So I’m rewatching One Tree Hill and I’ve been loving it after not watching it for years. However one thing I didn’t miss was how hypocritical the fans were when it came to Brooke & Peyton. On almost any YouTube oth video I fans say that Peyton was a bad friend to Brooke and she didn’t deserve her as a friend. I love me some Brooke Davis but that’s just a flat out lie and I’ll tell you exactly why.

Brooke went after Lucas when she knew good & damn well that Peyton had feelings for him. She literally forced her to admit it in 1x7 and Peyton literally kissed him in front of everyone. Like hello, why tf would you go after this boy after that?! And let’s not also forget that she tired to get Peyton back in a toxic relationship in the same episode to get her out of the way of getting with Lucas. I would say that’s bad friend behavior.

And she had sex with Nathan and lied to Peyton about it for TWO YEARS but has the nerve to get mad at her for kissing Lucas. And I know some will say, oh they were broken up. Well that doesn’t matter because they broke up & got back together multiple times and that’s still fucked up to have sex with your best friends boyfriend right after they just broke up.

Then Brooke gets mad at Peyton for kissing Lucas when she was literally DYING and then Peyton was honest with her but Brooke never was.

And the worst thing of all was Brooke making fun of Peyton’s mother’s death. That’s worse than anything Peyton’s ever done to her and was so fucking low.

So who really was the bad friend & toxic because it sure as hell wasn’t Peyton Sawyer and I will die on that hill.

the fact that rhaena married garmund hightower and had six daughters with him in canon is SO funny to me bc garmund's older brother, lord hightower, had six kids of his own and it's not just possible but frankly likely that the two sets of children married each other, bringing targaryen blood into the main hightower line.

so like, lord leyton hightower and his mad genius daughter malora could very much have targaryen blood. do you KNOW how loudly daemon must be screaming from beyond the grave?

this isn’t really an anti brooke post because in general i really do love her so much. but the way a lot of her biased fans overlook and even justify the way she treated peyton for most of season 4 is just deplorable. apparently we live in a world where kissing your best friend’s boyfriend makes you the devil, but using your best friend’s pain as a punchline makes you a badass. i understand that brooke felt betrayed, but so did peyton when brooke made jokes about her mothers and when she found out about her sex tape with nathan. at the end of the day there are bigger things in life than boy drama, and brooke crossed the line multiple times by making fun of peyton’s worst trauma.
