- Bokuto is absolutely the kind of guy you’d see in a meet-cute romcom omg he’s so perfect for this prompt <3

- Okay so I’m thinking of two adorable meet-cute scenarios with him so I’ll include both for both my gym lovers and those like me who aren't very frequent gym attendees

- So option one would be meeting him at the gym - you have a day off, so you decide to head over to get a bit of a work-out in, and as you make your way over to your machine of choice you catch sight of the absolute cutest man you have ever laid eyes on

- He’s bench-pressing and he’s sweaty and a bit red and yet he’s absolutely gorgeous to the point where you can’t seem to keep your eyes off him

- You literally stop in the middle of your walk without realizing it, only snapping back into reality when some rude passerby shoulder-checks you as you feel heat rush to your face at the realization that you had been blatantly staring at the gorgeous stranger

- Thankfully he seems very immersed in his work-out and doesn’t seem to notice, so you make your way over to your machine of choice while trying to let go of the embarrassment of acting like a lovestruck schoolkid and stopping to gawk at a stranger

- Your work-out goes on as planned after that, giving you the solitude and energy you need to get through the remainder of your tasks for the day as you wipe down your machine and prepare to leave and move on to the next item on your mental checklist

- But then as you’re leaving the super cute guy from before walks up to you and starts rambling a mile a minute, leaving you struggling to even process the flurry of words that are leaving his mouth

- “Hi I saw you earlier and thought you were gorgeous so I wanted to ask for your number but I was with my friend and he said that would be creepy and you might feel cornered or something so I figured I’d ask while you were leaving so you can walk away if you’re uncomfortable but you really are super hot and I was wondering if you’d like to go on a date with me?”

- And once you’ve had a moment to process all the words he just rapid-fired at you, you feel your face heating up even more than when you had been staring at him, and you just barely catch sight of a man with spiked black hair covering one of his eyes shaking his head in embarrassment to the side of your new gym crush as you attempt to find words for a response that wouldn’t make you seem like an absolute fool

- Eventually, you manage to spit out a somewhat casual-sounding “That sounds really nice” in response, your heart fluttering rapidly at the way his mouth spreads into a sunshine-esque grin as he scrambles to give you his number

- Sweet Bokuto was blissfully unaware that you had been borderline ogling him earlier, too, since he hadn’t been looking around in that moment and had been focused entirely on his workout, but when you two have been on a few dates you finally decide to mention it and the thought that you found him cute too just makes him so giddy it’s absolutely adorable <3

- Now if you’re not particularly interested in the gym, Bokuto would be one of those airport boys instead (I hope y’all know what I’m talking about and understand the unique spark of seeing someone cute at the airport lol) except the two of you actually connect and don’t just glance wistfully at one another before never interacting again

- You’re both waiting in an airport terminal for a criminally early flight, Bokuto for one of his team’s matches while you’re going to visit some of your loved ones

- And you’re both dressed in pajamas/comfy clothes and struggling to keep your eyes open at this hour - Bokuto in particular is all cranky because he hates being up so early and he’s not even traveling with anyone so he has no one to talk to to help him stay awake :<

- But as the two of you sit there in the terminal with half-lidded eyes in direct opposite seats, you catch sight of one another and accidentally make eye contact and it’s pretty much love at first sight oml you both think the other looks so adorable with their tired eyes and cozy clothes

- And usually Bokuto’s easily the kinda guy who would approach someone he’s interested in, but it’s so early and he’s so tired that his brain isn’t really working properly and he can’t even think of what to say to you, you’re just so gorgeous

- And you’re sitting across from him, sneaking glances but thinking that there’s no way anything could happen since you don’t even know if he lives here or is currently traveling back home somewhere else, so you don’t see the point of making a move

- But eventually Bokuto finds his opportunity, when he sleepily makes his way over to the bathroom and stops at a vending machine on his way back only for the machine to dispense two packets of his favorite chips by mistake - causing the gears to finally begin working inside his brain until a tired but distinctly and brightly Bokuto grin makes its way across his face

- And he makes his way back to where he had been sitting in the terminal while sporting that same grin, outstretching his hand towards you once he’s close enough to reach you as he offers you the spare bag of chips

- “Hey, that machine over there accidentally gave me an extra bag of chips, do you want it? I’d love to share my good fortune with the cutest person in this airport.” He offers with a silly grin on his face, one that makes your heart pound even as you try to tell yourself to be rational

- His flirting is a bit clumsy due to the early hour, and you’ve already reasoned with yourself why asking out a stranger in the airport who may not even live in the same country as you is a bad idea, but the look on his face as he offers the snack to you is just so endearing that you can’t help but take the bait, gently grabbing the bag from his hands with a soft, sleepy smile and a thank-you

- Of course, Bokuto sees this as his “in”, and as he sit back down in his spot across from you he manages to strike up a conversation - asking about why you’re traveling to your destination and going from there as he somehow manages to brush away your tiredness and ignite an incredibly pleasant interaction with you

- With him the time seems to fly by and before you know it, you’re finally preparing to board your flight, a surprisingly heavy disappointment settling in both of your chests at the thought of not seeing one another again despite only meeting an hour or so prior after having such a lovely conversation together

- But in your conversation you had learned that he did in fact live in your home country and was only traveling for work, so though the idea still has you a bit hesitant, you decide to push past your nerves and ask for his number, which he happily types into your phone while including a stereotypical and incredibly flirty heart beside his contact name 

- From there the rest is history, falling for Bokuto is so incredibly easy since he’s the kind of person who can draw anyone in and keep eyes and heart effortlessly captivated, but he knows from that first day in the airport that you’re the one he wants to dedicate his own heart to in return as his feelings morph from puppy love for you into something much, much greater <3

You two are so similar in a lot of ways, and even in the ways you differ I feel like they’d just make you match better together! Headcanons About Your Relationship:

- Bokuto absolutely love love loves that you enjoy cheerleading! Even if you’re not an official cheerleader for his team, he enjoys seeing you cheer for him in the stands and always looks for you to see your reactions when he does something particularly cool, and when he gets in slumps during games he now looks to you in the audience for a cheer as a pick-me-up rather than forcing Akaashi to give him another pep talk lol

- I can totally see Bokuto being the type of boyfriend to regularly bring food with him whenever the two of you hang out over at your house. He’s pretty much always hungry and knows what you like, so he frequently picks up some chicken sandwiches from your favorite restaurant and two slices of cheesecake from a local bakery on his way! It’s sort of become a ritual for the two of you after his games, and it always manages to lift his mood whether he’s won or lost :)

- Bokuto knows how much he loves having you come see his games, it means a lot to him to see you there and knowing you took the time out of your day to be supportive always warms his heart before a match. So in return, he always makes sure to attend all your choir concerts and your theater performances, no matter how he has to rearrange his schedule to do so <3 He wants to make sure you always feel supported and loved by him, and that you know that he’s just as committed to you as you are to him!

- And because you’re in choir, he also really loves hearing you sing :) Whenever he catches you singing when you’re over at his house or vice versa he’s quick to run into the room with a big grin and joins you (no matter how off-key he is lol he just wants to share the moment with you). And, on those rare days when he’s truly feeling down and having a hard time, he likes to lay his head in your lap and have you sing to him until he eventually drifts off for a nap :>

- I also think Bokuto would be a complete sucker for your curly hair, he just thinks it’s so so pretty! - He really really likes your signature scents as well, they both smell so nice to him and always remind him of you :> If he ever has a game away from school that you can’t join him for (after getting all pouty and whining about how much he’ll miss you lol) he always borrows one of your perfumes and spays it on his favorite jacket, because smelling the scent manages to comfort him and make it feel like you’re still there with him in some way. - I don’t really see Bokuto as a big reader, he doesn’t hate it or anything but it’s just never really caught his attention and he’s so busy that he just doesn’t often have time to pick up a book and relax. When you two start spending the night together more often, though, sometimes if there’s a book you’re really into he’ll let you read it aloud to him before bed and gets invested into the plot with you, or if you ask him to read a specific book, he does his best to (slowly) listen to the audiobook in his free time!

- Honestly I could see Bokuto being really into k-pop as well! He loves either bright bubblegum concepts or super aggressive, energetic ones (I can see him loving a lot of “noise music” songs, as someone who loves that kind of music myself lol) and whether or not he can dance, sometimes he tries practicing some of the choreography as a work-out if he doesn’t feel up to going to the gym some days! He’s also the perfect concert buddy, he gets so excited and loves singing along and doing all the fanchants alongside you!

- Bokuto very much has the same extroverted, bubbly/energetic and sometimes chaotic vibes that you do once you’re comfortable with someone, so the two of you match each other’s energy really well :D You’re the first person he goes to when he’s excited about something because he knows you’ll be just as giddy and excited as he is, and he just feels so happy and hyped up whenever he’s around you because you manage to return that same energy and excitement back to him!

- Though he’s a total sweetheart, Bokuto also doesn’t tolerate rude or disrespectful people in any form. Whether they’re targeting you directly or just making you uncomfortable and you don’t want to say anything, he’s quick to step in and tell them to get lost because he doesn’t like seeing you so overwhelmed or stressed out! He always wants you to feel at ease with him, and he’ll happily get rid of any disturbances in order to ensure that you do :D

Second Choice:

I also strongly considered Nishinoya when deciding your match-up, and I considered Akaashi as well! Noya gives me similar vibes to Bokuto in a lot of ways, and I could also see the two of you meshing really well together! For Akaashi he’s more subdued then the other two, but he’s incredibly supportive and may be a bit more of a balance for your extroversion, especially since he’s already best friends with Bokuto lol, but in the end I felt Bokuto just fit the best with your personality and interests :)

in which you’re at a charity gala and come to the realization that maybe being best friends with suguru is no longer an option

“stay still. if you keep moving, you’re going to look like a clown.”

geto sits in front of you on a stool, tie messily done up as he holds a lipliner pencil in his hands. he’s grinning at his work — because true to his words, you looked like a clown.

“suguru, you can’t line lips for shit.” you sigh, rummaging through your things to find some makeup remover. “remind me why i let you do this again?”

geto laughs, grinning at you in a way that was oddly wholesome. “because i wanted to help you get ready for tonight. there’s nothing better than taking credit for the date on my arm.”

date indeed—a platonic one.

you and geto were attending your university’s biggest charity gala tonight. as one of the most successful black tie events on campus, each attendee was required to look straight out of vogue magazine to ensure they raised enough money to make a difference.

geto—ever the gentleman—asked you to be his date. he wouldn’t get hounded by the customary droves of girls, and you’d have someone to match with.

of course, being your best friend, he decided to help you get ready.

he watched patiently as you dabbed the streak of lipliner away, smiling gently when you turned back to meet his eyes. he wordlessly moved forward to cup your cheeks, finishing up lining your cupids bow.

“there,” he said softly, “now some lipstick.” you gestured to the various tubes on your desk as you moved to dust some highlighter on your cheeks.

geto picked a particularly lovely shade and smoothly glided it across your lips. he seemed proud at his handiwork, beaming at you happily as soon as he finished.

“take a look,” he smirked, and you did just that. the mirror showed you someone beautiful.

somehow, stupid suguru had actually done a good job.

“nice job,” you mumbled, feeling oddly shy beneath his gaze. he cleaned up nice tonight—a bit too nice. so nice that you weren’t sure how to act around him when he attempted to tie his tie.

“you mean sensational job,” he laughed, flinging his tie around. “also please help. i can’t do this.”

you sighed as you moved closer to fix his tie. you could catch a whiff of his cologne — something fresh and oddly mouthwatering and it nearly made you screw up the final flip of the fabric.

suguru was acting a bit different, and it was driving you crazy. his presence was much closer than usual, and with every passing day, it seemed impossible to ignore the glaringly obvious fact that’d been looming over you for weeks.

geto suguru, your best friend, was an extremely attractive man.

you still weren’t sure how to handle this information. so far, it’d been unwarranted blushes and a whole lot of random butterflies where there shouldn’t be.

you supposed the gala would give you time to think—but you were wrong.

geto walked in through the ornately decorated doors with a smile, an arm threaded through his hair and the other wrapped around your waist. from this point, you could see all your fellow students interacting with the heads of various charities, and donations racking up by the second.

suguru stayed close, his touch firm and steady and searing and confusing in ways you couldn’t understand.

“would you like to explore a bit?” he whispered, his lips brushing your ear.

too flustered to speak, you wordlessly nodded as he dragged you to the photo booth at the edge of the venue.

“these are awesome,” he laughed, holding up a particularly unclassy mustache prop. you cringed, distancing yourself as much as you good within the tiny space to show your disapproval.

suguru pulled you closer again, his hands caressing your waist in a way that was more reverent than anything you’d ever felt. he was too close…it was too much.

he leaned close to you, gently pressing his forehead against yours.

“maybe i did too good of a job tonight,” he said lowly, tracing your lips with his finger.

“suguru,” you breathed out, “what is going on?”

he pulled away grinning. “you had a dusting of highlighter a bit too close to this one spot of your nose. i had to distract you so you wouldn’t stop me from touching your face.”

you groaned in frustration while suguru posed jubilantly for the camera.

the gala was beautiful. the pictures with suguru were super candid. neither of those were your major takeaways.

as you returned to your room for the night, you knew one thing for certain. suguru geto had become someone more than a best friend to you and there was nothing you could do about it.

unknown to you, suguru fell asleep that night dreaming of you, and all the ways he’d kiss you if he had the chance.

Reasoning:

I bounced between a few characters at first when deciding your match, but eventually I settled on Touya for the best choice for you. He meets pretty much all of the qualities you desire in a partner, and I feel like the two of you are similar in a lot of ways, so you would easily understand one another and your needs would be pretty compatible in a relationship!

Headcanons About Your Relationship:

- Okay, so starting off I think your appearance would draw Touya in right off the bat. He sees you and he thinks you just look so good, he loves your aesthetic and style and just can’t help but stare. And he honestly doesn’t see much to lose, so he approaches you and openly admits how attractive he finds you. He won’t show it but internally he’s definitely stoked when you agree to go on a date with him lol

- And as the two of you get to know each other, it doesn’t take long to realize how similar you are. He fully respects your desire for independence because he’s the same way, he likes to handle shit himself and not be treated like he’s made of glass so he’s more than happy to give you space whenever you need it, and won’t ever try to butt into your issues unless you explicitly ask him for help and/or comfort

- Honestly in general he’s not the best with words, and while he’ trying to get better at expressing affection because he wants to be a good boyfriend for you and wants you to know that he cares, he definitely loves that physical touch and gift-giving are more your speed. Gifts are easy for him and he’s constantly bringing back things you like when he comes home (just don’t ask him if he spent his own money on them because the answer is only yes about 50% of the time, but the thought behind the gifts is clear!)

- And he’s probably not big on physical touch at first, it’s not something he’s had in a long time, but as your relationship goes on it becomes much more comfortable for him. And it’s a lot easier for him to give you a kiss when you walk through the door than it is for him to verbally express his inner feelings about you, so really, it’s a win-win <3 And I think he’d lowkey love it if you just come up to him and lay on it, it’s pretty soothing for him and he likes just being able to play with your hair as your head rests in his lap

- I could totally see him getting invested in a lot of your hobbies, too. For one I absolutely see him as a gamer, he may not be the most drawn to visual novels but RPGs and such are definitely up his alley and he’d have fun playing with you if possible! And if you asked him to join and watch you play through a visual novel, he may tease you about it but he’ll do it because at the end of the day he really does want to make you happy

- And he’s a big adrenaline junkie too! After what he went through when he was young, not a lot really scares him, and obviously his everyday life is dangerous as is given he lives with a bounty on his head. So he’s absolutely up to join you when you go ziplining or bungee jumping if you’re willing to let him tag along, and once you feel up for it and have the time, he’d happily set up a time for the two of you to go skydiving for the first time so you can cross that off your bucket list :>

- In general I feel like he’s the kind of boyfriend who wouldn’t mind getting into trouble with you, either on accident or on purpose lol. If something sounds fun to you then he’s down, he obviously doesn’t care less about any possible rules to be broken and he’s more than happy to help you sneak off if/when you guys end up getting caught :> He’s also definitely a gossip, he loves telling you about the interesting things going on in the league and listening to everything you have to say about the drama in your loved ones’ lives, and he’ll never fluster at a little banter or teasing from you as he can easily give it right back <3

- He’s definitely a big fan of stay-in dates, since it’s not exactly the easiest for him to be seen out in the world. But he’d be up for something like a picnic or camping, since it’s in a secluded area where no one’s gonna stumble on either of you. He feels a bit awkward being romantic in front of others anyways, but when the two of you are alone in the woods together, he’s not afraid of sneaking a cheeky kiss or flirting with you heavily just to make you tease him back

- He’s also a big fan of cooking together and then settling in front of the TV to eat and watch one of your guys’ favorite shows. I honestly don’t think Touya was much of a cook before you guys met, he definitely seems like the kind of guy who lived off of instant noodles and frozen meals when he was alone. But cooking with you actually makes it interesting, and it feels more worth his time when the food is feeding both of you rather than just being for him. Plus he knows that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel where he can snuggle up with you on the couch and binge one of your favorite shows together at the end of it, so he’s much more open to cooking once you’re there to do it with him

- He’d definitely be down to help you dye your hair, too! Pre-big TV reveal, he’ll sometimes ask you to help with touch-ups for his hair, so if you want his help changing the color he’s willing to join in, and has the experience to actually do a good job too! He doesn’t mind the way his skin ends up dyed bright colors for days afterwards, though he will tease you for your neon hairline every once in a while until the dye on your own skin fades away

- Not having much relationship experience isn’t really a problem for Touya, because he also has none to go off of. The two of you are just figuring out how a relationship works together, learning as you go and finding a rhythm that works for the two of you. There may be moments where you both stumble, struggling with the vulnerability that a relationship brings, but you’re so similar and so drawn to each other that you’re always able to work through things and come to an understanding together in the end <3

- Bonus: He thinks both your quirk and your villain name are SO FUCKING COOL omg he loves knowing that you’re able to help him break free of restraints in a sticky situation, he’s definitely not shy to admit that you’re hot shit and a huge asset whenever he’s talking with the League about you

I also considered Shoto (what can I say, you just seem to match well with the Todorokis lol) and Shinsou when deciding your match! I feel that they would both be drawn to you and your personality, and they also both have many of the qualities that you look for in a match. They're both more independent people that would be into a lot of your hobbies, and both very heavy on physical touch imo (and gifts in Shoto's case too!) When I really thought about it, though, you and Touya just fit together so perfectly, so while I still think these two could be great matches to you he just seemed to match you so perfectly!

sorry its been an awful while since i last sent an ask ^^; life sure has been busy in more ways than one haha. i hope life has been treating you well!! hopefully you’re able to enjoy yourself and the joys daily life brings us :D lately ive been trying to think of things that really make me happy even if its a small thing like “im glad i brushed my hair it looks lovely!” hopefully you can do the same if possible. i think its good to have that little light of joy with is especially when days are dreadful. even something like im glad i had a little chat with that person..it was nice :> (i often find myself having that as my daily answer for things that bring me joy especially when i talk to my discord friends ^^). ive said this probably more times than i can count in my asks but since its winter earth is in the right spot to have a better view of the stars and so they appear so much brighter; especially the milky way 💫 i hope that despite whatever daily challenges you may have that you are able to not let that stop you from enjoying your life :> make sure to drink and eat something if you can - our bodies are alive too so lets take care of them 😤💪 hopefully this can help you too but i find when days are hard i like to remind myself that stars can die any-day despite the regret that maybe they didn’t make the most of what they wanted in life so i like to think “oh wow if that’s the case im going to live my life in a way that makes me happy instead of appeasing others.” that most likely doesn’t make sense but that’s okay haha maybe one day it will ^^ life can be a bitch sometimes but as long as we have our jar of stars that are joy with us we can overcome anything. whether it be artblock or mental health, anything that it is you can make it through it 💪 loads of ppl love you and care for you so hopefully you’ll always know that <3 *gives u a hug and some of those cosmic brownies with peppermint hot chocolate* i hope life treats you right because you deserve every ounce of love, happiness, and peace there is. love you!/p
