Loved the new update!! I already liked Tommy, but the little scene where he packs up some things for Zorlock really endeared me to him?? Like how if Zorlock is wearing glasses he even thinks to give them a case and a lense wipe. I know part of it is that he still feels guilty but idk it's just sweet that he's so thoughtful, even when he's a little afraid of them.

So yesterday, I read the recent sub!San, gurl I was so tired all day and needed a break, so thank you for another amazing fic. Okay! I had an… interesting dream about San last night, but not San of Ateez. Choi San as the crown prince of South Korea 🙈 I shared a bit of the dream (honestly, I don’t even know why he was the Prince of South Korea, but it sounded okay cuz it's a dream lol). He was the most desirable, handsome, and kindest prince ever. There was a part where I'm his secret girlfriend, and I was like, ‘Oh cool,’ but also like, ‘How long has this been going on? How did we meet? WTF did I do to win the prince’s heart?!’ your gurl here needs more details and information! Hate that you remembering half of the dream!!! 😤)

Okay, back to the dream, we were at an airport… San held my hand as we walked toward the private plane, looking at me with loving eyes, feeling protective over me. (I’m guessing it's because I’m not Korean, and maybe k-netizens wouldn’t approve of their dear beloved Prince being with a non-Korean original girl 😶 It felt like I was walking into a den of lions) To the public, San was a gentleman with a strong aura but in private with me, he was like a little kitten, vulnerable and super clingy, yet possessive. San was feeling the heavy burden of being a prince and said he had to be ‘a man and an adult’ at all times. He was so smitten with me. He asked me to be patient with him, knowing full well the challenges of being with him. He was so grateful to have met me, saying he could be his true self with me. And he never stopped telling me how much he loved me with every beat of his heart. He feels calm and at peace with me like I'm his beautiful calm spring in his dark storm that came to him like a silver lining 😭😭😭 his words in my dream!!! 🫠

i could just imagine the way he'd shower you in affection and gifts, then fly you across the world just to be alone with you (no cameras or prying eyes). he so wants to show you off as his and have you live with him, but the pressure is too much and he knows the backlash you'd receive just by being near him.

no one knows that you are the one taking those photos that are going viral because of how handsome he looks. that you convinced him to interact more with his loyal subjects and show them how down to earth he is. and that you are the reason why he feels a lot more secure and confident in public.

there's something about being his secret girlfriend that's kind of hot. kissing in the shadows or behind closed doors, and knowing that you shouldn't be doing it but you both can't help it. and san is particularly needy whenever he sees you because you're rarely able to meet in private, making every meeting desperate and hot.

even though you can't outwardly show it, you still make your mark in his life. of course, there are the literal marks that you suck into his skin -- from his neck, down his chest, and over his thighs (he whines about how risky you're being, but he secretly craves having the tender bruises as they're physical reminders of you) -- but there are other subtle ways you claim him.

to name a few, there are the matching bracelets you both wear, the cologne you chose for him, and the special shirts you buy that show off his chest...he's like your doll, an obedient man to dress up and accessorize as you please. and it pleases him just as much -- if not, more.

he wants to look good for you.

5) (Explore) Who's your favorite Voice?

So, this one's a little hard for me! There's a lot about them that I love, and picking a favorite is hard for me to do! But I guess if I had to choose a favorite, I would say that my favorite voice is The Voice of the Cheated!

There are quite a few reasons, but something that stands out to me is how he essentially tries to gather the other voices against what he sees as a common enemy. It usually doesn't matter the idea, if he doesn't have one, he will do that idea! Something about how he is so against unfairness makes me really happy to see him in action.

Cheated is just a guy I think you can really depend on to try and not screw you over. He's very genuine, and his scene with Thorn really meant a lot to me. I know people really want to kiss Thorn, but its so sweet how Cheated sees her as a victim of circumstance, too. He's so angry, but they did this.

I don’t know. He's a guy that tries to pull everyone together, even if in his worst moments he wants to focus on himself. I like Cheated.

6) (Explore) If you have a least favorite Voice, then what do you think could make you like him?

Hmm, I don't think I have a least favorite voice. I think by Fandom standards though, some of their portrayals are what I don't like. I love Broken, Smitten and Opportunist, but I do feel like people often hone in on one part of their characters instead of what they really are. They are some of my most beloved voices and sometimes it feels like they're made to be more 2 dimensional than they already are sometimes!

But that isn't particularly canon, so I don't have a least favorite voice by those standards! I do wish that every voice could be fleshed out a little more, with interactions with different voices, but thats asking for quite a bit! This is a gripe I have with all of them unfortunately, not enough time to really see them in the situations I want to.

The lushness of the forest gives him comfort in the way camouflage gives a frog its sense of survival. His hair is dark green like the brush he resides in and while his horns are a strange shape compared to the skeleton of the bushes, they are dark and he keeps his head low. His sportswear gives him ease of mobility as he slowly crawls forward to the prey he stalks in the woods. A net at his side and his sandals nearly bent from where he's ready to dart out at a moment's notice, the youth keeps his sights clear.

This bothersome sighting is indeed a part of many rumors that had graced the young soldier's ears, and while he was sure it wouldn't get such smiles if it was truly dangerous... he's a hunter and only he can convince himself if this creature deserved its freedom. Who knows what it could be, or do.

He hears the brush across from him rustling, the only obstacle between them a pair of stone steps that he could easily dart across and catch it. He would have darted forward at once, if the sound of sandals clicking the stone steps did not cause whatever his prey in the bushes was—to dart away at lightning speed. It wasn't silent either as it basically tore grass in its wake with how fast it took off, but alas, it was still hidden.

With his prey pretty much out of the field for reasonable capture, unless he wanted to tear apart the forest with wings and talons galore, he raises himself from the bushes with a rather unamused look. Who he spots is a rather tall woman in a traditional style of dress, looking down at him... who was in the bushes, for unknown reasons as far as she could tell.

His embarrassment grows.

"... I'm here for the creature Largeankle, from the rumors about. I was attempting to capture it just now." He starts to roll up his net while keeping his tone respectful. "So sorry for the disturbance, ma'am."

The forest was a good respite from the hustle and bustle of the larger crowds, and for a person with a limited social battery, it was definitely good for a much needed break. She had never been one for crowds, even if she tended to attract attention by the very nature of who she was in her own native Inazuma.

Her only company at this time was her thoughts and the occasional rustle of the bushes. She couldn't understand how they managed to get a forest to grow in a ship, and was it sustainable? Trees were one of the few things that tended to thrive over multiple generations. Almost as if they were as eternal as she was. Yet they were being grown artificially. It was baffling to her.

Yet it seems her peace and musings weren't to last. As she rounded a corner, her geta clacking along the wooden path, a roar is heard and she sees a figure dart away through the underbrush. Had she any desire to chase, she probably could catch up with immense difficulty, but she had no desire as such.

She's about to move on and track it as an odd occurrence, but not dangerous, when she hears a voice behind her and turns. He spoke of a Largeankle creature, one she had never heard of. It must be a local thing. But this horned boy knew.

"Tell me of this Largeankle and why you are so insistent on catching it." The words are spoken in a demand, of someone unused to being denied. But her tone is not cruel, just curious. If it was a threat, she wanted to know so she could exterminate this potential threat.

11: What do you like best about this fic?

100% the scenes where I get to do horror.

Not only are they my favorite scenes to write personally (Because I love the horror genre and I have way too much fun writing evocative, fearful descriptions), they also are a key part of my whole concept for TALW.

You see, when I was doing research, I realized there's a key part of superhero world building that I feel like a lot of modern superhero media seems to neglect, both the MCU and The Boys in particular. And it's that there isn't really a justification for why superheroes would exist in that world.

Sure, there are villains that attack once in a blue moon, and maybe it's the publicity of having superheroes, but I feel like the worlds of some of the more mediocre superhero works don't really give a good justification as to why the heroes exist.

Of course, there are works that exactly address that thinking, and there are also some works where I feel like superheroes are 100% justified (Most works featuring Batman in particular, because Gotham is an absolute shithole and it 100% needs some kind of superhero in it to still be functioning), but I wanted to bring my own take on that justification.

This brings me to XANA. Imo, one of cartoons' most horrifying villains and something that would've DEFINITELY given the Lyoko Warriors trauma if the show was anything above a Y7 rating.

So, I have essentially one of the most terrifying villains in all of cartoons, and a problem where I need to figure out how to justify the superheroes of my fic without looking forced or heavy-handed.

...So I decided to make the heroes justified by the fact that nearly every villain in the AU is terrifying and powerful in some capacity. Sure, some characters are definitely weak, some are not scary, and a select few are both at the same time (Looking at you, Chairman)...but the general consensus is that each and every scene featuring a villain should at least be terrifying from a civilian point of view. So that, when the superheroes show up, it feels earned, hopeful, and like a beautiful release of tension.

...And because I like horror, but I've said that already.

😤 — what do you dislike the most about being part of the rpc?

Honestly, I feel like there aren't that many things that I truly dislike... but that's also because I don't really feel like I am a part of the roleplaying community, and maybe that's where the issue lies?

I guess I dislike the fact that it really doesn't feel like much of a community at all. It feels like a bunch of separate groups, kind of like the various tables at a high school, all with their own little cliques. I like the groups that I'm a part of, I like all the people that I follow even if I don't feel like I'm a part of their group.

The issue isn't so much that these groups exist, really, that's bound to happen in any scenario, groups will form, I just dislike how difficult it can be to become a part of these groups as an outsider, and how it can feel like you're not really appreciated or liked until the whole group has come to accept you. It can also feel like you're being left out when a group is all doing stuff together and you're not a part of it, even though you have started interacting with most of the members of the group but not all... It's possible I'm a little overly sensitive to that kind of stuff since I used to be that friend who was never invited.

So, I'm redoing Donovan(I swear I'll draw with with his big old wings, it's just easier for me to deal with it) because I reread some of the Dragon au stuff, and it got me thinking. What if the seer made his punishment more severe for his actions, having his draconic form more beastly, sharp, aggressive, hideous. How would that effect him, emotionally, and mentally, being forced to look in the mirror everyday and seeing a hideous beast staring back at him instead of his normal appearance, scales, fangs, claws, a long serpentine frame rippling with muscle. I can only imagine that pain he goes through, trying to find a way to reverse it but to no avail. Do you think he would go mad, lashing out at everything and everyone. Having his own soldiers trying to slay him in his sleep for his appearance? Having no warm hands coming his way ever again...but then years afterwards a poor unfortunate mage nearly burned at the stake for healing abilities or a tragic warrior who lost everything to dictators, the individual not caring about his appearance or his aggressive behavior, just wanting a place to stay and hide. Away from those who broke them at the camel's back. I wonder how Donovan would think if such a tragic soul found their way into his soul, healing him, shattering the ice around the burning ember of softness deep inside.

And I just laid Donovan bare there, holy crap. We'll, I hope you enjoyed my triad of a tragic octopus dragon bastard.

So, the way I see Dragon Donovan is that he doesn't terribly care about his appearance, or at least he pretends not to. For the first little while it was inconvenient since he was a lot larger than before, but it was relatively simple to enlarge the Dark Fortress since he still had a lot of mana. His whole schtick is conquering through fear so being a large, scary dragon only made that easier.

He doesn't have an army per say, since he prefers to summon his own soldiers, and the other three skeletons are more flunkies than anything. However, a dragon catches more attention than a sorcerer and after being transformed, there were a lot more attempts made on his life.

Only when the time period to break the curse is exhausted does he start to change. At first, he's visibly angry, destroying multiple rooms in the fortress in his fury. The boys decide to leave him alone for a few days, maybe they know why he's angry or maybe they don't, either way their reactions are another story entirely.

After he calms down, Donovan would shut himself in his quarters for several days, not wanting the others to see him in this state. He's more than distraught as he realizes that there's nothing he can do to reverse this transformation. For whatever reason, his soulmate never found him and now it wouldn't matter if they ever did.

It's business as usual after that, except he's more detached now. There's very little sign of the skeleton he once was and he's more ruthless than before. He doesn't care if he's seen as a beast at this point because he actually is one.

So imagine his shock when he crosses paths with an unfortunate warrior years later. One who could barely wield a sword and yet was determined to avenge their family. He doesn't know this individual, but they claim he destroyed their town when they were a child. Despite their anger, Donovan can sense there's something different about this person and, rather than kill them, he takes pity on them. He offers them a place to stay, a place to heal, and maybe a chance to improve their sword skills. It's under the guise of using them as another peon of course, but part of him wonders if he should dare to hope that maybe, just maybe, they're the one he was looking for all along.
