The beach had become a place she frequented more recently. With a bottle or two of wine at hand, a small picnic basket, and a note pad to calculate earnings and future prospects. She hadn't however expected to see two new faces hanging out on the beach, but if anything she'd learned that it was better to approach with generosity. "H-hello there. I-I'm Katherine. K-Katherine Kirkpatrick. Are y-you new around he-here? I-I've got a picnic ba-basket if you'd like to join m-me?"

Salt had begun drying on skin, evaporating seawater as Kira-Lee and Reece reclined in the sunshine - Rivers in his hammock,and Kira atop the kombi, both sunning themselves in post-surf relaxation. The last few days had been pretty good, a stream of new people, good waves and free food had seen Kira and Rocko in a great mood.

Kira pushed her rose-gold heart shaped sunglasses up into her tangled hair as Katherine’s sweet, stuttery voice rang out across the beach. The silver-haired beauty stood just past the little wood bridge joining the main beach to the rock pools, basket held in her hands as she nervously got the surfer’s attention. Reece’s head poked up out of his hammock-cocoon, his round-lensed glasses now in his hand, squinting for the sound of the voice.

Kira-Lee dropped off the roof of the kombi, her muscular form bouncing her back to her feet in the warm, gold sand. She waved the vintner over, looking the pale woman up and down - she was attractive, and Kira was never one to pass up on some eye candy. 

“Yeah, me and me mate Rocko there,” a jab of her thumb in the himbo’s direction caused him to scurry out of his nest, and hold out a hand of Katherine to shake (despite her lack of free hands), “have been here a couple of days. And I don’t think we’d ever give up a chance to sit down and have some free lunch with a pretty sheila.”

Reece nodded, completely serious, his arm still outstretched for a handshake. “A snack with a snack.” Kira placed her face in her hand and let out a giggle. It didn’t take long for the two to lay out some beach towels for Katherine to join them in the sun, with Lahlas’ gift of elf booze sitting in the sand.

“Katherine, I’m Kira-Lee. Nice to meet ya.”
