off of Silvan. You watched as he happily ate the food you brought him, watching as an imaginary tail wagged happily behind him. 

A small smile played on your lips, maybe it wasn’t that bad to have him by your side. He’s a refreshing change, from the oh so dull life.

With that a few months passed, as suddenly news spread of the humans fighting back their owners, you weren’t sure how it was possible, but there were also deaths of two vampires. 

It was shocking to hear, an immortal being dying? 

The news broadcasted how there’s multiple uprisings and riots in other cities. It wouldn’t be long until the same would happen in yours.

You were deeply immersed in your own thoughts, that Silvan actually managed to make you jump, ever so slightly in your seat. Your eyes met his round ones that were filled with concern. Over the past few months the relationship between you and your pet has gotten better, the happiness that he feels seemed to have an effect on how his blood tasted even more sweeter, that’s rather what you told yourself.

“I would never do anything like these people,” Silvan said, confusing you for a second until you remember the news that you both watched together. Your hand that was lazily wrapped around his waist, grabbed a bit tighter into his soft flesh. “I know,” you said while eyeing his figure. He had gained back a lot more weight, the ones half dead looking Silvan, now looked like a blooming flower in your arms. “But I won’t put you in the danger of other dumb beings, so we’re leaving.” You told Silvan, who looked surprised by your words.

“Where are we going?” He asked, and you couldn’t help but smile at him, “It’s going to be a surprise, but one thing I can tell you– there won’t be many people around to hear your cute moans in the future.”

A soft gasp left Silvan, while a blush formed on his cheeks spreading to his neck, as he squeezed his thighs together. Both of you didn’t do anything big sexually, you only jerked him off while you feasted on his blood. You still remember how his legs were spread open and shaking, while his head rested against your shoulder and the loud moans spilling from his lips.

It didn’t take long for you to secure everything that would be important for both of you to simply disappear from the public eye.

Another month passed in your new home, you were sitting at the dining table while Silvan tried to cook your guys lunch, his tongue sticking out as his eyes were focused on the food on the stove. His hair grew a bit longer and was tied in a messy half-up to keep the hair out of his face while cooking.

The Tv was on in the living room, connected to the kitchen, another news broadcast, humans and vampires were still fighting against each other, it was basically another war. Many hope that it will settle soon, tired of the losses both sides suffer. 

Soon a plate landed in front of you, and you couldn’t help but smile at Silvan, “Looks good,” you simply spoke. Yeah, as a vampire you don’t actually have to eat human food, but it made Silvan happy to cook for you and eat with you, so you did just that. “Do you think they would fuck?” Silvan suddenly asked, while cutting into the meat, you looked perplexed at him, Silvan has gotten a lot more bold and confident with you, speaking his mind rather openly, which can lead to situations like this.

“Who?” You simply asked him, now it was Silvan that looked at you, “Well Adin and Loic, they could be enemies to lovers..” Silvan said. His words made your mouth drop open, Adin and Loic were the current leaders in the ‘war’ so it was a rather weird question of Silvan, “Maybe you shouldn’t read too many books, dear.” You settled on this answer, Silvan only shrugged his shoulders before continuing to eat, “you never know, meanie.” 

With these words you both simply enjoyed the rest of the day, hopefully for a long, long time to come.
