But listen to me, and I will not back away from this opinion,

If someone were to "seduce" Laerryn into even more hubristic behavior, that person would be Ludinus bc despite his social standing or importance, if he ever reached her, he would've said all the right things to feed her ego and her ambition.

She has Patia and Nydas, but they're no stand-in for what Evandrin was and there'll always be a gap in this area of support, of just as enthusiastic ambition and excitement. And Ludinus would maybe try to give her just that.

But just for a while.

I do agree there would be a point, she would've noticed that "Oh, this guy has issues. No, I don't want to break the order like that. I have people that love me and I love them too much for that. I've found religionless devotion in ways this man could never." bc Ludinus, at the end of the day, feels like a man that's been lonely and selfish all his life and Laerryn isn't like him.

Laerryn knows love and, in the end, that made all the difference.
