[AU Verses I have for this Baku//gou- or plan to have.] Musician!AU- Has no formal musical training/background and learned through practice. Brief stint of popularity in a band years ago but they went separate ways, citing creative differences (they didn’t like him). To date, he’s an independent artist who can be found on video/music streaming sites, busking out in the streets or in late night open mic pubs. Has a somewhat steady income and buys his own set up. Is hesitant/doesn’t want to be a part of any group ever again and battles with inherent self-destructive habits. Baku//gou’s music doesn’t strictly adhere to one genre and changes based on his interests but specialises in folk punk + rock. [ Reference: Andrew Jackson Jihad and Pat ‘The Bunny’ Schneeweis ]
Bounty Hunter!AU- Born to the Second Prince in a royal family, Baku//gou has always had a complex against the current King’s son because he feels he’s more qualified to inherit the throne rather than the other. That resentment and jealousy ensures that he never stays in the royal castle for too long, opting to wander the lands on horse and exploring all that he is able. During his travels, he comes across a tiny dragon whom he eventually bonds with as a companion.  SeaWizard!AU- Born with the body of an octopus on his lower half and magic in his blood, Baku//gou is known as an elusive being who can grant the wishes of both merfolk and humans alike- often as hefty prices. While he resides mostly underwater, he emerges once in a while to his temporary dwellings in caves around low tide- mostly to harvest ingredients not found in the sea. His dietary habits involve fish, sometimes sharks and on occasion: humans.  GodTouched!AU- The abilities and general well-being of gods are sustained through the beliefs and worship of mortals. As tradition, beliefs and culture dwindle over the passage of time, many become old gods whose names are long forgotten. Especially those whose worshipping rites involve bloodshed and the provision of things near and dear to one’s heart. They are doomed to fade without chosen champions to bless with their gifts, without mortals to sustain their form. Many revert back to their original states (animals, objects even), becoming no better than spirits- doomed to wander on Earth for eternity. Some fall into corruption, losing their minds and becoming malicious spirits if only to cling onto the vestige and glory of their formal self. Having once been the deity one goes to for promises of victory, the passage of time does him no good. Baku//gou is fading bit by bit everyday. Alone, lingering, watching as the remainder of his power fades into nothingness. Just waiting for corruption to seep in. VILLAIN VERSE: DISMANTLE: The problem with baku//gou is that he’d never become a villain on his own volition. The problem with him is that he’s too baku//gou. That’s why it’s a lot more effective to dig deeper and remove everything that’s him. Empty his head and rip everything that makes him who he is out. Fill it with A fever so potent it burns everything to ash, including rationality. This is a verse where he is involuntarily reconditioned through powerful reset/will bending quirks, suppressants and grooming. Where a part of him is still resisting internally. Personality is more subdued and harder to rile up (still possible though) because his brain feels like it’s constantly splitting apart for some reason. PURGE: His reputation has never been the cleanest even when he goes to great lengths to perfect what he can control (grades, independence etc). So when rumours that he killed innocents in a botched rescue session surfaces, his declining reputation hits an all time low. Unbeknownst to Baku//gou, it was an elaborate set up to implicate and lead him to believe he’d done the deed but the attempt had been successful- investigations were under way and did not look good for him. Naturally, the people around him began to react. But even with the support from a few others, the more dire the situation, the more it crumbles. His family became the subject of ridicule and antagonistic gestures. And while Bakugou had always maintained the belief that nothing was going to matter once he reaches the top- its nothing short of devastating to realise that now he can never EVER reach it. Even his parents, who want desperately to believe in their son, have their doubts. And baku//gou’s crumbling from the inside. The last straw came when someone very important to hint carefully persuaded/implied that he should just confess. It allowed baku//gou to reach an understanding that no one really ever believed him. Along with that despair came rage. A rage he clung to because he was nothing else without it. If they wanted to see him as a villain so bad, then so be it. Fine. They win. They’ll get the villain they deserve.]
