They never really told each other too long in advance when they were going to be in town, so it wasn’t unusual that Jamie had only given her a couple of days heads up that he was going to be swinging through Los Angeles and asking her of she was going to be home for once. They’d known each other for awhile now, and this thing between them had been going on for a couple of months now, Lizzie still wasn’t sure what exactly this was. They were going through all the motions that kept things casual, but she still found herself making sure she was in his orbit as often as she could, taking opportunities to be in town when he was, making trips to visit friends in London when she knew he’d be home. And now of course she was scrambling to clean her house for him to arrive, having summarily kicked her roommate out for the night to go spend the night with her boyfriend, because no, she had absolutely no shame about that. Once she felt like the house was presentable, she had candles lit, wine breathing on the kitchen counter, and she’d changed into something cute, casual, and short, she sent him a text that was as calculatedly casual as the dress she’d picked out for the evening - ‘you on your way?’ @jamixdornan

habit has yunseo walking in front of jugeum in most cases, on most days. in hindsight, today of all days is probably one of the most important days for yunseo to be maintaining this particular habit just as a favor to the general gumi student body--or, more specifically the freshmen that are filtering through the campus for the rest of this week. by now most of the upperclassmen have gotten used to the sight of jugeum and yunseo walking around together enough to not be too alarmed, but it’s still...a sight. sometimes, yunseo forgets this.

there’s a rhyme to this reason, though.

she’s distracted--there’s an annoyingly minor error on her registration that if not corrected now, may be a headache later. with her head down and pointedly focusing on mentally rearranging some course around-- she’s using jugeum as a shield to those who might run into her otherwise.

so imagine her surprise when she feels her hand wrenched over to one side almost violently.
