paige was so fucking crazy sometimes. we had just been watching a movie on her couch, when she went to her room to grab something. i don’t even remember what she needed, i just remember that she disappeared into her room and didn’t come out. i got up from the couch, searching to see where the fuck she went. i enter her room to see her laying on her bed, in the glow of the sun through her window.

“paige, baby, what are you doing?” i ask, walking to the edge of the bed and moving her hair from over her eyes. she grins, eyes still closed, and says, “i’m just really tired, and it was really warm here, you should definitely come over here and lay down with me.” she opens her eyes to realize im right next to her, then grabs my hips and pulls me onto the bed. i face her, just to look at how amazing she looks. tired eyes, a sleepy smile drawn across her face. she moves her nose to the crook of my neck, and i feel her breathing deepen almost instantly. i move my nails over her back, feeling her grip around me tighten. god, i love her.

So J.M. Barrie invented the concept of "walking the plank" for the original Peter Pan play/book. Actual pirates in history didn't do that, they'd sooner cut you down with a cutlass or shove you over the railing if they actually wanted you dead, right?

On Once Upon A Time, you hear our very own Captain Killian "Hook" Jones threaten people to walk the plank a couple of times I remember off the top of my head. He does actually force Blackbeard (don't get me started) to walk it in 3x17 "The Jolly Roger", slashing his back and kicking him down to the sharks below for good measure.

I just think it'd be fun if, in world, Hook invented the act of walking the plank bc he's just that ✨️ DRAMATIC ✨️

And when other people copy it, whether it's other pirates in the Enchanted Forest or some pirate in a movie Henry shows him, it irritates the hell out of him because that's HIS move. Being a thief is fine, being unoriginal isn't.
