(I wanted to hop in here and actually thank you for opening my eyes to the possibility of another ship. I never thought 1880 had potential, until I followed you. Like canon wise, I don't really see it, but the way you write it, I love it.)

1880/8018 was such a core part of my childhood, and it immediately jumped at me despite how obscure it was. They're very 'in the back' compared to most mainstream ships in the fandom so I totally get most people not even considering them as a pair (until they pick up Yoneda's works, at least)

They've always had really big potential for me because of how compatible their motifs are. They already have a strong, unique, mutual respect with each other where secrets don't need to be kept, and I think that's my main favourite thing about them.

That and Hibari just seems to love sparring with Yamamoto and will immediately bring out 'the big guns'. There's soooo many 'Yamamoto Takeshi Exceptions' he seems to carry I can't help but write my own Hibari with the biggest confusing crush LOLLLL
